Staff was friendly and professional. Loved the location of the hotel. Prices of the food in the restaurant was a bit expensive. I did not like i had to pay for parking.
The Westin was the perfect place for me to stay in Alexandria for a recent business meeting. The rate that I paid was very reasonable for the area and for the quality that I expect from the Westin brand. The room—and especially the bed—was very comfortable and essential in getting a peaceful night's sleep. The location of this hotel is great, just a short walk to the King Street Metro station, and a longer but pleasant walk down to the waterfront. The downside of this location is that many of the nearby businesses close early since it's primarily a daytime business area. It's necessary to either walk down King Street or explore elsewhere to find things to do or places to eat, especially if you operate on a later schedule. Additionally, I thought the charge for the valet parking was incredibly high and far above what is typically charged for garage parking in Alexandria.
Everything was great, however it took quite a long time to get warm water to the shower.
I've stayed at this hotel once a year for several years and the customer service, public facilities, and food are consistently excellent. The furniture in the rooms, however, is starting to look a bit worn. My stay was nice overall and I look forward to returning next year.
Adrian Renart, at the front desk, is the ultimate professional and went to great length to provide a memorable guest experience. He took great care in extending my stay giving me a great rate and a few perks. Very pleasant personality indeded. I had a similar experience with the valet parking crew; they always received us with a smile and were extra helpful. Very positive experience overall and will definitely stay there again.
Great rooms, bed and shower. After driving for 12 hours, decided to eat in the restaurant Trademark. Make sure to get the Beer Can Chicken and charred broccoli. It was AWESOME!

The hotel was very kind to upgrade us to a suite for our anniversary. The room was beautiful and we enjoyed how comfortable it was. We called down for silverware and they never came. The sheets had a few tears in them.
The hotel bellman/concierge/general nice guy was awesome - I believe his name was William (but could be wrong)...he was fabulous. Helped us to learn the Metro system as I was traveling with my college aged daughters and we had never used it prior to visiting. He escorted us to the station across the street and told us what the best value for riding through out the weekend. He was just awesome!!! The location was good if you were not doing anything in Alexandria -- as we found very few places to eat and absolutely no shopping without using the Metro to get there. Using the Metro is the way to go!!! No car needed for the most part!!! It was a very nice hotel and would stay there again if returning to the area. Only a few businesses around for dining or nothing for shopping...would have to take Metro or walk a great distance to find anything. Otherwise was a great hotel!!!!
Great location for touring Old Town Alexandria and Washington DC due to it's prime location across from the King Street Station on the Washington Metro. Hilton Alexandria Old Town also has great hotel facilities such as a Starbucks on site as well as their own restaurant. Hilton Alexandria Old Town is situated at one end of King Street allowing for easy access to Alexandria Old Town Restaurants. Hilton Alexandria Old Town charged $35 nightly parking fee. This keeps me from giving Hilton Alexandria Old Town a higher rating.
Our package included parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi. We have stayed here probably 8 years in a row for an annual visit to Washington. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the bedding. The breakfast was a buffet and had a great variety of items. The Starbucks in the lobby is convenient. Overall we love this property and will stay there again, mainly because the Metro station is across the street from the hotel. On nearly every visit, there is a glitch with housekeeping. On this trip we returned to our room in the afternoon hot and tired, and looking forward to a cool rest. We had not received housekeeping services that day. When I spoke to a housekeeper, she told me we were listed as checked out on her sheet. We got clean towels from her and declined to have her clean the room in order to have some quiet time. We left our recyclable bottles on the desk, but they were not picked up over a period of 3 days.
Hotel staff was helpful, rooms were well appointed and comfortable, conveniently located to shopping restaurants and metro.
The trolley and metro station was across the street, breakfast was enjoyable. Hotel was a bit pricey without a walk in shower.

Location for easy access to the metro and the diversions and restaurants on King Street. My room was close to the back and ground floor. Consequently I was awakened by the early morning dumpster pickup.

Most everything I tried to order from Room Service was "no longer being made - shouldn't be on menu". Green juice, for example. They should print a daily menu and also offer healthier, less pedestrian options.

I enjoyed my stay at Kimpton Lorien Hotel and Spa in Alexandria, VA. The hotel was conveniently located in Alexandria's Old Town neighborhood and a short uber ride from DC and Arlington. The hotel had the feel of a high end boutique hotel. My room was clean and the front desk staff members were helpful and friendly. There's a spa on site I unfortunately didn't get to visit during this stay however the room service food was excellent and the breakfast across the terrace from the hotel was amazing. I'd highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the DC Metro area. It wasn't super expensive either I paid about $120 for a week night stay. I liked this hotel a lot, nothing to write her.

Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Very nice outdoor pool with plenty of lounge chairs, an outdoor bar and poolside table for eating. Parking at the hotel was perfect. Bathroom was slightly small but very clean.
Easy access to Metro, White Hose, Mall, etc. IF you are a walker. Very welcoming,professional and responsive staff. They were happy to change rooms to 2 beds when my son flew in from CA. Great catering staff and food. Clean and comfortable. A little dated and can be very expensive. My on-line rate with tax etc. was a reasonable $180. When I tried to add 1 night, they wanted $479! Needless to say, we went somewhere else.
The hotel staff was great and I liked that they had parking. The room was nice & location was great. Everything about the hotel was great. One of the reasons I liked it was because it was smoke-free however, the room smelt of smoke the last night we stayed and even again in the early morning before we checked out. Not the hotels fault, was just disappointing.

From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!
I did not like the fact I had to pay valet for parking or find my own. I feel if I m paying for the comfort of staying out of town then that is something that should be included.

Location was excellent, most staff was nice and helpful. If you wanted Wifi, you had to pay extra. Channels on the television had horrible reception 9/10 times. One bellhop was incredibly rude when I asked to use a luggage cart, that were kept in their storage room at the moment, as I had multiple heavy bags to load in my car. Parking was outrageous per day ($60). This parking fee was also not included on Kayak or Pricline.
Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.

Spacious room with super comfortable bed. No warning for the loud construction noise just outside our bed window at 6:30 am Sunday and then 5:30 Monday am. When we complained the front desk said nothing could be done.

The entire staff was very responsive and when there was no solution, e.g. no unbrellas in any of the stores, they went out of their way to exlain and help. The oopenness and high security give confidence in safety while being low key. Lots of locals enjoying your wonderful facility. The beds are too soft and are not not supportive for old people with bad backs.

Staff friendliness and helpfulness and the beautiful motel. Air in the room was kinda warm and we had it on 66, some tables in the lobby had crumbs on it and the table legs could have been wiped down better.

This hotel was amazing. We were tired and in the middle of a long trip south. The staff were helpful and accomodating. The room was quiet and comfortable. Hotel staff went out of their way to make my 92 MIL comfortable and happy. This hotel is in the greater DC metro area, you have to expect the types of charges that come with metro hotels. Parking was convenient, but expensive and there was no prior notice at booking. Had I not been accustomed to NYC and Boston, i would have been stunned and unhappy.

The price was great for a 4/5star hotel, and it was a steal since I booked it the night before checking in. Staff was great and after signing up for the free rewards program, upgraded me for free. I did not like $24 self parking/ $28 daily valet rate that was NOT disclosed in the description during booking the hotel. It was a great hotel, but since I was surprised with the parking cost, it makes me reconsider other hotels with free parking and take the hassle to call ahead for parking cost before booking.
Although at most hotels you pay up front and there are no surprises. Not the case at the hilton. You pay for everything including parking. It's rediculous. You would thing that $115 a night would at least include overnight parking but it does not. I will never stay there again. Also, by neck and back have been jacked up from their bed since the second nights stay... that was over 2 weeks ago.
The room was clean, simple, and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are pretty and well-kept. First, the garage is under construction and has very limited parking -- despite the fact that most guests would need to find alternate parking, there were NO signs indicating where the back-up garage was. When I asked the hotel staff, both in-person and on the phone, I wasn't able to get a clear answer. I was even given the wrong address and drove around in circles. Second, the staff was bordering on rude, from the front desk reception to room service. The front desk was indifferent at best and confrotational. Room service was wholly unhelpful as we tried to get a few extra plates. The attitudes all-around were churly, stand-offish, and unhelpful. Lastly, this hotel is in the middile of nowhere -- no stores or restaurants anywhere close to walking distance. Considering parking is $24/day, and you can only enter and exit the back-up garage once without being charged again, you're stuck at the hotel and at the whims of their waaaay overpriced "gift shop" and restaurant.
Our rooms in the tower were too warmdue to the temperature could not be made to be as cool as we prefer due to outdated chilled-water system. Andrew was exceptionally attentive to our needs and got us moved the Retreat buildings where we were perfectly happy. Great job to Andrew and staff for making this move happen. Paying for parking and breakfast (we were comped) is rediculous. Sorry to say these expenses will prevent us from staying at this hotel again.
Very convienet location for access to DCA. Shuttle was about 30 minutes later than expected but, driver was nice.

The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door with my 12 year old. I detest the hold hotels put on your credit card and don't release for days and was told I could pay the $50 incidental in cash (which I received back at checkout before the housekeeper had even cleaned the room). The room was indeed small with only 1 bed which would have been a problem if I hadn't been traveling with family. However, it was clean, along with the bathroom. I did whack my elbow against the wall as I was showering as the stall was a bit cramped. We received great instructions on how to make our way to the White House and monuments - - all within walking distance. We finished our running around a bit early so we took advantage of the 2nd floor lounge for about a half hour before heading back to Union Station. There was an industrial coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker, tea bags, newspapers, a big screen tv set to CNN, a charging station, computers etc. The rooms are too small for friends to convene comfortably so the lounge is a nice spot. Convenience: A block away from the Circulator, a block away from the Farragut North and Farragut West station (it is actually on top of the Farragut West station, however, the entrance is closed so it's necessary to walk to the other side a block down). The complimentary bottled water saved us some money and we surely took advantage. The shower was uncomfortably small for a tall lanky person like me. Whacking my elbow against the wall isn't something I expect to happen in a hotel (usually hotel bathrooms are more comfy than my micro bathroom at home in NYC). Also, the room did not have a mini fridge which would have been nice for our leftovers. The hotel is downtown so the area at night is sparse (still feels safe though). You'll need to take a little walk to find some good breakfast if you set out early on a weekend because the nearby places are either never open on the weekends or only open closer to 9 am.
We went to DC to celebrate my husband's birthday for a long weekend. We looked for a long time online and a lot of the offering was overpriced for the amenities available. The Club Quarters was a great find!!!! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. There is an espresso bar on the 2nd floor!! We were a few blocks from all the greatest attractions, walked to every site. Never had to take a cab or the Metro. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back. We found a gem in D.C. and will be recommending it to our family and friends.
food and service was good My husband and i were given an end corner room 302 that was way to small and gave a confined effect. We spent as much time out of the room as possible. Parking was also difficult due to lack of easy access to our vehicle asit was in an underground garrage.

It was centrally located in Old Town with access to the Trolley and other transportation as well as restaurants and shops. I was disappointed that no microwave or coffee maker was in the room, although coffee was available in the lobby.

My husband and I used this hotel for our recent vacation to DC. It was in a nice area. They had a free shuttle bus to the airport which is where you catch the metro. All in all it was pretty convenient to the city. Also very close to the King Street area in Alexandria. We enjoyed getting to explore that area at night. Nothing was included. You literally got the room and that was it. Parking for your car is $20 a day.

I love the location and the staff is outstanding It is surrounded by great restaurants and things that make traveling easier. This was an unexpected overnight stay for me, and the hotel had great amenities to save me a trip to the drugstore at midnight. I dont care for the new remodel. The homage to Williamsburg with that Kimpton twist just doesnt make sense in this mashup! Still love Kimptons-

Clean room. Separate shower with large mirror, sink and counter/storage space along with separate room containing toilet with small sink and mirror is excellent for allowing more than one person to prepare for the day and other obvious reasons as well. Both of those rooms had good fan powered ventillation. Microwave oven in room along with refrigerator that kept items cold. Close access to metrorail and freeway. Located in area that at night is quiet with very little traffic. Some enclosed parking available at ground level under building. Beds were comfortable. In room wireless internet worked excellant. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Shower head needs more water pressure. Desk/lounge area of suite was adequate but would be nice if it were more spacious. No small kitchenette with sink. This is not a biggie for me but would make an extended stay and/or food prep more accommodating. Finally, also not a biggie but would be good idea is to have adjustable volume speaker by bed farthest from television as it would allow less volume to satisfy viewer from that spot. Overall, above average room and experience.

Nice large rooms with shower and bath in separate rooms. Good hot breakfast in the morning. Accomodating staff, and free shuttle service to and pickup from the metro stop and mearby restaurants. The sliding doors to the shower and toilet areas don't latch and tend to roll open by themselves. Our thermostat did not eork eell and we alternately froze and overheated all night. The fold out couch bed is handy, but so uncomfortable my kids wouldn't sleep in it after one night. They slept in the bed with me instead.

This is a nice hotel with great amenities. The hotel is very clean and feels new. The breakfast is pretty standard continental fare but we enjoyed it for all 4 days. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators which was nice. Parking was free and plentiful. The Eisenhour metro station is a 10-15 minute walk down the street, but there is a shuttle call to take you to and from the station. We rode into the Mall everyday for about $6/person which beat the hassle and cost of parking downtown. There was an AMC next to the metro station with several resteraunts so we would eat there most nights and see a movie. Parking there is free in the evenings. Great location for us, very helpful staff, excellent stay.
Spacious rooms, comfortable bed. The shuttle service is great and very accomodating whenever we needed it. Metro station is close by. Front desk staff was very nice. Liked having coffee available in lobby 24 hours. No vending machines in the hotel and nowhere close (walking) to buy anything. They have the little market shop in the hotel with exhorbitant prices! Smokers are allowed to smoke right outside the main door....which is also where we had to wait for the shuttle. One time there were 11 people smoking. Ugh! There should be a separate smoking area around the corner.

The staff (especially in the Executive Lounge) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable, the view was fantastic, and everything seemed up to date. We somehow snagged this Hilton Honors room and the frree wi-fi through Kayak. The location is on the edge of a residential neighborhood and a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There were a couple of hairs in the shower, but nothing too shocking. Parking overnight and hourly was so expensive that we had to search for street parking. Free wifi was only available in public spaces. Some of the facilities were closed (due to winter) or accessible only by Hilton Honors.

Great location. Numerous amenities at the hotel Painfully slow check in process. The hot water in the morning ran from nonexistent to very low pressure. I understand m the water pressure is due to construction of the building next-door
Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. However, parking in the garage was VERY expensive- $43 for one night. I sucked it up and paid it. I prepaid for the room for Kayak, so it wasn't a big deal. I saw that they had put a $50 hold on my card as well. After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.
This hotel is the same every time I go excellent...I really love the little relaxation area near the escalators and bar. Upon telling the desk clerk and manager at check-in that I had honeymooned at this hotel almost 47 years ago, they expressed genuine delight and immediately offered me a complimentary service. The following morning when I needed help with the timing of a couple of things, I discovered that the word about my stay had spread and a second manager took care of me with very attentive service. It's wonderful that a large, old hotel in a big city understands the importance of making the individual guest feel special.
The price was lower because the hotel is under construction so the price was cheaper. Room was very nice, bed was soft, bathroom was nice, and location was great. The layout is arkward because of the construction.
Great accommodations perfect for Travel Show we were attending. Loved the location--convenient to many restaurants and sites of the city.

Location, excellent door men. No premium channels. Broken toilet that was "fixed" twice but I had to fix it myself a couple times. No water pressure. House keeping only left us with 1 towel. View of a brick building 6ft from my window. Bar staff were disruptive and joking loudly with doormen while people waited at the bar.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Miscommunication in the lounge regarding a wine selection, and subsequently being overcharged.
The people at the front desk, the concierges, the doormen, and the housekeeps were truly concerned about my comfort and seeing that I had the best possible time in Washington. Your concierges are extremely knowledgeable and took the time necessary to help me find stores and restaurants; making phone calls for me to get things done. My own family doesn't care for me that well! Cannot think of anything. Oh, there is one little thing, the front door to my room, number 302, sticks. I meant to inform the front desk, but it was so insignificant compared to everything else, that I forgot.
I liked everything. The room was modern, well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and spacious bath. The staff was as pleasant and helpful as any I have encountered in some time. The location is great! I ate in the restaurant once and I enjoyed my meal. I look forward to my next visit. The closet space in the room I had was limited and would probably be tight for two people. This is a very small fault in an otherwise very pleasant stay.
Very polite & accommodating There was 1 towel for 2 guests each day that required making a phone call for towels everyday. There was no blanket on the bed, just an abrasive comforter that was too hot. The room was never cool enough. We paid for a room with a view, but ended up with a room that looked at a wall.
Staff was very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable, and dark at night. At check in my wife asked about a refrigerator since she is pumping and the young lady had one sent to the room. The refrigerator was broken. We were able to make due with ice from the hall.

Location and cleanliness
The staff and service was first-rate and the location made walking easy to the various monuments and museums. Also the train station was in easy walking distance. I can honestly say that there was nothing bad about this trip...my wife and I had a wonderful time!
Location was great She didn't like the small towels. We stayed at a Courtyard Marriott in Baltimore and the had huge towels.
The hotel scheduled a wedding which lasted well into the morning hours, keeping many guests from being able to sleep, including us. There were many complaints to the switchboard, but the manager was not present, and the employees were not empowered to do much.
King Size bed and suite very comfortable. Keys worked inconsistently for garage & Club Room, and at check out, I was unable to change from the original credit card I offered, to a different one I preferred. Pillows too soft Absolutely HATED the limitation of TV channels available so paid for movies could be pushed on guest.
Room was comfortable and the amenities were great! Parking garage elevators were under construction, which meant a lot of walking from garage to lobby.
The location, the surrounding stores, the room, the balcony (cost less than $10 extra) and the balcony view, the customer service, the cleanliness...no complaints at all. We were VERY IMPRESSED and will be back when in town!

Overall the experience was pleasant, rooms are nice, front desk help is always very nice. Your shower water pressure is excellent and a big deal :). Rooms are satisfactory. Your bar area seemed a little blah. It could use a bit of a face lift. The bartender was also not bad, but slow and not engaging.

Location is ideal for seeing the museums and monuments. Lobby and restaurant staff are warm and welcoming. If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.
Room were spacious and quiet, provided it overlooks the back of the hotel. Large lounge, kitchenette and other facilities ok. Good breakfast, included in the room rate. No bath robe, no slippers, no shoe shine and a frighteningly empty fridge, i.e. no minibar in the room, bring your own. Rooms on the railway side are quite noisy.

This hotel does a wonderful free Breakfast with made to order food and a very efficient staff. The manager receptions at night are also done very well. Good location for access to Old Town Alexandria and the DC Metro. The property charges $28 per night for parking in the facility underneath the hotel. There really is no other available parking for this hotel. The parking is dangerous and has overally small spaces in between large concrete pillars. Not only are you paying too much but the parking is impossible. Too many handicapped rooms. We were assigned one when we didn't want one at all. We also were not given the bed type on our reservation. Management didn't care. We were part of a party of 13 people staying at the hotel for an event.
Arrived by train at 915AM on check in day, expecting to leave bags and check in later, what a pleasant surprise to find out a room was ready and we could move in. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was a great start to our day, and was by no means meager pastries and fruit, but eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, French toast,, oatmeal, grits, and more! The nightly managers reception with drinks, and snacks was a great touch to the end of the day. The hotels location could not be more convenient for travel, Amtrak, and D.C. Metro stations mere steps away, in addition to the The King Street free Trolley. I saw many families enjoying the Hotels amenities as well. We did not park here but the price seemed comparable or less than other area hotels, the price for our Amtrak tickets was about what it would have cost to park, without fuel costs or a stressful drive from Norfolk. Nothing fell short of our expectations, and we will likely make this trip again.
Staff did a fabulous job at the free breakfast buffet. They were efficient, friendly, and cheerful amidst a sea of families there over the July 4th weekend. 8 floors, but elevators are extremely efficient. Beautiful atrium. Very close to King Street Metro Station for easy access to DC attractions. Also right off King Street, the main drag in Old Town Alexandria. About a mile's worth of interesting shops and restaurants to walk down to get to the Potomac River. Great place to stay! TV channels somewhat limited and a bit fuzzy.

Very nice amenities and the shower was great! I booked my stay two month prior for a King Bed for one night. When I got there, they said they were sold out of King Bed's and all they had were two doubles. Not the biggest deal, but what is the point of booking a King in advance if that is not what is available? Also, our room did have a musty smell to it when we first got it. After running the air for a bit, it went away.

The room was nice until we looked out the window and found we had a great view of the roof... (sarcasm) Valet constantly begging for tips. Being from Vegas I tip almost excessively however if someone begs for it or nearly has his hand out the entire time it is not coming. It's called a gratuity for a reason. Then when delivering the vehicle no opening the trunk, and doesn't return the seat to where they found it or at least close. Not much effort in valet.
Walking to distance to good lunch and dinner choices Hotel lobby shop was typical "airport prices" for anything you'd want, making You feel like a fool if you didn't to walk across the street and buy a snack or coffee at 1/3 price.
Location Hidden charges. $58 a night to park. Nowhere did I see that when I booked the trip. $8 for a draft beer that should be $3, I get a call from security in the evening waking me up, stating that the policy is to call if the do not disturb sign is out. The do not disturb sign was out, I didn't want to be disturbed. Couldn't go back to sleep. I'm a small business owner, if I treated my customers that way, I would be out of business. I will never give that hotel a dime again.

We upgraded at check-in for an extra $50 which doubled the space. The location is excellent as it's walking distance to several sites. The fitness center is excellent and is included in the price of the room. Lack of parking requires you to valet for $56 a day. If you are somebody that needs a great view you won't find it here.

That staff was very helpful and friendly. Also, the location was great. Very close to the Capitol building. We upgraded to a buffet breakfast, which was lacking and the hot food was cold. Not a good value at $25/ person, but at a hotel, I understand the price, but if the food is cold, then it was a waste of money.
The shuttle service to both old town and the metro was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and the fitness center was adequate. I will definitely stay here again to visit both old town and DC. The only annoyance was the tv in the room. The interface was extremely slow and difficult to use. A minor problem but a definite annoyance.

Room was nice AC was cold on them hot days. Very close to DC Shuttle to Old town was big. friendly staff Shuttle bus had no AC! Breakfast was ok, coffee was empty they said they take pride in knowing it was full all the time.

It was after dark and we were returning to hotel with our children. Called for shuttle to meet us at metro stop. Was told it would be there waiting. Called again upon arrival and was told that he picked someone else up and would come back for us. Called again after waiting 20 minutes and was told that it would be 15-20 more minutes (hotel is 5 minute drive from metro) and it was MY FAULT because I called while I was on train instead of calling from the station - except I did call from the station! Waited another 10 minutes before finally calling an UBER. Being left standing in the dark for nearly an hour at an end-of-line metro stop with children is completely unacceptable!!!!
They will shuttle you to the airport or into Old Town, which was very nice.

The staff was quite friendly and accommodating also. Our beds were comfortable and the room was pretty clean,. The breakfast was okay. Full breakfast to me meant something different than it actually turned out to be. This was a continental breakfast with eggs added to the menu. Twice the shuttle left us because we weren't right there when they arrived. They told us to call when leaving the restaurant, which we did, walked over to the meeting area, and they were already leaving us behind. Apparently, their instructions are to arrive and leave with no waiting time. We were also left at the Metro because we exited on the wrong end and had to go to the other end, so this was inconvenient because then we had to wait again for them to come back.

Breakfast was probably the worst I have ever had at a Hampton Inn. Also, if you are going to have TV blasting while patrons are eating breakfast, the news seems more interesting than an old repeat of a football game.
