Stayed in room 4. Spectacular. Beware for light sleepers. The train frequently passes all night. Did not bother me particularly. Also if you're sensitive to morning light, bring an eye mask. Would have been fantastic if the hotel had supplied those for this room. There is a super skylight but starting at dawn the room is lit up & was a bit of a bother for me. Bed was great. Very clean except the top of the refrigerator. The Apple tv was a little difficult to figure out at first. A cheat sheet would be helpful. Has a fully stocked kitchen & the ice cubes to fit perfectly with my husband's glass of whiskey. Seating was also comfortable.Location was really good. Parking lot a block away for a $20 overnight. Very convenient. Was a wonderful experience. They left us a personal note & a birthday gift too.Thank you!
We understand due to historical/size nature of the building & other clauses they are not required to have a fire escape or exit lights. It would have made us feel more at ease though of an exit sheet printed in the room & a second escape option if the stairwell was impassable. Lit exit signs in stairwell is recommended as there are many & steep. A small movable step would be a nice touch for the entrance to the bathroom. A better photograph could be chosen for the art. It looked like this was taken at a frat party with the cheap plastic light cover. Just saying as the room is expensive, the decor should match.
Great location and really cool decor. Even had a record player with a sampling of vintage records.
Didn’t realize there was no house keeping. And the room was incredibly dry. Bathroom had a musty smell they may have been fighting, but the little humidifier placed in the room was no match for the air. Eyes and throat hurt every morning.
The space is absolutely beautiful. I don’t think I realized how much it was like staying in a real apartment— kitchen, living space, etc. it was gorgeous!
Suggestions would be to leave guests a list of nearby food shopping, wine etc so it may be easier to figure out where to get goodies to cook with. Other than that, can’t complain!
