Pros: Lovely hosts, Kathy and Marv, who make you feel like old friends. Any B&B can be a good stay but it’s truly the hosts that make it a wonderful experience. The property is conveniently located off hwy 6 and very close to a handful of parks. The room was very comfortable and super clean and cutely decorated. The baked goods were delicious and 3 course breakfast was amazing. We will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hosts were very kind and made our stay perfect. Marv looking after the fire and Kathy's amazing breakfasts.
Cons: The weather
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very pleasant stay at the purple frog. Kathy and Marv are amazing hosts. The room was very clean, had everything we d need for a comfy stay and a comfortable big king bed. The breakfasts every morning were sooo delicious. The location was at a perfect location between lions head town and tobermory park and town. Kathy’s bakes goods for her guests were scrumptious. I couldn’t resist them each and every day. You can tell Kathy and Marv really care and take pride in hosting their guests. It surpassed all our expectations and we so look forward to coming back and staying here only when visiting tobermory. Thank you so much again Kathy and Marv and we look forward to our next stay in the near future. Keep doing what you’re doing you have a really special and memorable bnb!!! Sincerely, Shanna, Kevin, near future baby ;)
Cons: Nothing to say negative about here!

Pros: We enjoyed the weekend on Peninsula. Thank you for all the tips about points to visit, the wonderful way you both do the bed & breakfast, the tasty breakfast and all the rest, especially the Cookies. The appartement was very clean and lovely decorated, it is nice to stay here.

Pros: My fiance and I stayed at the Purple Frog for a long weekend of hiking and had an absolutely amazing time! Kathy and Marv are fantastic hosts, they made us feel so welcome and so comfortable. Kathy makes a wonderful breakfast and we enjoyed our morning conversations with her and Marv. Everything was so spectacularly clean, spacious, and comfortable and they really think of everything (hair dryer, bathroom supplies, etc.) to make you feel right at home! They really take pride in their Bed and Breakfast and it shows in everything that they do, from the beautiful breakfasts to every extra thing they offer (fresh baked snacks, assortments of teas, high quality towels and bedding, etc.). You can definitely see why they have one of the top 25 B&Bs in the country (TripAdvisor)! Kathy and Marv are very knowledgable about the area and always had recommendations for activities, dining, etc. I received emails beforehand with links of things to do and how we could go about purchasing the Grotto parking passes in advance (which is required). Thank you again Kathy and Marv, you made it very difficult to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were super nice, warm, and welcoming. Also the breakfast is superb, just like on the pictures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, the host was very courteous and helpful. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. A great bnb, I recommend highly.
Cons: It is somewhat distant from Tobermory (if that is were you will be travelling to), but it makes up for that by being lower cost than the hotels in Tobermory and the great breakfast (another source of cost savings since breakfast is included). That being said, there are things to see / do in the bnb's immediate vicinity (trails, natural sites, etc.).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality was just great, it was more than clean and the best breakfast we had in all of Canada. It was prepared with love and an eye for the smallest details. Kathy and Marv gave us a lot of suggestions what to do or to see. By far the best stay we had for a long time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kathy and Marv are amazing. They are friendly and they make us feel like home! They are always there to answer all our needs and give us some tips about what to see or what to do. The breakfast are so delicious! We also get a fabulous evening around the firecamp with them and the other guests: one of the very cool part of our stay!
Cons: Everything was perfect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place - it was completely refurbished by the new owners two years ago and it's a fantastic little place. We used it as a base to discover the Bruce peninsula, it's 15 minutes from Lion's Head, 35 min from Tobermory and located right on the water of Lake Huron. There's a little beach and kayaks and bikes for free use, and a place to cook outdoors. We loved it and Melanie was a great host! Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms was modern, bright and sparkling clean with a gorgeous view out the back. Though I didn’t have time to use them, I also loved that there were a bunch of extras included like free use of kayaks, paddle boats and bikes included in the stay. Melody was a wonderful host!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location.. it was awesome.. the only thing is u need to drive for 20 mins for food.. so plan accordingly
9.3 Excellent
Pros: On a beautiful beach. Free Use of kayaks & Canoes. Updated decor. Clean. Great bath. Sitting area and table. Quiet. Picturesque. Sliding door to deck area. BBQ and fire ring. Nice owners.
Cons: It's remote. About 20 min to closest foods which close early. No AC. Evenings didn't need but if in room during day, it could get warm --could use a fan to move air. Close quarters to other guests. Bring hangers for closet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cozy and nice room. Nice views to the lake.
Cons: It would be much better to sleep if there was air condition.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Melony was a great host and went out of here way to ensure she met us upon arrival. She also sent us an email a few days in advance suggesting we make reservations at the Grotto ahead of time which made a huge difference. The place was super clean and had a great view of the lake. Only regret was staying only 1 night.
Cons: N/A

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host and staff are friendly. Asking sight seeing question, we got the good answer. The room is clean and quiet. Very good briefest.
Cons: The Wi-Fi is week and hardly used. We won't watch TV, but really need internet.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Even so the other B&B we stayed raised the bar quite high the Lionsheart Guesthouse and B&B had only two positive things to tell of. A nice newly decorated room and a very good marketing on the internet. But as hard as I tried I could not find more.
Cons: What a desaster! Or would be the following description positive to anyone? Highly overpriced Even 30% higher price than Toronto and all others on our round trip. And that in off-season end of September. Cheap hosts A welcome with a handshake and asking for my creditcard. A room full of notes for restrictions and regulation like use warm water carefully as we heat with propane (not because of protecting the environment). Be as silent as possible in order to not disturb the other guests - soundproofing the walls and taking care of jamming doors everywere would have helped. Jamming doors - we had a late check in the room next to ours. I am pretty sure that lady tried her best to be quiet. But for us it was like there was never a wall to her room. The jacuzzy was promoted with some restrictions of use of cause - but to enter it you would need to use a stepstool and the insulation was no longer covered by the plastics around it - we better did not use it. Another example needed? Breakfast - better not call it that. A warm tray with exactly counted amount of sausages and scrambled eggs, plus a jar of juice and a jar of Joghurt per person - I would expect a buffett at this price! Unfriendly hosts He showed us the room - she screamed from above „tell them to park in the right parking spot“. He told us that breakfast is at 8:00 - offering another time he ask in a way that we better not ask for later. She came down at 9:00 and wanted to clean up - generously giving us some more time to eat „generally we finish at 9:00“ Very unpersonal environment I would descibe it as a construction place in its end phase. With a charme of a youth hostel and very spartanic breakfast area. The local information and hints on the wall were just simple cut out from newspapers and a year old information. Never again - and I hope that the very good location on the Bruce Peninsula is not a too good argument for them to avoid turning into customer oriented and pricewise correct business.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was the best we had during our 10 days vacation in Canada. Wonderful location and very welcoming and helpful host. Thank you very much
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful and well maintained, perfect place to unwind after a long day. It's walking distance of the beach and is located right off of Main street. The staff was attentive and kind, they were always there whenever we needed them. My group greatly appreciated the attention to detail, most of our questions could be answered by the notes and documents they left behind.
Cons: The B&B is located so far in back of the property, Google thinks we're going to the house in back. It was kind of awkward to show up at a family's house at night, only to realize we've made a mistake. This isn't within the property's control though, so we can't blame them for this technical error.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved having our own private entry, and close access to fully stocked kitchen, dining room. Lovely decor. Beautiful property. Hostess saved breakfast for us to enjoy at our leisure, enabling us to sleep in. Provided a lovely lunch for us upon leaving since we missed breakfast that morning.
Cons: Price maybe a little too high?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very helpful and funny. He was very sweet, concerned for us when we returned late and about to check. Room was spacious and beds good. Hot tub was wonderful. Food was fine. Lovely to have accsss to a kitchen.
Cons: No complaintd
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good but served on a hot tray ( & not hot) and owners were absent, a little personal touch would have been nice. Accom. were very nice, large room and two small chairs and table, nice bathroom, access to kitchen, fridge etc .. was great and not expected. Had our own outside entrance to room which was nice but did not let us see the owners.
Cons: No common sitting area which you have in most B&B's wood have been nice. Sheets had fabric softener in them - - horrible. Lots of people have allergies!! Again no personal touch. Paid at check-in so no contact when you left. Says pet friendly but female owner not happy about the dog. Not pleasant on the telephone or when we arrived early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner was great! Unfortunately because of work we were only there to sleep but definitely plan to come again for pleasure. A great location if interested in hiking trails.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine, not special but wholesome.
