7.0 Good
Pros: Food and location and the family atmosphere were all outstandingly good.
Cons: We had a small room and it was very small. If I went again I would hope to get certainly a medium room or better still one of the large ones. This is not a complaint as we knew we could only get a small room so were prepared

Pros: The setting was amazing. Hotel is very charming and attention is given to the every detail. Everything was perfect. But the best thing were hosts. They were amazing. They were so caring. This was the best places we stayed on our road trip. I highly recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and different each morning. Evening meals were delicious.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fusion of a dreamscape with all the modern conveniences and warm hospitality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing!! Thank you!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: To be able to stay in a historic property within a traditional Maniot village is a great treat; and when it has been luxuriously converted into a hotel it gets even better. (Though one could wonder what a traditional Mani family would make of a Japanese-style pebble pool on the verandah!) Our room was quite small but very well-appointed, with comfortable bed and efficient shower
Cons: The food was a bit of a disappointment, especially after some rave reviews on booking.com in the past. Breakfast was good, but there was no choice (and we stayed 3 days, so it was getting a bit repetitive): always a small omelette, fried pitta, two small slices of smoked ham, a small pile of yogurt with honey, a lump of local soft cheese, a portion of orange or apricot jam - all presented on a glass plate, one item in each dimple. If you felt like muesli, fried eggs, or strawberry jam, tough! The evening menu was very small, and almost wholly un-Greek: lamb or beef steak, fish fillet or prawn linguini, with choice of a few salads. The meat was cooked well and tender; the prawn linguini delicious; the fish was awful, not properly cooked and served only with a big pile of beetroot as “vegetables of the season”. My wife went hungry, though the hotel waived the charge for it.

Pros: Location. Excellent reception. Excellent breakfast. Absolutely recommendable.

Pros: This is my second time at Tanairon Blue and the whole package remains exceptional and I can't pinpoint one item that keeps drawing me back: Kostas/Stacey/Staff; panoramic views; historic nature of property; access to local excursions (beach, tavernas, historic towns); breakfast; dinner; Coco-matt bedding; relaxed environment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience was one of the best ever! The location is amazing and the warm welcome by Kostas and his team is wonderful. George serves great breakfast and dinner with local products. It literally is a piece of paradise! We were even gifted a box of beautiful olive oils, salt and herbs to enjoy at home. A truly magical experience for which many thanks!
Cons: Absolutly nothing!

Pros: Everything!!! First the view and then the discretion and the absolute serenity , but the most important of all was the kindness and hospitality of Mr Kostas and his team. The absolute luxury!

Kyrimai Hotel - Gerolimenas - Bedroom
6
9.0 Excellent (396 reviews)

Dating back to 1870, this elegantly restored property enjoys a countryside setting in Mani. It offers a historic atmosphere, Creative Greek and International cuisine and country-chic rooms with antique furniture. The vintage-style guest rooms are fitted with custom-made anatomic bedding and have Apivita toiletries. A Greek breakfast is served on a wooden deck right on the sea. Creative Greek and International cuisine, prepared by the hotel’s chef are served at Kyrimai’s atmospheric restaurant. The Kyrimai Hotel lies a few kilometres from the southernmost point of the Tainaro peninsula, where the Ionian Sea meets the Aegean. This example of period architecture is a member of the Historic Hotels of Europe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Nice design.
Cons: The room was in front of the sea but due to it's design one could only enjoy the sea view standing up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Glorious location. Comfort without fuss. Elements of luxury. Very lovely helpful staff. Delicious breakfasts. We had a wonderful couple of days.
Cons: Small bathroom, not the greatest view but we had a standard room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent set up, design and services. Liked the people. I would recommend and return to the property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location and design hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location with a wharf that gives easy access for swimming in the Med. This proved to be a good way to meet other guests during the afternoons. Kirimai is perfectly placed for seeing the best of the Deep Mani giving access to little swimming coves further south, the Vathi towers and lunch at Porto Kagio.
Cons: Kirimai is a bit pricey for drinks and food. Not sure how they do in the height of the season - but I think the upmarket vibe could be tailored a bit. Lots of guests seemed to vote with their feet and dine out in the village - a mere stroll from the hotel. Either way - you wont starve. Most guests we talked to whinged about the stairs and the upper floor rooms - but accepting that it comes with the territory. The hotel is a conversion of old storerooms on the wharf. The makeover is very good quality. The hotel is comfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: old property, very nice boutique hotel, well done, kind staff,
Cons: the service at the bar/ breakfast was a little slow, and they did have wasps flying, when the breakfast was offered, so it was unpossible to take the breakfast outside...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in every way
Cons: wifi is poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved discovering the tasteful local meals with a chef that cooks with his heart. We enjoyed the swim in the sea, the sound of the waves and this very authentique hotel which has a real history.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful rooms, great food, very nice owners and fantastic location. We will definitely come back again.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice view
Cons: The most unpleasant part of the stay was the rude and inhospitable owners. We were two female friends visiting the area and they gave us a room with the bathtub in the open space and the male owner was laughing for this instead of trying to accommodate us. Also, late check in (almost 7pm) because of previous resident being sick with no notification from the owner. Breakfast very poor and when you asked even for milk for cornflakes made you feel like a burden. There were a few soft drinks in the fridge of the room and 2 bottles of water and at the check out only the owner informed us that even the water would be charged. There was no info in the room about the cost of the water or the soft drinks. You could easily assume that those were left in the room from the previous clients. Stayed for 4 nights and we had to ask to have more sampoo and shower gel. Wi fi patchy making simple work emails very difficult. Far away from Gerolimenas and nothing around for food and drink. Tricky road as well especially for nervous drivers at night. Being advertised as 4 stars but services are that of a simple guest house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel which in conjunction with wild environment gives an extraordinary feeling. moreover the hospitality of Mr. Angelos and his wife.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts, amazing sea view from the balcony, very good breakfast with home made cakes.

Pros: Beautiful location, good breakfast, the hostess was great.
Cons: No wifi, we felt uncomfortable with the host.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breathtaking views and the incredible starry sky at night. The silence and peaceful atmosphere. The dinner cooked by the wife of the owner (and the owners themselves!).
Cons: Nothing

Our room was extra spacious for 2 people (could hold 4), very clean and well equipped. Everything looking nice. Super nice tavern with delicious food just on the ground floor of the same building, operated by the hotel.
Cons: Some more light in the corridor leading to rooms would be nice but ok.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The family running the establishment were very attentive. Noted there was limited availability from the menu, but that was the same for other Restaurants in the village. The local food was well cooked.
Cons: Nothing. It was better than expected.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners and fantastic breakfast. The location is great in the centre of town.
Cons: A lot of noise from the street until the early hours of the morning. It's possible to close the doors and use the AC, but rhe noise is still audible.

Cons: Somewhat outdated facility.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast was fair but not special.

Traditional excellent food served by a warmfull family. Gerolimenas is a very nice place, 4 hours from Athens, best place to discover the uniqueness of the Mani Region : the pearl between the sea, the sky and the mountains with the typical stone houses & towers.
4.0 Okay
Pros: the cost did not include breakfast and because the room was TINY I would have thought that it should include breakfast for the price......the next hotel did include it for much less in cost.
Cons: see above

Pros: Spiros was very nice and kind, amazing views!!
Cons: I am not a fan of wet room showers
7.9 Good
Pros: Our room had a large balcony directly overlooking the small harbour. Very very special. The owner, Spiros and the young woman who cooked in the restaurant and cleaned our room were both welcoming hosts.
Cons: No complaints
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great situation in pleasant former fishing village, several good tavernas and even a couple of bars for later.
Cons: Wish there had been bike hire in town. WiFi not much use in my room. But good ‘rooms’ standard, will be familiar to long-term Visitors to Greece, no real complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is run by a family and they are very friendly and helpful. The view from the balcony of the room was great and the atmosphere of the hotel quiet. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was home made and delicious. I would be pleased to return to this hotel and recommend it to other people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great overnight stay. I had a room facing the ocean and the view was amazing, really made the stay! The rooms are a nice size and very clean with a double bed. Owner was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and return!
6.7 Good
Pros: Good view from balcony. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The pictures on booking.com sight are the newer building next door. Our room was OK but felt the pictures were deceptive.
