Host is very friendly and accommodating Hostel, with basic amenities.overall Have a pleasant stay. Thanks
Local color and culture, a real eye opener for western dudes like me, really enjoyed it. The bycicle taxis and jeep rides are really great. The lady of the house was real helpful too, took us to the airport on our last day. Looking forward to visiting again.
Everything you need is here, if you want better, it would cost much more. We made ourselves at home and made a friend. The place is alright.
It's small cosy hostel. It's one family that runs small business and they are really really kind. Trust me when I say that you get the atmosphere like in your own home. P.S. They cheese toasties are amazing. Definitely recommend
I’m really conflicted about writing this review in the first place because I got the feeling that this was a one off and hasn’t happened before but I just wanted to warn travellers in case this happens again so that you have a point of reference. I had my passport and wallet attempted to be stolen by the hostel owner’s son. When I arrived at the place I pretty much went straight to bed, and the only other person in the room was a guy who was passed out, I assumed he was another traveller. When I woke up in the morning no one was in the room so I got up to brush my teeth and wash my face in the bathroom that’s attached to the room. While I was doing this, I heard someone come into the room, so I went out and saw the room door was open but still no one in the room. I figured that the other person staying in the room had come back to grab something. I didn’t think much of it and went back into the bathroom to finish off my morning routine. When I came back out I realised that my pouch was missing off my bunk bed, ofcourse I shouldn’t have left it there in the first place but the hostel was empty so I wasn’t on high alert. I ran downstairs and found the guy sitting outside the house, still within the main gate. When I confronted him about it he denied it but was acting really shifty. I started to freak out and asked the hostel owners daughters to help me. I started crying and told them to keep the money but please give me back my passport, and then I threatened to call the police. The girls woke their mom up and eventually one of the girls found my pouch in the other room, while the mom apologised. I really don’t know what to think of this. The robbery was so badly executed that this must have been the first time he has done this, on the other hand this experience could have very easily been a lot worse for me had he hid my stuff better, I had a flight to catch first thing in the morning so this could have led to me missing that flight.
The owner and her daughters are very polite.
It is in a residential area and except a 7eleven there's nothing there. It's ok if you don't want to stop in Manila and you have only to sleep there but it is not really an hostel. It's a private house with a room with 6 bedrooms and a small bathroom without toilet paper and hot water. No bed sheets but the bed is clean.
