Good downtown location Every single thing is outdated and gross looking. Carpet has stains, a/c unit noisy and musty smelling, towels cheap and old. Rooms are tiny. Basically a budget oriented dump with a good location. Even the restaurant/bar was a dump. Didn't want to sit in the chair in my room as it looked like it was in a frat house for 10 years.
The entire staff was great but the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel seems a bit dated but it that didn't take away from our visit.
The location was awesome. Easy to walk around the city and see sights. The first time I stayed at a hotel that gave you shampoo and not conditioner. Mold in the shower. My neck still hurts from their overstuffed pillows Cheap itchy sheets
The place smells like a sewer. Not clean and not what you would expect. Then they hit you with New York and Chicago priced parking of $30.00 a night. I walked out and got another hotel. Not worth it.
Great location. Friendly and professional front desk workers. Restaurant inside the hotel was subpar and the hostess was classless and unprofessional. Rooms were clean but old and in need of updating. Only 3 elevators for a large hotel, and they kept breaking down causing delays all 3 days.
The staff was very friendly, accommodating and personable. Any requests that I made was handled promptly and efficiently. The hotel felt old and tired. The elevators were ill equipped to handle the amount of people that were at the convention.

The staff were courteous and helpful. Always smiling. The Bistro inside had great wings, the pool staff were wonderful. The front desk staff were accommodating. The location is right near Fountain Square, so walking distance from the buzz. The housekeeping staff did a great job, and went a step beyond. Just a wonderful time. The parking would be their only issue. It costs extra. If you use the valet service, its very exspensive. There is an above ground parking garage next door, only $10/night. The first night we didnt know that and parked on the Square in a below ground lot, that was $17/night. Otherwise, no complaints.
The nort tower rooms have been renovated and are nice. The hallways still need renovation. The hotel is conveniently located downtown and we could park next door. The South Tower rooms were disgusting. There were stains on the carpet, on the chair, in the tub! I complained and the staff immediately moved us to the North towoer, no questions asked.

Rooms were clean and it was close to a lot of things... Halls were a bit drab, music from the square was loud -it didn't bother us but older people may not like it. Probably should make sure guests are aware. Paying what we did ... Wifi should be free!!!
The staff was awesome and definitely took care of us! The location is great, right at fountain square within easy walking distance of many places. The valet parking charge was kind of high at $30

Overall, the room/bathroom were clean and quiet - bed was extremely comfortable; full length mirror in room; great lighting around bathroom mirror; rain shower head; complementary water bottle. If you forego full housekeeping (Make a green choice), there's a minimal credit to use at participating food/bev places in the hotel or get SPG Starpoints - good incentive, Westin! Little perks like that are nice.
Its in a convenient location if you are in town for business. Restaurants are within walking distance. The airport is a short drive. Staff didn't seem to care much about anything. The room didn't feel very clean. The money for the value is lacking.
It is joined by other shops and free to the public. Dangerous entry late at night. Witness homeless people cursing guests out as they waited for the casino shuttle that partners with Westin Hotel and degrading females. Deserves more security by the door in that area.
The location is ideal for downtown events. At 10 at night the lobby was loud and filled with smokey-smelling, loitering, loud people that had just come from Cincy Beerfest. I had reserved (a month in advance) AND confirmed (the day before) a king room with my wife on the night before valentines day, but they said they "only have doubles left", so obviously reservations mean nothing to them. After that major disappointment (especially for the high rate) we found the beds didn't even have fitted sheets, and the duvets used two sheets rather than covers, so both them and the mattresses were exposed. The beds were hard as rocks, luke warm water is the best you'll get, and we couldn't get out there fast enough. I'm sure they treat you right if you're a member, but I would never want to go there enough to become one. Never using Hyatt again. There are better downtown Cincy alternatives.
Everything, had my room ready as soon as I got there,room was beautiful and very comfortable,would definitely come back. There was nothing not to like..... Instead of the weather ,it's freakin cold in Cincinnati in January
I enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the actual worked well When we arrived we were informed that they only had a room with 2 twin gets even though I goofed this room two months I advance. I also completed an early check in on line further requesting a queen bed and a roll away. We arrived and not only got stuck with twin beds but no rollaway, our keys were notable to be made and we would have to move to another roomwith 2 twin beds on our third night bebecause the room we were in was booked for someone else. When we were escorted by a silent hotel employee to the room as we had no keys we arrived to a room with no toilet paper and a broken phone. Over priced

Overall look of the hotel was nice and makes you feel at home. The staff was helpful and upgraded my room when they were not able to find my reservation. The rooms are nice and my view was awesome. Having a hard time checking in due to the hotel failing to enter my reservation.
Didn't like that there was no notice that river view was extra until getting to hotel. Was not stated in cost when purchasing.
The sheets were very scratchy.

Front desk and other staff very kind and helpful . We really liked the hotel, very nice and comfy! Elegant too. Valet staff was no help at all. We didn't know what to do and they thought we should it seemed like. We assumed, as is the case at other hotels, they would take our car. We went inside to find out we had to drive all over the place to self park. That's not what we wanted. I don't know how the mix up happened but it wasn't pleasant. It was probably the concierge was the problem not the actual valet staff.

We loved the bar and restaurant. The food was excellent and the service extraordinary. The staff were uniformly courteous and friendly. Grand old hotel. Set the thermostat lower in our room on the 28th floor, but the temperature was unchanged 14 hours later.
Liked room but not view.... everyone is overly friendly View. Room service should be described better, that cheese plate was disgusting. Some of people were very pretigious
The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the location terrific. Very centralized location--easy to walk to area sites and restaurants. The wifi internet was extremely spotty and rarely worked which was disappointing and made working remotely difficult.
Location was perfect. Right inside of everything. Valet is great! The bed felt cheap and hard. Did not get any good sleep at all and you would think after driving 10 hours in the road that day it would be easy to sleep, but the bed was old as well as all of the furniture around.
Loved theroom, comfort and the bathroom. Also enjoyed lobby bar.

The Location is prime. Perfect for downtown Cincinnati. The staff was nice and quick about check-in and check-out. The bathroom was awesome. It was big and remodeled with a giant tub. The bedroom itself was not impressive. I expected a historic feel, but just got more of an old and musty feel instead. The comforter wasn't clean (had to brush it off before we could lay on it), and the room itself just didn't seem clean. There was also a sunlight which would have been fine, but when you looked up it was covered in dust and dirt.
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati and there was plenty of entertainment and restaurants located nearby. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel ultimately served its purpose as a place to sleep for the night. The furniture was a bit dated and the layout of the room lacked any real appeal. The pictures online and the four star rating seemed to be a bit exagerated. I would rate the hotel three stars overall.
I am rating The Hampton Inn. Really nice hotel. The Hampton Inn was a really nice hotel but it wasn't the hotel I reserved. I was looking forward to stay in The Cincinnatian because of the historic background and wasn't expecting at all not to be nofied in advance about their problem with hot water. We could have rescheduled our trip. They relocated us and it was a nice place (can't complain about it) but a modern hotel was not what we wanted.
The building, facilities, & staff were all very nice. Very minor things, but our bathroom TV remote battery was dead. Also a notice before arriving at the hotel that the water pump system was going to be being worked on & we would have no water from midnight until around 6 a.m would have been appreciated.
Cool building with brand new rooms. Modern lobby and design throughout hotel. Still in a 'soft' opening, so there are some things that need to be worked on. Shower drained back into the bathroom and elevators had filthy overhead lights.

Great hotel and was very clean. When i booked the room it said two queen or one king. So when we arrived i was informed that they had no king beds available. This needs to be a selection so you know what you are getting when you book a room.
Loved the fresh take on a hotel. The art was a fun experience, though I'd prefer some variety as it was all pop art. The decor was modern but still warm and fun. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. Several great upscale bars and restaurants steps away. The location left something to be desired if you want anything beyond great evening eateries or the theatre. No breakfast places around or any shopping minus Tiffanys or Macy's. It felt odd that difference sides of the sand city block can vary between lux and sketchy.

Art everywhere, bizarre delights sprinkled throughout. Great restaurant and right around the corner from Contemporary Arts Center. Wonderfully colorful staff.
Employees were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had to valet the car but that was because we were not sure about driving around downtown Cincinnati. The waffles at breakfast were tough.
Liked the room and bed. The staff was extremely helpful, they made the stay quite enjoyable as we were not familiar with the area. Breakfast was good with a friendly staff, again. Good location, within walking distance to quite a few venues. The view was of some rooftops, not the best but you are in the city. The shower was bad as the water got all over the floor when you opened door to step out. Water collected on the door edge and soaked the floor. The air temperature was hard to control with the thermostat. The light switches were confusing. I am all for saving water by not washing towels but how about a place to hang the towels, that would be helpful.
Clean, comfortable, most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Larger room than I expected, convenient location to visit UC. Once I actually got into the room, I was happy with everything. Some staff weren't as helpful or welcoming. Poor communication: I arrived at 10:00 am and asked if they had anything available yet. They told me they were fully booked and check in was at 11:00am. Reasonable, so I sat and waited in the dining room area across from the front desk. 11:15 comes around, nobody has said anything yet. I go up to the desk and ask for an update and they tell me nothing will be ready until 2:00pm. Essentially, I had been sitting there rather than walking the city. They took down my number and said they would call me as soon as something was ready. I left at 11:30 and had events at UC from 2-5:30, so I didn't come back to the hotel until almost 6, but nobody ever called me.
Room was comfortable, not too hot or too cold when we came in. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was HUGE with a tall shower. The website did not inform us we would have to pay for parking on site.

This hotel (and the Hampton Inn beside it) iis an incredibly creative use of.the Cincinnati Inquirer historical building, offering upscale accommodations at an affordable price im downtown.Cincinnati near the Reds ballpark and other venues Noise from the sliding glass bathroom door, alhough aesthetically pleasing and space-saving, are acoustically impractical, in my estimation.
Rooms were spacious, well-appointed & had comfortable beds. Check-In staff was courteous & helpful. We were traveling as a group of couples. We were told that their lounge/bar would be open until Midnight on Saturday. At 10:15 they were already "shut down". When we approached the staff about it, the bar tender was rude & the other staff offered suggestions of other bars outside of the hotel. We wanted a night cap in our hotel, which we were unable to get. They need to get their services/staffing issues worked out - or don't include all amenities at this time.

Quiet, large rooms, great bar/snacks, and breakfast is huge. Best part though are the extremely friendly employees. Prices are a bit high, though well worth it once you add the free breakfast, easy parking, etc
Always love happy hour! Drinks and heavy snacks in the evening were our dinner before the big game. Breakfast the next morning was a hit. Something for everyone. Beds were comfortable. Drury has everything we needed! Great price!

The man that checked us in was the rudest person I have ever dealt with trying to check into a hotel room. In his words "you didn't pay me, you paid a booking site, there's nothing I will do for you." And that's after I had to wait for him to get off his cell phone to talk to me.I could have stayed anywhere for the money I spent, and to get treated like that, you can bet I'll never be back. $165 for one night and still had to pay to work there. Friendly front desk people, free cookies, updated, comfy, 42 inch hdtv and DVD player, pool was ok, fitness room was three treadmills in a very small room. Overall was worth the extra money and drive being in northern Cincinnati.
Average quality for the money. No major problems. Quiet location - easy access. Easy check out. Not impressed on having to set up sofa bed for the kids. Would have expected 2 beds in the room as with many other motels - instead of one bed and one sofa bed. Also we had expected 2 rooms next to one another - instead we ended up down the hall - but at least on the same floor.

The location was very close to the interstate and within a good driving distance to many shops. The first night we were there, we discovered there was dried blood on the bed from a prior guest, and when I went downstairs to report this horrific discovery, the person at the front desk did not seem all that disturbed by my revelation.
A decent hot breakfast open for three hours each morning. Good Precor equipment in the small fitness room. Full size frig, microwave, two burner stove top, and divided stainless steel sink.. Enough plates, glasses, silverware, and cookware to make warming and eating a meal in the room feasible. Good pay washers and dryers available in the laundry. Good wi-fi service. Good chocolate chip cookies available 24/7. Good front desk staff that seemed very responsive to the small issues we had during our 8 day stay. The 'business center' had outdated computers and a printer that didn't work. Location is convenient for driving off 75/275, but not much of anything within walking distance.
Very large rooms with beds/pillows that could not have been better. Full kitchen, and a huge tv. Indoor pool was very well maintained and was at the correct remperature. A hot tub would have been nice, but I'm really not complaining.

We felt that this hotel had a lot of great amenities for the cost, and our stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was awesome and the hotel staff was always friendly. We were placed in a room near the lobby, so the sounds of people were pretty loud in the morning when we were trying to sleep in.

The room was clean. Continental breakfast was about as I would have expected. We were just there to sleep for the night. That's all we needed.
The location was within 20 miles of every attraction in Cincinnati. The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a lot of different things to choose from. The wifi was very good in my room. I was even able to stream Netflix. The pool was nice too. There were several places to eat within a few miles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm a smoker and there is no smoking rooms at all. Of course just about every hotel anymore is smoke free but I'm not the only smoker that travels. There were several others outside lighting up with me.
Nearly everything about out stay was perfect. The linens and carpets looked new and clean, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and had four pillows each which was great. The hot breakfast was an added bonus. I had to take away a star because of the location of our room in the hotel. We almost asked to be moved after the first night, but by that point were we settled in and it wasn't worth the hassle. Our room was located on the second floor right on the balcony overlooking the front entry and breakfast area. Breakfast starts at 6am and the waffle machine has an obnoxious alarm, not to mention all the people coming and going and kids being loud kids. This made for rude awakenings every morning, and even thoughout the night. The room would have been great for heavy sleepers, but not so much for anyone who has functioning hearing. Generally I don't hold the hotel accountable for noise issues because it's other guests causing them, but in this case the issue was completely due to poor structural planning .

Rooms was very spacious and very clean. The morning breakfast is a good way to start the day. We like the location due to it being away from a downtown area and was quiet. Location has easy access to the greater Cincinnati area and the out lying areas as well.
As above. Nice area, easy to get to. Friendly. Jacuzzi was not working. Pillows where like rock, lost much sleep. But rest of room was nice. Breakfast was poor expecially eggs and bacon. Banana's highly bruised. Apples, orang juice, coffee fine. Had better breakfasts at lower priced Hotels. As for the next two questions regarding recommendation. Perhaps if those things mentioned here improve.

Nothing, not to like. It is located in restaurant heaven and near all sorts of shopping. I did not use the bistro so can't comment on that. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was pricey for my needs. I was traveling alone and stayed only one night. I could have been comfortable in something a little less expensive. It was chosen for me because of the location.
The hotel is new, fresh, well appointed. Breakfast food appealing & tasty. Service A+. Beds fabulous. One sister was caught in the elevator; hotel engineer, front office mgr.,sales mgr., chef reacted with professionalism and concern. Thank you all! Somehow the directions to the hotel didn't work . We definitely missed something and had to resort to a phone's GPS after wandering through neighborhoods.
The hotel stay was very good. I was disappointed in paying $6.00/day parking fee for an unsecure lot. There was no attendant monitoring the lot to determine who was a guest and who was not. I adamantly feel this fee should be reimbursed.
