Excellent location, in the rural area of Holland, close to the walled city, bike rental, lake, and quick easy train ride to the heart of Amsterdam Nothing
The breakfast was very good The choices for food in the evening were very limited
Easy to find from the motorway Fitness basic, No airconditioning, Restaurant closed 1 hour before time advertised
Hospitality location Expensive breakfast @ 19 Euro
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room by reasobable price. Free parking. Convenient location near autostrade but quiet. There was no aircon in the room I stay. It is not problem in Autumn, but may be significant in summer time.
clean room, nice modern bathroom. Breakfast nice buffet. Visit to Naarden Vesting is a MUST. Fortress village surrounded by double moat. Straight shot to Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) and close to the main East-West Highway. No A/C in the room. A bit stuffy with warm weather.
I stayed for a single night on business and stayed in Naarden as it was close to the office. Hotel is a short taxi ride from Naarden-Bussum station. It also serves a satisfactory dinner and breakfast. Room was very clean and perfect for business travel. Wifi in the room is not free but you can get free wifi in the restaurant in 30 minute increments. For me it was convenient, well-priced and I would stay here again. Although I was overall very satisfied the hotel, as a chain, lacks personality and if something more personal had offered dinner I would have stayed there. The restaurant is satisfactory but not more than good. The food is tasty and acceptable for this standard of hotel but not a highlight.
excellent buffet breakfast no minibar in the room
Very basic hotel Having to pay for car parking
Good staff, variety of breakfast options Bar closing time
Breakfast, private parking
The breakfast buffet was good. The restaurant, although with limited menu, served delicious gourmet salad. Its quite far from Amsterdam Central, although there is a train station 1.2 km away. Our stay coincided with an IBC conference so most moderately-priced hotels in Amsterdam were booked.
Easy to reach. Good parking possibilities. Clean room. Poor TV picture and no improvement after complaint. Standard furniture; not very modern. Hall without flair. Very expensive breakfast.
The rooms were clean and air conditioned. The beds were comfortable.
the friendly and welcoming atmophere created by its staff I would prefer for the hotelo to have some sports facilites
Great rooms, quiet location next to highway
Friendly, easy access. Nice comfortable rooms.
staff was friendly, nice breakfast room with view on the garden, good free parking it is a no nonsense business hotel (groups coming in for meetings etc...) so not very charming!
The good restaurant and the quieteness of the hotel. Sometimes there was too much smoke in the receprion. On top of that the smoke could enter the restaurant. That was the only (but for me) important negatif point.
It was a quiet facility and I liked the fact that they had designated non-smoking rooms. I had a strange sewer like smell for the duration of my stay there. At first I thought it was only my room but I smelt it in some of the hallways as well.
Large rooms, nice staff, fantastic wellness center.
The indonesion restaurant in the hotel and their friendlyness.
Good breakfast, friendly service lack of assistance with luggage and wheelchair
The view from our suite..
Wonderful view. Very quiet. Excellent service.
The suite room is great, the upgrade justify the money for value. The wifi internet for free, the free parking, the quit zone where is located the hotel The breckfast is litle poor and to expencive in the room
Visit some frinds in Laren No
view over the lake and marina the bar is not warm/cosy.
Nice size room and large bed and easy parking No coffee or tea making facilities in the room & bottled water was expensive
Easy on/off from the main road. Good size room. There was nothing of interest walking distance from the hotel. This is mainly a hotel for travelers passing thru.
My room was towards the highway................NOISY
clean and spacious bedroom missed dustbin in bathroom
Large hotelroom and good beds Check the bill before you leave, but the personell handles that properly.
The location The hotel was not informed about the on line booking, the adres rijksweg is not correct with gps, in the room there were things not working, the distance between the reception and the room is too long when you are overloaded. The diner was correct.
Nice rooms, restaurant staff were very helpful and professional The receptionist could cheer up a bit
We liked the helpfulness of the staff and the fact that the inexperienced waitress in the restaurant not only came to apologise for her mistake in the order but also took the time to ensure that our visit was enjoyable.
The hotel is very easy to reach from the highway. The rooms were clean. The dinner I had in the restaurant was not good; no value for money. In my room, one of the doors had a big hole in it as if somebody had hit it really hard, which made me feel unsafe.
Staff in the restaurant. Rooms, corridors, bad smell in the hotel from bars, food.
Pleasant welcome; comfortable, modern bedroom; 'Opening offer' very good value. Not sure why you'd need to visit Almere town centre, but hotel is very convenient for it. Apart from reception few staff in evidence. Parking was a hassle when we arrived in evening. 'Opening offer' was good value, but hotel needs quite a lot of staff training. In theory buffet breakfast was good, but many tables not cleared and the 'hot' breakfast items were nearly cold making breakfast disappointing.
The desk staff were exceptional, they helped us with planning routes around the local area on multiple occasions and made excellent recomendations for local restaurants, Some of the best customer service i've experienced no
Special "opening price" of 60 euro/room, bathtub, buffet breakfast, TV with a lot of programs and films. Free wireless internet. The beds are wheeled and move when one sits there. The TV is mounted in the wall and therefore can be watched only from the bed. There's no information about hotel's services in the room. The windows are too high situated - nothing is seen from there. Breakfast were served and the tables were cleaned by just one girl - she didn't manage to do everything. And more.
Design Problem with the breakfast
I liked its location and the size of the room
Very smart rooms, great decor. Comfortable beds, air-con. Still have world's worst remote contro/user-interfacel for tv!
the trendiness and cleanliness of the rooms. location was good and view was lovely.
I liked the area where the hotel is located, I liked the slick design of the hotel. Good, but since there is no storrage at all in the room, then I would not recommend it for stays more than one night.
the rooms are cool, the beds were comfortable. location for us was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the area. (close to plenty of shops.)
Goede bedden, evt. extra kussens. Goed ontbijt. Good beds, with extra pillows if neaded. Nice breakfast I ate in the restaurant, where I ordered a steak medium-rare. I had to give it back 2 times: the first was medium-welldone, the second was cold. The excuse: it was difficult. I had to explain to the waiter what medium-rare meant. The beds are good, but try a local restaurant for your diner ;)
The Breakfast was of an unacceptable experience, Dirty Plates, Egg,Bacon cold and in my opinion had been there since the day before as was the bread on day these comments were stated to reception on checking out a day earlier.
nice bedroom, central location lobby being refurbished during stay breakfast menu exact same every day, over a week it became boring
very friendly and professional staff, central location near shops and pubs, own car park, good bathroom facilities, comfortable bed. old and dated, no 4 star comfort, no other facilities, depressing lobby atmosphere, restaurant closed, small room, internet 16 € per day, small TV, basic breakfast buffet ( hot food is not hot ).
Decent size room, quiet. When I had difficulty to connect to their wireless internet there was no help available.
Central Old and worned down, not worth its 4 stars
It was very pleasent. The desk clerk was very helpful. The breakfast was good. I loved that I had internet in my room. One night the music was till 3 in the morning. I believe it was some sort of disco. It was very loud and kept us awake.
The best thing about this hotel is its position. The room has a lot of space. Four star hotel should have much better rooms. It looks like that the hotel needs renovation badly. Carpets are not clean and curtains also need cleaning. Sharing balcony with 10 other rooms is not a good solution in case you forget to close balcony doors.
Central location. The staff were excellent.
The staff was very friendly and professional. Free internet was not available.
in center of town, no, helpfull staff at all hours.
10 min walk far to the train station-easy to reach Amsterdam. A 10 min à pied de la gare-accès facile au centre d'Amsterdam Bad soundproofing of bedrooms. Mauvaise insonorisation des chambres Do not be late for check-in (10pm). Arrivée à 22h au plus tard
Wonderful out of the way place
I liked the calm and peaceful atmosphere and the placement of the hotel - not far from the station and the surroundings are really lovely...Magic place, thank you
The owner and staff are very kind. Room is nice. It is a little difficult to find. So it is better to get arrived before dark (the reception close at around 22:00)
Great breakfast, nice quiet location. Waterbed.
Quiet and friendly small town atmosphere. Sense of locality. Situation beside beautiful canal.
We had a large suite, separate bedroom and living room area, with TV, coach, small kitchen with all necessary appliances. Wonderful views over the river. Quiet and cosy. Breakfast was fantastic. The double bed was narrow, only 120 cm. Otherwise comfortable.
The proximity and easy access to my home city of Amsterdam but without all the hustle and bustle. Absolutely nothing!
No frills, well functioning Bar Menu = some more small warm dishes
It is a nice hotel but is in the middle of nowhere. By the time you pay 10 Euris cab fare each way and 10 euros for the half hour trip to visit the city center, you might as well say in a more expensive hotel in the city
Honestly I did not like this hotel at all, poor quality/very unfriendly man behind the counter. Elevator was not working. Poor service
Clean room. Restaurant and staff not geared up to coping with the number of guests in the hotel. Meals overcrowded, tables slow to be cleared and reset.
some where to sleep!! when there is no choice. During the time we stayed 5 nights and it was week days they did not change the sheets and for soap and shampoo we had to ask at night. But the employee are friendly may be they were ordered not to leave any soaps or clean the room. We had two rooms and it was like that and every time we were told that this is not happening again.
Staff attitude. Complimentary wlan (Wi-Fi). No room service, although staff allowed food to be taken to room. Changed decision at last minute on allowing groceries to be delivered, yet ended up ok in the end.
It's a pitty that the food in not in line with the rest of the hotel. The prices are too high for what you get. The menu is very dutch oriented.
When we arrived there were one large and two handtowels in the room. I indicated twice to staff that there where two people using the room. The first time an extra bath towel was provided. I assumed that the need for two bath and hand towels would have been communicated to the cleaning staff, especially since we had to use one hand towel as a non-slip mat before the shower unit. The staff in the restaurant were excellent. see comments above. The hotel is a business hotel and I assume younger persons use it for that reason. If my husband was on business he would use it and recommend it to others because he only wants a bed for the night.
fast check-in, pleasant front office staff, clean environment, comfortable rooms breakfast closed at 9:00 AM, which is too early if one tries to do a bit of early morning exercise beforehand. Fitness room exists, and was useful, considering it rained all morning, but it's too meak or modest of a fitness room.
the staff were friendly and very helpful. At breakfast the cold meats and cheeses on display should be covered.
Service, clean room, good breakfast.
i did not like anythink. for the price paid I'd expect also breakfast. Sheets were changed just once 1 seven days because I asked, otherwise they were not going to change.
Very small rooms, badly furnished. Hotel was very noisy.
I like the location as it is near station with direct access to Schiphol Not up to 4 stars! No airco, stuffy rooms
Free internet connection
It was at a very peaceful area close to a wonderful lake and close to the railway station, only five minutes walk from the hotel. Also the staff had been very very helpful as to how I will move around with the railway they printed me timeschedules for the trains, gave me maps etc. The rooms were perfect exept for the bathroom it was a little dark with a slight smell. But generally the cleaniness of the bathroom was good.
The restaurant! Nice variety of well-prepared dishes & very professional. Mold in the bathroom/shower. One of the first things I look for in a hotel.
problem with air condition, very hot
Gorgeous rural location, friendly staff and clean, comfortable room Food and drinks a little expensive and the dining room was a bit dark
The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was very good in the hotel restaurant. The best part of our stay was Tommie. He was a major factor in making our stay comfortable. He assisted us with directions and made several valuable suggestions. He was friendly, courteous and spoke excellent English.
We liked Bussum very much. We thought the hotel was good for our requirements. Enjoyed the breakfast. We would stay there again certainly. Wheelchair access was ok, but the doors into the hotel are difficult. Car Parking security - we noticed that there was evidence that cars are broken into by the station. Increased video / lighting would help.
Excellent quiet, small-scale hotel, perfectly situated next to a train station with frequent connections to Amsterdam. Nice rooms with all amenities. Friendly and accomodating staff. We have stayed there several times, and service remains on the same, very accomodating level.
clean shower the proximity of the railway
Central position in Holland No staff available for half an hour when we arrived, door open poor excuses why
Very friendly and helpful staff Glass panel near our room did not have a warning so I walked into it! No double beds for married people.
Very simple clean and tidy just exactly what is expected. A quiet room with a comfortable bed for a good nights sleep, followed by a simple straight forward breakfast. staff could be better trained to help customers.
Is a bit far from the Amsterdam about 35min by train, and far from the local shops 1km by foot, easy for visitors with a car.
Clean, the room was so quiet so I had one of the best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel! Nothing
Its position in relation to the railway station No
Very small room, not the same of the photos on booking. Very noysing, you can hear other custmers of the hotel speaking in theyr room. Not a good experiense.
Nice and relaxed atmosphere . Serving staff helpful and friendly ( we had a little toddler with us) My daughter found the bed matress to soft, but this only a little personal comment, because she enjoyed the rest of the hotel very much. I am a non smoker so I didn't like that it was allowed to smoke in the hotel lobby
Receptionist very helpful and friendly. Room clean and tidy No
free easy parking, room with balcony, good staff, terras in front of the hotel slept above the bar which was noisy
We liked just about everything at the hotel -- attractive room, free parking, excellent breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, plus all the usual cereals, breads, juice, fruit, cold cuts, etc., easy access to Amsterdam via train There was no air conditioning and unusually warm.
Nice and quiet place, easy access from the highway There was a plastic fork under the beds, but overall the room look clean. No hairdry facility...Breakfast relatively expensive, so we prefered to have it somewhere in the city
the comfort of the room and the space. It was all fine
The friendly and helpful staff and the quiet and peaceful location, plus only a short walk to railway station (which is the the best way to get to A'dam)
Good location close to station. Ideal for business in outer Amsterdam area and Hilversum area I felt that the price per room per night could be a little better value.
It is very well designed The hotel is a no smoking one, but unfortunately someone had smoked in the room, and having thick carpet and many curtains, it smells a lot. My husband is allergic, and could not sleep.
Not your standard hotel but just a great Villa with nice designed rooms in the middle of Hilversum. I stayed in the suite and it was beautiful and spacious New towels please.
This is a very comfortable small hotel.
very personal service, clean and comfortable room.our's had an enclosed balcony the stairs are very steep and with the dark carpeting makes descent difficult
De stijl van 't hotel, klein, gezellig en stijlvol ingericht. nee
excellent, very nicely decorated and a great breakfast in the morning - the surrounding area of Hilversum proposes some excellent restaurants and great shoppong
The hotel offers a homely feeling. The quality is excellent and the design interesting. The breakfast is very good. I'd happily return to VT.
Extremely comfortable bed and sensible duvet tog rating . Both bath and shower rooms were immaculate ; Good varied breakfast . No mirror in bedroom : a box of facial tissues would have been appreciated .
Nice surroundings and garden; homely villa; some negatives, but still very pleasant Backbreaking haul to the 2nd floor via a steep, narrow staircase with a heavy suitcase; a requested cheese omelet became a fried egg with molten cheese(..); top floor too hot (and it wasn't even summer); getting there requires perfect map-reading skills
Friendly staff, nice ambience No laundry facilities, no lounge, no restaurant, too expensive in light of the aforementioned
They had the decency to call and ask when I was arriving and arrange for me to get my key out of hours. Noise from outside when bar closed
Close to station, comfortable sized rooms., Nice shower Still building work being carried out in hotel, Could hear music from nightclub well into the early hours of morning, no air conditionion
Nice hotel, small but well-proportioned rooms. Comfy beds! Wi-Fi is a bit hit and miss but wired connection is fine (and all inclusive). Good location for bars, restaurants, station, etc As above, wi-fi reception (in some rooms?) not so great - but barely an issue given free use of cable for wired connection.
the room is very nicely designed and quite spacious. it feels very comfortable. there is no door to the bathroom and the glass door to the shower is fully transparent. it looks nice but I would suggest to make the glass door to the shower non-transparent as it would feel more comfortable.
Central location wireless signal is low, it is really hard to get it. so get a cable from reception. they turn of central heating during the day and night. so please be aware of that if you are staying in winter.
Staff very friendly. Overhead drop shower was excellent. Decor very good condition (only open 3 months though). Very handy for many restaurants (and bars). 5 min walk to Railway station. Bed very comfortable. Wireless internet. Decent lighting in room. Breakfast was in different hotel and not great. No air-conditioning (reflected in price) but leaving window open in rooms overlooking square made it noisy until late (music from clubs and people sitting out). No drawers in room.
We enjoyed the hotel and it's modern enviornment. The room was nice, clean, comfortable. I liked the modern bathroom and shower. It is close to Almere Central Station Food was very good. The bad thing was that there is a disco on the ground floor that was very noisy! I arrived too late to change the room.
Modern design, like Casa 400 in A'dam, but a bit more space. Each room has small coffee machine, two paper cups with tea bags each day, electric tea pot, TV, free wi-fi (with wire if needed). Very nice and silent hotel. One room had no safe at all. Another room had safe but it was broken. Placed in Almere (not sure if it is advantage or disadvantage).
pleasant reception staff; newish rooms, clean environment wifi still doesn't work at this hotel, although reception gives you a short cable with which to connect to the wired network access. Disappointing to note that the Mexican and Argentine restaurant on the 2nd floor closed recently. Breakfast at hotel Finn's 1st floor area is OK, although with fried eggs cold (not warmed). It needs a warming light or fixture.
Night club under hotel!! Very very loud music until circa 4am on Saturday night.
