Service and staff were first class, a quiet hotel nothing too much problem beautiful quay side location, roses at breakfast for the ladies a gentle and nice touch A bit pricy, but ok for what we got and location etc, the name isnt on the front of hotel
Very impressed with the hotel and the helpful attitude of the staff would definitely return if in Rab again
The location of the hotel is just perfect, and the grounds were so beautiful. The hotel staff were kind and helpful, and while the room we had was very red, it was comfortable with a great view of the water. Some reviewers complained about the bells, but our room was soundproofed enough that we never heard them. It was overpriced, and the breakfast was just ok.
area on peninsula RAB very poor service in restaurant
Location, service and general ambience. When we arrived we were informed that no room was available and unfortunatley we had to spend the first night at an alternative (very reasonable) residence. This was provided free of charge and we received a discount for the remainder two nights. The situation was resolved amicably and we have no complaints about the final outcome but it does seem odd that the reservation was not complied with.
Rab Town is fabulous, and hotel is well situated to explore and staff are friendly. The wifi worked straighforwardly in lobby areas. Breakfast quite pleasant to sit outside. The view over the habour is nice but.... The biggest problem is no air conditioning, so because it is hot there we had to open windows, which because we faced the harbour meant we heard all the noise from motorbikes, bars, and excited tourists chattering away all hours. Suspect less noisy if you face the back, but we were not able to change.
the staff is very friendly and the location is in the center the interiour is outdated and falling apart, the rooms very small, no aircondition the breakfast is very basic with bad coffe, the juice is only colored sugar water and there are not any fruits. renovation is overdue.
Good location in the middle of the town. Shops and market nearby. Food ok, 4 meals at the dinner menu
I liked the position, in the centre. Furniture is old; no air conditioning; the towels and the small soaps were added/remade randomly (one day yes, one day no)
Great center location. Parking is right behind the hotel and they have a electronic card system to get in and out of the town. Rooms are normal, nothing too fancy, but all with a real nice balcony. Breakfast was ok, not very interesting. Internet is advertized to be everywhere but it is NOT TRUE. Only in the foyer. I had read that it was very silent but the fact that the Hotel is in the main piazza of Rab, makes it quite noisy. Saturday nights, you can forget about sleeping. The disco ges on until 3.30 am. In the park in front of the Hotel are also play grounds for kids and lots of people going by.
Convenient to the old town Needs air conditioning and a facelift in rooms
Great place; quite but with all facilities None; just in the road to the hotel no enough signals to get there
I liked the food - really great buffet- and the sea view room. Location of the hotel is great The elevators - noisy and little bit outdated, room cleaning can be improved also
Very friendly hotel with good choice at breakfast and very good value half board
The buffet dinner and breakfast were both very good. Nice lounge area. Nice pool. Noisy room on front of hotel and inconsiderate staff early in the morning cleaning outside. Also, lifts made a terrible noise. Location a bit remote. Little by way of other bars / restaurants nearby. Need a car if you want to travel anywhere else
It's a nice hotel in a beautiful place. There was lot o do for me and my family. We had a great time swimming, playing sports and just enjoying the amenities of the resort. We also went to the old town of Rab and had some great nights and some beautiful boat trips
Well placed, confortable rooms. Maybe too big and unexceptional building.
The hotel is perfectly located on the center of the city. In front of the seaport. The welcoming of the staff was not good at all. When I arrived, there were no parking place in the city center close to the hotel. But the hotel had some reserved parking place empty ... but didn't want to give them as I was staying only one night ! Then, I had 2 times to go to the reception check-in and check-out. There each time I had to wait because nobody was there. Last thing ... a quarter to 10, breakfast was already closed !
Nice view to the harbour. Breakfast was OK. We did not get the service offered on the home page. Air-conditioning did not work, outside was 40C, and the room's temperature was unbearable. Staff said they could not help, we should have opened the window, and we did not even get a fan. In the night we could not open the window because of the very loud hip-hop disco (till 4 AM) just under the window (home page did not informed about the neighborhood). We did not get a discount from the price. The parking lot was very far and we had to pay for it. After the first night we left the hotel.
This hotel is located just a few doors down from a bar/club which played music until 4am on every night of our stay to a volume that was still audible with all windows closed and with ear plugs. After changing rooms this was still no better. If you want a good night's sleep this is definitely not a hotel to chose! Also, the parking as advertised is actually to be found in a field 400m walk away from the hotel.
Location was great. Pull out couch was good for our 2.5 yr old to sleep on. Pool was not open in October, which was part of the reason we booked there. Breakfast was below average. Room was nice, small cruise ship like window, but great view. No lampshades or bedskirt, which was a bit weird. Felt like there were only a few guests in entire large hotel. This hotel is probably a lot better in peak tourist/ summer season, but desolate in October!
Quality of room, and warm welcome
The hotel was what as expected for the amount of money. The staff was helpful and we had a nice time there. While not problematic, for a longer stay the lack of variety for the breakfast might be a bit of a problem to some.
the staff was very helpful, no problem w/english. very nice location w/great relaxing patio. nice that it did have a resturarant. Breakfast was great. they even served breakfast earlier for us. great time. needed to spend more days here. it was hard to find, set back some from the street.
The staff at the Pansion Tamaris were genuinely extremely friendly and entertaining from the moment we arrived until we left. They speak fluent English (as well as many other languages!). The hotel is modern and clean with the best in-room air conditioning unit I've ever used. The evening meal provided was very good quality food with a varied choice. The location is perfect. It's about 10-15 mins walk from Rab town centre but is located at a tranquil marina. The walk to the town centre is along the picturesque coastal path. The breakfast was a bit basic with just bread and different meat and spreads.
clean hotel and hotel staff very friendly
In a peaceful spot and the view was very pleasant to wake up to. The manager was very obliging. Restaurant food was very nicely cooked The assistant/waiter was slightly odd! (Over the top) the hotel and its location was more modern/suburban than expected, prefer traditional buildings
Great location by the water. A great welcome from Marino at Reception on arrival and great service received from him also. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely restaurant, good food. Easy walking distance into Rab. Both my husband and I thought the pillows were far too high, but this wouldn"t stop us from staying there again.
everything, the best place i stayed in Croatia. comfy, clean, US-style room, large balcony, great view, great service, very friendly staff and owners. i was the only guest at the moment so was served my own personal customized-just-for-me breakfast ))) the manager helped me program the sattelite tv. great view over the harbor, climate control, good rate for the room. could leave my bag there after the checkout while i was exploring the town and waiting for my ferry later that day. the owner (Dulijano) suggested a great spot for taking pictures of the old town that i wouldn't have found on my own (and it wasn't mentioned in my LPlanet))) at first i thought i goofed w/my hotel choice since it was a longer walk from the old town than i expected. but the walk is super-pleasant and picturesque, the air is amazing and it's still about 20 mins only. i took diff routes and explored more of the island
new hotel good food
quite, friendly, clean etc...
close to the sea we didn´t like the hotel system, a bit of chaotic, nobody informs you about things you should know (e.g. breakfast, parking - we have to ask for parking paper that we are guests at their hotel)The most of the stuff was kind of unfriendly and the other fact was they couldn´t speak English properly so it was sometimes hard to explain what we wanted. The accomodation is very poor, furniture, bathroom needs to be refurnished. never again
The location of the hotel is stunning, in one of the most beautiful bays. The hotel was functional and clean which is about all that can be said, very definately only two star.
The proximity of the Casa Blanca restaurant and the good food served there as well as the proximity to the old Rab town. The common areas of the hotel were not clean. The hotel was not user-friendly and everything had a separate charge. Also worst breakfast in Croatia.
good hotel, good value when taking half board the breakfast was not so good
the hotel was well located (close to the beach) but not easy to find this is a hotel that survived communist times and it reminded us a bit of that. for those who want to get an idea about those times may be a good choice. staff not very friendly and made mistakes on our bill
Good location and helpful staff.
Friendly staff, nice big room and bathroom, clean and very comfortable beds. And very quiet.
Nice familly hotel, beautifull and kind staff, great dinner, clean and comfort rooms, nice and quite place..It was a great to spend a time in this worm hotel! We pay by cash (Euro/Kuna) and get a free wellnes! There is no enything bad to say for this wonderfull hotel!!
A very quiet location in a small village near the highway and not far (50km) from Plitvice Natural Park. Rather good and cheap the dinner. The place (at open air) for dinner was too dark. Avoid the coffe at breakfast.
Meal and Drink prices reasonable. Only 5km from main motorway route from northern Croatia to Dubrovnik.
A good recently built hotel and a good alternative if Plitvice lake hotels are full or seem too expensive. Nice feeling in early morning wake- up like in a countryside guesthouse, the same time all necessary hotel amenities are available. Good value/money ratio. Wireless internet not available in the rooms (at least not in one we stayed). Had a room with quite large bathroom, but designed unconvenient when using facilities. May have more fruit/vegetable offer in breakfast.
The food, cleanliness of your room, hotel staff Wireless should be also in the rooms, not only at reception desk.
The staff (efficient and polite) Small room, night light didnt work, many other items in the room in bad condition
Location of the hotel, less than one hour to plitvice lakes or to the sea. Very cold reception when we arrived. In the room there were, at least, 5 spiders. In the bathroom, the shower column was maintained by a piece of plastic, there was an electrical cable protruding on the side of the window frame. Unbelieveable !!! Concerning the breakfast, it's just foul ! The restaurant on the other hand offers a menu with a choice of over 50 different dishes, I really do not see how a hotel with 31 rooms cans offer such a variety of fresh dishes !!?? impossible !! I really recommend to people staying here to choose a dish popular enough so that the foods are fresh. Access to the wellness free if room paid in cash but in addition if paid by credit card, unacceptable! Staff really not friendly and not accommodating !
Very nice location close to the beautiful town of Rab (a few minutes by water taxi - very convenient and nice to cross). Also good view on the city from your balcony if you book with sea view Parking spaces limited if you arrive by car. Also unfortunately other hotel guests 'reserve' the chairs at the pool using their towels and just showing up only for a short moment in a whole day - a shame that the hotel does not interfere to make sure that people who really want to stay at the pool can use the chairs
Gorgeous view of the harbor and old town of Rab, great facilities (pool, boat)
the airco; fast elevators; late special diner by arrival they close the refrigerator the day before leaving.
Wonder family runs the establishment. The price was more than worth it and the rooms were great. Besides that, it was in a great location on the Adriatic Sea and was centrally located between Plitvice Lakes, Zadar, and Rejieka, so you should have no problem getting there by car. There is no air conditioning, but the rooms have ceiling fans and full length shudders in the doorways leading out to the patio. The ceiling fan and the ocean breeze coming right into our room were enough to keep us comfortable on a very, very hot day. So, it wasn't a problem really.
