Pros: This is by far the place to stay when visiting Walla Walla! I could go on and on about the Hampton inn suites! I wish I had known about it years ago. I give it a 10 on every level. I'm super picky and I'm willing to rough it and stay in a small town that gets booked out quickly due to parent weekends and fabulous wineries but the Hampton Inn is far better than the Marcus Whitman in my opinion!
Pros: Clean room and great breakfast.
Pros: Management was extremely kind and resourceful.
Pros: One of the things I like about staying at a Hampton Inn is that they are pretty consistently good. There are rarely unpleasant surprises. You know what to expect and they usually deliver a dependably comfortable stay. This Walla Walla hotel fits this description perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable, the public areas of the hotel were attractive and well-kept. The breakfast was much better than the average free breakfast. No surprises...just what I wanted.
Cons: In this case, we were visiting our son at Whitman College, which is on the other side of town. It's not an insurmountable distance, but it would have been nicer to be closer to campus and the downtown area. Next time we visit, we will look at some closer alternatives, but I suspect they may not be quite as nice as the Hampton Inn. Like so many things in life, there are trade-offs...
Pros: Very clean and always enjoy the breakfast. The coffe was excellent.
Pros: it's probably the nicest hotel in Walla Walla, clean, newer facility, good food at the "breakfast included" buffet, better than most in the category.
Cons: The rooms are nice, but not nice enough to merit the price being charged. I was late making my reservation, and was only able to get a "Handicapped Acccessible" room, and frankly, in comparison to other rooms in the hotel (a relative had different room in the same hotel which I visited), it wasn't nearly as well appointed, the view from the window was obscured by the porte cochère covering the driveway, and the overall effect was "dingy," even though the room was perfectly clean. The a simple fact is the room never gets adequate natural light, given its unique place in the building. Yet I paid as much for it as any other room in the 2-double-bed category. Seems unjust.

Pros: This place is fancy. Everything was so nice- shower, bed, modern sofa bed... This is a new, modern hotel with the nicest staff I've ever had. It was New Year's Eve and the staff were all smiles and eager to help even though they had to work.

Cons: The room was outdated- even the hair dryer in the room was at a low wattage. Of the three people I came in contact with at the front desk, two were horrible. When we checked in the person made a HUGE point of saying we booked through Expedia (Kayak); they also gave us the worst room on the property- next to the elevator AND the vending machine when the hotel was not fully booked.
I would NOT recommend this hotel!
Cons: The unnecessary ADA room was cramped due to ADA compliance.
Pros: The hotel itself is very well appointed. We enjoyed the Marcus Whitman art exhibit.
Cons: The room lacked the attention to detail giving to the rest of the property. We shut the noisy heating unit off in January to get some sleep. There was no do not disturb tag for the door so room service bothered us. Just like the last time we stayed there were five tiny pillows instead of two or more large comfortable pillows.
Pros: The room was awesome. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: The fire alarm went off at 3am. The entire hotel was cleared out, and we sat to sit on the sidewalk for 45 minutes while the building was searched. No fire. Obviously didn't sleep well.
Pros: I liked the room, the very soundproof walls/floors in the old section of the hotel. The location puts you surrounded by tasting rooms. We had booked rooms in the conference center section of the hotel and paid a bit more to upgrade to stay in the old hotel. It would have been quieter to be in the conference area; the street running past the front of the hotel is very noisy and looks out at gas station signage. So although we were able to upgrade, we didn't get the best kind of king standard rooms, instead I felt they put us near the elevators and in the rooms that would be least likely to sell later that day. By the hotel staff's own admission, the old section of the hotel was very empty those nights.
Cons: It felt like in early November that the kitchen had gone into off-season presentation mode. A steak salad I had from the bar menu--since the bar was where most of the energy was the Sunday night we ate there--was soggy with a blue cheese dressing, although it was described in the menu as having a white balsamic dressing. The steak was two giant chunks of dry beef. Not sure it was steak; I asked for it well-done as I'm not much of a beefeater, but thought they'd be cooking sliced steak to-order, not hacking off a big chunk from an already cooked roast. House-made potato crisps were a bit past their prime and definitely made earlier that our order, and cold. Wine selection was good but no sommelier was in the building to assist.
Coffee pot in-room was entirely plastic and there was no cream or sugar (or white stuff of any kind) for the nasty in-room brewed coffee.
No tub in our room only a very nice large shower.
Pros: We thought the breakfast was great. Nice ambiance in general. We stayed in the newer addition.
Cons: Our television did not work and it took two phone calls to get help, but once they came, they worked their magic and it was fine.
The Marcus Whitman Hotel and Conference Center is just 4.3 mi (6.9 km) from the airport and offers a free shuttle (available on request). Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at The Marc Restaurant, which serves dinner. A bar/lounge and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms at this historic hotel offer refrigerators and premium bedding.
Pros: Great price, friendly staff, quiet, convenient location for our needs.
Cons: A little rundown in places, but that added to the charm.
Pros: Quiet and clean large rooms
Cons: No breakfast and a little pricey

Cons: For the switched to another hotel 30.00 cheaper just as nice.
Pros: a great breakfast!!!
Pros: Beautiful and NEW!
Cons: Pool was closed/empty (Feb 2015) but they were nice enough to make the neighboring hotel available to anyone who really wanted to use one! Just a short, chilly walk over to it :)
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Overall, not convinced the hotel was good value for money.
Pros: Staff was very accommodating -- we actually left after only one night because the hotel had construction that we were not told about. But the staff was very professional about our concerns.
Cons: Construction ongoing that we were not informed of at booking.
Pros: Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Room good.
Cons: Weak Wi-Fi
This was a relatively new facility, so everything was new and worked and nothing was worn. The indoor pool and exercise facility look good (I didn't use them). It is more than a mile from the downtown area, but parking was easy, so that's not a big deal. There is a restaurant and a coffee stand adjacent to the property. The staff were young, knowledgeable and friendly. We would go back again and use Priceline which gave us a nice, discounted rate.
Pros: This was a great value. The whole place is pretty new. The breakfast was hot, fresh and had good enough variety. The room had a mini-refrig for storing food and drink. The TV was a newer HD flat screen. Nearly everything was better than good.
Cons: The near deal-breaker was the toilet seat (really). I am only 5'6' and it was nearly too small/short for me. The building's HVAC system also was a little noisy in our room.
It was an average hotel, I believe too mucho way for it, my niece stayed at comfort inn and that was just as nice or nicer and it was less expensive.
Cons: In the bathrooms the grout was missing so it looks dirty but it wasn't dirt just missing grout.
Nice Holiday Inn Express; have stayed at them before this one was an 8 out of possible 10 on my list.
Pros: Good rate, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Was booked into a handicap room which was not required or requested, when asked if I could change advised no.
We arrived at 2PM and asked if our room was availble; understandably, not. We were told to come back at 3PM. Came back at 3:30 to check in and the room wasn't ready. Waited with the family in the lobby for 25 minutes before I had to ask again if the room was available. Only then, did he call to ask. Not once did any of the front desk personnel ask how we enjoyed our stay. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. we've stayed here many times before with great service, but something has changed in the personnel.
Pros: Clean & modern
Cons: We arrived at 2PM and asked if our room was availble; understandably, not. Came back at 3:30 to check in and the room wasn't ready. Waited with the family in the lobby for 25 minutes before I had to ask again. Only then, did he call to ask.

Pros: Traveling with a small pet is always a bit challenging
Here the location is right on Mill Creek, large lawn area for dogs, very quiet and centrally located
Staff during our stay was very professional yet still retained that small town friendliness
Ask for a room that faces the creek and you won't be disappointed
Cons: Heating system was difficult to regulate - either too warm or too cold.
Pros: This hotel was clean, convenient to the area and highway access, with a local restaurant and coffee shop next door. The value was perfect.

Pros: Front desk clerk on day shift - sorry I don't know her name, she is pregnant now (summer 2017), has star tattoos on her arms. She is GREAT! The best. Give her a raise and a promotion. Also the male night clerk who made me a wooden dowel for my widnow.
Cons: The window in my room didn't lock. Had to get a dowel for the frame so I would feel safe. Also the kids upstairs screamed & stomped around their room until midnight. complained but it didn't help. I don't think Breanna (??) ever asked them to be quiet.
Pros: I always stay here when I am in Walla Walla, the beds are very comfortable and the location is convenient and very quiet.
Pros: the breakfast was good... 24 hr pool and gym a plus.
Cons: the room could have been cleaned a bit better but nothing i couldn't handle. the bed was very broken in on the sides and there was a hump in the middle. Very thin walls.. we would here every movement from people in the room above us.
Pros: Great location, easy check in, staff was great.. Hotel is in great condition & well kept.
Cons: No complaints :)
Pros: Super clean rooms and common areas.
Cons: Although I did not use it, the pool and hot tub areas looked dirty. Perhaps it was the lighting, but the water appeared somewhat green and cloudy.
Pros: The front desk gal was super friendly and professional. I like the shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
Cons: spa and pool was not in order
Pros: Quality Inn was clean and the staff were all lovely. Really, I could not have been happier.
Pros: While the staff was very apologetic and helpful, the following experience made the stay horrible. We were given a new room but we're not able to sleep well at all. The 10 percent discount they said they would give was not nearly good enough.
Cons: The bed had been made over a mattress that over half had been urinated on probably the night before. My wife sat on the bed as we were getting ready to go to sleep and found that the urine was soaking up through all of the bedding. This was disgusting!
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: No insulation in the walls. When water is running through the pipes, it is very loud. You can also hear what is going on down the hall even if the door is closed.
Pros: The staff were wonderful, going out of their way to make my stay pleasant.
Cons: Breakfast was just ok, would have liked to see some better healthy options, fruit that wasn't old and hard boiled eggs. Gluten free items would be nice as well.
Pros: Clean and friendly
Pros: The location was great in the building was nice they had a good pool facility as well
Cons: The location was great in the building was nice they had a good pool facility as well

Pros: Nice pool, clean rooms, cable TV. Had all the items that you'd want in a priced hotel - great value!
Pros: Walking distance to many downtown restaurants, shops, and tasting rooms. Good price.
Pros: It was functional and cool. Nice view of downtown and close to resteraunts and shops. Best price that I was able to find while staying in WallaWalla.
Cons: I stayed 4 nights. I would have appreciated having my bed made daily And sheets changed out. Some complimentary coffe in the morning would have been a nice thing as well.
Pros: Location. Easy walking distance to downtown restaurants and wine tasting rooms.
The check-in clerk was very friendly and competent. There was a mix-up in our booking with an extra room reserved under my name for some reason. She got it taken care of with no issues.
Cons: The place was recently converted to a Motel 6 and the conversion was definitely a downgrade from what it was before. Bed was hard as a rock. Walls were white-washed as part of the conversion and are already dirty. Carpeting was well worn, though to be fair it looks like they were in the process of replacing the carpet with wood flooring.
Pros: Room was available.
Cons: Mold in shower, shower curtain torn.
Very old facility that has been partially renovated. Very marginal.
Pros: This is a great place for the night stay on a business trip. I did have to switch outlets around to get my Laptop plugged in but it did work out. There is a small swimming pool, but this is a place best suited for the business trip,or the quick night sleep for a family on a long trip. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The caulking in the bathroom needs to be redone, and correctly. Have more outlets available to the guests as they have phones and laptops to take care of. I didn't receive the wifi info so had to use my phone for internet for my laptop.
Motel 6 Walla Walla, Wa is conveniently located off of US-12. Eastgate Mall and M and F drive in Theatre are less than 8 milles away. Enjoy free Wi-Fi available in all rooms and our sparkeling outdoor heated pool.
Pros: Went to check in and they couldn't get their fire alarm to turn off. Checked into our room and found the wall across from the toilet to be dirty. My husband and I both have sleep apnea machines but their were not plug in by the bed for our machines. Brought in an extention cord we had in our truck and while putting it under the bed we found broken beer bottles. We went into the pool and hot tub area and the ventilation is poor. So you were dripped on by the condensation. There is also growth from the wetness in the wood in the ceiling. The hot tub jets were way too high. TV was poor quality and had lines in it. The bed was hard and hurt our backs. The heater was extremely loud. Breakfast doesn't have anything for a diabetic.
We were planning g on staying there once a month but bow we are going to pay at least $40 more to find a hotel that is clean, and upto date
Will NOT Recommended Super 8
Pros: The room was clean and no odors from use or too much cleaning product. The bed was comfortable. Quiet.
Cons: The breakfast room was small with very few choices.
Only one single serving of coffee was in the room for the morning.
Towels were small and like sand paper.
Pros: It was nice that the room was large and had all options. Fridge, microwave, safe. Indoor hottub and pool. Nice friendly staff
Pros: I needed a no frills place to stay for one night. Super8 Was just that. Staff was friendly and helpful! Looked like the rooms had recently been renovated- they were nice and stylish.
Pros: The beds were nice
Cons: The breakfast was horrible might get rid of it and charge less foe the rooms. Also they tried to charge you $1.50 A DAY to use the in room safe and not tell you about it. Nothing is posted in the room about the charge I just happen to see a little tiny sign down at the registration desk if you didn't use it to please let the clerk know and they will take off to charge. What in the heck??? Next they will be charging you to use the pillows and the desk that come in the room. Very sneaky way of not letting you know about this charge.
Pros: Everyone was so nice at the hotel... The rooms were clean and really comfortable... Excellent place for a good and peaceful rest...
Cons: I asked for a wake up call and did not get it... :(
Cons: very poor breakfast
room - no ironing board
WAY over priced for quality
Pros: Front desk person was very helpful.
Cons: Very over-priced. Nothing special about this hotel.
Pros: Pool is fine. Breakfast is standard. Older building so you hear a lot of hallway noise. Updated room.
Cons: Paid $100 for a night... Not worth it.., over priced.
Pros: Recently renovated, so updated everything. Liked the plugins on the lamps for charging smartphones, etc. The rooms were quiet and clean. Reasonably priced.
Cons: Issues with wall outlets not fitting plugins correctly. Potential electrical hazard.
Pros: Clean, comfortable and convenient. Breakfast is a nice benefit too. This is a good value hotel.
Cons: Bed is hard and pillows are thin and too firm. Otherwise, this is a solid hotel.
Pros: Clean, quiet, they are undergoing renovations, so it was kind of cluttered, but it didn't interfere with the stay. Rooms were clean, it was quiet at night. Staff was polite and helpful.
Cons: The price. I'm sorry but it's a Super 8. It's supposed to be an economy hotel...no frills...but I paid 149.00 and I just think that was far too high. Taking advantage of college town and fact that things were booked. Rates were way too high for such a no frills place.

This four bedroom, turn-of-the-century farmhouse is the ultimate accommodation for family and friends to gather and enjoy the luxury of your own wine country getaway. Surrounded by vineyards and manicured gardens this old homestead beckons you to step back in time and relax. Enter through the grand doorway of the wrap-around porch and find a library, a living room and a dining room complete with a working wood fireplace. Through the swinging door you will find a “chef’s kitchen” that invites you to cook. From the glass front cabinetry, marble countertops and multiple farm sinks, this kitchen has retained all of its charm but is filled with modern conveniences that will make entertaining a breeze. It is open to a large living space with a TV, surround sound, a wine bar and gas fireplace. Walk up the grand staircase and you will find four bedrooms. Each room is furnished with a queen or king bed, comfortable chairs and private bathrooms. All have stunning views of vineyards, the Palouse, and Blue Mountains. Sit in the sunroom under the barrel vault ceiling and enjoying the sunset and watch the light change as if you were in a living painting. Please know, that, although this house is a grand-old-lady of a certain age, we think you will enjoy her modern comforts and luxuries.
Pros: The room looked like it has been updated. The location to downtown and restaurants was great. Pretty easy access to the highway
Cons: Even though the room was nice, little was given to details. The picture frames were damaged, the bathtub drain plug was removed, water pressure in toilet wasn't good, the sliding door was old and was difficult to open or close. The curtains wouldn't close all the way so light was coming in. The continental breakfast was less than desirable, they didn't even have hot water for the tea. When I was trying to check out, the girl at the counter couldn't help me, even though the night before I talked to them about checking out early. Because of that, I was running late for my appointment and was never given a receipt. This was not the type of Red Lion I was expecting
Pros: location to Whitman and downtown
Cons: Could use some updating. Red Lions at one time had a reputation which i would say rivaled a Hilton. However, over the years, they've let themselves (in general) go down hill. The Walla Walla location overall is clean. The carpet could use a good cleaning and the roof is covered with moss-not a good first impression. Outside colors are atrocious.
Pros: The rooms are super adorable and everything is super comfortable. It's close to everything in town. The staff was very friendly. Even the little soaps were hand crafted, which I liked a lot.
Cons: The televisions seemed to have problems. Everything was working super slowly. The covered garage had some garbage in it after the night, which was kind of sketchy.
Pros: The room was very nice, including a duvet and top sheet.
The clerk didn't know the parking garage was closed off. We were able to find street parking.
The same clerk did a poor job or writing our room number on our key cover. His 9 looked more like a 7. My husband got very frustrated trying to get into the wrong room. I was glad that we didn't wake the occupants.
