The man at the front desk was pleasant and helpful
The bathroom, shower and laundry facilities are dingy. One bathroom area requires you to walk in the kitchen, past the washer and dryer. One is basically on an open rooftop with old, rickety amenities. Five floors and not enough bathroom or shower areas. Yes, they clean the areas, but these facilities are old, moldy and uninviting. Dingy and cringey are the words I use to describe them. Im not exaggerating. This is a basic amenity of any accommodation and Mikonos fails miserably. The hotel doesn't even have photos of these areas displayed on their page. That's a telltale sign. I wish I had taken photos as evidence but I was busy cringing.
For ￥９８０, it can`t be beat. This place is seriously no frills. I recommend it for the backpacking traveler. This is a step above using your backpack as a pillow behind Kentucky Fried Chicken dumpster.
I stayed in a shared males dorm room. There is no air condition or even a fan moving the air in there. You`re gonna get a little sweaty. This place is good for someone traveling alone who needs a place off the street to lay their head. The bunk is plywood with a folded up mattress pad to lay out that doesn`t fill the entire space. There is a pillow, no blanket. It`s so stuffy and warm that you wouldn`t want it anyway.
Our room was under the stairs. It was impossible for my husband to stand up straight as the ceiling was so low. There was a large amount of accumulated rubbish in the corridors and overflowing bins. The toilet smelt and the shower room was filthy.
The staff is lovely, even though the English is not that perfect, they still try and go the extra mile for you. The rooms in the 2nd floors are nice, go for those ones. The location is perfect!
The place needs a little update and a very good scrub from ceiling to floor
The gentleman at the reception is wonderful. The rooms are small but ok.
The showers need a decent scrub immediately. There's too much mold. Also the shower head needs to be changed.
