Pros:The room was clean and well appointed. Bathroom - shower only - was nicely re-done in stone. Very appealing, although the sink was small. This was exactly the stopover we needed as travelling from Zion To Sequoia via Death Valley. A great value. I must say that I miscued my reservations for the wrong night. The Manager allowed me to reschedule personally, without incurring charges. He is a very professional and honorable Hotelier. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Cons:For me, a drawback was the lack of laundry facilities and ice. We could have done with both. There is a grocery, Albertsons, nearby that took care of the ice issue. Ridgecrest is a fair sized community with all amenities needed.
Pros:I used to stay in the Econolodge up the street during my annual trip to Ridgecrest (for the High Desert Trails rally). This year, I decided to try something different. I was pleasantly surprised. A Night's Inn is basically 90% what you'd get at a national, discount motel chain--for 30% less money. Management was exceedingly attentive and friendly. He remembered my name and used it to greet me when he saw me, always making sure I was happy. The room had some flaws I'm not used to seeing in motels, sure. A previous guest dropped a blue maker on the comforter, resulting in a couple blue ink stains. The climate control was a bit loud, rattling the wall when the compressor would cycle on. And I'd hear the odd door closing in the next room, but nothing at all troubling. All in all, the remarkable cost savings, combined with some of the best customer service I've ever experienced in a hotel, makes A Night's Inn my first choice for accommodations in Ridgecrest from now on. They are trying very hard and clearly care about their reputation.
