We upgraded to a Junior Suite when we arrived and were very happy with the room. Layout was great, we had a great view. It was too cold to utilize the pool or any of the outdoor dun stuff. While it deterred us, there were from crazy people laying by the pool in Parkas! Food was great - we only ate the breakfast Buffet Were got there around 8is, we were looking for something light to eat and a couple of drinks. When we sat down we were handed to Alma restaurant menu which is their fine dining restaurant. We were told that they took away the bar menu. Only other thing I noticed was that the gym was way to small. Felt claustrophobic and like they had just shoved every piece of equipmen that they could into this little tiny room.
Nice and quiet place.Staff was great, clean and updated rooms. The lagoon looks awesome on the picture, but in reality is a small pond, not even kids can swim there. This picture is a joke .Room was 250$ which ok,plus 85$ taxes and other fees and on the top 45$ resort fee.(we didnt take any extras).Nobody expect 380$ for one night.
Location, scenic, quiet Ageing facility, Wi-Fi coverage
Everything fun under the sun different zones for different vibes you want to feel tranquility pool for adults only, 24 hour pool for the entire family, kids play zone with pirate slide waterworks, with additional pool, beautiful property, free trams The valet (Dwight) was rude and standoffish. Georgina at the breakfast buffet was straight nasty and just needs to be fired after basically scolding my child, or have additional "training" I think the Dolphins could have done a better job dealing with the guests
Very clean and well staffed. Nicks and dimed you for activities that are normally included in the "resort fee" at comparable resorts
My family and I absolutely love this resort this is our second year coming here. I can't think of a single thing I would change. The staff is great and everyone is always smiling at Hawks Cay. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great family vacation.
The resort is thoughtfully layed out. The location is great. House keeping service was great. In my 3 day stay, I only ate at the resort. I got the worst food poisoning. I believe it was the Mediterranean platter poolside. I advised the reception desk and they just said they were sorry. No management followed up with me. For that I will not go back.
Great location isolated on a key, but close to other cities. There is plenty to do - snorkel, scuba, tennis, parasail, fish, or hang out on the great grounds. The facilities are well laid out, with family and adult only areas. It was a bit pricey but we booked late for the holidays. The food onsite was good but not excellent. You are very close to other restaurants though in Marathon and Islamorado.
Staff was great and very helpful. We stayed in a marina villa. It was perfect for our family of 5 (3 adult children) plus grandmom! The kitchen was well equipped, full size fridge and dishwasher. There was a washer and dryer in the second bathroom. The men loved the accessibility to fishing/ charters. The women loved the spa. The location of the resort is perfect. We could venture out to Islamorada(20-25 minutes) and get to Key West (1:15-20) too. Marathon is very close and you have access there to gas stations and grocery stores. There were planned activities everyday for all ages, although they usually cost extra. The wifi was very spotty despite having a router in the villa. Room service was a bit rude and unaccommodating. We only ordered once, so maybe it was just one person that left a bad taste. It would have been helpful to have some sponges/dish towels in the kitchen along with a few basics like salt and pepper and coffee filters.
Beautiful lighthouse behind the hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Nice size bathroom with shower head. The pull out sofa had white mold growing on the bottom of it. The room also had a funny smell the first day we were there. I prepaid through Kayak but the hotel tried to charge me the full room rate when I was checking out (over $115 more than I originally paid).
Location Nice pool Odor of room's carpet Lack of towels and accessories for quantity of people in room
Staff was great...rooms taken care of...great breakfast...nice overall experience...bathrooms in room fantastic. I would recommend to others. No hot tub...pool a tad small for facility size...beach further than stated..
ROOM AND SERVICE PEOPLE WERE GOOD AND HELPFUL NOT A "4" STAR LUXURY RETREAT BASED ON THE DAILY RATE BUT OK .
Great location, really nice amenities. We liked the setup too, smaller buildings built on the beach with a couple of lagoons. The pitch and putt course was great, as was the inclusion of sea kayaks, fishing poles, and tennis gear. NOT having stand-up paddle boards as part of the "resort fee" when virtually everything else is included is sort of dumb. The Atlantic Edge restaurant is pretty good, but way over priced for the fare when compared to other local restaurants. That said, there are LOTS of other local places so don't feel compelled to spend twice as much for a piece of fresh local fish.
Loved it, the amenities were great considering most resorts charge you for all the activities. The food and service was great and the place is so beautiful and lush.
Everything! Felt very private everywhere! The grounds were beautiful. Decor elegant. Staff very nice and incredibly accommodating. Service at bar and restaurant a little slow to start. Would like the pool water to be a little cooler.
Great facility. Easily accessible. Professional and courteous staff members. Nice and clean
The room had old Florida charm, but in a clean and cheerful way. I loved it! We are looking forward to our next visit!
The room was great! Had everything we needed and more! Wish we booked more days. We will be back!
No one cleaned outlet rooms.
We have been going to the Islander on and off from before they had AC and only jalousy windows to the present so I guess we love it's old Florida atmosphere;especially off weekends. We also like the Pet Friendly atmosphere. If you want a wild time weekends are it
I liked the lanai, and the convenient access to the beach. The breakfast was excellent and the wait staff were so friendly. They were locals and gave us great advice on activiities that our grandchildren would appreciate. The beach and the pools were super. The zero entry into the pool was awesome. There are also great opportunities for water activity rentals-kayaks, sailboats, water cycles etc. Bandwidth on the wifi is inadequate for peak times in the evening.
We liked everything about the resort. Nice quiet relaxing place Nothing
The room was nice and spacious. We enjoyed being able to walk down and access the water without having to go anywhere. The restaurant was delicious and workers were super friendly. The front desk staff when we checked in weren't very engaging. Even when we checked out they were very matter of fact and didn't try to engage us. When we were walking out there was one that ask if we had fun and enjoyed our stay. She definetly out shined anyone else working in that department.
Perfect location. Make sure to wake up for the sunrise.. Shouldn't be missed. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. Great value! We've never eaten on property but supposedly a continental breakfast is included. I've tried to book directly through hate on weekends and they have two night stay policy which is silly for the keys.
Nice relaxing ocean front resort. Rooms somewhat dated but very clean and comfortable with a mini kitchen. Pool and bar area very new. Lots of room with 2 pools and a very large beach. I would definitely go again. Good value for Florida Keys. Check in was a bit rough, room not ready on time
The resort is in a wonderful location right on the beach. The pool and beach bar are beautiful. The rooms were large, fresh and clean. Loved having a kitchenette and a screened-in porch! We'll definitely be back!
Very peaceful, lots of grounds, it doesn't have the feel of lots of people on property. An adults pool. Several different areas on the property to relax - adult pool, lagoon pool huge beach for the keys Yes - the room did not have a few things that should be standard in the room - glassware, toaster It took several calls to the front desk, an approach to a housekeeping person and then finally a walk to the front desk - 3 hours to get 4 little glass's for the room.
Beautiful property, large rooms, full kitchen, balconies off each bedroom and back porch off living room. Incredible sunset views from beach. Huge, family-friendly pool with exquisite landscaping. Awesome workout facility. Need mats inside back door, the tile floors were very slippery. Housekeeping does not come daily. I would have liked to have the beds made and floors swept daily.
We loved our condo, the proximity to the pool and beach, the grounds, and the Tiki Bar!
I enjoyed the peace and quiet! We've stayed at Tranquility Bay before, so I knew what to expect. Our room was clean and fresh each day. More eating spots or hidden away vending machines...
Great Position, and very nice accomodation, beautiful grounds. Nearby, Steak and Lobster restaurant worth a visit, proper American food at reasonable prices Service charges and Taxes jack up the already hefty costs. Beach Bar chaged $5 for a very small fruit juice for the children PLUS 18% service. Kitchen ware not very comprehensive, lack of furniture in lesser bedrooms.
Great! Beautiful accomodations. Nice facility! Odd smell out by beach
The 2-bdrm beach house was charming, immaculate, very comfortable and spacious. The beach was very nice and quite large. The Butterfly Cafe on the premises was an excellent restaurant. Our neighbors were playing some loud music. It stopped after about an hour, so we never complained.
The resort had excellent facilities for self catering and a restful holiday. Beautiful grounds, spacious villas - we had a 3 bedroom villa for a family of four, which would easily have slept 6 and 8 at a push. No, we loved everything
Nice rooms, beautiful pools, etc No possibility to print out check-in documents, very unfriendly staff. No reaction on complaints
We stayed there for one night with another couple. We enjoyed it so very much and will be returning. It is more beautiful than we had all expected. Great bang for the buck!
Key Lime Martini!! I liked our Waiter (Cheryl)@Butterfly restaurant and Bartender@ Tiki (Styphon)... Too much attention to what one can't do!!! Makes a coldness about the place, to be soo nice.
Very modern room...although short on electrical outlets. Large, comfortable, and clean for a beach hotel. Lots of beach activities included in price which is great. Front desk clerks very nice and helpful. The hallways...made of concrete which is understandable but in your room you can hear guests walking, talking, etc.
The property is very nice on the outside, where you spend most of your time. All staff was helpful (water equipment rental booth, front desk, and maintenance) Came to the Keys hoping to see iguanas and they had a large family hanging out in a remote section of the property! Water equipment is free to use daily for about an hour at a time. There is no area to grill. As a returning renter, I was disappointed their massive bar Rum Runners is permanently closed. The Tiki Bar was under renovation, and the room prices don't seem to fluctuate to reflect that, thus upon arrival my full expectations were not met. Obvious A/C leaking causing water damage to ceiling suggests they need to spend time inspecting/repairing units.
The location was great! The pool is ok but gets better after a few drinks. The beach activities are fun too. Had a great time snorkeling and paddle boarding. The food was AMAZING and very reasonable priced. The $25 resort fee is a joke(it includes parking, internet, and beach activities). If I have paid for a hotel, I don't want to have to pay more once I get there just to check in. The rooms were very small and had non functional furniture. There is nowhere to store your clothing. The water trampoline had a big tare in it so bouncing was out. The large inflatable rafts in the lagoon all had popped and were removed from the water during our stay. The pool was ok but really needed some upkeep. The bar looked like it was about to topple over into the pool. The alcohol was overpriced. All and all, we had a good time with our friends and family but I doubt I would come back. The resort was way too expensive for the value I received.
Did not know the tiki bar was closed for renovations. But overall was a good place to stay for the money.
The location, ocean view, amenities and friendly staff Both bars closed for renovation. Bars that were open had rotting wood and mildew. Frozen oysters at raw bar.
I am a female police officer. I went on a mini vacation and stayed in this hotel. Staff, food and cleanliness were great. But I do have a safety suggestion that I unfortunately realized how unsafe this was until I had a bad experience. When you check in they ask you to put on a wrist band that you cannot take off (even if you try) so employees can verify you are a guest at the hotel. Not a problem until you leave the hotel and go to different locations in the area and bump into someone local and unfortunately don't have good intentions or they are a habitual criminals and are familiar with tourist wearing their hotel name on the wrist. This makes them know a few things: 1) that they are a tourist (not familiar with area) making the tourist an easy target. Marking them as an easy target to rob them as tourist usually carry cash on them. Break into vehicles since tourist shop for gifts. 2) and the most important and unfortunately it happened to me. The suspect/offender will know where you are staying making it easy for them to plan the crime. I had an unknown male approach me while I was listening to music and having dinner and drinks with my female friend at a restaurant nearby. Male extended his arm as if he was introducing himself. He made it seem as if he was the manager so I politely extended my arm and shook his hand. He introduced himself. He was a customer. He asked me if he can buy me a drink and hang out with him. I kindly declined as I am a married woman. Little did I know or realized he already knew where I was staying because that's when he took advantage and read the bracelet that sqys the hotel name. Long story short without going into details I saw this male the next morning in the property canvassing the area. Still didn't think much of it till I saw him at night again, qt which point he aggressively approached my friend and myself. I will not go into details but because of that bracelet I became a victim. I hope that policy changes where we do not have to wear anything advertising our 'home' location to everyone and anyone. That is our home when we go on vacation.
the grounds were lovely and well kept and a beautiful place. lots of lounge chairs etc. and the staff was wonderful, especially, dave at beach services and Lita at the pool bar . ate at the raw bar and the food was good.We had a wonderful time and the only draw back was the awful room. a very pretty place. the room was terrible. extremely small and poor lighting. bathroom was in need of work. except for the bed it was not a comfortable room to be in. a big disappointment ! there was no place to sit your things down or store your cases. smallest room I have ever stayed in.
I loved that the resort fee included paddle Boarding and kayaks Did not care for the choice of music played at the Saturday BBQ
the view of the ocean the pool the restaurants the tiki bar was under construction the hotel still needs some updating the bathtub was in poor condition the stairs need paint could use an elevator
friendly staff, fun atmosphere under construction, non working elevators, expensive for what you get
The place was really nice. Great location. Great restaurants in the area. The only issue was the shower. I can't descibe how bad it was. The room was nicely done but they forgot to update the shower. The shower and the maids. You couldn't even get them to say good morning. It became a game - who can get the maid to respond to good morning.
The location and staff were great. Our room was very noisy when others were in the hall or adjacent rooms; this made it very difficult to sleep. A construction crew started working outside of our room very early in the morning. Our A/C wasn't very cold. The resort is undergoing renovations, and the amenities in service are very dated. The area was under a small craft advisory during our stay and they wouldn't let us use the watersports equipment.
- The staff (at all levels) were super friendly; - The pool, tiki bar, and waterfront hammocks were awesome! We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if we were in the area
The staff was exceptional - took care of the snake in my room, showed me how to use coffee pot, and telephone, fixed the TV and put new battery in safe. All unnecessary if it had been done prior to my arrival. The decor is lovely and the grounds pretty and well kept. Liked the hot tub. Kudoos to Annette I don't think the room was checked prior to my occupancy. or been occupied in some time The TV didn't work, the safe didn't work (dead battery) no instructions as to use of phone, coffee pot. the floor of balcony was dirty, no instructions to prevent shower flooding bathroom. I don;t expect to have to call maintenance several times in a 4 day stay when I go for rest and relaxation. It is a handicap room and a flooded floor could cause me to fall...
I liked everything about it! The front desk member Annette was most helpful. I didn't bring my id to get drinks because I didn't want to lose it in the sand or water. I was denied a drink at the Amarca Bay bar outside. I recommend that there a be a system in place that allows guests to charge drinks to their room. Try temporary database of guest's proof of age to the Front desk conputers, or distribute a proof of age wristband.
Renovations were very well done has a luxury feel to it. Beautiful views pool side. Great little bocce court and swings and slide. Good central location in the keys. Small hidden hot tub. We reserved for 4 people and the uncomfortable pull out couch with springs in the mattress was only a twin. We tried to get another room each of the 4 nights with no luck. Lots of tiny jelly fish (sea lice) in the ocean entry area. I did not get stung, but both of my kids did.
Hotel was beautifully decorated with a nice pool, beach and outdoor bar Nothing
Great hot tub area, nice to have a bar right near the pool so you can have lunch pool side, little play area in the sand was a nice plus, very modern and the food was incredible. So many things...we asked for the nearest boat ramp and they directed us to one miles away when they had one on location. I called ahead and asked about accommodations. They said every room has a pull out couch. It was a pull out chair...not couch. Couldn't sleep our family comfortably. Wanted ice, 2 different staff directed me to 2 different floors where there wasn't an ice machine.
the beach is nice, not too many beaches in the keys. very nice view of the ocean, and it was great to be able to have access to swim in the ocean. the pool was very nice , as well, kids love the pool. The rooms and everything else were very comfortable. Because I am on a lower budget, the only way we were able to stay there was through a 3rd party offer. We were there only for 2 nights. Food and drinks are always pretty expensive at places like this, so I couldn't partake, as I would of liked.
The rooms are very nice but they are missing a microwave which is very much needed. They have a Keurig Coffee maker and a few K cups to get your day started, plus there is a mini fridge but there was no way to heat your coffee if you like to add milk and cream unless you go down to the front desk and ask them to heat it for you. One other plus was they did freeze our fish (caught from charter fishing) and held it until our departure. Just make sure to remember to pick it up upon your departure. :
The staff were exceptional especially Steve, Snl and David.i was in love with the decor and the cleanliness of the facility. I would definitely go back. And the view from our room was amazing. The construction that was in progress near the pool area was alittle annoying . Also did not care for the breakfast experience the food was just okay and very pricey for what you get.
The resort was clean and well designed and appointed after the renovation. They had given my reservation away and took a while to assign a room while they looked for the snafu. They did provide free drinks and breakfast for the delay, though! So that was thoughtful and accommodated for the delay.
There was some remodeling but I'm sure once lt's done it would be amazing
the rooms were big, nice beds bathroom was dirty also the towels were dirty ( they had hair on them) The service at the restaurant was slow
We absolutely loved staying here! The price is affordable for the Keys, continental breakfast included, free use of kayaks, free wifi that actually works, pool & hot tub, hammocks & comfy seating galore... This place is fantastic. We were looking for a relaxing getaway in a clean hotel & that's exactly what we got. I recommend the kitchen suite so you can cook your own meals to save money & because this hotel has no restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again anytime! It never bothered me, but you can hear highway noise, but hey, this is the keys, one main road running thru, so almost any hotel you will hear the highway.
Loved it and will recommend others, had a great time
Beachfront view, pier and comfortable rooms. The new restaurant, staff did not come across welcoming, we ordered cocktails which were very poorly presented and bland not to mention expensive. That was disappointing.
Beautiful views, super clean, spacious, quick check in, friendly staff, quality of bedding was awesome! We will stay here again and recommend to anyone I know coming to the area. Also the restaurant on site was delicious!! That we only stayed for one night!
Couldn't be better considering the price! Kayaks were free to use, you just had to reserve them at the front desk. A good number of hammocks and chairs around for guests to sit in while lounging around the common area as well. The room was beautiful with a fantastic view and a private deck, absolutely loved it!! There was also a kitchenette with dishes to use, so if you were staying there for longer you could make some food and eat at the little table in the room. There were reserved spaces for some of the rooms, but ours was a "B" numbered room so there was no real place to park, and we had to park our car off the highway in the grass next to the building.
My wife and I loved the view from our waterfront balcony!
Staff was attentive, friendly and made our visit very relaxing and pleasurable. Violet and Shelby were wonderful and met all of our lodging and resort needs.
Very nice layout.. Good size room. I drove through the night to arrive at the hotel. I then saw a sign stating open from 8 am to 10 pm. I had no where to go in the middle of the night. I had to go and get another hotel room. No where in any of the booking or confirmation letters was there any information stating to arrive by 10 pm. Apparently there is a sign the size of my hand in a pitch black front door area stating late arrivals to go to the back of building. This was very unclear and I was not satisfied with my experience
Rooms aren't anything too fancy but overall nice. But staying in the keys I don't think you need a lot inside because I'd imagine most are coming to be outside. The complimentary breakfast is basic (bagels, pastries, juice, etc) and you can buy eggs, pancakes, etc. The views are amazing! Right on the water and plenty of places to relax outside! Overall, nice stay.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The townhouse we rented was very clean and beautifully decorated. The outside premises was very clean and kid friendly. I loved the outdoor hammocks and open space for the children to play. I also like that they offer recreational activities for their guest. I wanted a later check out which was not available as well as the complimentary breakfast was somewhat limited. However it was very minor compared to the other fantastic amenities.
Location right by the water. Some of the rooms were remodeled. Continental breakfast only on the weekends. There was no breakfast on site. There was some muffins, but nothing you could eat that was nutritious or low-calorie There was remodeling and they were taking out the tile in the room next-door, which was unbearable during the day My reservation was messed up and they require me to change rooms checking out and checking back in the following day and I had nowhere to go till 3 o'clock. The reservation mixup was not my fault it was probably the hotel or hotels.com. However I was the one analyze and they made no effort to resolve this issue
The beds in our room was quite comfortable and all amenities worked fine. I have stayed at the Pelican Cove many times over the years so it is quite enjoyable there.
Captain Sue's Snorkel Charter, water activities, Fred at activity center More informative of resort layout at check in, assigned parking
Clean room Voices from next room
Free paddleboard, free kayaks, beautiful grounds, never felt crowded, clean updated rooms, the staff was great. The pool was a little small, the breakfast was just basic, the food was OK.
I like the coziness atmosphere and the beachfront property!!!! Rooms are not well sound proof and we can hear every noise from upstairs or outside :-(
We were absolutely thrilled with our room, which was spotlessly clean, bright, had a full kitchen, and a balcony. The resort had upgraded us to a room with a pool view/ocean view. Staff were extremely helpful, and welcoming. Our only regret was that we had only one night there. Our only disappointment was that an all male reunion of some sort booked in the same day we did. And they became louder, and their language more offensive, with each drink they had. However, the hotel staff appeared to do the best they could, and the partying appeared to have been stopped by about 10:30 PM.
Great holiday buffets, free parking passed to local events. Small pool, pool was only open until 10 pm on holiday weekend.
Location general feeling activities Breakfast can be better
I liked the rooms and the layout of the hotel and dock area. We rented a boat and had a great time there.
We liked the location of the hotel in front of the ocean and its proximity from John Pennekamp State Park The service is minimum and there is no facility on site to have a breakfast
A great tropical setting with a great outdoor bar area. Beautiful beach area with water access! Plenty of things to do! Towels were a bit scarce and the breakfast buffet could use a bit more of a selection. Hot scrambled eggs are cheap to provide and would greatly improve the spread.
Liked everything. Service, room, everything was great!
Marathon provided a base for escaping to Key West and offered the Dolphin Research Center, the Turtle Hospital and it isn't that far from the Everglades. The food in Marathon is exceptional. Every time we went out for lunch or dinner, the establishments met or exceeded our expectations. Great hotel.
Great breakfast, restaurant, and lounge. Very clean Everything was great
Very clean. Friendly staff.
Good value for a hotel room in the Keys. Extra money for a suite definitely worth it.
Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice. Bathroom was updated. Free wifi. Pretty much everything was spot on. Not a luxury place but great for the price Couldn't get the wifi to work.
The hotel was terrible, the bathroom was dirty. Te air conditioner didn't work. There was no parking I had to park outside the hotel. I was a terrible experience I will not recommend this hotel to anyone
The pool was beautiful and is heated! The views were amazing. At the time we stayed there was no wifi. There were tiny gnats crawling around the bathroom sink every day. The window hinge was broken so that the window would not close; however this was fixed immediately by the staff by screwing the window permanently shut. There was a coffee pot with supplies to make coffee, but no cups provided.
The basic room was fantastic ! Lobed my stay! Nothing
Very nice marina. Too pricey for what it is.
We have been coming here for about 6 years now for lobster mini season, accommodations are perfect for us.... It would be awesome if the marina could comfortably accommodate midsize boats, I'm talking about 24' to 30' range... my dredging out some of the slips and channel. But I also understand that there are environmental red tape and hefty fees to make that happen down in the keys...
Awesome location, beautiful grounds, and an amazing beach front. Rooms were modern despite an older feel to the resort. Construction at the time of visit. They cut through a sewer line near my room and it was stanky. Was a minor annoyance and did not detract from my trip. But you may want to check and make sure the constuction has been completed.
Would highly recommend. Service was excellent. Room was comfy and nice.
Nice pool and jacuzzi Old beds, rooms are old and a bit musty. Tv did not work. Was a bit more like a motel than a hotel
I loved the view and the size of the rooms however they were dated. There is nowhere to even buy a bottle of water on the resort. Needs a tiki bar and at least a snack bar.. Or soda machine!
I enjoyed the location and appreciated the size of our room, almost a a one bedroom apartment. We didn't like that you could hear every footstep and door slam from our neighbors.
The place they moved us to was ok for the time we had it was near the dive shop and good restaurants still would have like to stay where we planned on staying. The staff was nice and rooms clean Check in was not tell after 4pm check out was by 11am even though we could stay and use beach after checking out it seemed rushed maybe next time we can stay longer and at the main resort.
one bedroom with full kitchen sofa bed was broken and housekeeping said oh well sorry...and did nothing for fix...stay away from room 118
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff could use a lesson in how to run a hotel

Lives up to its 3 star rating. No
The hotel was very clean and had really nice decorations. The front desk people gave us good recommendations for the area. We loved our spacious room. Everything was laid out perfectly. The pool area is beautiful. We were disappointed that we couldn't access the beach/ocean.
The best hotel I ever lived. Several days passed, but the bright feeling from that hotel is still fresh in my mind.mordern, delighted, and perfect location. no.
The cleanliness of the hotel, knowledgeable and quick response from staff. The maid service was excellent, they brought fresh towels, and coffee as requested. Beautiful interior decoration, soft beds and very soft pillows. Breathtaking view from pool! I would have given all 10 stars but be aware that they add on a credit to your room for about $75 extra charge which I was not aware of until it was time for payment. The 'credit' is for bar tab, food, etc.
Location and Pool. Great staff. I see new hotel growing pains here and there Housekeeping needs to understand elevator needs to be cleaned also. Wife got food poisoning at hot breakfast. Mine also was not good...and it was not free.
Very beautiful décor and furnishings. Great pool and outdoor area with great views, hammocks. Lovely place. No it was great.
The room was clean & new. The pool area was really nice with a good bar. The server provided excellent service. The fireplace outside the dining area was a good place to hang out and also the small beach area . Overall the stay was very memorable

Great stay. Beautiful view from the pool area. Pricey food list. No complimentary breakfast. Even coffee is pricey and not free.
Cute little front porch with a spacious room with two double beds and a refrigerator. Beds were very comfortable and seemed clean. I would definitely stay here again. A little mold in the bathroom shower and a little smell on entry into the room.
Not a thing Windows were missing glass, a/c didn't work (and it's the middle of summer!) Animal feces all over the floor. Dirty stained towels. They put us in the wrong room and when we complained they said "oh well, we're completely booked". No housekeeping in 5 days... They refused to give any money back or compensate us in any way. WORST hotel, WORST staff. Ruined our honeymoon!
I liked the location the office staff was very rude
Location and the large queen mattress was awesome! Cost of the boat slip and trailer parking.
Very clean quaint old style Florida rooms!! Love the screened in porch to sit and relax on! Will definitely stay again and again! Great tile floors just have to watch any baby walking or crawling
great size room for the $. housekeeping could have paid a little more attention to the details, like the goo on one of the bedspreads. but other than that it was ok.
Charming old resort hotel with unique architecture, a boat dock area, and pool. Our room had a nice screened porch (Florida room) and a little kitchen area and we were able to park at our door. We were only there one night and didn't use the pool. We were able to brave the highway crossing on foot to have breakfast at a nice little diner.
Comfortable bed, has kitchen, microwave, fridge WiFi cooking utensils, next to some waterway. Front desk lady dark skin was very nice fast service Tv was small only in one room and first entering room it smells like bleach
Location was good. It was on the cheaper side for spring break. Well, like they say... You get what you pay for. Pool closes at 10. Rooms looked like a 10x10 cell with converter blocks painted hospital white. Minimal customer service. "Coffee on the dock" was a Themis of coffee that was put out at 7am and empty by 730am. Office doesn't open til 8, so that gave us plenty of time to wait for the refill.
I spent a night in this hotel in room 125 and from the get go it was not a good experience. The room was not clean, the staff at the front desk was borderline rude. The next morning the toilet was spilling water from underneath when flushed and we were not able to use it. They gave us a room with an electrical stove (we did not ask for it) and the stove was extremely dirty and the microwave was rusted inside. We paid $144 for this place and with a couple of extra $40 could have booked a much better and cleaned hotel room. Bottom line, we packed our things and left asap. Do not recommend this place.
i liked the facilities provided to us, Kitchen etc was ready to use and the cleanliness of the room WiFi connectivity was horrible.
waterfront Bad wifi
The location was wonderful and the staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean and were big enough that we would have been comfortable staying for a much longer time (we only stayed 2 days). We are definitely planning on a return trip to Islamorada and will be staying here again! The air conditioner was pretty noisy at night.

Location. It is literally on the Gulf of Mexico. If you jumped off the back porch and then swam backward, you would be under your room. Very cool. The nearest restaurant is about 6 miles away. They have a food truck on site which was o.k.
Everything was very nice I loved it No
The people were fantastic. Views were amazing especially the sunsets. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Very friendly staff
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Room was old but well maintained and had a wonderful view. Everything is on the site:bikes, picnic tables, kayak, paddle board,.... I recommend this hotel and hope to go one day again. Nothing
