6.0 Good
Cons: Staff put us in a room that wreaked of smoke. Called front office 3 times to get a new room, no response. Angry, I called again to complain, Front Desk hung up on me because "I was raising my voice". Front Desk then called back, like they were doing me a favor, and with lots of attitude, and said they found a new room. A half hour later we had a new room that was smaller, without the two Queen beds we paid for, but didn't smell of smoke. One elevator had a key reader that didn't work, so we couldn't get to our room unless we used the other elevator. Before staying here, I would share a sidewalk with a homeless person and sleep on the ground.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Stayed out late on New Year's Eve. Woke up the next morning and there were no pillowcases on the pillows that we were sleeping on in the bed. Also the inside of the shower was not cleaned the glass was not wipe down. Ran the thermostat on 80° and it never got hotter than 70° in the room it was cold. And very low water pressure in the shower, impossible for two people to take a shower at the same time.
4.5 Okay
Cons: I booked a room at this hotel for one night december 26th 2015 I showed up late at 5:00 pm due to bad traffic The staff told me the room was not ready with very rude attitude. I asked when would it be ready . The female staff returned with " i dont know " in a very rude way I was not happy with her reply. What did it mean by i dont know. I should be ready for us to check in at 3:00 pm. However, the thing i got frustrated was the attitude from the unfriendly female staff :). I got to my room eventually. There was no towels . What the heck? It took another hour for us to get towels. :). I asled for the rollaway bed twice. It never came. I would never return to this hotel again. Stay away from it. Or else it may ruin your vacation/holiday spirit
7.7 Good
Pros: * Very nice inside * Extremely clean
Cons: * Smallest king room that I have ever stayed in (even among boutique hotels) * Hot tub was not working, despite being brand new - I came to Reno for Tough Mudder and that was one of my main reasons for staying there was to come back and soak in a nice new hot tub
5.1 Okay
Pros: Nice river view room, clean
Cons: No mention the property is distressed financially, spa, pool and restaurants are closed for "renovations". Not a lick of construction activity could be observed. Front desk at check in, shared the casino " closed last year" and will not reopen when the property is rebadged in 2016-17. Other guests were equally mislead and frequently mentioned their opinion of the deception when
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was big enough. Bathroom was spacious. looks pretty on the outside & lobby. Self parking is huge. Affordable pricing.
Cons: Pillow was too soft. Shower head was old, water pressure was too soft. There was no vent in the bathroom & couldn't lock the door. Not enough outlets to plug near nightstand & speaker dock was only for iPhone 4, needs to be upgraded. Casino was closed.
6.0 Good
Pros: the rooms were nice, clean. the staff was every friendly overall a nice hotel. if you are looking for just a hotel. Karl the bar tender was great!
Cons: the web site shows a casino and restaurants. the only place to eat there was a Johnny rockets. the a/c hardly worked and was every loud.water pressure was really weak.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel room was cleaner than the rest of the property. The hotel is in the process of becoming a No Smoking and No Gaming property. Which for me is a huge plus
Cons: Hotel under renovation as it is converted to Renaissance. Had trouble finding hotel due to lack of signage. Air Conditioner unit is in room with no thermostat control Mattress was extremely uncomfortable Rooms were not well insulated for noise. Noise in the corridor all night long.
7.7 Good
Pros: Good value for money
Cons: Noisy rooms
6.5 Good
Pros: I liked that parking was "free"(although they charge you a hotel fee so i guess it isn't really) and the rooms had a refridgerator already in them. There was a convenience store close by. The hotel was quiet and not as busy as the casinos down town.
Cons: It wasn't downtown. I thought the walk would be a little shorter but due to the construction sometimes it took a little longer. Also, there was no casino for gambling.
7.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Accomodated us with our request for early check in for free.
Cons: There was a hair in the towel. Casino was closed for renovation.
6.2 Good
Pros: I loved the restaurant inside, good food. I liked the swimming pool and how it looked inside. The staff that cleaned the rooms were nice.
Cons: I didn't like the small rooms, for the price. Bathroom was small. The slot machines weren't good. Inside the gambling area, not enough action. The server that was bringing drinks on the gambling floor, was not friendly at all. They need to bring better slot machines and entertainment to get more people in there. Seems more business like and not a kid friendly place. Alot of people working there, didn't seem happy. Could be due to the rumor they're getting bought out next year.

4.2 Okay
Pros: They stuck us in the West Wing- an added hotel in the parking lot with an outside entrance in below freezing temps and the elevator was broken...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and very nice.
6.5 Good
Pros: The room is nice and clean. Parking is very convenient.
Cons: I asked the front desk to give me a quiet room in higher floor. But she gave me a room in lower floor and close to the fans. I can barely go to sleep with the noises from the fans.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, big rooms, nice restaurant options and large gaming area with many slot machines, video poker, table games, etc. Convenient to many resorts of the Lake Tahoe area for skiing and snowboarding. Good package deals available with room discounts and resort credit included.
Cons: Room was fairly dark even with the lamps on. Had to unplug a lamp to be able to plug in and use the keurig coffee maker in the room. Shower door has no handle on the inside to close it, had to grab bottom of door to close from the inside.
9.4 Excellent
Cons: Add ons start making hotel expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was friendly and genuinely interested in helping.
Cons: On premise restaurants seemed rather pricy.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was convenient for our purpose — volleyball tournament at Reno–Sparks Convention Center.
Cons: We were booked into the North Wing which feels separated from the main hotel and there are stairs in the hallway which requires some rooms to drag their suitcases up and down these stairs. Fortunately we were located on the 3rd floor which is the same level as the skywalk. Those who are not on this floor will need to take the elevator from the lobby to the 3rd floor then take a second elevator to get to their room.

7.1 Good
Pros: Hipster vibe, very friendly staff, downtown location, clean, good beds and sheets, nice big room. They are trying hard, with some good ideas. And some room for improvement. Stay here...give them the benefit of the doubt...enjoy the quirkiness.
Cons: 1. The restaurant and bar and room service closes at 9pm...10 pm... on the weekends. Seriously??? 2. There was not a guide to the hotel included in the room. A rock climbing gym that is the entire 2nd floor and one whole face of the building...kinda cool...but explain it to me. How's it work? Other services? 3. The menu under the glass top of the night table...really? Pretty cheesy. Put the menu in the hotel guide, see above. 4. Glass tops on the night tables? Really? 5. The bathroom was tiny and not well remodelled - tiny tub, shower head at about 5'3"...I'm 6'4", I could barely wash my armpits...
4.2 Okay
Pros: Renovated but it's still an old building. Has everything you would expect a hotel room to have. Good view. Staff was great.
Cons: Everything felt cheap. The room has only one winow ando the bath tub felt like it was flexing underneath me. Walls are very thin. And you can hear everything out side. Only parking was valet unless you wanted to walk.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The rooms are very nicely decorated and functional. It's a fantastic concept and has a wonderful feeling (except the odd red lights in the hallways) and could be so perfect with some management. The evening ladies (Matina and ?) running the concierge lounge were fantastic, friendly, area knowledgeable and very accommodating. Too bad they don't run the whole place, it would be a much nicer experience. Being able to have your kids and dogs with you was very nice. The location is great. The restaurant looked nice but we decided not to try based on the experience we had with staff and poor management in the hotel. Seemed like a good idea to avoid.
Cons: Never once saw a manager in 4 days. Poorly poorly managed. No one seemed to know what was going on or who was in charge. Housekeeping was awful..awful. Asked for extra blankets and were told by one they didn't have any. The never replaced our towels and never refilled our coffee pods or glass ware. Dirty sheets and towels piled down hallways for hours. Disgusting. We had to walk over mounds of dirty sheets and towels to get to our room. We even saw some sheets and towels with vomit and blood on them. Can't imagine the health department would approve. Just get a cart and leave at both hallway ends to put soiled linens in instead of having guests have to see this. It wasn't just a few minutes or even an hour, it was hours. Steve Wynn would flip a lid seeing this. Totally understaffed for New Years Eve holiday. 3 slow elevators that also serve for housekeeping and everything else so mornings are insane and takes 15-20 minutes to get down. Rude front desk staff, had no clue what was going on at all and seemed put off to even be asked a question. For some reason they cram all of the food items, toaster, etc. in a small corner section of the concierge lounge so everyone has to crowd in to that corner and wait for their toast, etc. It would be so much better to move the computer and printer into that corner space and spread the food items out on the long bar area at the end of the room or anywhere else in the nice big large rooms. Anyone with basic food and hospitality knowledge would quickly see this as an easy crowd control flow fix. The literature all says the lounge is open all day but whenever you try to access not during the breakfast or evening times, it was locked. The entrance to the hotel could use some updating, upgrading. Automatic doors would be nice as opposed to 2 sets of heavy doors that collapse on you as you come through with luggage and poor bellman. The showers had luke warm water and no water pressure. That was a major bummer.
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfort The bed was fantastic--one of the best I've slept in at a hotel. The rooms are kept very clean and the housekeeping staff are great. Location -Upside The location is very convenient and makes access to surrounding events and venues a short walk. Family Friendly Non-smoking and non-gaming make this a unique hotel perfect for families. The climbing walls (indoor and outdoor) looked like a lot of fun and I would have tried them had I not been so busy.
Cons: Cramped and slow The elevators are slow and malfunctioned several times during my stay. The entry felt as though I was sneaking in the back door of a night club. There was no convenience store and all of the public areas felt cramped. Location - Downside The convenient location can be a bad thing as my last night found me trying to sleep with a rock concert going on in the street literally under my window. Admittedly, though, I did try to go to bed early and the music was over by 10:30. Internet Deficiency The W-Fi was horrible. It was spotty and required accepting of the terms every time it reconnected. The Wi-Fi that's free with your stay was slower than my cell phone and the broadband we paid for in hosting a conference wasn't much faster. *What's worse, that broadband was down for two of the three days of our conference.* That was a whole lot of money down the tubes.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved almost everything about the hotel except it was a little pricey for the amenities it provides. Price is relative to surrounding hotels, but it seems to offer less overall unless you pay even more extra to access "Club Level" amenities.
Cons: Tried to eat dinner at Roundabout Grill, which is the restaurant located at the hotel, but order was taken incorrectly after being asked about it twice, so the wrong food was brought out then it took an extra 20+ minutes to get the correct food. The staff was very kind and accommodating in trying to correct the mistake, but due to time constraints with other activities, I was forced to ask for a refund and never had a chance to eat the food which was wasted along with the hour I spent waiting. This won't keep me from trying to eat there on another trip, but it was a pretty frustrating experience especially as a guest of the hotel.
6.0 Good
Pros: Coffer maker in the room was nice...personal Keurig
Cons: Breakfast was bad and one morning there was no hot food.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location and absence of casino.
Cons: Air conditioning poor. None in hallways. Minimally acceptable in room. Would not stay here again in summer months.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean non smoking and no casino with reasonable rate
Cons: No swimming pool
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the finishes on the walls... but the decor doesn’t hit the cool factor :/ The read initially comes across as trending woodsy industrial... but the silk trees in the big wood pots- they need to go. I suggest, put in real pine trees in huge containers. And use real flowers... the fresh scents of woods and flowers is essential to this kind of hotel. The staff was very friendly very helpful. Dining staff were also very nice. LOVE the filtered water stand on the room floors- awesome idea! Good work!
Cons: The dining menu was great... but need some cushion chairs- There is a room divider made up of wood logs- cool look but when I sat nearby for breakfast... the smell of moldy dampness pervaded the air... fix that- and fix the rickety rocking tables. Get an auto door opener at your Entry way—- or a handicap door opener. Get better seating in lobby. Those leather chairs...dysfunctional too low hung- - maybe some leather contemporary high back chairs for those taller folk that need to sit in the lobby for a meeting. Get rid of fake flowers- fake trees- use real flowers real greens and , and real trees. And fresh flowers on each floor lobby. Fresh, pure, real.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Place was clean looked modern.
Cons: The only Thing was the location it was in the heart of Reno but had a few pan handlers approach me. However I think that's just how Reno is now in general
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean property, friendly staff, great location and nicely decorated.
Cons: Slow elevators

Pros: The friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very convenient to the Reno Airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Cons: The walls are extremely thin. Unfortunately my neighbor had a winter cold, and was up coughing all night which meant I was up listening all night. The walls are so thin that I could hear when they pushed the off switch on the night stand. Also, the heating is not central, and the window system was very loud when it would kick on every couple hours. Overall, not a good night sleep. I was in room 223. Perhaps other rooms or floors have better insulation.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Maids did not make noise or attempt to enter the room until later in the morning. Location is fantastic. Place was clean and in good shape.
Cons: Once in a while the planes would make some noise early in the AM.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room and Accommodations
Cons: Had to call a cab to the airport. The shuttle doesn't run at 4am for an early flight. Very disappointing.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and isolated from the main strip of Reno.
Cons: When checking out, I politely asked the clerk if I can get a receipt. Instead of politely explaining to me that there's no receipt that they can give me, the clerk's tone of voice is annoyed and sounded like she don't need to answer what I was asking.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: None.
Cons: The room were not clean. You could find hair on the floor and shower. There were left over foods in the fridge from previous customer. It is not worth it.
7.4 Good
Pros: Like the overall location, and idea off GSR. There was good opportunity for activities and the room quality itself was good.
Cons: The casino still allows smoking in most public areas, which in 2018 is not really acceptable. Smoke fills the entire casino, and even was obviously present in my room on a non-smoking floor. My allergies and lungs were not happy. This was my third time at GSR, and, over the past 2 years the quality of the food served by their Grand Buffet and Grand Cafe has fallen off a cliff. The intended all-inclusive nature of the resort no long is appealing when you have to have food delivered before the food available on-site is repeatedly bad enough to need to complain to wait-staff.
4.0 Okay
Cons: GSR charge me more beside of Room Rate. -House keeping Gratuity -Resort Fee, Daily Resort Fee -Tourism Fee So don’t expect the price that you pay online is the exact amount that you only paying, when you get to the hotel they will ask you for another $50 that’s why they want your ID & Credit card. After you check out they will charge you all of this hidden fees.
7.1 Good
Pros: Getaroom(dot)com goofed and only reserved us for one night eventhough our conformation email said 2 nights. Hotel staff said they've had problems with kayak and getaroom reservations several times before. As for the room the only negative was the fact the refrigerator just made noise but never got cold.
Cons: We reserved 2 nights but getaroom/kayak only reserved us for 1 night. Refrigerator in room didn't work and our food was ruined. Resort fee increased. As for the rest of the room the beds were comfortable and the tv was huge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that there is a spa but it was difficult to get bookings
Cons: There were too much smoke in the area of the casino and around the hotel lobby some people were vaping so it was difficult for us
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Casino, Children’s Arcade, ease of checkin/ checkout Lot of activities for all age group.
Cons: Ability to make dinner reservations was not there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room very clean. Very large room we had a great view from our room. Loved the Casino area.
Cons: The drain in the shower was clogged and you were standing in water.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Were renovating rooms on the floor I was on. It was extremely loud and made it hard to sleep in after a night out.
6.2 Good
Pros: How close it was to the show that we were going to everything is right there whether it be going to another casino or going shopping
Cons: I stayed many times at the El Dorado in the past the staff was always so friendly at not only the hotel all the restaurants, bars, and Casino floors not so much this time They used to have awesome coupons that they gave you when you checked in I wasn't so impressed with them this time.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cheap room thin walls bad pillows air full of smoke
2.8 Mediocre
Cons: They down sized my original reservation from a king size bed to a queen size bed, because they didn't have any more available, the room they put me in it was to small, with a lot of malfunctions in it, like the tub was clogged, the shower temperature control handle wasn't working, room was dirty. Just to name a few. Very bad experience with it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the atmosphere, the staff was amazing. Great shows. I definitely plan on staying here again
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was adequate for what I needed. Loved the breakfast at 9:30 p.m. at Millies. Cinnamon french toast was awesome and my omelet was huge!
Cons: Although the room is smoke-free, getting through the casino and front desk is very much smoke filled. So just a heads up if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and peaceful! All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Liked everything.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Quieter rooms, a microwave, a regular couch, fans in the bathroom. But it was very clean and friendly staff! I also loved that you had valet parking and it was free!
Cons: The cafe was closed until Thursday.
6.5 Good
Pros: Friendly & efficient front desk staff and housekeeping, good beverage service in casino, adjoins the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus, large separate parking structure
Cons: Rooms are small and seriously need to be updated. Our A/C was on steroids, couldn't get it to calm down, so we had to bundle up in the room, which is better than being too hot, but still.... 95 degrees outside and really too cold inside. Food in coffee shop was pretty bad (and we generally are quite happy with generic hotel coffee shops).
6.5 Good
Pros: location
Cons: we had continous problem with A/C not working, and took them hours to get around to looking into it only to have it break down again in the middle of the night. Hotel is aging with poor maintenance and we stayed in their best room.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were both friendly and patient with a first time casino gambler like myself. The restaurants were also pretty good. Overall, it's a very well run hotel
Cons: HBO would have been nice. Other than that, I really can't complain. For other novice gamblers, I strongly suggest eating at one of the restaurants before visiting the casino.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location (edge of Reno, rather than the heart. Good for people passing through) Beds Price Casino (updated and clean) Windows in the rooms Rooms were updated
Cons: Common space like hallways and elevator were dingy Smoke smell EVERYWHERE, even non-smoking rooms Bathrooms in rooms were not updated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. There were several dining options to choose from. We ate in the coffee shop twice and the portions were big and a reasonable price. The marina outside our room was very nice and looked relaxing. If we are in the area again we will plan on staying there.
Cons: The casino had a very smoky smell
6.5 Good
Pros: The room itself was fairly nice. Beds were fine and the decor, though gaudy, was appropriately themed and tasteful.
Cons: Registration was damned hard to find, the place reeks of cigarettes, and there is a lot of mold in the bathroom walls and shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the location being so close to the freeway and shops and restaurants were easy to find. And the Casino restaurants were very good and I enjoyed playing Black Jack at the tables.
Cons: It was a bit loud at night but being attached to a casino I understand that you're going to have people going in and out of their room at all hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The neatness, friendliness of the staffs and above all the location is fabulous.
6.0 Good
Cons: i thought it was stupid that I had to do a $50 dollar deposit when I checked in. The point of paying ONLINE was to pay for EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE!! The stay was ok. I only slept for one night there, so it was fine but the HIDDEN FEES is just terrible. Oh and people could smoke inside of the hallways of the hotel when it's a closed building. Overall, I just hated the dumb deposit.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: rooms were horrible. moldy bathroom, a/c didnt work, hair dryer didnt work, room felt dirty. ended up with a few bed bug bites. party above room until 2:30 am when finally called security. yuk yuk yuk !! never again. used to be okay. not any more.

Pros: easy to find
Cons: no breakfast
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Comfort of bed, spacious room, refrigerator, view of mountains. I had a nonsmoking room.
Cons: I had a nonsmoking room which was fine but the hallways smelled pretty strongly of nicotine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Saff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. Room on 4th floor had a view. On our first visit the pool & spa were closed. On our second visit the indoor pool was open and very enjoyable.
Cons: First visit - Pool & Spa were closed due to chemical balance issues.
4.0 Okay
Cons: The pictures didn't show the outside for a reason. The hotel rooms and hallways smelled musty, old, and smoky. I would not recommend staying here.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Conveniently located, plenty of parking.
Cons: Went to check out, realized that I left my wallet in my room. In that time, the room had been turned over a member of the staff and my wallet was gone. Upon reporting this to the front desk, they referred me onto security. The security guard who walked up told me that it may show up later. I asked if I could leave my phone number, and file a theft report. I was told that he wouldn't take my phone number, because he'd probably be too busy to call me and that I should just keep calling the lost and found. Thankfully, I was travelling with my girlfriend, or I wouldn't have been able to get home to Seattle. Thanks for nothing Western Village.
