Clean room and great breakfast.
Management was extremely kind and resourceful.
One of the things I like about staying at a Hampton Inn is that they are pretty consistently good. There are rarely unpleasant surprises. You know what to expect and they usually deliver a dependably comfortable stay. This Walla Walla hotel fits this description perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable, the public areas of the hotel were attractive and well-kept. The breakfast was much better than the average free breakfast. No surprises...just what I wanted.
In this case, we were visiting our son at Whitman College, which is on the other side of town. It's not an insurmountable distance, but it would have been nicer to be closer to campus and the downtown area. Next time we visit, we will look at some closer alternatives, but I suspect they may not be quite as nice as the Hampton Inn. Like so many things in life, there are trade-offs...
Very clean and always enjoy the breakfast. The coffe was excellent.
it's probably the nicest hotel in Walla Walla, clean, newer facility, good food at the "breakfast included" buffet, better than most in the category.
The rooms are nice, but not nice enough to merit the price being charged. I was late making my reservation, and was only able to get a "Handicapped Acccessible" room, and frankly, in comparison to other rooms in the hotel (a relative had different room in the same hotel which I visited), it wasn't nearly as well appointed, the view from the window was obscured by the porte cochère covering the driveway, and the overall effect was "dingy," even though the room was perfectly clean. The a simple fact is the room never gets adequate natural light, given its unique place in the building. Yet I paid as much for it as any other room in the 2-double-bed category. Seems unjust.
