Bad weather, but hotel can't control that. Room felt damp, but that may have been because of weather.
Bed was comfortable. Excellent view and Location. Located near restaurants but car is needed to get to them. Staff was friendly.
Was not offered valet parking. If you have a larger vehicle take the valet option. Garage access to upper floors is tight.
I've stayed at Patricia Grand Resort several times prior to this, and on holidays (i.e Christmas 2013). It seemed that the resort was not dealing well with the larger than usual influx of guests during the New Year holiday. Some of the cleaning staff appeared unkempt and unprepared, making it hard for me to want them to clean our room. However, upon arrival, the rooms were clean and the amount of money we paid was definitely worth the stay.
Upon check in I was hopeful that this place just might be our new beach hotel since our recent hotel of choice for the past 5 years had a bout of bed bugs. I was incredibly disappointed when I arrived to our room. If I could have found another hotel to stay at I would have at this point money was no object. The room was dingy and musty. The bed linens had stains and the curtains had holes in them big enough to let light through and wake you in the morning. I found two hair balls behind the bathroom door and one behind the shower door. The plastic cups on the counter in bathroom were wrapped in plastic which I thought was great until I picked one up and there was black dirt and a bug wing stuck to the bottom of it. Back to the bed concerns, the box springs had two large stains on the sides. I would like to plead ignorance is bliss and I will just assume the stains were from peoples' pets. The restaurant was horrific! We went to the breakfast buffet again trying to make the most of it. The new plates brought out for the buffet were covered in grits and food particles. After going through 5 dirty plates, we left and reported our findings to the front desk. She handed us a coupon for 10% off at Omega pancakes (which was wonderful) and gave us walking directions. We will never be back to such a place as this! I realize that most people may say, "well I'm not going to be in the room much" but trust me this hotel is on the bed bug registry and is pet friendly so I am sure they have fleas to contend with too! As a beach goer of 20+ years just stay someplace else.

The staff was slow and unprofessional. The wifi did not work. The smoke detector in my room had no battery! The cafe had no attendant for half an hour that I waited for coffee and milk was left on the counter during that whole time.
Parking for large SUV going from deck to deck. Use valet parking on the first deck for handicap and large vehicles on the first deck. Turns are too tight going to upper decks.
The location is perfect! right in the heart of Myrtle Beach, the ocean view from our room made it all worth wild.
Water pressure was low,weather seals are needed around the doors,no shuttle from the airport

i would like to have full services for restaurants every time. no need to go outside for dinner.
The price during the off season is amazing. Also, the location is great.

Parking deck is unsafe and dangerous to park in; elevators were unreliable; front desk staff were rude; hotel is older and more run down than it appears on the website.

I did not like the shaking elevators, The parking deck did not have enough light after dark, and the parking garage elevators was always stuck on the 5th floor, and the parking garage is too small, be careful not to scratch your car, when turning the corner!
