the stay was very relaxing, and the staff very freindly, i will be coming back again soon if the prices stay at the same level.
Size and comfort of room
Shower - poor water pressure and fitting hanging loose from wall! Also, telly in room needs updating - very small!
The rooms are a good size, but in need of modernisation and improvement - cracked tiles in bathroom, small double bed - all looked very cheap. Needs huge investment in the hotel. Gardens were nice.
Food not great, rooms not up to standard, bar too expensive, in serious need ot huge investment - will not be recommending to friends.
A very pleasant restful resort.
The swimming pool area was not as clean as I would like.
Pleasant helpful staff, very nice position, the food was very good.
We found the bed small.
The peaceful atmosphere even though busy. The comfort including the large bathroom with its good shower. The reception staff were excellent.
No duvets. A very slight degree of casualness by staff at breakfast time. No evening bar meals to allow the alternative of casual dining.
The staff were very professional yet remained friendly and approachable. Roscommon is not a place I would have selected for a break - I had to be there on business, but after my night in the Abbey I would consider staying there again on a leisure break.
I felt the entrance from the road should have had better lighting.
The food was very good, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Friendliness of staff
Double bed too small
We thought the rooms were very good. A nice size we had the double family rooms. Everything was clean and of a good standard.
There was nothing we disliked.
