The hotel and our room had the most beautiful view of the mountains. It was amazing to say the least. The grounds were beautiful. This was by far the nicest of any chain hotel that I have ever stayed at. In the future, I will definitely seek out Hampton Inn's. Hopefully all others measure up to this location. This location seemed to be newer, perhaps less than 7-8 years old. It was so clean you could eat off of the floor if you wanted. It had a small indoor pool which was refreshing and a hot tub that was so hot and oh so relaxing. There is an exercise room there which I used but when someone else comes in you almost feel forced to leave because its so small, but it is adequate for sure. The breakfasts there were great. It wasn't your typical continental breakfast. Daily there was oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, breads, pastries, juices, coffee etc...It was very filling and delicious. I wished we could have stayed longer. Nicest hotel I have stayed at for sure. The hotel is right on a golf course which makes for beautiful scenery however at some points the hotel was 'overrun' with pompous golfers. other than that, I highly recommend the Blairsville Hampton Inn.

Cons: Hotel was so crowded that you could not find any 'carts' to take your luggage to your room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but did not seem to go above and beyond. That's the only bad things.

The facility is modern and I liked the furnishings. They have a great pool and hot tub that don't have ridiculously narrow hours unlike some other hotels. The pool has a little waterfall. Everyone was friendly from the maid to the shuttle drivers to the front desk people. Also the restaurant across the way is tasty.

Pros: First of all, GREAT STAFF, which can make or break a stay. For the money, our room offered a great amount of space. Beds are 4/5, pillows were very nice. Everything was nicely cleaned. Breakfast was nice. Was nice to have a room to workout in. Situated in a very nice small town. Several restaurants, bars and The Fort are all an easy walk from the hotel.

Pros: I'm not sure what all the rave reviews on here are about. We had an ok room - mold in the bathroom, paint chipping, ceiling cracked, and our room was partially blocked by part of the roof that had nasty still water sitting on it. And our view looked out over the street construction which was a pain to get around every time you left or came back to the hotel. Front desk thought the people on the phone were of higher priority than the people standing right in front of them. The woman who takes care of breakfast was great - ran a lot and always made sure things were refilled. Pool and hot tub was good for the kids, but a little too much chlorine in the hot tub as their was a lot of foam/bubbles sitting on the top. Also booked through a 3rd party, not Marriott direct, and when I questioned why we didn't have a sofa bed in our room like the room description on my confirmation email said, the front desk lady blamed it on the "3rd party booking" and that was it. Overall ok, but I would not stay here again.

I had to go to the front desk in my nightgown. Horrible!

Cons: I did not like that my room- 207 did not have heating at all !! All it had working was the air conditioner, the floor was absolutely filthy in all matter. There was blood on the sheets. When we arrived at the destination we went through three different rooms, all were in horrible condition. The girl Toshia working at the front counter was absolutely the worst ever employee I have ever encountered in my life.

Cons: The outside landscaping was very neglected, especially the side entrance but all round the whole hotel. Everywhere needed weeded, bushes needed trimming and a few flowers would have been nice. Also the TV in the room was not HD, which is hard to watch.

Pros: Check-in was fast. The person who checked us in was courteous and polite. Room was big but dated. Had a good view of the city as its located on a hill.
Cons: People were checking-in all night and it was loud. Breakfast was a joke with bread, some cereals and apple. The front desk lady was rude when inquired about breakfast timings and was very hesitant to refill milk for coffee and cereal.

Cons: It was the first time in a few years I've stayed at a hotel where smoking was allowed. I had to go through a gauntlet of construction workers sitting at the entrance smoking. They also photo copied my ID and Credit Card although I paid in advance.

Cons: There were ants in our room from day one before we even brought in any food. Also the maid service didn't really come in at all. She took out the trash but didn't get us new towels or any kind of turn down service. Which is disappointing at 81 dollars a night. The breakfast was okay. The waffle machine was broken and it was the only source of hot breakfast they had so that was disappointing. Overall it works if you are desperate because there aren't many hotels in the area but it's definitely not worth the money. So if you can find some where a little further way I suggest it.
