Clean water and clean room. Free (boat or taxi) shuttles from and to NangYuan/MarHaad pier. Good for snorleling and diving at front sea. Unlike other thailand place, there are no mosquitos and little flies. It was really good for me.
When high tides, being isolated and have nothing but watching ocean. So you need checking weather before booking. Smell in bath room.
The hotel is well isolated from noisy city and market, it's really the last untouched land on Koh Tao. It's so quite and calm and the Vue is magnificent. Right in front of the hotel you have one of the best snorkeling and diving site on the island, a tortle is living there. We have seen it lots of times, so cute and lovely. When the weather is good, there are kayak for free from the hotel, we used it to go far and to do snorkeling where there is no boat neither people. A real paradise for travelers looking for relaxation. There are lots of squirrels on the trees in hotel. And lots of coconut on the ground, you can just pick them up and enjoy it.
For people who would like to visit all the island or who needs to go to diving schools nearby the pier, the hotel is located quite far and expensive to call a taxi/boat
The location, the restaurant quality and service, the staff
The bathroom was smelly The changed bathroom towels occasionally didn't feel fresh.
Fantastic view from the room. Good for snokeling.
We got wet when getting on the boat at harber. Difficult to get on the boat with large bags.
The only way to reach this hotel is by taxi boat (cheaper option) or in a 4x4 drive. Make sure to contact the hotel before arrival to take advantage of their transfer service. There is literally nothing around this place unless you climb a gazillion steep stairs and walk for another 15 min, but there is a small shop in the reception should you need anything basic. Our room had a terrace with a gorgeous view, but it definitely needs a little maintenance (the entire resort does), and the bathroom was not up to the standards of the room; which btw looks MUCH better on the photos than in real life. The hotel manager wasn’t particularly friendly either, but he provided all the necessary information for our stay. The hotel offers free transfers by boat to Koh Tao’s pier and back, twice daily, and once a day to and from Nang Yuan, which is really convenient. There’s a restaurant that opens from 7am to 10 pm, the food and the fruit shakes were delicious, and the staff were friendly. Prices are the equivalent to a medium budget restaurant in the US or Europe (25-30 Eur p/p approx). It has a very nice deck with sunbeds, guests may borrow snorkelling equipment and kayaks, free of charge. From 10 am to 15h the small beach is flooded with day tour boats so make sure to enjoy the place early in the morning and after 16h!!!! :) I particularly loved it but I wouldn’t consider it a 4 star resort. If you’re looking for an acceptable place to disconnect and make loads of lovely, colourful fishy friends, then this hotel is perfect. Do not expect any luxury, just enjoy the wonderful surroundings.
