Relaxed and friendly, very clean. Good pools plenty of sun beds. very nice pool bar and food is fresh and varied from a sandwich to a meal, not over priced.
convenient for the amenities of Port Andraixt yet in a quiet location
The peace and quiet and the pools Our room was quite basic compared to some of our famillies rooms is this because some were B.B and others were H.B does this make a difference in the make up of the room, also some of the food was quite bland in taste, otherwise great
The bungalow was nice furnaced and offered enough space. All had a friendly athmosphare. The staircase has no handle and the stairs are very narrow and slippery
The children loved the pools,as they were very child friendly, being fairly shallow in places for 3 and 5 year olds.
I thought the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. They gave us a warm welcome and were always on hand to help with anything that we asked for. Nice people.
Quiet at nights, very effective air conditioning, good pool, and proximity to the town.
Sunshine, pools with loungers, table tennis and tennis court for grandchildren. Lovely lunch arrangements with food the grandchildren loved and adults enjoyed with breaks to nip off for table tennis for the children. Breakfast excellent except I try not to eat too much breakfast! (The grandchildren were one block away - we stayed last year as well.)
The room was very good and well furnished as well as clean. The view was excellent and the facilities seemed very good. The quality of the breakfast was very poor and very expensive. Everything looked nice but there was very little flavour to anything. It was so disappointing that we went into town for breakfast every morning after our first breakfast in the hotel. Even if the cost of the breakfast had been half price, the quality was so poor we would have still eaten out.
location close to harbour in chic fishing village; beautiful swimming pool; tennis court; basic room at reasonable price
Nice quiet location but close enough to both beaches and the resort center. Very clean.
I liked all the facilites that were available to use, and all free. the food was also very good. the staff were very difficult to deal with and very unorganised.
The Hotel has Air Conditioning which was part of the criteria for our selection. In our room it was very poor and even after 2 complaints nothing was done.
We were given a room in the annex which was a long walk for my elderley mother. We had to take two lifts to get to the room. We asked to be moved to another room and the next day they moved us to the main part of the hotel but on the 8th floor. The room was very noisy. You could hear the plumbing pipes all night making a banging noise. Not alot of entertaininment only twice a week
For a 4-star hotel it is very poor - the standards are max. 3 stars. Even though the rooms are clean, the whole place needs redecorating.
The hotel was very nice with a lovely indoor and out door pool, the rooms were ok for a short stay with a good size balcony and fridge in the room. I would use the hotel again for a stay in Santa Ponca The english breakfast could have been better, fatty bacon broilled with small frankfurt style sausage... ended up eating breakfast out. A few more UK channels on the TV would be good.
The location was fantastic - close to the beach and the little shops and restaurants. Great pool, very helpful and courteous desk staff. Maid service were very professional! We had some discomfort during the hot periods of the day and night as out room air conditioning didn't seem to be working very well.
Friendly helpful staff (especially on Reception), any problems were dealt with promptly and hotel has a nice feel about it. Towels were still left on loungers by the pool & the hotel did not remove them as stated. Also although diving was forbidden people still did & towels were left to dry on balconies. What is the point of requesting guests not to dive, reserve loungers etc and then do nothing when guests ignore notices?
Excellent environment, restaurant and service. Could have done with a little more evening entertainment but I suppose that we were a little out of season
Location, late booking in facility, comfort of bedrooms, good pool and plenty of room on sun loungers. Parking facility full therefore had to part some way from hotel late at night.
hospitality, rooms, jacuzzi, staff smile, views of rooms, service, everything nothing at all
We found the staff exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Our suites had a fantastic panoramic view. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next stay! Loved everything but would like to see more authentic Spanish/Majorcan dishes and entertainment.
almost none, except no kid around. Booked it for our anniversary trip, hugely disappointed. The jaccuzi jets in the room were horribly dirty. Went to ask for a room change, n the other remain dirty. Not willing to do a proper upgrade for us so we just stayed in the original room but use shower only. Spa supposed to open at 10am, but by 10:30 we can only see cleaning bubbles on the ground, cleaning material everywhere but no staff. No one around can tell us when will it be ready, so we ended up check out early without a chance to enjoy any facility. What an awful managment for a 4-star hotel!!
Breakfast. poor internet options and signal strength
Nice view over the sea; professionnalism of staff; fairly clean; fairly good food; a fairly good choice of fresh fruits; fair good size bed; jacuzzi in room with view over the sea; No beach, and uneasy to dive from the volcanic rocks into the sea but... There is a nice sandy beach at 15 to 20 minutes walk from the hotel; the water of the swimming pool is just too hot in summer and the climate, inside pool, with fresh water, is opened against payment only.
The View from hotel is great The breakfast is good, nice variety available. the bed room small dark and noisy. Shower did not work properly.Jets in jacuzzi bath not working properly.the woman on duty who checked us in unhelpful not very welcoming, other members of staff we met later much nicer but left us with a bad impression of hotel.
We loved the fact you didn't have to fight for sun beds each morning and we loved the beds with the canopy over them as i can't lay in the sun all day .The food was exellent and the waiters were very helpful nothing
Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms, quiet, relaxing and beautiful rooms Did not dislike anything about the hotel but did not particularly like the area.
The hotel was very quiet & the view from the balcony ws lovely, the rooms were spacious and very clean never any free sunbeds, always reserved by towels at 0700! It was a long walk from the room to the main part of the hotel using two lifts.
Very nice hotel. Food was excellent. Room very comfortable with good sea view. Excellent Spa facility. Difficult to find the slot for the key card during the day because there was no light during the day.
Good location, food, good service, comfortable, nice hotel Nothing
Quiet location, good for honeymoon, good for second honeymoon. Too much orientated towards German visitors. Evening meal timing too early.finishing.
The food was excellent, and the location wonderful. Very relaxing. Friendly staff. The beds were very uncomfortable and the room and bathroom in general a bit outdated.
Next to the beach, great boufet and spa facilities
food , quality hotel.......clean very german orientated ......only two english in hotel no effort made to converse with us entertainment all german........
Dining staff and bar staff make this hotel with their warm hospitality and general helpfulness Reception staff need customer training; difficulty with reservation. The hotel claim to have changing facilities for post check out yet provide no towels or toiletries
Very cheap for singles. Quiet and calm on most nights compaired to the other two hotels at camp de mar. The food was ok, but could easily be more varied
Nothing. there are many answers I would like to give to all those questions that do not appear on this questionaire. would like to see some drawers and mirrors in the rooms other than just on wardrobe doors on the way out
Quite and comfortable atmosphere inside and outside the hotel. The beach and the sea is fine. The service is on rather high level. During our stay there was no negative impressions
Excellent room & sea view / good buffet breakfast No
Good location on the beach No parking - street parking was a bit of a lottery as the hotel is also next to a golf course. A four star rating was probably given on the basis of a gym and "spa" facilities. It's really more of a very good 3 star.
Great location, nice view, nice evening show. Beach is very close to hotel. Good breakfast! Elevator was not working sometimes; not pleasant staff in restaurant; no possibility to eat at night time; all inclusive stops after 11 pm
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
The food let the hotel down, the choice for vegetarians was very very poor.
The hotel has an excelent location, the staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean. Although the quality of the food was generally good it was often only warm rather than hot.
The location - would go back tomorrow for another stay...Camp De Mar is wondeful. Staff in the hotel were very friendly, restuarants in area great - was a wonderful break. Do not think this is a 4 star hotel but would still stay there again. The rooms could be upgraded - shower screen instead of curtains for example, internet in the rooms would be good.I booked and gave American Express card as details - imagine shock when we got to check in at the hotel and they did not accept Amex or Diners - watch out for this. Fortunately we did have a Mastercard as well. Having said all of the above, we really have no complaints and had a lovely few days at the Lido and would go back again without hestitation
The staff, closeness to beach and restaraunts No - it was just a great place to stay
Breakfast quality, quietness Restaurant service after ordering meal
It was an amazing mixture of friendly stuff, excellent service and a familiar atmosphere Well, generally everything was excellent, but to be honest: You do not recognize that you are in spain - to 90 % germans ...
i had booked into another hotel for five days and moved to this hotel. This hotel is great during the off season. In peak season, i cannot imagine anyone staying here, as there is only room at the pool for about 20 people. The beach nearby is so small that with all of the people staying in the area, there is not room for a peaceful holiday.
Frindliness of staff. Spacious rooms. Good location, near beach and golf resort. Very nice breakfast (included in price).
Staff charming. Great breakfasts. Superb facilities Reception staff very helpfull but let down by repeatedly ignoring requests for items that had been omitted by cleaners. Room not cleaned when returing late one afternoon. Had to shower off with wet towels. Hotels accepted fault and made adequate compensatory gesture. Meals very very expensive.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room we had was very comfortable and a very good size.Plenty of space.
Everything was really wonderful at the Dorint: from the breakfast to the swimming pools and the spa, to the comfort and space of the rooms, to the well decorated public spaces. We just didn't tried the food at the restaurants of the hotel, so we cannot provide an opinion on that. Personnel was extremely attentive. The thing that we've liked less during our stay, was the fact that the beach nearby (5 mn walking) was not that wonderful, especially because it was too crowded (there are two rather large hotels in from of the beach); the Dorint should have a reserved area on the beach. But if you have a car, it's not a problem to reach easily other much nicer beaches.
Location is good. Good for golf. Rooms smelt of smoke, phone was broken. No room service menu / hotel guide in room. Noisy - you can here the rooms next door. 100% German - staff will assume you are German.
Sunshine! No it was all perfect
Traditional, comfortable excellent location near beach and shops etc, lovely breakfast terrace and gardens. Easy access to beach Lunch buffet not great. Problem with inadequate sunloungers
Very welcoming staff - warm and comfortable hotel. We were upgraded to a superior room on arrival.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff from reception to bars, to restaurants to cleaning staff. The breakfast restaurant is superb in terms of setting, ambience, staff, food etc. The location of the hotel on the beach is outstanding. The furnishings were high quality. The whole place was exceptionally clean - look out for the polished brass on the main stairs. The beds could have been more comfortable. Entertainment was dreary, but the older guests seemed to like it.
Very good location, wondeful beach, many resaturants and shops around, high level of services no balcony in some rooms, air-condition not good working sometimes
This is a very comfortable hotel with (for the most part) friendly staff. We particularly liked the Terrace Restaurant and the pool atmosphere was relaxed and child friendly (without allowing the children to take over). Well managed establishment. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is no doubt that we thought the hotel was expensive having regard to overall experience, location etc.. a charge of 50% extra for a small six year old was excessive, we thought.
Very obliging and helpful staff and excellent Conference facilities The junior suites in the garden area were damp so we moved rooms immediately
staff were excellent, rooms are very nice and cleaned daily, breakfast was fantastic, overall the best hotle we have stayed in in a long time we think the shuttle bus to town should run in the evening time also, finishes at 4pm
The quality of food for a HB standard was good. The location if you have a car at your disposal. The rooms have more of a business look than a holiday look. A bit far from the sea.
comfort, food, its a goog place for honeymoon
Smart, clean and spacious facilities. Room was excellent. Two pools, so fortunately one seems to be favoured by famillies and the other one is more peaceful.
Secluded location, good sized rooms and v. good restaurant facilities albeit very beautiful complex retaining indigenous trees on steep hillside location the whole area was overly shaded and minimal opportunity for sunbathing... especially in room balconies and pool areas
Pool and surroundings good Expensive for casual meals .evening meals very poor they left a packet of nuts and a small bottle of wine on a side table then charged for them on the bill they did not say it was part of the mini bar service
lovely hotel, stunning views, peaceful, great outside areas and pools. Nice to have private parking. No noise from other guests whilst in room. Shower leaked onto floor, told reception but nothing done
All aspects excellent stay would return Nothing
Very private and excellent breakfast!
family run hotel, we highly appreciate the athmosphere and the services!!!
The location is superb with stunning views The food left a lot to be desired especially when coupled with the limited choice offered for half board clients
Our room was ready for us when we arrived even though we were early. A nice spacious room with stunning views across the bay. Twin basins in the bathroom with plenty of toiletries. Complimentary drinks in the fridge a nice touch. Robe and slippers provided and pool towels. The grounds were very well maintained, a delight to walk around. Sun loungers were always available and the pools good. No drinks service around the pool areas. The food was a poor standard for this class of hotel. We did not enjoy evening meals. The breakfasts were good apart from the last morning when we requested to eat early (7am) breakfast dosn't start until 8! We were given dry packet toast, biscuits and something resembling polysterene. No fresh bread or even milk for the cereals.
Typical mediterrranenan ambience. staff friendly and helpful. close to small but clean beach. clear sea water. spacious clean room and bathroom with good a/c Lots of steps making it difficult for anyone handicapped or with arthritis. steep walk down to beach. little to no young people making it unattractive for younger guests.
Outside swimming pools were attractive, small collection of animals entertained children, room balcony view pleasant but that's all. The hotel claims 5 stars but is realistically 3 star. Reception staff were unhelpful and disinterested, night staff spoke inadequate english to be able to effectively communicate. Facilities again were inadequate and definitely not 5 star standard. No business centre, no available printer. No minibar, no in room tea making facility, no available room service despite claimed.Thankfully we only had breakfast ,the food was repetitively bland, oily and unimaginative
The friendliness of the staff It was classified as a 5* but did not really have all the features for this - e.g. TV with not English channels, no tissues provided, very limited information on hotel services in room, fridge/ minibar not stocked at all so we had to go to supermarket for water etc
The hotel grew on us throughout our stay which was only actually 2 nights. There were many places to sit and enjoy the views without continuous background music found in so many hotels. Not really a complaint but we did notice that we had to search for a member of staff in order to buy a drink in the bar.
The 'front desk' staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.
the beautifull vieuws at the bay the noise when you are in the room you can hear everything including regular conversation that takes place in the other room.................
very comfortable rooms, wonderful view at the seaside from the room terrace, tasty and variable breakfast no hairdrier in the room
good value, pleasant pool and views
Beautiful location, Food was horrible
we traveled about all over the island with our hire car N/A
Location all rooms with sea view. lack of parking and too many smoking areas.
The view from this hotel is amazing and very relaxing. The indoor pool was a great added bonus as the weather wasnt great for the first few days of our stay although it is April so i didnt expect too much heat. The hotel seems a bit run down it could do with a paint and the rroms could do with some new bed linen, there was scratchy orange coloured blankets that seem like they are from the 60's. Also there is a lovely view from the reception area through floor to ceiling windows however the windows were very dirty so it spoilt the view. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis, i would normally eat anything however i couldnt somach half the food available i lived on croissants and toast lol. Also we booked a double room but as i suspected we had 2 single beds this didnt really matter much tho it was still comfortable
Excelent location and view!
location was excellent beside the port and the facilities were great, pool, bar and room service. had to get a taxi from airport which cost 50 euro. Not sure public bus would be easy to get there by.
The location the hotel lay out and the peace and quiet.
Hotel's staff is very kind to kids.
good modern hotel within 1 mile of town centre good pool area good breakfast
Great food, reasonable prices, excellent facilities
i was only there for 1 night but the hotel was clean and my room lovely i had a junior suite and breakfast was excellent
Very clean and staff very conscientious
Good location and facilities. Buffet dinner was a bit sad. Not much selection and really ordinary
Excellent staff, good facilities, good food, clean rooms, modern hotel. Not enough sunbeds.
Convenient location to Port Andratx and it's harbour restaurants, quiet location, relaxed atmosphere and well maintained garden/pool area
I am normally too lazy to make review , but the hotel staffs were so nice and the location and everything was just perfect!! I am returning for sure!!!
Excellent views from seaview room across sea.Stunning location.Good staff. The English breakfast was really poor.Despite excellent site the hotel is a long (and hilly!) way from Paguera centre. Car needed but cost of E10 per day for parking not mentioned in brochure.Free minbus to centre appreciated but timings could be better.
Sadly we where not informed about the roof top pool and bathing area which would have enhanced our stay but having discovered them on the last day I would go back...lovely setting...peaceful The Check in... lack of information
- fabulous views; - beautiful surroundings; - pleasant terrace with good food and service; - reservation system for sunbeds; - some members of staff are highly professional - small and overcrowded beach; - very small TV; - room cleaning superficial
the view from the room
Helpfulness of staff, and reasonable value for money Rather dated and bedding was very '70/S. Would like better Sky programmes in English. Really miss cnbc, and free
receptionists were very helpful food and restaurant staff manners could be improved
fantastic location, lovely beach, good quality hotel no
Reception staff very helpful and friendly Waiting staff in the restaurant appeared stressed at times sometimes food was not very hot
Relax, silence, sound of the sea, great wieus, beach just in front Part of the staff, cafeteria service, TV in rooms
Clean and tidy. Friendly staff Booked double room but given singles. Beds not comfortable. Very noisy as on a busy road
The rooms were of a nice size with flat screen telly and nice sized balcony.they were very clean and would stay there again!! The breakfasts were yummy and being a smaller hotel, everything was cooked fresh and was more personable then when i've been to bigger hotels in Santa Ponsa.
We just came back from Santa Ponsa and stayed at the Plaza. We had a lovely stay. Great location for beach, golf and bars. The rooms were comfortable and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. they had an excellent choice of food. There are also some nice bike routes near the hotel. The Hotel is suitable for all ages. I would not hesitate to stay there again and can highly recommend it The advertising with regards to the rooms is a bit misleading as thay are advertised as apartments but really they are nice hotel rooms
I was travelling on my own. The hotel staff are very friendly and made my stay very pleasant. They couldnt do enough to help you, especially Marta in the restaurant and John in the bar. No problems with the room, I only booked it on line 10 days before travelling and was given a triple room with a massive balcony. Other couples in twin rooms stated they were quite small. When asked, receiption provided me with an iron and ironing board. I stayed half board, the food was basic but there was always something I liked. Regarding evening meal, maybe just extend the choice of vegetables available
Really the only thing the hotel had going for it was its location ,near beach. The pool area was tiny and not at all like photographs Rooms very small and sparsely furnished, bathroom tiny,it was more like a hostel than a three star hotel
The closeness to everywhere we wanted to go, everywhere was just a walk away, which my wife and I enjoyed very much. The beds, weve always been used to doubles. I dont think there was any choice.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The receptionist was particularly helpful in sorting out a taxi for me to get to the airport for my return journey. The shower room was very good indeed, as I don't like a bath. It was nice to have a shower cubible and not to have to climb into a bath for a shower. There was no information about how to operate the telephone or how to work the television, or no information about meal times etc. in my room. My sister joined me for breakfast on 2 of my day's stay, but we were not given a receipt for her breakfasts. The waitress simply took the money! However they made her very welcome and she did enjoy her food, and I enjoyed her company on those 2 mornings. I did not read any reviews about this hotel so I have not answered the question below. Sorry.
I liked the central location of the hotel, and the closeness of the transport options by taxi or by bus. Did not like the pool and there ofcourse was some noise from the plaza traffic.
stayed there in Oct 08 and it was such a chilled out hotel, very relaxing indeed :) reason as to why i went back there this yr, would defo recommend it :)
the central location is why i stay at this hotel
location was very good, close to beach, bars, restaurants, shops. large outdoor Swimming pool. Reception staff were quick to deal with any queries or requests air conditioning could have been cooler, shower could have been stronger. be prepared to pay 50 euro to get there by taxi from the airport
Pool. Manager, staff and location Lack of international mix,
