Pros: Great people at La Vedetta, the best! love them! I will come back to Italy just to see these people, the Family and friends make for the best atmosphere and we all felt at home and it was so hard to leave, wish we had booked longer, maybe next time?

Pros: Amazing place! Claudio and his wife are making everything to make your stay perfect. Swimming pool area is beautiful, rooms are super clean and nice, you will sleep like a baby. Breakfast from Annalisa was a perfect start of the day, thank you very much for your kindness! There are three super cute dogs and 3 or 4 cats, but no smell in the rooms or in the dining area. Also they have a balsamic vinegar, you should definitely take a small tour by Claudio, also the tasting was a nice bonus:) don’t hesitate to book it!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is a beautiful villa overlooking the valley, surrounded by grape vines from which they produce Balsamic. We had a large room overlooking the pool and beyond, furnished in an antique country style. Claudio and Analise were fantastic hosts and personally provided breakfast each morning, preparing it in the communal area, which was also a great chance to chat with them. We were also lucky to meet and chat with Claudio's parents. The balsamic tour and tasting was a highlight. Thank you to them all for an awesome stay.
Cons: We had to leave!!

Pros: We have booked just two nights as we were passing through this area on the way home and it turned out to be just great. Room was clean, spacious and really nice decorated - as well as the whole place. The host were wonderful. We travel a lot and we have already seen many places and this one might be actually the best we have ever been to
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Buca is beautiful. Andra and Mauro are so welcoming. They make a lot of produce themselves including balsamic vinegar so the food was incredible. Try to arrange to eat there in the evening. Even in 35 degree heat the house stayed quite cool with hilltop breezes and ceiling fans. The pool is fabulous and has the most beautiful view. Our 14 and 11 year old boys said it was the best place they have stayed. Oliver the dog was lovely too.
Cons: Did not like leaving!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful quiet home which felt like a luxury hotel. Spectacular views
Cons: As it's a little out the way it would be nice to be able to have coffee/tea available in the afternoon. Otherwise everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was mind-blowing, the hospitality was unbeatable, the breakfast was amazing, the views were phenomenal, the room was perfect. We didn't speak any Italian but understood every conversation (no idea how but it was no issue what so ever). If you are reading this you should book now!
Cons: Having to leave.

Pros: A wonderful place to stay! Old beautifully renovated farm, lovely room, fantastic breakfast. Would love to come back there one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want the uniform blandness of a hotel, don't go here! if you want countryside, beautiful stone buildings and a couple of the warmest-hearted people on earth, GO there! Hosts Andrà and Mauro enjoy having guests and cater to them. First floor room was spacious and charming, and the bathroom first rate. Breakfasts are social as you meet your fellow travelers. They are also plentiful and include different baked goods daily. we recommend highly staying for dinner at Eight! Andrà is an artist in the kitchen and will surpass the formulaic restaurant menus any day. With information from our hostess, we walked to the next village one afternoon (Castellacio) and also went to a nearby regional park another afternoon (Parco Regionale dei Due Sassi). A memorable six days.

Pros: This place is truly impeccable. A wonderful location, facing a medieval castle, easily accessible to Modena, Bologna, Maranello, etc. Super clean, great breakfast and nearby excellent restaurants. The best thing about this place, though, is Daniele - a terrific host with attention to detail who truly cares about all his guests having a great time. His wonderful, thoughtful hospitality never fails to bring a smile. This is the first time we've ever returned to a place a second time, we look forward to coming back for a third time soon.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Amazing little town. The hotel is in a perfect location with parking. Room was comfortable with good AC.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful, very welcoming and accommodating.
Cons: Restaurant is uneven, dishes range from excellent to quite bad. The slow cooked lamb was very dry, nearly inedible- but the ricotta and chick pea dish was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Breakfast was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place and location is the most romantic. Andrea was very helpfull and guided us where to visit in the area and best way to get into the cities with a carm We so enjoyes so we added a night.
Cons: We would prefer more nature breakfast
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The location. The lift, for my husband who has mobility problems. My husband like the breakfast (he had eggs).
Cons: For the light breakfast eater there as just cake-type things and sweetened natural yoghurt - not even some decent fruit or fruit salad and no wholemeal bread. The evening meal choices were limited and, for a place that has a reputation as a restaurant with rooms, not that great. Not sure the chef had ever heard of a vegetable. Service very patchy. On our second night we realised this is because there is another dining room in the basement where the locals go to dine, segregated from us visitors in the soulless groundfloor dining room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, and even better food! We arrived late due to a flight delay and were still able to eat and the kitchen waited for our arrival. The food was absolutely outstanding, but the best part was the warm, kind and welcoming service. You were treated like family and the knowledge of the locally sourced food was impressive and authentic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A charming inn nestled in a small walled village, this was a lovely place to stay. The staff was attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a picturesque destination off the beaten tourist track, this quaint establishment fits the bill perectly!
Cons: The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Locanda del Feudo was the best surprise in our trip by Italy. We strongly recommend to stay there if you are in Modena. Castlevetro di Modena is a charming village few minutes from Modena, and Locanda del Feudo is a special gift you can give yourself. The property is beautiful, with confortable rooms, delicious breakfast and a five star restaurant managed by brothers chef Roberto and oenologist Andrea. Ask for the tasting menu and let them surprising you.
Cons: Everything was absolutely perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our second stay at Locanda del Feudo. Lovely rooms and very friendly staff in a charming town in the hills not far from modena

8.8 Excellent
Pros: - wine / balsamic tour and tasting - fantastic taster menu at dinner - location - view - staff in restaurant for dinner - spa facilities - the wine and balsamic that is produced in house
Cons: - not great value for money - rooms pretty bland and basic, with a strange layout (although they do have a great view)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's just a great property - beautiful facilities and location.
Cons: It would have been good to have a casual option for lunch - ie to not have to leave the property - at the moment the only option is the restaurant. And there can be a lot of noise from the foyer when the soundproof door to the rooms gets left open as it did one night when we stayed. But these are only minor things - overall it's great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly, super helpful staff. This b&b makes you feel as though you are a family guest, with access to the large communal kitchen, with the open fire and the homemade breakfast. An overall great experience. The Acetaia, where the owners keep the apple cider vinegar, is lovely and full of charm.
Cons: I would have loved for the accommodation building to have been richer in historical features. It is a modern addition, but decked out with all mod-cons, so definitely cannot complain!
7.5 Good
Pros: Being able to make tea or coffee anytime
Cons: The breakfast. There were jam filled croissants and cakes but no bread - not good for a diabetic!!!
Overview Reviews
Stone farmhouse from the 1800s, completely renovated with recycled materials. The resort is located in the green Regional Park of Sassi of Roccamalatina and surrounded by cherry trees. The house has been in my family for decades. I simply love it. There's all around, it's beautiful, the rocks, like the peace of mind and soon as you enter the gravel drive, even if you are just a few minutes away from civilization you'll feel like it's a real reality. Enjoy your stay. This particular apartment is part of a larger structure. It has a private entrance, one double bedroom and one single bedroom, one bathroom, one living area. Also, it has a direct access to the garden in the back of the house. It's not uncommon to see wildlife ranging from small squirrels to roe deers. If you are, you may have to go to the bushes. All through the park you can find paths to the woods where you run, bike or horseback ride. The peace and tranquility here is magic. The park surrounding the Under the stones, is well known for the rocks emerging from the ground called Sassi di Roccamalatina. The rock formation of the sea: the two slender rocks towering over the park like a giant and his queen. The town of Guiglia is only a couple minutes away. There, a few restaurants specializing in something different, will delight your palate with different and unique versions of local delicatessen.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a special treat for my boyfriend and I during our 2 weeks of hectic Italy traveling. The area is unbelievably beautiful and so is everyone involved with this farm. I feel terrible that I can't recall the names of everyone we met but they were very warm and welcoming. The owner of the farm greeted us before we even entered the gate and showed us around his beautiful place. We were offered local wine and cheese while we watched the sunset on our balcony. I had immediate regret for not staying more than one night. The breakfast in the morning was simple but perfect. I hope to be back in the summer someday soon that I may!
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Located in a peaceful nature spot, beautiful view, breakfast at the open terrace.
Cons: A bit of a stiff smell in the room. Poor WiFi in the room.

Pros: Lorella was such a pleasent host. She was so accommodating and welcoming. It was so unique to taste their homemade lambrusco and olives! Would absolutely return if I was in this area again! She reccomened a restaurant in a near by village and set up the reservation for us. It was by far the best pasta we've had so far. And such a quaint little village! Great place to stay!
Cons: The bed was a little hard but the room was beautiful!

Pros: Absolutely stunning place!

5.8 Okay
Pros: Great restaurant with excellent menu, great service. The hotel has a nice view. Excellent breakfast served at the table. Unfortunately, here the positives end.
Cons: Above all, you want to sleep in the hotel. Unfortunately, when we couldn't sleep in the room (Linda) at 3am, we were looking for the cause. The mattress had collapsed in different ways, it was impossible to lie at all. We found out that bed was destroyed, it had broken and even missing slats on the grid. To sleep, at 3:40am I slept with a sheet and blanket on the floor, and my husband spread out the folding chair that was in the room and slept on it (we agreed that he would drive the next day, so he needed more "comfort". ) Without bedding and sheets because I put it on the floor for my sleep. We took a whole picture of this atypical situation, including a damaged bed and missing slats in the grate. When we showed the pictures to the lady at the reception in the morning, she said "I ´m sorry". No compensation, discount, nothing. For about two hours of poor sleep on the ground and an uncoated extra bed to pay the full price is not serious. We do not recommend the hotel and its approach. Yes, the restaurant is worth a visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous restaurant experience! Very friendly stuff.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very big room including a private hottub. Very nice location on top of a hill with stunning views.
Cons: Noisy and in need of attention. When booking Gelso Bianco we were under the impression it would be a quiet country resort. Upon arrival we discovered it was actually a local hot spot with loud music and parties until ~12. This wasn’t the biggest noise problem though as the room itself was well sound proofed. The biggest noise causers were the restaurant downstairs with rattling dishes and talking staff until 1:30. And the AC, which was incredibly loud and didn’t work well. Especially upstairs it did nothing. And there were some other issues like broken shutters, broken light switches and a wooden area around the pool with broken planks and nails sticking out. While the stay wasn’t bad, I am not going back. And I feel Gelso Bianco does not deserve a 9+ rating. Too noisy and too many problems in need of fixing which cannot all be compensated with an exceptionally big room and a private hottub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place with nice views, fresh air, quiet. Very nice bathroom with large bathtub and ambience lighting. The internet is fast, there is a parking space. Dinner at the restaurant is excellent! Breakfast is rich and good. The service was careful. I recommend!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Gelso Bianco Country Resort is a great place to stay! The breakfast was excellent. The staff were extremly friendly. Everything was very well kept in this resort. The food in the Basilico was great. It offered everything we needed and tastet very good.
Cons: The aircondition was not working when we arrived. It was fixed the next day, but the suite still stayed pretty warm for the next days. The three suite parking spaces were often blocked by other resort guests, who did not stay at the Geslo Bianco.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great get away and brilliant breakfast and evening meal
Cons: No background music in the restaurant, the bed sheet had a smal rip as did one of the towels
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel room was clean and spacious the bed was huge and very comfortable. the restaurant was amazing, the best chateaubriand ever!! Guests have 20% off the menu and the owners wife personally made a very tasty cake for my husbands birthday
Cons: No towel change 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 2 nights (we had to get more from the public bathroom) We had to ask for more toiletries, not automatically replenished after the 1st nights. No one showed us around the room, how to operate lights, shutters hot tub and shower etc... We found out that the hot tub was broken after we asked how to operate it It was fixed for the last 15 hours of our stay. We could hear talking, laughing and general ambiance noise from the restaurant on the 1st night as the suite is right on top of the restaurant floor, second night the restaurant was not busy and it was evidently quiter
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. Special thanks to the amazing Maria who didn't spare any effort in making our stay pleasant. The setting is beautiful: The property is nestled on a hill surrounded by endless fields of green. The views from the rooms and the garden are so pretty. The location is nice if you're looking to stay away from the bustling cities of Emilia Romagna, but still a short drive away from them, some 40 minutes. The facilities are new, clean and well designed. Breakfast was good with a variety of fresh fruit, berries, breads, yogurt and coffee. Overall, very recommended if you wish to visit this fabulous region of Italy, but looking for a more peaceful and quiet accommodation.
Cons: The swimming pool was not clean and could not be used. Dead bugs were floating all over it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big swimming pool. Overall good maintained area recreational area. Friendly staff.
Cons: Indoor swimming pool closed in summer. A few days full of children and teenagers from outside the resort. Quite noisy in the evening with music from the bar. Noisy refrigerator in the room. Bed is nice quite low. Nice big bath, but difficult to handle the water taps. You need a bit of strength to handle. Reserved parking space for suites many times occupied by cars from external visitors. Not allowed to eat or drink your own food or drinks in the room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent pool. Food for dinner was of a high standard and good value for money.
Cons: Need a little more choice at breakfast

7.5 Good
Pros: Great dinner
Cons: No air condition although advertised and extremely hot attic room
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice view / good location, good value for money
Cons: Breakfast could be much better / richer (vegetables, real bread missing) - a little bit “low cost” feeling if I compare with other “agriturismo” places in Italy

Pros: Everything was excellent
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is wonderful with views over rolling hills. Situated just on the outskirts of Castelvetro di Modena, this is a peaceful gem of a location. Onsite restuarant adds to the tranquility, you don't need to drive to go out to dinner. Try the Tortelloni, excellent. If you can, buy some of the Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale rom the area, you won't regret it.
Cons: Perhaps the ability to buy some wine to drink beofre the restaurant opens for dinner. We arrived just before 5pm but had to wait until 7.30pm to get a galss of wine. Otherwise very much worth a visit
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner is a very interesting and funny man, an ex waterpolo player. The house is beautiful, the breakfast is very good, the bed and the wifi is almost perfect. There is a restaurant also and it is worth to try it. Although we spent there only one night, so our experiencies can not be widely, but it is a very kind b&b.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place was really cute, and we really enjoyed our stay. It is located near a especially nice little town/village, and is quite easy to find if travelling by car/bike. Our room was spacious and although the aircondition didn't work during our stay, you could open windows on two sides of the building to get the air flowing through the whole room. The breakfast is typical to the region, many different cakes to choose from, fruit and some basic bread and coffee. Nothing really special but you wont leave hungry.
Cons: The staff speaks very limited english, which means you can manage quite well if there are no problems to solve but small things seem difficult to sort out when you don't understand eachother.

Pros: Is all perfect location staff room bathroom restaurant... Thanks for this weekend.

Pros: Absolute gem or a diamond as name of the place suggests! Great staff, great rooms, great facilities, great views, super comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and excellent breakfast! Located in amazing area of hills with fantastic views even during breakfast. Would absolutely recommend! Even got good tip about events happening in the area of Modena from the Host. Thank You Podere Diamante for an excellent stay!
Cons: Can't say a bad word!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am satisfied with my choice: nice place, friendly staff and owner. What really exceeded my expectations was the breakfast: home made jam and crostata were delicious.

Cons: no water or kettle in the room
6.8 Good
Pros: Good price for the fair period. We liked the Spa Center a lot, and the personnel - very kind and helpful.
Cons: My colleague and I stayed in an apartment and it was really uncomfortable. It was situated on the ground floor, with the door straight to the exit. It was also the case of another colleague, whose door was facing the hotel entrance - so you had to keep the curtains pulled all the time to get some privacy. We were accommodated in late September, just when autumn was installing so the room was pretty cold (the exit door making it worse). We received an extra blanket, but it was unpleasant - a fleece blanket. Would have preferred a duvet. The apartment had an extensible sofa in one room, that was really uncomfortable and not at all 4 starred - pics attached. Two colleagues stayed in the hotel rooms, and described them as worthing the 4 stars rating. But the apartments definitely don't. Also, the breakfast was the same every day.

Pros: The room was really clean and the bed was confortable. The view from the window is spectacular! The reception was really nice. Despiite we dont speak Italian, they did an effort using Google translator to help us. When we were leaving, a guy who speaks portuguese gave us a lot of tips. The capuccino and The brioche were fantastic!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This place had a wonderful view of the valley. The view was breathtaking and topped any expectation. The room also had a good view
Cons: The music playing on the terrace was a touch too loud for my liking. We had come a long way to be in the middle of this remote paradise and we would have loved just to enjoy the sound of nature rather than heavy metal.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view from window. Nice service staff. Comfortable bed. Despite staff didn't know english, they did their best by using Google Translate ;)
Cons: Super tiny shower cabin. Only for slim people. Menu in restaurant only in italian.
