Pros: The owners were both very kind and welcoming. Perfect location, great pool, wonderful clean rooms.
Cons: Shower was a bit on the small side and bed was firm for my taste
At Manatee Bay Inn, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Lovers Key State Park. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby kayaking, and free perks include continental breakfast and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Beautiful, clean rooms with a fantastic view and a nice layout. Can't think of how they'd improve it.
Pros: The cleanliness and maintenance
Pros: Everyone was friendly and nice, prompt, and professional.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a bar or restaurant on location, but the front desk had info and menus of some local places that delivered.
Pros: Room size, courteous staff, pool, robes provided, beach access, complimentary coffee in lobby is excellent quality
Cons: Age/wear of room, bed was uncomfortable, wet bar sink did not work
Pros: The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable. We had almost a full kitchen, two full baths and a hot tub. Balcony and free wifi were available as well. They also provide free bikes.
Cons: Cleanliness was somewhat disappointing based on prior experiences

Pros: We loved the one bedroom villa with the full kitchen and amazing views of the beach and marina. The resort had everything you would want right on property. Loved that you could take the bus/trolley to the downtown area of Ft Myers beach.
The bellman were the most helpful and nice guys! Any questions we had they were more than accommodating.
We went fishing with Mike and LOVED every minute of it. We did the back bays and it was perfect. The waves are not big in the back bays so you do not need to worry about sea sickness.
We also did the dolphin wave runner tour with Garret that was on property. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken. They let you go fast and also bring you right up close to the dolphin and manatees.
I would recommend this resort for people traveling with kids.
Pros: My mother and step father booked a vacation here and we drove down from St Petersburg to see them. We only stayed at the resort for 2 days/1 night. We had a wonderful time and the resort was amazing. The room was clean, comfortable and very inviting. The staff was very friendly, and attentive. I have worked in the hospitality industry as a security manager for several years and I was extremely impressed with the pink shell. I will be returning here for another stay in the future.
Pros: The location is perfect. It's nice that the umbrellas and chairs are included. The three pools were nice, too, so that families, children, and adults can have their own space. Neil, a security guard there, was extremely personable. They let you stay after check-out to enjoy the amenities which is great! The main lobby is beautiful. I loved the giant checker board and the fact that there was an arcade.
Cons: The room was pretty expensive for what it was. The patio and view was great and the kitchen for extended stays is nice, too. But for a one night stay, it was pretty pricey. Not to mention that there were 3 of us, so we had to pay $17 for one breakfast (which was a great buffet, but our third person should have been included, especially for what we paid for the room). It was a little confusing navigating the 3 different buildings, especially when first arriving and parking. I wish there were some pool toys available, but it seemed like they tried to charge you for everything they could.
Pros: We had a wonderful time as a couple. Our sweet had 2 balconies overlooking the ocean and we enjoyed sitting on our lanai watching the sunset. Service was excellent! We will definitely be coming back with our little ones!
Cons: It took a while to get a hold of someone at the reception desk when we had a question. But that was it.
Pros: The staff was the friendliest and most professional across the board.
Cons: Private loud company party at the pool.
Pros: Our stay at the Pink Shell was top notch. Wonderful staff, great rooms and good value. We have a young family and stayed in the Captiva Villas, perfect set-up. Will be coming back in the future!
Pros: Rooms were great, views were beautiful, friendly staff! And breakfast was free & very tasty!
Pros: Everthing about the hotel. was great. i want to take the mattress home with me
Cons: it was cloudy
Pros: Loved, loved this location. The resort was top notch. I loved the oceanfront villa's. The one we stayed in was 1 bedroom, with full kitchen, washer/dryer. The breakfast buffet at Jack's was including each morning. Wonderful assortment of all breakfast items. Beach chairs and umbrella were definitely a plus! They had activities going on during the day (although we did not partake) we were there just to relax. The walk into the pier and downtown area was not too far. Maybe about 15 minutes on the beach. Beautiful sunsets, great accommodations overall!
Cons: The coffee ~ was a bit bitter tasting. Otherwise top notch!
Pros: Paddle boards and kayaks are included. Wristband gets you everything. No need to carry a wallet.
Pros: Friendly staff, location, sun.............
Pros: Overall very nice
Cons: Beach could have been cleaner
Located in a playful and friendly atmosphere at the exclusive northern tip of Fort Myers Beach, on 1,500 feet of sugary white sand, Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina is the only resort among all Fort Myers Beach Hotels where every studio, villa, and condo faces the Gulf of Mexico. providing every guest with a sweeping beachfront view.
Pros: My room had a great view, and I was close to the beach. I had lots of room to spread out and even invite friends over.
Cons: The ac in my living room didn't work at all, so that room was very hot. Both ac units were SO noisy! The rooms felt clammy. I wish there had been an onsite place to eat breakfast, but there were places nearby. It's just that the construction made it tough to get to places easily. One of the pools was not available, so we we couldn't find chairs near the operating pool.
Pros: This is the second time we stay at the Neptune and we LOVE it! It's very clean and bright in the rooms. Love having all the amenities of home with the living room and kitchen.. They do such a great job cleaning the place every day. The beach is AMAZING and the pools are too. The Plumeria tree was in bloom...what a bonus! Mmmmmm
Pros: Very relaxing stay. Nice Room and service. Employees were very courteous to us. Easy access to beach.
Cons: Just couldn't stay longer.
Pros: The rooms were very clean, both in looks and smell. The tiled floors made it easy to keep things clean even when there was a lot of traffic in and out of the room. The room was very spacious and had a small kitchen area that was very convenient.
The pools were pristine and a nice alternative to the beach. There were ample beach chairs available and clean beach towels were available at the desk without having to "check them out". There was a nice mix of sun and shade available by the pools and where the patio met the beach.
The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. There were many very nice restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
When you stay at The Neptune Resort, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Lovers Key State Park. Freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks, and guests can keep active with onsite parasailing. Rooms feature bonuses like sofa beds, refrigerators, and microwaves.
Pros: Large rooms and balconies, separate pools for adults and children. Water sports.
Cons: Pool didn't open until about 9. Far from the action but I appreciated that so no bar noise.
Pros: The hotel is away from all the bustle of the "main drag" on Estero Island, and relatively quiet. Clean, comfortable room with a great view of the Gulf. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions I had about good restaurants, etc. Elevator in my building, good since I was on the top floor.
Cons: Pool closed at dusk; would have liked it to be open until later as it would have been nice to have been able to relax poolside in the evenings. Stove top in the room but no oven, no breakfast or even coffee provided in the mornings.
Cons: Room had some bugs in bathroom and kitchen areas
Prices a little high for quality and size

Pros: Great location close to a lot of good places to eat and drink.
Cons: Wish it had a view

The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Matanzas Restaurant, which serves seafood and is open for lunch and dinner. Rooms feature bonuses like kitchens and washers/dryers, along with balconies and pillowtop beds.
Pros: Waterfront, All Rooms have beach view. Great location.
Walking distance from the peer and all restaurants.
No room service for food.
Although the chairs and umbrellas on the beach are rented by another company different that the hotel I think the hotel should encourage the rental company to update the wooden chairs that they have to offer. They are really old and very small.
Pros: Clean. Friendly staff. Perfect location. Close to pier and restaurants. Right on the beach!
Pros: My family and I loved everything about this hotel. Great location, clean, yummy continental breakfast, and you can't beat the ocean views from every room. We DEFINITELY plan on returning.
Cons: Our only disappointment was leaving.

Cons: We passed 4 or 5 times to find the hotel, it was difficult to spot it. They told us that they were not allowed to put a sign on the road.
AC was right beside the bed and it was very noisy. No fan in a bathroom which was unusual in a hotel.
Pros: My husband and I were in the area for the weekend. Good location for us. Also liked that there was a free breakfast and Wi-fi. We'd stay again.
Cons: We requested a quiet room. We didn't exactly get one. They put us at the end of a hall where there is door to the outside. It banged until quite late with guests going in and out. Thank God for earplugs!
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff polite
Cons: Room was very hot. Very uncomfortable entire time.

Cons: The only problem with the room was that the beds seemed old and sunk in the middle.

Pros: Convenient walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The room was clean and the receptionist was very nice and accommodating to our later afternoon flight departure. Nice having the ground level showers to use when returning from the beach.
Cons: The early morning food service trucks were slightly annoying.

Pros: The location is great. Our unit was very clean and had wonderful views. The balcony is such a plus. It added extra space as well as ambience for looking out over the water. We had only planned to stay for one night and extended our stay to 3 nights.

Pros: The dock on a small bay with tiki hut roofs and tables was fantastic to sit in the evenings. Couple blocks from the beach and many restaurants in the area make this a good location.
Cons: This is obviously a motel from the 50s or 60s but we'll maintained and clean. Room was just right but it had TWO beds which made it crowded. Maybe I'm living too much in the past, but IMHO, way over priced, but is comparable with other properties in the area.

A boat dock is available to all guests at the Motel Shipwreck. There is also a picnic area with BBQ grills, as well as on-site laundry facilities. Bowditch Point Park is 1 miles from the motel. Estero Bay Preserve State Park is 2 miles away.
Cons: Construction late morning after arrival in hallways. It was very loud and no warning.
Pros: The proximity to the beach
Staff is pleasant
Cons: No music after 8pm on Friday night or after 5pm on Saturday
Outrigger really needs a bigger pool or a second one
Pros: Nice weather and location
Cons: The ice machines location
Pros: Loved the oceanfront suite, great view, full kitchen(not used though),room comfortable, balcony with fabulous sunsets, chairs and lounger, 2tv's, Staff very nice and helpful. Sent us champaign for our second honeymoon. Tiki bar very friendly, great view of sunsets. Will go again.
Cons: Was never informed that there was construction going on right next to our room. They claimed they sent an email out to everyone, which I never got, yet I was even there in person a couple weeks prior to our stay to upgrade our room and at that time there was no construction going on and was never told there would be. We have a 3mo. that kept being woken up with all the noise.
No cable the fist night. No internet the entire stay until the couple of hours the last day. Was told it was an island wide problem, yet the resort next door had working internet during the time they did not???
The toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down for 30 sec. There were ants all over the kitchen.
When I notified the staff about all these issues, rather than providing good customer service I was treated like, "oh well, nothing we can do about it" and got the feeling like I was being treated without respect because I booked through a deal site and not directly as if that didn't make me a true guest. Not once did any of them even apologize for the conditions.
I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Ever!
Pros: The Tiki Bar was incredible, all made possible by the bartenders...Kimberly, Jim and Kevin. They were a blast!
The patio was a great place to group up and re-live memories.
Pros: We enjoyed our stay, the beach was a short walk from our room. The sunsets were so beautiful!
Cons: Wish there was a microwave in room
Pros: The beach was absolutely gorgeous and so weren't the facilities. For an old building it has been taken care of wonderfully. The beach, Tiki bar, pool, breakfast buffet all great! No complaints!!
Would return without hesitation!
Cons: The only thing I thought was weird is the fact that the toilet paper holder in our room was so low to the floor that the paper hung on the floor, but for an older building that's not too bad.
Pros: They always seem to want to make sure your stay is enjoyable and worry free.
Cons: Lack of late night activities.
Pros: Beach front had pool and restaurant
Cons: The rooms were out dated factily was old
Pros: Great place all a round!
Pros: The efficiency room was nice with a suitable kitchenette and very nice bathroom. Would definitely consider staying there again.
Cons: Double beds could be improved to queen or single king option. We understand they will be renovating this fall.
The Outrigger Beach Resort on beautiful Fort Myers Beach exudes old school warmth and relaxation. Fun and family-friendly, this beachfront classic taps decades of hospitality know-how to delight its loyal guests. An unwavering dedication to comfort, value and quality is reflected throughout the resort, from its 144 comfortably furnished guest rooms and studios with kitchenettes as well as two casual restaurants to its expansive white powdery beach, where guests collect seashells, sip pina coladas and can listen to live music at the Tiki Bar while watching dolphins frolic in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Pros: The bed was great. Rooms were clean and comfy.
Cons: Rooms were small. I wanted to upgrade to a beach front, but realized the water is really about a three block walk from the back of the hotel. Pincher's food mediocre. The bucket drinks were terrible. Too sweet. Looks like a lot of locals hang out in the Tiki Bar. Lots of other better hotels.
Pros: This was exactly what we were looking for...a larger than expected room (2 Double Beds), large balcony overlooking a HUGE, white sand beach, BIG TV, tile floor, sparkling clean pool with plenty of chairs & tables to accommodate everyone, immaculate grounds, wonderful staff that would go out of their way to make your stay better, live music nightly during happy hour, great food & drinks at Pinchers, location was excellent with a CVS across the street and a 7-11 two doors down, restaurants within a 5 minute stroll, picture perfect sunsets, clean beach. This "gem" of a property is located between the high rise condos and truly felt cozy and accommodating to my family. We will definitely be coming back
Pros: We will be back! Love the location and convenience.
Cons: Service at the restaurant can and should be improved.
Pros: proximity to the beach
Inside the room was fine.
Cons: Look of the building -- it looks old and not different than any cheap motel.
Front desk attendant - Not friendly, not welcoming.
Beach front - there was stagnant water between hotel and the beach, which produced a very bad odour.
Pros: Location and beach
Cons: Palmetto bugs were able to come right in with gap in the door.
Pros: Not much
Cons: We got stuck in a poolside/barside room with a band that had a sound system that was more appropriate for Yankee Stadium. We were told that they would quit by 8:00 PM. The desk clerk who tod us this lied - the band finally stopped a bit after 9:00, and only then because it started to rain on them. It was deafening inside our room, which we had booked for one night to celebrate our 44th anniversary. We would never go there again.
Pros: Location and amenities
Pros: This hotel is an older three story rooms around a pool design. It is about six miles south of the entrance to Ft. Myers Beach. This keeps you away from busiest part of Fort Myers Beach and close to southern attractions including Lovers Key State Park. This hotel includes a Pinchers Crab Shack with both indoor seating and a very nice open-air Tiki Bar right by the pool.
Cons: The draft beer selection in the Tiki Bar was very limited and during my stay only included two choices: Yuengling and Miller Lite. A broader variety and draft craft beer choices would add to the attraction.
Pros: Food was very good. Room was nice - nothing too fancy, but well kept.
Pros: We enjoyed walking along the sandy beach,Then relaxing for a meal at the tiki.
The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast in the restaurant.
The pool was fun, also enjoyed the exercise room.
Cons: rained while we were down there in florida, not the wyndham's fault, We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham.
although they were doing some kind of construction at the hotel, they were all very nice.
Pros: The king sized bed was very comfortable and it was a short walk to the beach. The tiki bar was convenient too.
Cons: The door handle was loose and so was a screw on the lock.
Pros: The beds were unbelievable! Wish we had one like it at home. The rooms were very clean the entire stay, beautiful location. Convenient gas station and shOppenheimer plaza within walking distance. Will come back!!

The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, and guests can also take advantage of a fitness center. Pinchers Grill Room, one of 2 restaurants, serves seafood and is open for breakfast and dinner. 2 bars/lounges and a poolside bar are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
