The rooms are really nice and big, our own house with a high roof gives the very African feeling! The view was awesome!!!! From our bed we had bushview on ostrich, zebras and giraffes!!! The terrace also with good seats, very big bed wich was great, outside shower with again this view, delicious bath with bathcrystals and everything was there!! And soooo clean!! The staff Promise, Sara and the team were so kind and sweet! They did our room 3 times a day, taking care that we did had everything and warming up our room in the afternoon with heaters! They made us feel so welcome, started when we arrived and the whole team was waiting for us and said hello/welcomed us! They asked in morning by our names if we sleeped well or if everything is ok! They really did their best for us with a very nice dinnertable at the fireplace..so romantic and so nice! And a nice breakfastable outside with ostrich coming close to say hello! Also the owner Tamar is very nice to talk to and try to help with wathever you need! The pool with the giraffe, zebras and ostrich coming close!! I could only dream off, and the tasty warm cakes With coffeetime, you could also make your own coffee or espresso trough the day wich we coffeelovers are very hapy with! Pros: The game drive, going up the mountain and seeing the beautiful views. I’m addition, Sarah offered to guide us on the trail up the mountain and back. The fire at night was also great
Cons: The staff was not helpful upon arrival, no welcoming me and not assisted with our luggage. It would be great if the lodge would offer full restaurant with a bar and speedpoint machine.
Pros: Room: The room was beautiful with luxury bath and outdoor shower. King size bed was extremely comfortable Staff: We were greeted on arrival by the full staff - they were so accommodating. Promise was a great guide for our morning walk. Food: The breakfasts were divine - we were even joined by the ostriches and zebras every morning
Cons: Room: The sliding door didn't close precisely and let in a draft, pillows were not great, sun poured in in the mornings blinds weren't great for that. Food: The dinner which you had to pay extra for was overpriced for what we got (A braai with some overcooked food and some raw chicken and frozen tiramisu).
Pros: Absolutely amazing place to spend a weekend or longer. The staff are absolutely fantastic and warm. The lodge itself is beautiful with lots of special touches for your comfort and visually stunning. A very special place.
Pros: We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thanks to all the staaf for looking after us.
Pros: Excellent breakfast outside and inside and even a cosy fire when it was a little chilly! We had a wonderful stay with very pleasant staff, chef and game driver! Peace and tranquillity in beautiful Bushveld with zebras, impala`s and Helga(the ostrich) coming to say hello on the veranda! Thanks Tamar and York! We will be back
Cons: I would like to suggest nicer cutlery(stainless steel)

Pros: The friendliness of the host was absolutely amazing. Guest house was very well located as it wasn't too far away from the highway
Pros: Very nicely set out, feels like a home
Pros: Aunty Sybil, she is a GEM! She had our room arranged earlier than the normal check-in, she never hesitated to help us make the most of our weekend. She adds such sweet little gestures, to make you feel more at home - coffee, tea, fresh rusks. The bathroom was fit for a king, the rooms were impeccable, the space is enough for a decent sized family to rent out the bottom house - its quite literally a MANSION, in a secure, pristine game reserve styled estate. But it feels like home - I mean, we really could've happily stayed on not having missed our own home! What a pleasure. Thank you!
Cons: There was nothing to complain about. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Pros: Spacious room with a nice bathroom.
Cons: Too little natural light.
Pros: Great service, will visit the place and recommend it as well
Pros: The service was excellent. Very clean house. The owner was welcoming and we enjoyed wonderful hospitality from her and the staff. The beautiful and serene surroundings added to a delightful experience. Highly recommended!
Pros: Host was very friendly and very helpful to us, rooms were very large and included fantastic bathrooms, we had fridges and kettles in our rooms to put our shopping in (milk and rusks were provided), the downstairs lounge and pool area was great, the location is in a safe estate. There is also good wifi. You will not find better value for money.
Pros: Beautiful garden with pool and big sized room
Cons: There was no hair dryer at the property, after wash my hair, I caught a terrible cold. There was not enough lights in the garden, we had to braai at the darkness night. No cutting board in kitchen Killed two big spiders in the bathroom and bedroom. The bed was uncomfortable, too small and a bit light

Pros: The tents and the view are amazing!
Cons: The spa could do with a lot of work, the treatment rooms are very hot and uncomfortable on a hot day
Pros: I was Surprised ABOVE EXPECTATION!!! I visited Leeuwenhoff Country Lodge and Garden Spa a view years back and LOVED every bit of it, after reading reviews to go again, finally I was worried that I will be dissapointed BUT to my surprise Every little thing exceeded each expectation. The tent was lovely, beautiful and aircon and jacuzzi in excellent order. One evening the dining room was fully booked and we needed a little privacy and space and Khomoto the waiter was so friendly and carried our table outdoors - was PERFECT. The Food and dinner was truly 5 star CHEF FOOD. Khomotjo the booking lady at reception assistance with the booking was Beyond professional friendly with prompt replies and she went out of her way to make SURE that our every need in all my emails were 100% perfectly met. The Garden and all outdoor areas are well looked after and So Beautiful. The workers working outdoors was respectful and not so loud as years before. I truly LOVED every bit. Cant wait for the Spa section to be finished, they did inform us that it is in working progress. Thanks to booking.com who made it possible for us to very easily book and Many Thanks to Leeuwenhoff Country Lodge and Spa , Khomotjo, their waiters and managers at the dining room who offered us a Lovely and beyond WONDERFUL relaxed getaway. The place and the way they look after nature truly speaks of Jesus Creation and His Hand of Grace over Leeuwenhoff Country Lodge and Garden Spa. We will be back SOON!!
Pros: The Pool Beautiful garden’ Nice breakfast
Cons: Tv not working No water available in rooms No telephones to call reception Dirty kettle Even thou they apologized with a bottle of wine we fill that it is their responsibility to make sure that all rooms are well service and worth the money
Pros: The facilities are great, the food really good and the staff are excellent, they go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable
Pros: Loved the fire being lit in our room when we got back from dinner. Loved the professional, attentive and friendly staff. Loved the quietness, wide open spaces and game - and of course the spa treatments.
Cons: A dressing table and mirror to dry my hair
Pros: Quiet and Tranquil. We were treated very friendly by the staff.
Cons: Going home. :-)
Pros: The massage was the best, all the staff is friendly.
Cons: The flies in the restaurant I imagined the kitchen could have been worse. Breakfast buffet not covered with flies all over. The breakfast no option of warm food we needed to pay extra for that. Bed and breakfast should be warm food, actually full breakfast
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice location, with some maintenance the place have potential.
Cons: We stayed at your country lodge over the weekend and have a few issues and recommendations. Although the staff, especially Kgomotso is VERY friendly, we would like to highlight some reasons why we won’t return and won’t recommend Leeuwenhof to our friends. We came back from our wedding at 11pm, tired and sweaty we wanted to shower before bed. No water. No staff available to assist? We used a few wet wipes and went to bed. The next morning the water is still of and NO sign of any staff/management anywhere. No phone signal to phone. Radio next to be bed doesn’t work. How should guests get hold of you in case of an emergency, or just normal guest relations? The water issue would have been understandable if someone was there to assist us. Finally just after 8 in the morning we saw the first staff come in. The hand written note in the bathroom asking you not to take the shampoo is unprofessional. It would be better to use a printed note. Also, give a nice reason like we like to be environmental friendly and don’t want to give small bottles. The roof above shower is gross and in urgent need of paint. Nothing in the minibar except water. We would have like to use the glasses in the room. This is not self-catering and we did not know you should bring own drinks. No turn down? For R1500 per night? Overall the price was way to high for what we have received. And we have stayed in many many places world wide due to the nature of our jobs and our love for travel.
Pros: the breakfast wasn't that nice honestly I didn't enjoy it much. the location is fine and easy except for the gravel road

Pros: Staff friendliness, garden, food, peace and comfort.
Cons: Will book one of the better view room next time
Pros: The scenery is amazing
Cons: The boerewors for breakfast was horrible- Extremely dry.
Cons: Holes in towel, dirty kettle, duvet cover wrong way around, piece of plastic in my burger, filthy floor rugs on bedroom, mould on bathroom ceiling, insufficient dining room space, turn down service night 1 not night 2.
Pros: So much to do and a beautiful property. Summertime there would be a blast, but still a lot to do in Winter
Cons: Shower in the room was a bit grotty and the shower head did not work
Pros: The setting was a total surprise; absolutely stunning!!! Tropical gardens against the mountain side which felt like we were living in the tree tops. Huge sprawling gardens, including a chapel, children's playroom, zen garden, putt putt, volley ball, swimmong pool, table pool and more - so much to do. Loved the glass house and conference facilities. Excellent lounge bar and restuarant.
Cons: Bedrooms a little tired, and need updating. Bed needs replacing. Ask for a renovated room (tiles rather than carpets).
Pros: The food was best. The bed was very comfy
Cons: Not much we really had a good stay
Cons: Beautiful place and lovely people. The Bed was very uncomfortable and small. Could not get a good night's rest.
Pros: I loved the food and the place in general

The Chalet Rooms are nice and big and have all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Petrus was absolutely brilliant as a host, thoroughly made our stay amazing.

Pros: The staff were great and just the whole place was really lovely. We had a nice relaxing stay.
Cons: The only thing I would say they needed to look at is the food, its not terrible just very bland and over cooked on a few things.
Pros: Not enough space for what I didnt like so iv posted half here. What a disappointing stay. The rooms are really beautiful but it also seems as though management or the owners are not looking after them or bothered to make them worth a four star rating. When we arrived we were put in a room with no shower head for the outside shower, I enquired about this as we specifically wanted an outside shower and the lady at reception (so sweet and so helpful) moved us to another room. Once in that room, we discovered that the jets on the jacuzzi bath are not working (we were told that ALL the jet baths dont work only to find out from another couple that their jet bath was functional). Supposedly this is an error on bookings side but im not so sure who to believe anymore since discovering that I was misled. The fireplace didnt have gas and the insect repellent was not functional; id like to think that the staff checks this before people check in but clearly not. The rooms also dont have phones to call reception so be warned that you must walk up and down if you need something. This is very inconvenient and safety issue for me but we were advised that its the lodges policy. For a supposed 4 star lodge this is nonsensical. I dont see how this would improve my experience or my holiday. If I were to get bitten by a snake or have a heart attack and I am alone in my room, semi paralysed,I must now walk all the way to reception?? Would I even be able to?Plus there are no golf carts so believe me you will walk alot. The room also didnt have any air freshner in the bathroom and the toilet roll in the bathroom was not a fresh roll. I was also surprised to find no gowns. Id expect all of this from a 2 star bt not 4. Saturday there was no electricity in the morning and best belive it there is no generator. Another security, health and safety risk because the wifi then doesnt work and there is NO NETWORK. What if something had happened during that time?
Cons: This is truely unacceptable and basically irresponsible. We had a cold sloppy breakfast that morning, it was terrible to say the least.this was confusing because if u can make a fire for a potjie how can you not do the same to cook peoples food. The towels oh lord I could go on all day, dirty, some looked pee stained others have holes. The food was fair and dare a say it nice other than the sloppy breakfast. There are also only one waiter it seems. The waiter is also a porter, a handy man, bartender etc. This truely makes his service difficult because hes in all these places at once and for one person to attend to everyones needs and requests it is difficult because you land up getting rushed or below par service. He was however very helpful and sweet. The game drive was good, bt would have been better if people were offered blankets (iv been to a few game drives and iv always been offered a blanket) and refreshments. After my bf raised this we got water atleast. There is only one lady working the spa so if ur in a group or a couple ull have to go one by one, which is disappointing bcz me and my bf wanted to do treatments together. We eventually opted not to do the treatments. The horse riding lady also hurt herself so no horse riding, this should be advertised but hey. I basically spent my whole weekend complaining, what a waste of R6000. We did raise these issues to the manager, we can only hope they get corrected. Would I recommend this place? No. Would I go back, never. Can these things be fixed? Yes but until then I dont think this place should b 4 star rated, not at all.

Cons: the road as I was travelling with a small car
Pros: Everything was on point "Peace of mind" my team had a Good time and even considering being there at least every month to detox from work and city life
Cons: All was Good
Pros: You'll definitely need a vehicle with high clearance to access the property ... and ensure that you have the PIN code for the entry gate or you're stuck in the middle of nowhere!
Pros: It's a nice place for a work team exercises. Not for bringing kids
Cons: The cottage was not a good place to bring the kids. The where bugs every where in the cottage my 4 month baby was bitten by something at her head. Am a outdoor person myself but this was not a nice place even camping is much better.

Pros: We used this as a stop over enroute to Punda Maria, we arrived late but made prior arrangements and they were waiting for us. The security guard on duty made us feel very at home and looked after us very well....
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Please try to put double blankets.I was with my husband, we struggled too much wit single blankets.
Cons: Quet place, safe and clean place.
Pros: Great value! There is no heating device but enough blankets for a good sleep (in the morning were 2C outside). I came late (at midnight) but no problem for checking-in.
Pros: Is affordable and staff are friendly
Cons: Parking put cardboard for sun and rain
Pros: I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and the staff was friendly
Cons: The ants in my room
Pros: Very affordable for good quality.
Cons: I was told there would be security at night, got in just after midnight to all gates standing wide open, no guard in sight. Didn't make me feel safe at all.
Pros: Not much really
Cons: The photos on the site doesn't match the real live experience. I'm also still waiting for at least a part of our money back since that's what the receptionist had said to us. There were people that only came there to drink their alcohol and didn't even stay at funky stau. The location also is not in a safe environment.
Cons: The fact that the doors being banged all night and could not sleep.
Pros: Nothing everything the worse ever
Cons: No heater when its minus degrees The guy who checked us in smelled of alcohol. No hot shower water due to no electricity. No proper blankets the list goes on
