The staff, location, rooms are clean and fresh.
It's a comfortable hotel but the rooms are very small. The bonus is there is a onsen at most Dormy Inns.
Everything from friendly and helpful service (also in English) over delicious Japanese traditional course meals (completely Vegetarian 10 course menu varying style every day if ordered in advanced) to a nice new and clean Onsen (Hot bath in- and outdoor with view into forest and waterfall!) it was a relaxing and wonderful experience.
Food is traditional, not for every westerns taste
Basically everything: location and views, food, onsen, bath on balcony, very friendly staff.
Only two transfers from hotel to railway station a day. Alternative is a regular bus line.
Super local/ nature area and it’s very quiet. Everything is vet clean and their beds are amazing ! We slept like babies and were trying to ask which bed they used (forgot to ask though)
Food was good too but some people got description / explanation or mini comments from waiter/ waitress but we didn’t. It would have been good if they could explained what the menu was etc Onsen was good but open air bath floor is a bit weird. It hurts a bit when you walk, cannot find a suitable place to take a seat (on a stone) When you stand up you can actually see people outside at cafe terrace etc
