Friends had stayed at this location a few days before us, and they relayed it was the right place to stay for what we were doing in the area. Ideal for a short visit (1 or 2 nights). The breakfast was superb...Plates hot, food hot, and well cooked, which friends had told us about. Service was excellent.
Nothing to complain or mention. Straightforward place serving good hospitality.
Good food and accommodation. Staff friendly.
Could do with more comfortable seating in the bar/ lounge area.
The food is excellent & the staff are always friendly. They are also properly dog friendly
This was our third visit - this time wasn't so enjoyable. When we arrived the TV's did not work in any of the rooms, we were told they would be fixed next day but they were not. The shower stopped working on the last morning whilst my husband was in the middle of his ablutions & I have to pass him glasses of warm water to finish his shower. We reported this at check out & asked for some kind of goodwill gesture but were told that nothing could be done so we left feeling decidedly disheartened - we will not be returning, shame
THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT, PIPING HOT, GOOD PORTIONS, GOOD SELECTION - ALSO SAME STANDARD EVENING FOR EVENING. MEALS.
ITS OLD BUT VERY TRADITIONAL - JUST WHAT WE HAD HOPED FOR. I FOUND THE LITTLE STAIRS EVERYWHERE, AS I HAVE GOT BAD EYESIGHT. LOVELY AND WARM IN THE ROOMS AND IT IS DOG FRIENDLY.
