The Inn is historic and the food was good. The pub and music were fun. Service was good during dinner, but then afterwards, our waitress was not coming to the table and we had to order from the bar.
First and foremost, the owner, Elaine, made some very offensive remarks about guests from another country who had stayed with her. She also let he political views be known, which was inappropriate. She was rough around the edges, to say the least. Did not enjoy her whatsoever. She was off putting and strange. The property itself definitely can use some work, updates and a good cleaning. The siding on the front porch was filthy. It also needed a good sweeping/cleaning. There was office furniture piled up next to check in desk. My room had dangerous and outdated cords hanging over the bed connecting the ancient air conditioner and lamp to the outlets. Inn looked like it was remodeled in about 1984 and not touched since. The dinner food was very good, however, the fruit served at breakfast tasted like onions. Clearly, the chef had not cleaned the cutting board prior to cutting it. Overall, a strange experience.
We got the haunted room which lived up to our expectations. All the staff is friendly, knowledgable, the food excellant and the beds wonderful. All is clean and way more then we expected.
The staff was very friendly and tried hard to please us. However it felt odd to be the only people in a large building
The room was very small and outdated. The TV was small and old. There was no hairdryer. Even though we were the only guests in the Inn, they did not offer us a better room.
Hard to use electrical outlets
Loved our stay ! The staff was wonderful. Made us feel like family . Definitely will stay there again
