10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am a resident of Kazakhstan... and I was traveling around Europe for the past 3 years. This is one of the best experience in hostels I’ve ever had!!! Really new, comfy and safe area! Everything is close by. What I really liked is that the hostel is small - just 4 rooms with bed which makes it really safe. You can use kitchen facilities, you’ll have your own keys for entrance, for wardrobes.. otherwise, definitely stay there for a comfy and safe experience !
Cons: the only negative thing I can say is that you can hear everything which happens outside of your room... can’t really sleep over 9am

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved our hostess, Aigerim, she was so wonderful and welcome. The best customer service we have ever received. I was sad that we didnt get to let her know how wonderful she truly was. She is the Ritz-Carlton in Astana. Without her, that hotel would have been just another place to stay.
Cons: The only thing I didnt like was that our breakfast was different from what we requested. It would have been nice to have been notified that it wouldn't be what we expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's like different planet in the middle of Nur Sultan. Just enjoyed it.
Cons: Brunch price was shown without VAT. Since I never seen this kind of tricks in KZ, was a bit surprised when bill was 10% bigger then expected.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Ritz-Carlton Astana. Room is beautiful, staff are amazing and very attentive, hotel location is excellent and great spa facilities.

Pros: Everything was amazing and super luxurious for my wife and I... The hotel staff were very helpful with everything, the restaurant and bar staff were so kind to us (especially our waitress Bakhyt Yerlan and our bartender Didar Alimgazhinov who were the absolute best!)... I would definitely stay there again!
Cons: The hot water in the sinks and bath tub was coming out brown and a couple of times there were water leaks that filled up the whole bathroom while we were showering... The hotel staff were very apologetic and told us that there was a plumbing problem with the whole hotel and they ended up paying for our breakfast... To tell you the truth, It was hard to be mad after receiving such great service!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: People, services, options, food, everything were amazing except for the bed mattresses
Cons: Mattresses are way too soft

5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good. New hotel, everything is clean.
Cons: Check in time strictly at 14:00, if you arrived earlier need to pay half day. I arrived at 12:00 and for 2 hours was asked to pay. If I knew this, I wouldn’t book this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to the EXPO center and also to the airport. Friendly staff. I was amazed by the food and service during the breakfast. Ideal place for the business stay and relax at the same time.
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to expo and airport, there is shopping center 100m away. far away from city center, but local taxi costs are in the range of 5-10€. Swimming pool / spa very nice
Cons: Restaurant overpriced and simply not tasty, better avoid it. Becarefully with content of mini bar, in my case one of china beer was expired (2months!!). One of elevetor was not in operation for almost whole week.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. New Hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: Quality of the rooms and its view, the cleaning, the Spa services, the staff from the bar and the breakfast service were really helpful and nice.
Cons: Our first issue happened when we were asking about the buses, and in a certain moment, a member of the front desk, told us it was not their responsibility. My eyes got big.I tried to forget this moment. On the next day, I made plans to have dinner at their restaurant, Cloud 9, and since I pretended to use the Spa before, I confirmed with the Front Desk that the Kitchen would only close at 11pm. We arrived at the restaurant around 10h30pm, we said we wanted to have dinner, and the waitress lead us to a table in the middle of the room. Since the restaurant was not very crowded, we kindly asked if we could sit in a table near the window, and he said there was no problem, and told us he would get the menus. While we were still having our sits, the waitress came back and asked us if we would want to have dinner, which surprised us, but we replied yes. He explained that the kitchen closes at 10h30pm, and therefore he could only serve drinks. We explained that we confirmed with the Front Desk that kitchen only closes at 11pm, and he acted like that information was wrong. That whole situation made us feel uncomfortable and also not welcome. At the check-out I was expecting the lady would ask us if everything was ok or if we - at least - had appreciated our stay. No. She only told us we still had to pay a part of the bill... Her explanations about the values were very confusing and we decided to pay it and check it on the bill later. Unfortunately I had a problem with my card and it didn't work and she said: "it says you don't have money on your bank account" in a way that sounded very rude to us, specially because the bank account had more than enough money. We used another card and finally left the hotel and after checking the bill we noticed that it was wrong because we were charged for one extra day of breakfast. At least that part was quickly solved through e-mail. This all happened in a small stay of 3 nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed is very comfy
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is very comfortable and clean , the staff were so helpful
Cons: The location is a bit far from the city , although , you have a big mall beside the hotel you still feel that you isolated. Also the room service menue is very limited
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. FX dest would be nice to have
Cons: All excellent , but given hotel had low occupancy , it was pity to get a room without the view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, very comfortable location, parking is big and free for people who stay! We got our two rooms upgraded to a big one with amazing view and our celebration went even better then expected. Very nice staff, especially GR(I don’t remember if it was Asel or Asem, who booked us-lovely!). We asked for some flute-glasses and they brought them immediately. Advise to use spa facilities and the pool, which is warm and not too deep or big(had this problem in hotels, too « gym »-wised usually, but not here). Thank you for an amazing stay!
Cons: We wanted to have breakfast in the miracle but felt too shy because of lack of information about it! But more our fault that we didn’t ask!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: All staff were really supportive and very kind

Pros: There were other travellers In kitchen to hangout with
Cons: The lady who did not speak English was talking to my friend who was also local and it took her long time to explain how to reach to the hostel we have to walk for 25 minutes and Wrong ways four times. I was carrying heavy bags and then every time she gave it wrong way to enter even if you speak in local language with a local lady who was my friend . I'm up the private room but there was no information that the toilets will be outside the private room and would not be attached. it was really late. I found no place to exchange the money and when I offer to pay by card she rejected and then I have to borrow money from my friend. Pros: It was clean and well organized,15 min walking from city center - I really recommend!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Here's the 444th review for Hostel Nomad 4x4 with a 8.8 score :) The staff is serious and professional. So far the least problematic and most optimal staff i dealt with in KZK. Depending on who's local staff is in duty, one can speak german, another french, all have some english. It's clean, has wifi, hot water for shower, lockers, kitchen. Considering Nur-Sultan/Astana being less busy than Almaty, I have still met a very diverse set of travellers there.
Cons: Be careful to use the 2GIS app, not the Mapsme app (2 Gis is more accurate because of some closed roads). Always carry your passport with you (during the night, police routine rides may ask you for identification).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hostel experiences I’ve ever had. The facilities are well designed, clean and comfortable. The rooms are quite spacious. The hostess Aygul Opa is very friendly, hospitable and helpful (special thanks! :)). Overall, very warm and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Cons: You need to walk around 8-10min to the nearest bus station. Might be too picky though :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady, who owns the hotel is always there to help and talk. This is a small family hotel with a nice modern decor. The rooms are super clean and quiet. The position of the hotel is very good, as you can walk to many attractions and then, if you are tired and far, you can take the bus as the bus stop's also nearby. Although it is close to the main road, this is a quiet location. The breakfast is a typical Kazakh style, so do not expect a buffet. But if you prefer something you would like to have, get it organised at the evening, the owner is very dedicated to her clients. We wish this place, all the best!
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and affordable room .
Cons: - Breakfast has to be at 9am. The owner cooks for u some eggs and sausage, bread and some cookies. - NO ENGLISH at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great Customer Service! Thank you for making my parents feel special.
Cons: It would be great if hotel was taking online payments to avoid the hustle. However, they handled the situation very professionally.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Small, confortable hotel that has everything you need - in fact, we enjoyed our first stay so we came back again. Big, confortable bed, clean place, no problems with hot water. Good breakfast (fried eggs with sausage or porridge, bread and butter or cheese, biscuits, a salty pastry and tea or coffee), and you can have tea or coffee anytime in the breakfast room. Rooms have mosquito nets, fridge, a jug of water, tv with many international channels (mostly Russian) and our second room had a kettle. The staff is really welcoming and helpful, they really try to meet every need, and some speak some English. There's a minimarket around the corner and a bus stop just in front of the hotel.
Cons: Nothing really
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very kind and helpful. It made the stay very enjoyable. The place was clean, and it was in a good location to visit some of the main sights and also has a mini market near by ! The breakfast was also good! Just ask reception for the air conditioning remote control.
Cons: It was all good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is great! and the price is so reasonable! the location is great, only 15 mins walk to Highvill and the mosque. it is right beside the American Embassy. It is a family run hotel, the mom and daughter (I assume) are so nice and will facilitate you. the rooms are clean and very cozy.
Cons: in some rooms the wifi signal is quite weak.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: There is a Bus Stop, "Akyrtas", across the road when arriving from the new Train Station (Nurly Zhol) (No 14 Bus from the Train Station), and a No 40 Bus takes you into the centre of the city. The owner was helpful and the hotel was absolutely clean and quiet. Breakfast would benefit by some toast and jam to add variety. Tea and coffee available 24/7. The hotel is at one end of the axis of parks and buildings that form the tourist sights - the Pyramid, Column, Mosque, etc. A No 40 Bus takes you to the other side of the river to see the other buildings.
Cons: I have no negative remarks to make about this Hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff is great
Cons: insulation is weak
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. Welcoming staff, clean room, nice filling breakfast. Maya and Aiman the receptionists were really helpful organising taxis, ect. I would definitely return if I visit Nur-Sultan again.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel are kind and helpful and always there if you need help. We don’t speak Russian or Kazakh but we all managed to communicate really well. Our room was comfortable and very clean. It had a fridge and cable tv. Breakfast was good and you could get a hot drink at any time of the day in the breakfast room. The location is good for visiting the National Museum and the attractions near there but you need a taxi/Uber or a big walk for other places. We ordered food in one night and they had no problem finding the place.

Cons: I thought I would get a view of BAYTEREK TOWER or KHAN SHATYR but I didn't get any of them. If you hope for the view of those two. Then stay away. Or else if you want the view of the city then go for it. AIR CONDITIONER wasn't there and it was hot AF.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: We slept in the double room, which was big and clean, bed was comfortable. The hostel is like an flat so you feel at home, right in the center of Almaty in a small residential area (the London of Astana!). Kitchen has everything, bathrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly, they can arrange everything for you. Taxi from there to old train station takes 15 minutes, 1000 tenge (2,5 €).
Cons: The door of the double room is half transparent glass, so you can see the light through the door and the light stay on all night long. Moreover, people in the hostel were noisy in the kitchen very late in the night so it was hard to sleep until midnight.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding location; friendly staff, free laundry service, good value
Cons: Limited English is spoken by the staff but they try very hard to communicate.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is the best, so close to Baiterek Tower. WiFi was also very good and consistent. Staff always very friendly and pleasant. They washed and Ironed my partners blouse free of charge. Big room in old fashioned style. in the whole on arrival room was clean
Cons: Breakfast was a very strange experience. You need to choose from 4 menus the night before. On one menu it said "English Sandwich", as I have never heard of an English Sandwich, I had to try. Apparently 2 slices of cold toast filled with smoked sausage, cucumber, tomato and mayonnaise......terrible. Room was not cleaned well for 2nd day. and also no hot water for several hours
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Like family oriented hotel ....safe and secure
Cons: Nothing....everything good

Pros: Large and clean rooms, great shower with amenities, free laundry service, nice breakfast, great location.
Cons: No windows in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: + Very clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms with many helpful amenities and facilities (everyday tea and coffee, room service, free laundry, quick Wifi, welcome-chocolate), comfortable beds, pleasant shower + Extremely helpful, courteous and solicitous English-speaking personnel, that tries to fulfill every wish of the guest (e.g. they gave us helpful support against a fraudulent taxi driver from the airport [I strongly recommend to inform the hotel before your arrival and ask them to arrange a pick-up from airport] and they allowed us to store our luggage twice, while we very heading for two nights to Semey and Karaganda) + The hotel has certainly the best location of whole Astana (or now: Nur-Sultan): On the right, there's the Presidential Palace, on the left is the Bajterek Tower and in front are the singing fountains.
Cons: - Really nothing, everything's perfect in this hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is the best possible, in the very centre of Astana/Nur-Sultan, next to Baiterek Tower. The room I had was spacious and comfortable. The staff are excellent, very friendly. I arrived earlier than the check-in hour, but as the room was available, I could take it within 15 minutes. This early check-in was given without additional charge. There are four options for breakfast, personally I did not like the sausages very much, but omelette and porridge were very good.
Cons: Coffee for breakfast could be better, but that's perhaps because Kazakhstan is a tea drinking country.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel in the heart of the new city, very close to Bayterek Tower, nice staff, large, bright and comfortable room with all you need, good WIFI, breakfast okay, but without much variety

8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a brand new hotel, so everything is new and fresh, very cosy and nice, breakfast is nice, included things I prefer - brewed coffee, porridge, fresh bread, cheese, vegetables and fruits.
Cons: I would recommend its reception to be not that pushy regarding card payment procedures - I wanted to pay right away for my stay and breakfast, but the receptionist insisted that I would rather pay at the checkout, because they thought I might change my mind and wouldn't have breakfast in the morning, so they don't do the return (I don't see the problem with that though), but I tried to explain that in the morning I might be in a hurry and I wouldn't like spend time on payment procedures and would like my documents be ready, finally we came into consensus that they would put on hold the payment amount and if I have breakfast, they will withdraw, so I guess it was both convenient for them and me. :)

Pros: Everything except the staff trying to charge me the change in currency rate even though my booking was made in national currency.
Cons: The only thing that spoiled the stay is the fact that the staff tried to charge me the currency rate difference. I had to explain them that once the room is booked in national currency the amount of payment could not be changed. Be careful and check the rate at you booking profile before paying.

Pros: Loved the hotel and staff were very helpful. .
Cons: Maybe, breakfast could have a little more variety on the fresh fruit and yoghurt
9.2 Excellent
Pros: breakfast average, location very good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Location will seem far at first but after you walk around its very good - Astana is a nice and safe city to walk anytime. but it was really hot in the summer like sunburn level - City is expensive in comparison to other places in Kazakhstan. - If you going for tourism go to Almaty, but dont miss Astana if you have extra time. - Many Halal restaurants & Shisha cafes near hotel - Use the Taxi App (Yandes Taxi) very cheap to compare with normal taxi and no need to speak Russian to give directions. It will take you there quicker without having to say a single word! - Best shopping mall is Mega Mall near Expo. Its huge and very nice.
Cons: - No Arabic or English Channels - Toilets consumables & Freebies are very limited and only available by request ( Even if its a toothbrush!) - At least install Youtube on your smart TV ( same like other Hiltons) to make sure customer can enjoy something in the room even if his language is not available it will make them feel home. - Breakfast was basic but fine

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly and every thing in the hotel perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service and swiftness in everything. Also, I liked this hotel as it provided netflix, many asian tv channels and cheap in-room snacks.
Cons: The hotel's revolving restaurant was always closed whenever I wanted to go!
6.3 Good
Cons: The bed was not comfortable
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location. Friendly staff.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good beds. Friendly restaurant staff.
Cons: Hotel should be called Soluxe Hotel inside the Beijing Palace, as it is just a few floors within the Beijing Palace. The hotel lobby, with few seating, has only little flair, with great LED screens repeating a constant commercial of the business. No cafes exist, but a tea house in which floor to ceiling packages of tea are stored in a warehouse fashion, served on run down sofas. The Door Lock system did not work at check-in, I was issued a key, noting that the matter still was not resolved at check-out five days later, I assume this issue will continue. The Chinese Restaurant has closed down, only a brightly illuminated lobby restaurant (simple coffees and teas were not available as only a full business lunch could be booked) is available downstairs and a revolving restaurant on the 23rd floor with selective opening times, although offering great views of the city, with good Chinese breakfast (avoid the coffee) and all through out friendly staff. Rooms are larger than expected, but bland and functional. And try to avoid days when weddings are celebrated there - gets pretty loud,- also when staff is barking at each other before guests (often experienced). All in all - better upmarket hotel choices are available in Astana and I will definitely not check in here again.
7.9 Good
Pros: the room was quite big, also the bath room very comfortable
Cons: The bed was too hard, not comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and convenient! Excellent room with a large desk, comfy bed, well functioning wi-fi, good bathroom = all the comfort you need. The complimentary water bottles in the room was a nice gesture. I also very much appreciated the room service: all the food I tried was very good. The gym and swimming pool was excellent, and I enjoyed going for a workout!
Cons: Actually I liked almost everything! The only thing is that it was quite difficult to communicate with staff at the hotel because they didn't speak much English. For example when I wanted to book a massage, the staff at the spa only spoke Russian. But we managed to get along as they called a colleague who translated via the phone :)
7.1 Good
Pros: Spacious room
Cons: Breakfast was not 5 star. Airport pickup did not work out as planned (they offered free dinner to compensate).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly and helpful staff, good panoramic restaurant, comfortable well equipped room
Cons: The fridge was a bit too noisy
