Location. Kaanapali Alii is located within the Kaanapali Resort in Kaanapali, Hawaii. The shops and the small whaling museum of the Whalers Village are 4 blocks away. Historic Lahaina, with its restaurants and nightlife, is less than 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) from this condominium resort.
Property Features. Maui's mist covered mountains rise due east of the Kaanapali Alii. To the west, the Pacific Ocean's azure waters lap onto the golden sands of Kaanapali Beach, consistently named as one of America's best beaches. The heart of this condominium resort is its palm-studded children's pool area, which contains the fitness center and an entertainment pavilion with barbecue grills. For rest and sunbathing, adjustable chaise lounges ring a stone deck. The beach beckons across the Kaanapali boardwalk, which runs the length of the beach and connects neighboring resorts.
An activities desk can assist guests with various bookings, including diving, parasailing, and dinner cruises. A seasonal Kid's Club provides children with vouchers good for complimentary activities and discounts. Three lighted tennis courts allow for night play. Pros: This place is beautiful... almost heaven-like. The pools are separated into mini pools so you can hang out by yourself or with your own group that gives you the feeling of you own the entire pool. The garden is just beautiful. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Cons: Housekeeping is not very thorough sometimes, but still gets an A-. Not too thrilled about having to pay $30/night for valet parking. And feeling obligated to tip them every time we need to get our car or have it parked. The resort fee of $40/night should include valet parking.
At Montage Kapalua Bay, you'll have access to onsite snorkeling, surfing/boogie boarding, and kayaking. The outdoor pool provides a splash of fun, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in sports massages, body wraps, and body scrubs. Offering ocean views, Sunset Patio serves American cuisine and is open for lunch. There are 2 poolside bars and 3 bars/lounges at this luxurious property, along with in-room conveniences like kitchens and washers/dryers.
Pros: We went on our honeymoon and had a great time. Nice and private
Pros: Amazing service
Pros: The space, the unnoticeable but well prepared luxury and services. Cleanness, location, choice of programs, overall hospitality.
Pros: Clean and uodated facilities and room. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The on site seaside cliff is spectacular.
Cons: Beach area was nice and secluded but small.
Pros: There is simply no better location in Maui
Cons: Activity concierge was not really ahead of its game
Pros: Stephen the valet set the tone from the moment he opened my wife's car door, escorted us to check-in, and down to our pool terrace room. His courtesy and hospitable attitude was echoed by the front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping staff. Comfortable King bed room included a chaise lounge, desk, bench at foot of bed, huge LED TV and spa bath. In room coffee/tea and fridge for our own snacks/drinks. Clean clean clean. Excellence and luxury throughout. Amazing shore, pool areas, walking trails... Peaceful location above the fray of the more populated costal areas -- but only about a 15-minute ride to Lahaina with its lively stores, restaurants, and harbor activities, We know where we will be staying on Maui. Bravo!
Pros: Large well-appointed rooms...gorgeous beach.
Concierge team was excellent, especially Shelly.
Pros: Friendliness of staff, club floor with lounge access, quality of food, comfort of room, ultr cleanliness of room, luxury of hotel
Pros: Food was excellent.
Pros: Amazing service! Perfect for our honeymoon with exceptional service, great location, beautiful ocean front grounds.

The hotel is wonderful. Perhaps you need to marketing better the bay with the turtles after having created a ladder to access it!
Pros: Swimming in the bay with the turtles, the view from the condo B23 and the garden in front off
Cons: The access to the sea is for very athletic people. Then the front Desk could be more helpful!
Situated next to the clear ocean waters of Honokeana Bay, Condos at Napili Point features two oceanfront pools. Apartments feature oceanfront views and free WiFi. Select apartments provide an ocean view at Napili Point Condos. Featuring a balcony, each apartment provides a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV and an en suite bathroom. Pros: The hotel had a very old-world charm to it without being run down. Rooms were spacious. The pool was very clean and private even though it was a two minute walk to front street in Lahaina. Nicely situated. Wish were could have stayed longer.
At The Plantation Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Kaanapali Beach. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Rooms at this Victorian hotel feature bonuses like washers/dryers and refrigerators, along with balconies and DVD players.
Pros: We stayed to the Mahana to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, without kids. The staff was very helpful throughout the week. Upon check-in, they gifted us chocolates and a bottle of wine for our anniversary. A very sweet touch! Our condo was beautiful with a full size kitchen. Coffee and toiletry amenities included. Daily maid service was awesome. Loved having a washer and dryer in the condo. Beautiful views out of the floor to ceiling windows in the living room, bedroom, and lanai. Pool area was very nice (not too crowded) and everything is within walking distance! Saw sea turtles from our lanai. There are no other properties so close to the ocean.
Cons: Nothing- We will bring the whole family next time.
Pros: The views here are world class. If I was a troll, I would have posted "1 star, ocean is too loud, couldn't sleep", but honestly, it's been such a dream spot. Plenty to do right here, and not a far drive from the rest.
Hugging a quiet stretch of golden sand, Aston Mahana at Kaanapali is a tranquil tropical retreat that takes full advantage of its beautiful Kaanapali Beach setting. Designed with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private lanai (balcony), all oceanfront studios and suites make you feel as if you’re floating above the Pacific.
Pros: The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating, and generous. We loved the warm, family friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The Easter activities were particularly fun for our children.
Cons: No custom omelette or fresh waffle station at breakfast.
Pros: I almost love everything - the breakfast, the pool, the beach, the classy atmosphere, the birds, etc. I want to mention, in particular, the staff at the breakfast. They treated us so well, especially Ludi.
Pros: Wish I was still there. I left my camera charger in the room. They shipped it back to me. Loved it and would stay again if I can.
Cons: Lots of hidden fees. Overpriced food and drinks. They would not give me a complete bill when I checked out. Cost to park my vehicle!
Pros: Nice room, cleanly, beach front, nice pool area and not too bad a price for the area...being close to Lahaina was great!
Cons: The hotel room we stayed in was a bit of a ways from the lobby and we had to walk through a row of shops to get to the front, but towards the end it wasnt that bad being away from commotion. The breakfast was expensive for what was being offered. It wasnt bad, just not worth $30/person. Parking was $18/day which hurt after we were there for so many days.
Pros: Top shelf overall.
Cons: The beach. Too much coral and rock.
Pros: The view was stunning, and the amenities top notch.
Cons: That I was unable to stay longer.
Pros: The design of the resort: the pools, the waterfalls, the wildlife lawns, etc. The staff are consistently nice and patient, the shuttle service within Ka'anapoli area, the size of the rooms. Compares to other resorts in the area such as Marriott and Westin, Hyatt's rate is very reasonable about average of $350/night.
Cons: Son'z restaurant food was terrible for 5-star, fine-dinning categorization. The popcorn ceilings in the rooms can be upgraded. It has no beach - we'd have to walk further the Marriott resort for the beach. Hyatt should do a better job enforcing the no-smoking policy on floors designated as non-smoking floors, it's never pleasant to be out on lanai and having to deal with someone next to your unit smoking up a storm.
Pros: It was a nice $200 a night hotel. Unfortunately I paid $600 a night
Cons: The valet took 15 minutes to get our car and I had to ask twice to get the car. Two of the three elevators were broken so we eventually carried out bags down 5 flights of stairs after waiting 10 minutes. The bartender used his hands to put ice in people's glasss.
Pros: room service was awesome...food outstanding. Front desk personnel were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Went to Japengo for dinner...sat us in the lounge area...even though the lanai was ready for seating and to catch the sunset...were told it wasn't open yet although hours of operation stated 5:30...sat with our backs to the water and couldn't see the sunset through the bar...after 10 minutes about 20 Japanese tourists were seated in the restaurant. felt shunned.
The floor/carpet was dirty in our room (201). Nasty stains (by the nightstands and throughout the floor) we wore slippahs in the room! Coming from Honolulu, expected more. We were on the second floor and couldn't sit on our lanai since the people next door were out there smoking cigarettes and it smelled disgusting. For $400/night felt ripped off!
Also feel parking should be a couple dollars a day...not $16! Then an additional $30 hotel fee???? Hyatt residence club employees were shoving the "timeshare" experience down our throats! Didn't spend that kind of money to try to be persuaded to purchase anything.
Pros: * People/service was great!
* View of ocean from room was wonderful
* always restocked amenities everyday
* very clean bathrooms, room, lobby, etc.
* Food was very good
Cons: Everything was overpriced, but we were in Maui, and Hawaii is expensive ... getting there is only the beginning when it comes to spending $$$$

Pros: Breakfast is nice (tons of fresh fruit), great beach access, well maintained facilities, quiet, family friendly.
Cons: No AC, paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbors snore (or worse), a little light on amenities (no TV, Wifi is slow and flaky), cellphone signal is bad (AT&T) although that isn't their fault. They call themselves boutique, but i'd call them barebones.
Pros: Loved the location! Beach RIGHT there with view of Molokai and of Lani! Really like no AC, no TV.
Just 3.2 mi (5.1 km) from the airport, The Mauian - Boutique Beach Studios on Napili Bay puts you within a 10-minute drive of Kapalua Beach and D.T. Fleming Beach Park. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, and hiking/biking trails, snorkeling, and surfing/boogie boarding are nearby. Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with lanais and free WiFi.
Pros: The staff at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Kaanapali was professional, courteous, sympathetic, and attentive. They did a great job in resolving the issue that Getaroom.com [which Kayak.com outsourced to] created.
Cons: I'll have to think twice when making a reservation through Kayak.com. When I made my reservation, Kayak.com outsourced the reservation through some 3rd party vendor that I had never heard of before...Getaroom.com. I should have trusted my gut instinct and not gone thru either. When I arrived at the Westin, the staff informed me that I had no reservation on file. So I called Kayak.com, whose automated voicemail said they were closed. Fortunately, I was able to get in touch with Getaroom.com, but their staff had me wait over the course of one hour! The customer service rep from this online vendor kept putting me on hold for 15 minutes at a time. It was unprofessional and amateur at best. They said they had my reservation and that they sent it to the Westin. Yet the Westin never received it until an hour and a half after numerous attempts to get Getaroom.com to act on getting the propper email file sent. I was so tired from the ordeal that I was over the whole booking through Kayak.com. Beware.
Pros: I saw reviews about the spa in travel & leisure magazine. And it and the staff met expectations. They were amazing. Also, the hotel itself is beautiful!!
Cons: The restaurant staff and the guys selling the Maui Jim sunglasses need some training on customer service. They were pretty rude. I was able to avoid the wait staff by eating else were but the towel sunglasses guys I had no choice.
Pros: The resort is beautiful, I had a mountain view (the cheaper rooms) and the view is still amazing. There is a new shopping plaza immediately next door with restaurants and ice cream shops. Great outdoor pools.
Cons: This resort is not cheap, which is okay. What is not okay is you have to pay to rent a crappy plastic chair to use when sitting at the beach. And then you have to pay additional money to rent an umbrella. And if you want to sit in a shaded seat by the pool you have to pay for that too. Totally bogus.
Pros: Had a wonderful time at the Westin and would go back. The staff was awesome. They had a mini fridge in the room which worked out great for us. You can go snorkeling right off the beach at the Westin. Whalers village is right next door as well.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was that there wasn't a table in the room. There was a desk but not a small table to sit at and eat a little something the two of us.
Pros: Love the location and the surrounding facilities, mall, restaurants, etc.
Cons: Staff assigned me and my wife a room with 2 double beds for a week long stay in the most romantic place on earth. It was just too bad we could never sleep together the whole week. Ruined the whole trip for me.
Pros: The flamingos and swans were absolutely beautiful.
Cons: The pool was a little cold.
Pros: The Bed!
The Adult-only pool area (though the kiddos still managed to sneak in due to irresponsible parents)
Proximity to beach
Nice shower, but small bathroom area overall
Cons: Lack of good food options
Loud children in the hallways (maybe consider making some areas of this hotel for singles/couples only?)
No fan in the bathroom
Pros: Beautiful grounds and facilities. Great service and within walking distance to many restaurants.
Cons: Crowded most of the time. charged for many things that were included with resort fees elsewhere such as paddle boards.
Pros: Everything. Great for families, honeymooners, young couples, old couples, beach bums, active people, lazy people, food lovers, drinkers...etc
Cons: It was perfect
Pros: We were able to come to Maui on short notice. The westin exceeded all our expectations
Pros: They lost our reservation! We ended booking at another hotel.

Whether you're into scuba diving or soothing skincare from our signature Heavenly Spa by Westin™, world-class golfing, or our 87,000-square-foot aquatic playground—we offer countless ways to recharge. Each guest room enjoys a private patio, or lanai, with refreshing views of lush gardens, waterfalls, tropical landscaping, or the ocean. You'll also find our signature Heavenly® Bed and Heavenly® Bath waiting to offer new levels of comfort.
Pros: The entire resort was really well maintained, had an amazing view of the ocean, liked the fact that the patios were huge. Really close proximity to the beach. Convenient store inside the resort was very useful and had good breakfast.
Cons: Even though the resort itself was really well maintained, the unit itself was outdated and had issues like the TV remote did not work, patio door was broken and hard to open and close. Kitchen was very outdated as well.
Pros: Customer Service exceeded my expectations!!!
Pros: Location! Away from the touristy area packed with hotels. Luxurious grounds, quiet setting.
Cons: Not enough parking. Kapalua Villas is located within the large resort complex. Although they offered a nice complementary shuttle service anywhere within the complex, we preferred to explore on our own using our rental car and limited parking spaces made it difficult.
The Kapalua Villas Maui beachfront resort is located along 3 Kapalua Bay beaches in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. A total of 1,600 acres provides the tropical landscape for the villas, and the neighboring Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and Kapalua Bay.
More than 12 resort-complex restaurants include Kai Sushi Restaurant, the signature Banyan Tree restaurant, and the Alaoa Lounge. Culinary offerings range from gourmet French and Italian, to Pacific Rim and Hawaiian. The Honolulu Store is nearby and offers hot breakfasts and deli-style lunches, as well as a full-service espresso bar. One of the resort complex' championship golf courses was designed by Arnold Palmer, and use of the resort's 2 outdoor lighted tennis courts is complimentary. The resort complex houses the Kapalua Golf Academy that offers professional golf instruction. On-site shops offer island-inspired merchandise and fine jewelry. A complimentary shuttle transports guests throughout the resort upon request. Self-parking and WiFi are included in the daily resort fee. At The Kapalua Villas there are 8 swimming pools located throughout for use (3 pools in the Bay Villas; 3 pools in the Golf Villas; 2 pools in the Ridge Villas).
The Kapalua Villas Maui offers 230 oceanfront, ocean-view, or fairway-view villas with one, two, or three bedrooms. Floor plans include townhouses, and loft-style or one-level units. All units feature full kitchens. Cable television is offered in bedrooms and living rooms. Accommodations include CD and DVD players. Housekeeping is available on request.
Pros: The staff made us feel very comfortable, were very responsive and accommodating to requests. The man at the gate made a point of welcoming us home every time we drove back in, which was very nice. Pools and lounge areas are nice, although the pool and jacuzzi closes a bit earlier than we thought it would. If you play tennis, they have many new courts and a pro shop. Although older, a close walk to other resorts and Whaler's Village. Definitely a good place for the price.
Cons: The housekeeping staff seemed to always come really early as we were getting ready for the day. Call me crazy but when I am on vacation I sometimes like to sleep in,
Pros: The view, the aloha, the comfort, the beach, the food. Tremendous save to a bad airbnb experience.
Pros: The walls were a little thin. Could here our neighbors banging around.
Pros: Beach was phenomonal. Restaurant food was spectacular.
Cons: Beds were REALLY REALLY uncomfortable. Hot tub was across parking lot and COLD 2 of the 5 nights.
Cons: YOU NEED TO HAVE MICROWAVES IN THE ROOM
Pros: It was an excellent place to stay. Great views particularly during the sunset. Quiet, calm, relaxing. Plenty of aquatic activities for those who enjoy them. Very close to the beach. Staff was awesome. Incredibly friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: Food variety at the restaurant. It was basically fast food selection at fancy restaurant pricing. Most everything in the menu has some sort of sweet seasoning or sauce in it without the possibility of asking for the plate without it and/or lack of variety. Far from other food selection. If you are without a car you are subject to eat at the restaurant only.

Custom beds are draped in 330-thread count Egyptian cotton linens and Hawaiian patterned throws. Canoe paddles grace the walls and dark wooden shutters separate bedrooms and vanity areas. Coffee/tea makers are provided.
Pros: We loved the whale watching opportunity the beach provided. The beach is the best! It is a protected cove that allows for easy swimming.
Cons: The rooms are old, facilities are old and dated, the restaurant food was plain, the live music was fair,
Pros: A gem! The hotel was perfect for our stay. Great location to the beach, shops, restaurants, and tours. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a little outdated, however that didn't matter. We would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Hawaiian atmosphere
Cons: the beds weren't that great
Cons: Hotel shows signs of age and room felt very moist and had a faint mildew smell
Pros: Nice beach view, nice patio, more privacy, daily cleaning services, nice cupboards. Overall novice place to stay. Cheap compared to other hotels.
Cons: It should be morndenized.
Pros: Location was okay.
Cons: We had to change rooms after a very direct discussion with the night manager due to the bugs infesting the room. The room we moved to was down one floor and it, too, was bug infested. The Manager, Mike White, called and assisted us in finding another hotel (condo) that was satisfactory and did not charge us for our one night stay. He said that they had recently replaced their pest control company to improve on their pest issue and hired a new Housekeeping Manager to correct housekeeping issues. (The room had obviously been wiped with sour cleaning rags and cleaned with dirty mop water. Both rooms stunk.
Pros: Great view of Kaanapali Beach from ocean front room.
Daily breakfast buffet was very good.
Nightly entertainment Hawaiian music.
Cons: Only 2 elevators that are slow.
Pros: Staff was excellent helpful and courteous
Cons: We were pretty satisfied with everything
Pros: Rooms were comfortable and included a fridge. Very convenient location ... on the beach and walking distance to Whalers Village (with an ABC Store for reasonably priced food and souvenirs.) Loved the Hawaiian music and hula every night from 6-9 (included.) Staff were so pleasant and even had a farewell ceremony with free Kekui beads. Would definitely recommend to friends and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Cons: no complaints whatsoever
Pros: We were very pleased with the central location, the beach, the facilities and the rates. Thank you!
Cons: That the breakfast was good for only two days, no exceptions. We missed out due to jet lag and not reading through everything. We were staying another 3-days so still would have benefited from your presentation. That was very disappointing. The only other complaint is the cost of your buffet in the morning. We opted to eat elsewhere each day.
Room and lanai
Attentiveness by staff when we had a problem with some missing snorkel fins
Staff in general were relatively friendly and accommodating other than one lady at the valet area
Cons: Champagne brunch and dinner at tiki terrace food was good, but not great
Missing belongings - a pair of our fins went missing while our luggage was being moved to our room
Some staff at curb not very welcoming

Pros: This place had everything that we expected and the Beach was great you could go rite from your hotel snorkeling I recommend this place a return
Pros: The view and the pools are very nice and I was impressed with them.
Cons: The food and drinks were just average. I understand that more people cook themselves in this type of property and not to expect a five star experience. The service was weak and inattentive in the restaurant, enough to get you your meal, but mostly feeling in different.
Pros: Our one bedroom unit worked well. We ate in or out as suited us. Nice 3.5 mile beach trail starts in a park just south of the property; good for running and walking, but could be contested in spots. we had full access to the timeshare immediately south, and frequented the happy hour at their beach/pool bar and their lounge chairs. Grounds were lush and attractive.
Cons: Beach was nice to look at, but not very useable, as it was small and the surf was high. Too small even for lounging. Next door was better.
Pros: Price and upgade
Pros: Huge room. Gorgeous views. Huge tub. Beautiful tile work. Big kitchen. Washer and dryer
Cons: The beds were just awful. They were rock hard and not comfy at all. The pillows were small. Had a very hard time sleeping. No coffee maker!!!
When you stay at Aston Kaanapali Shores, you are joining our ohana - our family. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at our Kaanapali beach resort not only make you feel at home, but are also happy to guide you to Maui's most coveted destinations. Our guest activities desk can arrange anything from snorkeling and parasailing adventures to visits at natural pools and historical Hawaiian sites.
Cons: Baby's are not allowed to laugh at 3 in the afternoon on new years eve or you get a knock from management on door....but they can cry with no complaints. They have parrots all over and a filthy sports bar with loud rowdy locals that scream. Wait staff is rude and unpleasant and if you whistle at the bird that constantly whistles the bartender embarrasses you and disciplines you for whistling back at the bird. The pool is freezing miniature and an absolute joke.
Oh yah...the birds awake you at 5am just after the septic truck Hoover's outside at 430am also waking you..don't plan on sleeping in...no place for coffee...horrible coffee at restaurant. Place is a joke

Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks. Pros: Our room was beautiful and overlooked the water. We were steps from a quiet beach where we could see sea turtles and watch the sunset. I would recommend this place to anyone and will absolutely come and stay again!
Cons: the only think the room didn't have that I really wished it did was air conditioning. The ceiling fan didn't offer much relief one the very warm nights
Pros: It was nice to receive clean towels everyday. Plus a bonus of having your bed made daily.
Cons: The kitchen was too small. They were remodeling room 215, next door to us while we were there. It was quite noisy with the construction workers.
This oceanfront condo resort in Kaanapali sits adjacent to Honokowai Beach Park, 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from Whalers Village and 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) from Lahaina Town.

Units are cooled by ceiling fans (no air conditioning). Added amenities include wireless high-speed Internet access, in-room safes, phones, and cable TV.
Pros: Loooooved the unobstructed view and access to the water. The place was convenient and clean. Having a pool and hot tub was an added bonus.
Cons: The sofa bed could be better since i could feel every spring but the waves lulled me to sleep. The bathroom could do with a vent especially when showering.
Cons: The room was horribly uncomfortable. The couch was faded and sunken in, the TV was outdated, the Wifi did not work, but the worst feature was the bed. The bed was a box spring, you could literally feel every coil. There were disgusting brown stains on all the curtains, as well as the comforter. Maid service is only every 4 days, and there is an extra $95 fee that was not mentioned on KAYAK for cleaning services after check out. There was also an extra charge if I wanted clean towels on the days I did not have maid service. I was very disappointed in this hotel. I would never recommend this place, nor ever stay here again.
Cons: No usable beach. Misrepresented amenities - there is no air conditioning - only a ceiling fan. The room was not well maintained. The front desk had no record of the reservation, however the agent at the front desk created a reservation when we presented documentation of the confirmation.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and we had great service! Our room faced the ocean and was very nice. Everyone was very friendly. We had lots of fun playing in the ocean, we even rented boogie boards.
Cons: Breakfast service wasn't great. Our waitress wasn't very helpful and we had to seek her out when we needed something as she never came to check on us. Food was very good though.
Pros: It was on the ocean. Grounds were clean.
Cons: The room we initially were assigned to had not been cleaned. Beds were torn apart and toiletries were sitting on the vanity. Our subsequent room had ants.
Pros: I had a wonderful time with absolutely no complaints.
Pros: The location was wonderful and the pools and grounds were very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our roof leaked when it rained. We had to move one of the beds over because it was dripping on the bed. The television was old and hard to figure out the stations.
Pros: We actually never stayed at the Ka'anapali Ocean Inn...when we checked in, they were over-booked so they put us up in 1st floor, oceanfront cottage room at the Royal Lahaina...it was great. Just a few steps to the beach, a few more steps to the pool and a wonderful view out the sliding glass doors. Every member of the staff, from checking in, to taking us to our room, to the breakfast buffet, to checking out...everyone was great. We live on Oahu and came over for 1 night for our son's birthday...we would stay here again.
Cons: There was a damp, moldy smell, but we wrote it off as being close to the ocean and the cottages being older. However, as we were leaving, we noticed in the closet, that the wall between the shower and the closet was moldy, the carpet there was wet and the base board was starting to disintegrate.
Pros: It was quiet and the staff accomodated us when we asked for a different room.
Cons: It is an older hotel and even though the hallways are covered, they are still accessible from the outside so anyone walking by could enter and come to your room door. The original ocean front unit was right next door to a luau and with the west exposure, the air conditioner could not keep up with the sun shining in and it got quite warm. Free internet is in the lobby only of the larger hotel several doors down but not in the room. There is a $10 self parking charge and the room has a shower only, no bathtub. There is also no elevator.

Pros: The 2-storey hotel dates from the 1930's and only has a few rooms. Don't expect modern conveniences but do enjoy the rustic interior, antique furnishings, large veranda and large balcony with a view of the ocean in downtown Lahaina. Friendly staff.
Cons: Although our room was large, there was very little furniture. No place to put an extra suitcase. An extra table and a few shelves or drawers would be nice.
Pros: Great location close to front street and designated parking for hotel guests with day pass for sale so you can come and go as you please.
Cons: We needed minor assistance in the evening and there was not any staff available, only a sign directing us to call the main resort with any problems. Also nobody on staff at checkout, just a key drop box. Also, the bed was a full size, we would have preferred a queen/king.
Pros: Great downtown location with easy parking.
Cons: No front desk staff when we arrived (around 7:00 pm). The lock on the door to our room needs to be fixed as the key didn't work for us or the housekeeping staff.
Cons: The shower was pathetic. Bathroom small.
Pros: Very friendly staff and gorgeous soroundings.
