Very nice location and structure. Nice pools filled with sea water, excellent food, very very rich and well cooked and nicely presented. The majority of personnel were helpful. Also there were activities and events every night. Lovely hotel, suitable for families, nice location. The only thing that could be improved would be cleaning better the external hotel areas, such as corridors, yards and pools. The rooms were very clean inside. Also the level of noise should be moderated as some rooms were very close to the function areas. The hotel could expand the main restaurant area more as it has many guests.
The room was spacious and overlooked the sea On one day our room was not cleaned, we had to ask twice for clean towels and as you can't flush toilet paper, leaving the bin 2 days was not acceptable.
We transfered to the new Castello Boutique hotel across the road and found the facilities to be excellent. The room was well appointed and spacious and it had a lovely view over the pool and local church. The staff were very helpful and very friendly-we could not fault the way that we were looked after. The meals-which we took in the old Castello Village hotel were very nice-only down side was that the restaurant was very busy and in retrospect we wished that we had opted to eat in the new hotel which looked much quieter. Nothing
The manager was sympathetic. Very loud and noisy place. Rooms facing the pool are unbearable because of the noise. Not recommended if you're looking for any peace and quiet. Dinner was not good.
pools, position, staff, breakfast, our room was good. Evening meals! Very bland luke-warm preheated food, after the first night we went out despite the fact that we had paid for half board
I liked the food, the staff was very warm and helpfull. We found our room to small compared to the photos shown on your site. The hotel is situated in Sissi wich is not a "fun" resort but more of a quiet one.
The hotel's staff was extremely polite and friendly. Everyone seemed to look for our convenience/service. The breakfast and dinner was really good value. Really good value for money hotel! It is a complete hotel complex in general. Change of the towels more often. The gym area was totally old fashioned and left, needs a renovation and more attention to be paid. Some of the furniture although good quality maybe need a renovation in future.
The most I like was friendly and helpful stuff, environment of hotel, food,...
Great Hotel in very nice village on the northern coast of Crete. The overwhelming friendlyness of the staff, helpfullness and cleanliness made as wanting to come back next year. The new part of the hotel in the second building has definitely added luxury. A few meters to the east are some fantastic beaches and to rent a car or (better) a scooter is highly recomended. We found the car rental 'smile' appr. 100 m from the hotel best.
Good rooms and good food No beach, istead double bed there were two single beds splitted together
Quite place, not crowded No beach near the hotel
The hotel itself was very pleasant. The buffet dinner, after the salads, was inedible. I emailed asking for location/directions and was not answered. That proved costly for the taxi. It should be made more clear where the hotel is and which port it is nearest to.
Facilities excellent and staff very friendly and helpful...thoughtful detailing we did not find elsewhere such as provision of iron & ironing board as well as hair dryer. Kitchen equipment included little useful touches like a cheese grater. Although simply furnished the apartment was spotlessly clean None
Could not find any faults. None
location, value for money hotel staff
It is very central, and all the available amenities are very close; sea, pool, shops. The staff are very helpful. No!
the location is good for quite nights, there is no good access to the beach ... but central to do sightseeing and not overwhelmed with package tourism ..
We stayed 6 nights at the Porto Sissi's seaside appartment in front of the pool. We enjoyed these days in the tastefully furnished appartment with a gorgeous view, calmly situated but close to the centre of Sisi. The landlady Anthi was very friendly and competent in advicing on Crete's wonderful sites, hidden from the regular touristic tracks. We got to visit fish tavernas and mountain villages we otherwise would not have seen, we found wonderful beaches and mountain plateaus and we hope to come back soon.
We stay at sea-front renovated aparments. Nice view from balcony! Apts was good equiped - technics, furniture, bathroom, plates and dishes, linen. In total complex of apartments is small so there was no crowd of people. Good placement in the center of Sisi - a lot of restaraunts&bars there. Small beach in the harbour near apts. Not good location for travelling without car because Sisi is located aside from main road with buses. You have to walk about 2 km until bus station.
very loud til 4am, mosquitos, no screens
We really enjoyed our stay in one of the sea front apartments, which for the two of us was comfortable and roomy. Opening the living room windows and front door to see/hear the sea was great as was having a balcony to relax by the pool (which overlooks the sea). Only a few of the apartments were occupied during our stay and, being outside of the school holidays, there weren't any children, so it was quietwith almost exclusive use of the pool. The hotel owner was very helpful when we arrived and then basically left us to it but made sure we knew we could contact her at any time. The amenities were great with plenty of supermarkets and bars/tavernas (many right beside the sea) practically on our door step. No
