Beautiful and comfortable.
The beds are incredible and adorable bathroom! Great food for extremely cheap prices Parking
It was very clean and fresh & nice I didn't like the hold they put on your money even after you already paid
Very nicely appointed. Great decor. Nice rooms. Comfy beds. Great service. Very modern and comfortable. Would have liked to see a more spacious room or more amenities (like a mini fridge or microwave) for the cost (we got the basic room). No free parking.
The room was very comfortable. Great mattress. Stylish decor. The shower is a little odd because it is between the toilet and the bed with close on both sides, meaning you can look from the bed at the person using the toilet. The bottom floor was a club, and you could hear the noise in the room. Also, you have to pay for valet parking because all the surrounding streets do not allow overnight parking.
Clean and comfortable. Great coffee at the coffee shop. Upscale dining was yummy, esp the homemade ice cream! The staff goes above and beyond to help out, even shuttled me to a local restaurant and came back for me. I would not stay any other place!
The room was very clean and comfortable and I loed the big shower. liked everything.
Loved the look and feel of the place. The staff were all very professional sands courteous. The room was incredibly spacious with nice touches as far as decor goes that I really appreciated. No fridge in the room we booked. No bigs, but just a little setback.
Hidden gem in a historic downtown working had to comeback. New local seen is catching on since our last stay at the Padre a couple of years ago. Several cool night spots and bars with a hip music scene within walking distance (Sandrini's and the Alley Cat, very fun!)
Staff overcharged my credit card. Inept employees at counter.
Nice rooms. Good food. I stayed there two nights and they didn't clean my room while I was there.
The room, bar, restaurant, lication
Next door to buck Owens crystal palace. Dirty old rooms.
All was well
Location was good for what I needed. For the price I knew it wasn't going to be amazing but it was disappointing. Mini fridge did not work, room was poorly maintained, needs updating.
Location was good the people were great! The extreme noise! After calling front desk still noise! The room was not clean mold in the bath . Smelled like cigarettes we were in a non smoking wing of hotel. I booked into Chrystal Palace and res was for Palm Garden Inn?
Good value, nice facilities, clean and a helpful, professional staff. None
Very helpful and nice. Big room!
Very clean, friendly staff, free breakfast! ! A bit dated but comfortable
The room was wonderful, accommodated everyone. The staff was helpful, even as we came in late and the breakfast was the best we experienced on our 6 day trip.
Everything was wonderful. Not enough time to spend.
Everything was perfect
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
The hotel was located in a perfect location. I was close to everything I wanted to be near. The pool and other facilities was the best. The room was also very cozy.
IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO CALIFORNIA FOR MY WIFE AND I ,WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE HOTEL .HOW SPOTLESS EVERYTHING WAS.THE MEN IN THE CONCEIER DESK CHRIS,AND NINO WHERE VERY HELPFUL.THE BUFFET BREAKFEAST WAS THE BEST.
Staff was ecellent Parking a little too expensive
The staff was great. It was right in the middle of Hollywood, nice and clean. Loved the shopping connected to it.
Full service, location. I booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room with view of Hollywood sign. I received a room near the elevators with a constant machine and elevator running noise. I asked to be moved and was told someone would be right up and after 10 minutes I grew tired of waiting and went down to the front desk. This was already 11PM. I was taken to a new room that had an adjoining door with a party going on in the adjacent room. I asked to be moved AGAIN, eventually to a room with queen bed. The beds were too soft for my taste. There was a curly hair on the soap dish in the shower. I will never stay there again.
Hotel was beautiful! Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was fantastic! Our room had a phenomenal view of the Hollywood sign. Pool was gorgeous. All in all, it was the best experience we could have hoped for on our first trip to Tinseltown.
The mattresses were too old and lacked firmness.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we were treated with such surprising care. The man at valet, Ever (that's his name- EVER, how cute is that?) was so nice that my fiancée and I looked at each other and just shook our heads and laughed. We weren't used to customer service like this. We went to check in early, 1pm, and Melanie at the front desk was able to upgrade us to a corner suite! The entire staff was so professional but without being too stuffy. The hotel was beyond our expectations. Not a big deal but there was one little Q-tip outside our room for our stay. We kind of joked that they gave us the Q-tip suite. We also couldn't find coffee in the morning inside the hotel. We had our coffee maker in the room but needed more and didn't want to pay $15 for a pot of coffee at the restaurant.
The staff was amazing!! So helpful! The rooms were very comfortable!! The beds were great!! We had a room with a view, and it was fantastic. The one big thing that I didn't like was, that there was no fridge in the room. We asked for one and got one for a small charge. The other only thing I didn't like was, that there was no microwave in the room.
Loved the location of this hotel. Service was great as well!
The staff were very friendly, and helpful when I checked in. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The mini-bar key didn't work, and it would've been nice to have a fridge to keep some drinks in the fridge, but I didn't inquire with the staff, and I assume they would've rectified that for me if I had. Nice and central, so traveling for business doesn't mean limited options for food and amenities.
The best continental breakfast I've ever had. Friendly staff, clean rooms, 24 hour security in the parking lot. Not applicable
Good price for the room the night my daughter and I stayed there. Clean and comfortable, nice decor. Breakfast was good and available till 10 am. Coffee, teA, hot chocolate were available at all hours in the lobby. Easy access from the 99. Of all the hotels I stayed in while in Bakersfield, this was definitely the nicest. No complaints. Nice toiletries too (Neutrogena), not scary stuff from Malaysia or China. If I was going to nitpick, I'd say the scrambled eggs weren't as good as ones I had had at a Quality Inn but really there was nothing to complain about with this hotel. I was a little surprised that their room rates went up $40/night from a Monday night to Wed night (when I returned to Bakersfield) , but perhaps there was a convention or something in town because I noticed a few other 3 star hotels were either sold out or had higher rates as well
The bed My phone wouldn't get reception so I had to call my wife from the hotel phone. called a couple times, didn't really talk that long, ended up paying 40 bucks for the calls, and they were in state. They locked me out of the room to get me to come down there and pay, I didn't realize it, so I asked the maid for help, she radioed the front desk and said in Spanish (I look white, but speak Spanish fluently) "the fat man in room 207 is locked out" won't go back again
The facility was clean, comfortable, and the staff attentive. The breakfast, which was $10. was custom cooked with good variety and served to our pleasant table. I was very pleased with every aspect of this Hilton Garden Inn.
It was a peaceful stay. The staff were welcoming and fast check in and out. The bed was uncomfortable and it was not king size as I had requested.
Nice place overall. Told me I had to pay for breakfast after saying it was included at booking.
dirty bathroom, found bugs in the bedroom, sticky carpet
Very comfortable, quiet room. High quality beds. It would be nice to have free continental breakfast included with option to pay for full buffet.
Everything was great. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The receptionist was really friendly. The cleaning crew tried to come in at like 7:00 am, I'm on vacation, let me sleep.
Quite, convenient location. Staff was friendly. Water pressure in room was low. Tables in dinning area not bussed.
Very comfortable clean quiet hotel Nothing
Friendly staff. The bed was not great.
The pool & hot tub! Also the beds were very comfortable. The staff was also extremely helpful.
Love the remodel No vending machines on the floor
Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities were nicely appointed. Parking was a breeze. None
Everything you need in one place... Very happy with our stay. Wish there were room safes...
The location was in close proximity to my event. Very noisy the shower had mold overall would never stay again..
I like the good quality furnishings an finishes in the rooms. It's cerrainly more comfortable than your average hotel. The staff offered me a complimentary microwave and fridge sent up to my room for my leftovers which was great. It's nice to have a classy bar and restraint right downstairs as well as room device. The tv was having some connection issues the last night. Everything else was great.
Attentive, friendly staff. Very comfortable room. Nice variety for breakfast. Great value There was nothing we didn't like
Full breakfast was good and local restaurants were abundant nearby. Significant early morning noise. Remodeling on the 2nd floor. Mattress had weak springs making for a valley in the middle.
Large room with lots of space, Great window balcony with black-out curtains.
Prefer breakfast to be available at 6 on weekends as it is during the week.
Staff is very nice and accommodating. Construction and renovation was going on which is needed I might add. I am dumbfounded at the prices charged at the pantry. I guess if you have a captive audience you can gouge, I mean charge whatever you want, $6.00 for a domestic beer? $16 for a half bottle of average wine and $30 for the whole bottle. $8 a glass in my room is the same as I pay at the airport! C'mon Courtyard I know you need to make a little profit, but don't force me to leave the hotel. I don't consider myself cheap but after that half bottle, I definitely felt taken advantage of. Similar results at the bar...No prices listed and when I asked "What was on Happy Hour" I was told the choices were $1 off. I preferred the wine not on happy hour thinking "what's a buck or 2." 2 Glasses later, the bill was $28 plus tip. WHAT!? That bottle at the store is$12-$15. There are better choices all around. I will consider those next time.
Overall very satisfactory property. No hot water in the room on the morning of my departure. The problem was fixed by maintenance while I was having breakfast.
The hotel is near downtown and plenty of places to eat. The pool was closed for repair. This happened last year also. They should have the pool maintenance complete during the month of Feb. Spring break for many cities is March/April. This trip we our room wasn't ready till after 4pm we were told 3:00. The lady at front desk was VERY nice and she made a note of it.
The beds were in good shape and slept well. Bathroom fa ilities were clean and in good repair. Had a few stains on the floor that were sticky. It was a black sort of grease stain in a few high traffic spots. Little reminder you are maximizing your dollar value.
Room size Bed was comfortable There was a $100.00 deposit I had to give them when I checked in. After I already thought i had paid for everything online. Also there was another $4.95 charge during checkout Walls were thin.
First room...very low volume from hot water faucet in bath. Left water on for approx. 5 minutes...never got hot. Second room...no coffee or cups...had hot water though. Needed new vent in bath...very noisy felt sorry for people above us. Will I say next year? undecided....each year facility has more issues. STAFF IS GREAT THOUGH...EASY TO DEAL WITH..GREAT FRT DESK!!
Very clean rooms, easy check in out process. My room was near the exterior door, and with nothing to prevent it the doors slammed every time some one went in or out. I was woken up several times when sleeping.
Price point. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Bar and grill behind the hotel. Could use a lot of cosmetic updates.
I the beds were comfortable After being told by kayak in the girl the front desk when I checked in it was already paid in full she then told me I needed to put down $100 deposit either cash or on a card and there is no mention of that anywhere until I got there quite surprised. Also there was a fist fight between some people in the room next to mine and some people from another room it seems like some families all chipped in got shared one room so they could use the pool all day drunk people out of young people just drinking and causing a ruckus I came outside to find out the Ruckus and next thing you know I'm being yelled at by the people in the Next Room for watching ridiculous
Everything felt right in this one. The staff is friendly, and I was able to make myself quickly at home. Will definitely go back.
Large & clean pool Clean outdoor Jacuzzi/hot tub Lobby Computer to print boarding pass Free Wi-Fi Fitness Center Great Restaurant Onsite (The Bull Shed) Try their beef brisket. Good Central Location that is roughly 2 hours from Pismo Beach and about 2 hours from the Sequoia National Park (Giant Sequoia trees). Dirty-looking Sheets and towels (probably just stained) Electric outlets were not all in working order (I assumed it was the iron and got a replacement just to find-out the power outlet did not work.) "Free" Breakfast (Biscuits and Gravy were very soupy and only 1 out of 3 mornings was there an alternative of bacon and eggs. I was typically there from 6AM - 7AM each morning so unless it was too early but posted 6AM to 10AM) Basic Cable with no HBO/premium channels (Luckily I did not spend much time in the hotel room).
Room smelled terrible. tv reception was bad Air went on and off, never quite got cool throughout room. Checked out less than 4 hours later. Maintenance did try to fix but the smell was too bad. Had 2 adjoining rooms. Totally unacceptable
food,staff,bar bed,toilet,too much money, shower
loved that it was cheap. I also loved that the staff was nice, hotel was clean, and that there was a pool and indoor gymn to use. they also had hbo! no cons
Great staff. Comfortable. The pool is outdoors and not heated. Inconvenient to walk to. But if you don't care about swimming this is not a big deal.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. It was a quiet and pleasant stay. I was traveling on business (what else brings you to Bakersfield in the summer??) and the hotel had everything I needed for just one night but I could have stayed for several days as the room had a microwave, refrigerator, and separate sink. The outside pool was also enjoyable for a night swim. Honestly, the only thing I did not like was that it was very hot in the hallways and elevators - of course it's the summer in Bakersfield so I'm not sure how they could control that.
I liked the how everything looked good, comfortable bedding. Did not like that there was a cockroach in our room just before check out near our suitcase, worries me because I have a baby.
that it had an indoor pool all the kids in the pool as the acoustics were extremely loud
Thought it would be a suit, no separation from kids was an issue.
room clean no refrigerator had to request if needed with cost no water in room
The staff always greeted me well whether they were room attendants or front desk staff. The fitness room holds little more than a few treadmills.

Wow. Location was perfect and the staff was truly fantastic. Great service and a great experience!
Location of my room made it fairly dark and being near the laundry and maids' supply room was not ideal. The room itself was fine.

The complimentary breakfast was as good as I've had at any hotel, full and fresh.
Kitchen and free breakfast Room service housekeeping
the free breakfast was so spectacular , delicious, and everything you can imagine , and the service was very good. the rooms are kind of 'dated' (although very clean)
Free happy hour On the last day, the beer was warm and although the workers (small middle aged women) were telling the so called supervisor about the warm keg...he seemed too busy chit chatting on a cell phone and aloofly delegated the responsibility to the workers.
Complimentary dinners... No deserts with complim entaqry dinners...
First-rate service and accommodations. We were ESPECIALLY pleased with the service provided by hotel employee at the front counter. Everything was great.
Nice place, good rooms, fairly new looking. The staff, for the most part was terrible. Inept; at a loss for problem solving, solution creation, and just rather ill prepared and, or trained. The manager was the one who lacked the most in explanation, ideas and overall leadership. Many mistakes! Sad!

Great breakfast, large comfortable rooms My online deal said free WiFi but I couldn't login, tv was small
Friendly staff! Very kind. Dirty towel left in our room and the shower door was broken. There were also big clumps of soap residue on the wall in the shower. Was not thrilled about any of that. We let the front desk know and they moved us right away and upgraded us. They seemed genuinely surprised at the mistake by housekeeping, but it was still gross.
Good breakfast and nice staff
A very good place to stay: not far from fwy 99, has a great selection of diverse eateries nearby, and a wide variety of stores and shoppes. The lady at the check-in was most accommodating, friendly and helpful. The location was a midway point during our travel so we stayed two nights: from San Diego to Yosemite and on the rebound.
Very accommodating staff and clean rooms, very close to any kind of shopping you could possibly want all kinds of food etcetera. The carpets in our room we were fairly nasty, and no complimentary breakfast.
Nothing really. Location not particularly close to anything except close to my Sister's home which is why I would come to Bakersfield. No other redeeming qualities. Bistro advertised as open at various late times on literature but no earlier than 10:00 pm so I figured I was safe to call room service at 9:10 pm but it was closed at 9:00 pm. I had to drive to get food for tired kids and wife ... and I was tired also. Pretty shabby, dirty and poor service at check-in.
Location Restaurant is in other building
