This place is a Marmite stop! I thought it very good; great location in the town, lovely relaxing garden, the room had everything you need and it all worked (fridge/kettle/shower/comfortable bed etc). Relaxing place, staff leave you to yourself.
[A place of character. It quite basic, so many people would prefer more luxury, but I loved it.]
Nice and quiet place in centrum of city
Perfectly located just off the main square in its own quiet courtyard garden (with mature olive and citrus trees) and only 3 minutes walk from the dock. A helpful e-mail with directions and a warm welcome from the host (who had left the key for me on arrival after 10 pm & several hours late). Large numbers of shops, cafés and restaurants within 2 minutes' walk. Motorbike could be parked just outside the gate. Straightforward accommodation, with A/C, kettle, TV, fridge. Own table and chairs outside the door, as well as others in the shade. Just what was needed.
Easy to find from the port, it was sign posted which was fantastic. It is dated and basic but very good for the budget savvy traveler. We even had a kettle and a large terrace to have self catered breakfast. Very quiet and spacious property with greenery, even tho in the old town.
The beds were very firm.
We had booked last minute for 1 night due to a ferry cancellation so its location near the port and restaurants was fantastic. I would not have wanted to stay more than 1 night though. As a 1 night stay waiting for a ferry I would do it again
Although the room was clean it had in ground dirt such as dirty grout and dirty corners. The room smelled musty when we went in and I was glad I had my mosquito plug as there were lots of mosquitos in the room
