With a stay at Imperial River Co. in Maupin, you'll be 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Maupin City Park and 8.4 mi (13.5 km) from Sherars Falls. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Casual environment. Sits right on the river. Has all the feeling of being in a lodge with friends. Very large extended patio for eating, drinking, or hanging out that over looks the river. Can sit back and relax to views of running water. Quite peaceful but fun. It was largely a male fishing crowd when I stayed but there are fun things for kids to do on site. They own a large chunk of river front property with stuff to do for people of all ages (though maybe not best for little kids).
Cons: No TV. No Internet. No mobile phone service. Food and bar service stop at 9 on weekdays, so arrive early or pack your own.
Pros: The staff are super friendly and helpful. Being right on the deschutes river was very relaxing and peaceful.
Cons: The floor upstairs was very quiet but the walls not so much.
When you stay at The Oasis on the Deschutes in Maupin, you'll be 7 minutes by foot from Maupin City Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location.
Cons: The cabins have not been updated since the 1930's.
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Beds had no headboard and weren't stable. Bathroom wasnt deep cleaned. Restaurant needed a major cleaning. From the napkin holders to the walls.... coated with smudges, splashes and grime. Pancakes made with water and mix. They were huge but had zero flavor.
Pros: Loved all of it
Cons: Beautiful and peaceful great place for a mom and dad to get away
Pros: Great cabins great coffee great little diner excellent breakfast and lunch five star for sure we'll be making booking again great place to stay in Maupin
Pros: Rustic cabin located in the perfect spot to launch your Deschutes river adventure. Went during the offseason, so it was pretty quiet. Clean room, reasonably priced. I went for a fly fishing trip, and based on the decor, can only assume that most people do the same. If you like to fly fish, you'll be at home at this spot.
Cons: My only "complaint" is that I didn't get to try their cafe, since it's closed during the off-season. Totally understand why, and knew this going in. I'll just have to come back when they are open.
Pros: Owners were amazing! I highly recommend this place for people in the summer!
Pros: I love being near the Deschutes River
Cons: The staff was never seen. We arrived at 3pm on Tues and left at 4am Wed. The office and cafe were closed throughout. We were supposed to pay them, but never found anyone. Our room was a tuff shed. The community bathroom was virtually unusable and had no lock if you tried.
Cons: Disgusting. Nasty. Smelly. Dirty. This Motel does not care about their rooms. The outside of the "cabins" are not lit at night and you can't see where the hell your cabin is, unless you have a flashlight. My room had not been turned since the last guest that was obvious. Toilet was dirty. Shower hadn't been cleaned. One of the two beds still had soiled sheets that have not been changed since the last guest and the pillowcases were dirty. Used soap was in the bathroom sink. Used coffee grounds were still in the coffee maker. Cobwebs. I can go on but this is about as much time as I'm willing to spend on this review. Trust me you'd be better off sleeping in your car.
Pros: Bed was clean and firm.
Cons: The room had no toilet nor shower!
