What are the pros of staying at Sherlock Apartments?
The apartment was comfortable and ideal for our short stay. Also the location in the Vecriga neighbourhood was amazing and helped us to explore better the city. Fantastic location in old town so easy to get to all the sights. Very quiet in apartment no noise from any other apartments Owner very prompt to reply to any messages Able to leave bags in apartment for late check out Very clean with cooking facilities and lites of space excellent value for money . I would fully recommend staying here I had an amazing time at Sherlock Apartments. The location is perfect and the host reply very fast and was very helpful. The apt is huge and very clean! You can just walk downstairs and you are in old town in Riga, close to great restaurants and bars. Location was great, spacious rooms, confortable bed. Excellent Great location. Very comfortable bed and sofa bed. Perfect location, amazing design. location was good The location is perfect. The facilities in the apartment were great. Spacious and clean rooms, 2 baby cots were available upon request, well-thought through details, kitchen equipment, etc The fact we were able to get access to the staff's washer and dryer. Wasn't the most convenient but we made it work. No breakfast. In center of old Riga, most everything accessible. location very central, recommended Location and interior is amazing. All you need for a holiday. Fully equipped room beginning with bed sheets, ending with cleaning products, sponges and dishes. Location is very central. Friendly landlord, working AC, TV. Perfect location
What are the cons of staying at Sherlock Apartments?
Bed was very uncomfortable and hard POOR VENTILATION - unfortunately cannot keep window open because of the street noise. Nothing We were a few floors up which didn’t bother us but if you have mobility problems you may struggle as there is no lift A lot of noise and music outside the street It’s not well equipped Cold and the bathroom is not nice There was a coffee machine but not proper coffee to make it, old building so no elevator. Outside the main door near the gate no light the shower was pathetic - hardly any water at all from the overhead so I had to hold the hand held part - there is something wrong with it Minor observation. I would have liked more light. There were bulbs burnt out in the chandeliers in the main area. The window in the main living area did not let in a lot of light so having the light bulbs out made it darker. Kettle was broken Our room 4 was very loud on Fri and Sat night, but surprisingly our kids slept well and we were in a mood to stay up long and watch series, so we didn't care this time, lol. Other rooms are probably calmer, ours was right above the bar. Altogether Old Riga seems to be very nice and central and safe but that's not a calm place :) Also no elevator, for whom that's crucial Wish it had better access to washer and dryer. Bed could have been less squeakier. we had to make the bed for our son sleeping on the sofabed, I would have been happier to find it already made considering our arrival time (11pm) Uncomfortable pillows and no cheap parking nearby All was amazing

Opt for a Room on Higher Floors
Some guests mentioned that higher floors are quieter and offer better views, but note that there is no elevator in the building.
Consider Noise Levels
Several guests noted that the street noise can be bothersome, especially on lower floors, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or choose a room on a higher floor.

Take Advantage of the Central Location

Inquire About Late Check-Out
Guests were able to leave their bags in the apartment for late check-out, so it's worth checking with the staff about this option if needed.
Be Mindful of Mobility

Check Pillows and Bed Comfort
