Pros. The hotel itself is beautiful, the landscaping is breathtaking and it's really quite wonderful.
Cons. The walls are EXTREMELY thin. You can hear someone sneeze. No exaggeration. I'd bring ear plugs or try and make sure no ones next to you.
Pros. Ease of parking. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Proximity to Santa Elena (5-10min walk).
Cons. Towels didn't smell great. Hot water in the shower was sporadic. Having a mini fridge would be nice.
Pros. I came to Monteverde just for the ziplining and hanging bridges at Selvatura Park. This hotel was in a great location to go there by rented car. The hotel includes a great typical breakfast every morning. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. Not many luxuries, but it's a great place to sleep and shower.
Cons. If you use google maps for directions to this hotel, the last street it has you turn on before reaching the hotel is very steep with dirt and loose gravel. It was pouring rain when we arrived so my two wheel drive SUV had trouble making it up. Would have been no trouble with a 4x4 vehicle, but even then I would go around and use one of the other streets to get to the hotel.

Cons. the clerk at the front desk was often unkowledgable about local acitivies, and we even had to call our previous hotel's front desk to arrange our monteverde activites. at other times, the clerks were misinformed and gave ur factually incorrect information
