Cons: Very nice but a little on the expensive side.
Pros: the ambiance. Loved the creek.Bed was awesome. Can we have the bathroom come home with us? Breakfast was the best set up with real people. Great Job. !
Pros: Excellent rooms and staff was very professional and caring. Made you feel welcome. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Pros: Beautiful both inside and out. Breakfast was good.
Pros: Beautiful hotel, by far the nicest in town. Staff was amazing and very friendly. The morning breakfast was a nice plus.
Pros: Breakfast Bar. Friendly personnel. Clean quiet room.
Cons: Small fridge in a low hidden location.
Pros: It exceeded my expectations on every level. The room was clean and up to date. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful with two separate sinks and a gorgeous walk in shower. The staff was very helpful with dining and hiking options.
Cons: The elevator doors were extremely slow... but that's really nitpicking. This place was great.
Pros: Soup in the afternoon, fresh cookies in the evening.
Cons: Breakfast staff too busy talking to keep eggs warm.
Pros: Everything. We stay here every chance we get
Pros: Hot cooked breakfast, great lobby and lounge. Good experience.
Creekside Inn is a great choice for a stay in Bishop. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Rooms feature kitchens and balconies.
Pros: The front desk staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The room was disgusting, the bedding was dirty and the room was overall unclean.
A great choice for a stay in Bishop, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bishop features an airport shuttle. The indoor pool is a great spot for a morning swim, and guests can get a workout in at the fitness center. A spa tub and a sauna are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Room was clean, service awesome Penny at the front desk is amazing. One thing I don't like is slow internet didn't have chance to go online at all :(((
Pros: New rooms. New TVs.
Cons: Terrible Internet. Don't even think about watching Netflix.
Pros: I had a nice stay at the Vagabond Inn. It was very quiet even though it's on the main road in Bishop.
Pros: Fish clean station , dinner discount, ice machine convince
Cons: People smoking on the sitting on the stairs
Pros: We've stayed at the Vagabond several times. Although they were hurt by a fire, they are rebuilding the facility and are doing a nice job at it. The rooms are modest but clean and nice and this is not a luxury area anyway. Many of the people staying here are travelers seeing the Sierra Nevada and for family and groups of friends it's a great place. Reasonable price and nice rooms.
Pros: Overall a great hotel with both breakfast and pool
When visiting Bishop, Vagabond Inn Bishop is a great choice to consider. Guests can hang out at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool, or grab a bite to eat at Dennys restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A spa tub and a garden are offered, and in-room conveniences include refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable. Love the wood look floors!
Cons: Pricey for a Motel 6. We paid $147 on our way to Oregon, and $125 on our way back to Arizona. Kayak saved us some money the second time! A Google search is how I found Kayak.
Pros: Clean and spacious
Cons: hair dryer only at main office, low quality toiletries,
Motel 6 Bishop is located off US 395/N Main St. Restaurants and shops are nearby. Sierra Mountain Center, California's premier mountaineering school and guide service is within 1 mile. Enjoy our smoke-free modern guest rooms and free Wi-Fi.
Cons: 140$ A night for a hotel with very poor quality. everything felt cheap.
Pros: Clean and quiet.
Pros: I've stayed in Bishop a bunch of times at multiple hotels and I'd put this in the top 3 hotels in Bishop.
Clean room, all the necessary amenities, no complaints at all.
Pros: This was a great hotel at a reasonable price. It appears that the room was recently remodeled and the rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast was great for us and our kids. We would definitely stay there again!
Cons: The heater was a bit loud but not unreasonable. We stayed in a room that had an adjoining door to another room and we could hear everything going on in the other room. Not sure if that was because it could be used as an adjoining room or if all their walls are that thin.
Pros: Room layout was nice, room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No insulation in the walls. Plumbing noises from multiple rooms nearby were loud and conversations from people outside were as loud as if they were in the room itself.
Pros: Liked being close to main st. Walk to shops and restaurants. Staff friendly.
Pros: Let's start from the beginning; the man at the front desk (I think he was the manager) was very kind when we arrived and allowed us to check in early (he even had the custodial staff clean a room special for us).
While the room was small, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were THE BEST pillows we've ever used in a hotel (my fiancé says they're better than the ones at home lol). The shower/tub was nice and had really good water pressure and the hot water came out almost immediately. There was a flat screen TV in the room (probably ~30"), which was nice as well!
The fish cleaning station/freezer (not listed on website or, not that I had seen) were very nice! No nasty residue or gunk from inconsiderate fisherman.
Cons: The room itself was very small and difficult for the two of us to navigate without banging into each other. The fridge was also VERY small! Like a MINI fridge; probably 2'X2', barely enough to fit more than a six pack...of soda :)
The pool and jacuzzi were both dirty; quite a bit of debris in each. The pool was also very cold! It was hot out, but not hot enough to warrant a swim in that ice cold water.
There was a female employee that was extemely rude when we had called to get some items for the room. She said we would need to come to the lobby to get the supplies and then hung up abruptly. Really? The other employee was happy to walk the 20' to our door to give us towels. Did not make us very happy.
Pros: Good location and comfy beds. Friendly staff.
Cons: Bathroom floor and shower were dirty. The carpet was so dirty it turned your feet black!

Pros: The room was comfy, staff was nice, and it was quiet. I would stay again.
Cons: No complaints from me, it was a wonderful stay
Pros: Comfy bed and nice linens. Cute, quaint atmosphere in the room. Entire place was quiet and peaceful. Direct TV was a plus, it was nice to have the guide and tons of channels. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Wifi password should be posted in the room, instead I had to call someone to get the password. Combo AC/Heater unit was loud and a bit annoying (compared to other heating options) because the fan was always on.
Pros: Quiet, easy to walk to places in town
Cons: Parking. If you have a compact car it would be fine, however, a truck and it's good luck.

Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and premium bedding.
Pros: I'm happy I didn't book more than a night. But it is right in the heart of Bishop. Okay as a last resort.
Cons: Lobby locked at night. Had to stand in the cold to check in after midnight. Room needs an update. Furniture is old. I was afraid to sit on the couch. Had a funny smell. At least could use a steam clean. Fireplace in the corner seemed out of place...didn't even work. Recommend Holiday Inn, Creekside Inn, or LaQuinta at comparable prices if staying in Bishop.

Pros: Somewhat cheap and off the main highway.

Cons: Shower leaked, shower way to small, window had no locking mechanism, toilet=something out of the 40's, small half refrigerator very noisy, speaking of noisy-let me tell you about the ancient air conditioner. A/C was mounted high on the wall so you were unable to set or adjust without standing on the old desk chair. Lighting is old and antiquated. I give this motel a zero rating...
Pros: Everyone we crossed paths with was helpful and friendly. Good location.
Cons: It was not a good value. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was noisy- close to the road. The room we stayed in had a full kitchen but we did not use it.
Pros: Clean and quiet, good value relative to other hotels/motels in the area. Front desk guy (manager? owner? ) was very personable.
Cons: The place is pretty dated, but renovations are probably out of the question for a place this small.

Cons: outside of motel was dated as were the hallways
Pros: fairly comfortable, Nice Staff and good breakfast
Cons: Parking is very tight, my doors got badly dinged by guy in next slot. Little difficult to get from lot into room, long hall to walk down, you need to request a room close to an exit, if you don't mind the noise
Pros: Location. Right on 395
Cons: Room to small including the bathroom. Shower head discharged water in a stream. Could not adjust it to a spray. Ok for business but not for family travel with more than 2 people.

When visiting Bishop, Townhouse Motel is a great choice to consider. Guests can take a dip in the seasonal outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The window heater was difficult to control. A thermostat would have been better.
Pros: The television was newer and had a nice picture.
Cons: The motel was in a residential/commercial area and not near any other business. The parking was tight at best and it was difficult to get in and out of the lot. It was relatively clean but many of the fixtures were old and didn't work. The third riser on the second floor stairs was higher than the others and my wife and I both tripped when bringing in our luggage. There were few outlets that were accessible because of heavy furniture so you couldn't plug anything in. All in all, I should have spent a little more and reserved a room in the Best Western or La Qinta down the street!
Cons: Everything disgusting extremely run down should be demolished

Pros: Convenient location right off the highway. Also close to Jack's restaurant and a nice coffee shop, which is important because the continental breakfast is a joke.
Cons: This would be acceptable as a cheap motel if it was priced like a cheap motel. Perhaps there was some local event driving a price spike, but this was a Tuesday. Staff was not particularly welcoming. Bizarrely, various articles in the room bore logos of other hotels for some reason.
Pros: I'm a photographer living in Yosemite, so I am usually out all day. When I am in the room I found the hotel to be easy to find, near a local restaurant I like and parking is close to all rooms. Lots of TV channels, and an AC unit that is very cold were also very nice.
Overall I think I will return for the fall photo season.
Cons: My room was near the janitorial closet which had some sort of phone or intercom going off quite often. The room lights were also a little harder to find and not incredibly bright, but I blame that more on the bulbs than the number of lights.
Pros: Nice town and easy for walk everywhere. Nothing special in this motel. Staff was nice and room was clean. Ok for 1 night stay.
A great choice for a stay in Bishop, Thunderbird Motel features a free airport shuttle. Free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: They claim "renovated" rooms, they are painted over and still smelly and crappy. Nothing new about the bathrooms or furniture or equipment. The property is in disrepair all over. They price high and offer low-grade everything. The lighting is TERRIBLE. The pool is small, dirty and gross. The "breakfast" is a poor excuse for a soup kitchen side. Days old white bread and packages of high-fructose-corn-solids-induced oatmeal with no hot water avaliable. No coffee either with no one to ask for additional items. essentially: NO BREAKFAST. This place is gross and terrible, stay somewhere else.
Also, our room wasn't ready till 6pm.
Pros: Don't stay here! It was dirty, lots of broken things in the room, bugs in room, hard matters, etc. air conditioner didn't work and window wouldn't open. House keepers were friendly.
Pros: Good location
Cons: We didn't enjoy the young lady behind the desk that laughed in our faces for simply asking her where a good place to get dinner was. She was not helpful and very rude!
Pros: It was ok that they had rooms available
Cons: Too bad that the carpet still had water stains right at the bathroom entry. It looked real bad since the only way possible the carpet would get water stains that bad would come from a toilet back up spill
Pros: The value
Cons: Some of the carpet was coming up and dirty, One of the lamps didn't work, the tile in the bathroom was broken, the tissue dispenser came of the the wall and the shower curtain hanger was installed improperly so the curtain would not stay closed. And the first man who checked us in was surly to say the least.
Pros: Stayed here because it was cheapest. Nothing special but it served its purpose. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone not looking for anything fancy. Overall good experience
Cons: Just the heater was a little noisy but only had it on for 10 min to warm up room so not really a problem.
Pros: The only thing I liked was the view of the mountains.
Cons: Staff is rude. Rooms are smokey and scummy. Bathroom walls had stains. I don' t recommend this hotel at all.
Pros: My stay at Super 8 was very good.
Cons: I requested for a non-smoking room but was placed in a smoking room. The motel manager told me they don't honor my request because it was on-line booking.
I wasted several calls to Kayak customer service but can't switch the room.
Cons: Everything else. Carpet torn and dirty, Only shampoo. Breakfast a farce.
Stayed at one other Super 8. It was a little better, but still bad enough to that Super 8 off my list of do able motels.
Cons: Wifi was unreliable. Front desk staff was VERY unfriendly.
Welcome to Super 8 Bishop, CA. The motel is easily accessible from Hwy 395 North and South. The Super 8 has an outdoor swimming pool, guest laundry and offers a SuperStart Breakfast every morning. All guestrooms have free wireless high speed internet access, in room coffee, hair dryer, alarm clock radios, refrigerator and remote control cable TV. We do allow pets for a 10USD per night charge. The motel is walking distance to downtown Bishop where there are many restaurants. We do have truck, bus, RV parking. The Super 8 Bishop is 30 miles from Mammoth Lakes Resort area.
Cons: Wi-Fi didn't work. Same issue every year I stay there.
Cons: The fridge was full of ants and the motel made no effort to clean them up, despite frequent rests. No wireless in the rooms. The 'continental' breakfast was seldom ready before 8 am.
Pros: Bishop is close to Mammoth, and the motel is pretty close to the "downtown" bishop area.
Cons: At midnight I found a small bed bug crawling around by my head. I flipped some pillows over and found larger full sized ones crawling around. Horrible night, the place is a dump, should be razed.
Pros: Big bed
Cons: Shower did not drain and breakfast was aweful.
Cons: I stayed one night on the 16th of Sept. before meeting friends for a backpacking trip into the mountains. At first they could not find my reservation that I had made an hour earlier until I went back to my car for my iPad to show them. Then they found it. Fine! The motel is old and a little shabby, but for one night, no problem. When I returned from my backpacking trip nine days later I discovered I had been charged for a second day On the 18th of Sept. for $68.
I called and talked to someone about reversing the charge and was told she could not find the charge and would have to call me back. I was never called back and I am disputing the charge through my USAA Visa. I just don't trust these people. They are either incompetent of dishonest. You chose??
