Very helpful personal. Friendly and welcoming..
The host was very responsive on whatsapp. Any question was quickly answered. The room was spacious and a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was the usual for Morocco, but it was easy to specify the time that worked best for you. The host was ready to offer tea or a snack though we spent most of our time out in the desert just enjoying the outdoors. It was a great price in a good spot to just do your own thing and enjoy the desert
It was assumed upon arrival that we were going on a tour with them for a separate charge. We did end up going on a tour with them and it was a good budget tour , but it was confusing to book a room and have them talk about you staying in tents.
Youssef and Mohamed were very helpful in preparing us for the trip, and in all arrangements. We have communicated via WhatsApp and the answers were always prompt, polite and on point. The trip to and from the bivouac are priced separately and are not included in the booking.com price. The parking for our car in Merzouga was easy to find and was safe. On the way from Merzouga to the Bivouac we chose to take camels, it takes about 1,5 hours through the desert. On the way back we took a 4x4, it takes about 15 minutes. Both trips vere super fun and relaxing and all of us loved them. The camp hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful and hospitable. In the evening the camp hosts lit a campfire which was kept up throughout the whole evening. The hosts did an excellent performance of local music with drums, percussions and singing. The dinner was excellent and plentiful. We were offered Moroccan tea ("whiskey"). At the camp there is a toilet with running water and a shower facility. All our expectations of a desert tent camping were exceeded. Thank you very much for a once in a lifetime experience!
We loved everything!
Really good choice!! We were in Merzouga for 2 nights and we wanted to spend one in the dessert. Mohamed an Youssef are really good hosts!! They offered us staying in town the first night (very very cheap) and spending the second one in the dessert. Incredible organization!! Breakfast in the house was incredible!! And the trip to the dessert... NO WORDS!! We went with camels, watched the sunset in the dunes with an incredible guide Hassan, super cool!! Dinner in the dessert camp was AMAZING! Huge and delicious! The breakfast was incredible too! And then they brought us back to town by jeep, so nice!! We've been really happy here!! Don't hesitate at all! Really good choice!
The bed a little bit too stiff.
Great host! Mohammed did a brilliant job in planning & managing our tours in Merzouga. All the time he was very helpful and made our stay a nice memory to look back to. On top: he became a close friend to our little boy :)
