The location is very central and the receptionist was friendly.
The room was not clean. When we had to wipe up some water we spilled on the floor we realized that the dark floor was very dirty. When I tried to get into bed there was sand on the sheets. When I looked at the sheets it was obvious they had not been changed. The next day the beds were not changed or made. When I spoke to reception about this on check out she did give me a $35 credit for my dissatisfaction. The entire room was slanted towards the front of the motel, and there seemed to be an electrical short in one of the plugs.
Nice island with very good tourism opportunities....
The door of the room and the bathroom did not close easely..... We told that to the receptonnist as we arrived, but nothing as been made during our location.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean enough that I felt at ease to sleep in it. The beds were comfortable and they had many comforters if you like having more like I do.
But the bathroom looked clean at first glance but wasn’t the best. A few joints were blackened and there were spider webs on the ceiling. The fan was very weak and could NOT get rid of the steam when taking a shower. The whole bathroom was wet and sticky after a short shower and if you opened the door to let some of the steam out, the whole room gets sticky too obviously. The shower was always changing temperature. One second it’s warm, the next it’s boiling hot, one minute later it’s cold AF! I think the water kept changing every time someone else was using it too... not fun. The coffee maker (Keurig) was disgusting... I made a hot chocolate and it tasted like old plastic. I couldn’t drink more than one sip. The walls are paper. I could hear other people in their bathroom... and everyone getting up in the morning which is what woke my BF and I up. It is all not the biggest deal if you’re spending one night there but if you’re planning a longer stay, I’d go for a more recent hotel.
Friendly reception, helpful and useful guide to local attractions and dining. Excellent for active folk and for pets. Very friendly.
The water system, faucets in our room had an odd way of turning on in either direction, shutting off tap was a balancing exercise. Cars race by, be careful walking in the morning.
Place is getting a bit old. Needs refreshment and is not well insulated.
