Seville is charming on all levels, and as a popular Spanish song says, it has a special color. The capital of Andalusia, with its rich historical legacy, is my ideal destination where I can wander through its cobbled streets. I do this while admiring the majesty of the Giralda or the beauty of the Real Alcázar. However, there's more to Seville than monuments, and you can soak this up on its lively squares, the joy of all its corners, festivals, such as Holy Week and the April Fair, and, of course, in its delicious gastronomy. Seville offers a tailor-made hotel for every type of traveler, from those seeking luxury and exclusivity in former palaces converted into elegant hotels, to those who prefer the modernity and design of the most avant-garde establishments. There are also options for those who want to be close to the old town or prefer the tranquility of a hotel overlooking the Guadalquivir. These are the 10 best hotels in Seville, a perfect selection to help you make the most of this magical city.

1.

Hotel Casa Palacio Don Ramón

Address:

Trajano, 2

Price:

$316-$3,085/night

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Seville, and is considered one of the best hotels in the city. From the moment you enter, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and tradition, blending historical charm with everything you could desire from a contemporary hotel. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. My favorites are the Mozarabic suite and the Seville suite, with a wall entirely decorated with tiles.

One of my favorite moments is enjoying a gourmet breakfast in the lemon tree courtyard, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mixes with the morning breeze. In the afternoon, I love sitting back and relaxing in the orange tree courtyard. The El Limón restaurant serves Andalusian dishes with a modern twist, perfect for an unforgettable dinner. Don't forget to head up to the terrace: it has a pool and a relaxation area, ideal for enjoying under the Sevillian sky.

2.

Only You Hotel Sevilla

Address:

Avenida De Kansas City No.7

Price:

$126-$622/night

Just a few steps from the Santa Justa station is another of the best hotels in Seville. With locations in several cities in Spain, it is now in the Andalusian capital where it's redefining the concept of urban luxury. Its rooms are spacious and bright, decorated with impeccable taste. In the lobby, you will find a flower shop, and its state-of-the-art gym is open 24 hours.

The hotel has a pastry shop run by a renowned pastry chef that offers a memorable breakfast. It also has a restaurant, Trotamundos, serving global flavors made with local products. To combat the Sevillian heat, my favorite spot is Limbo on the ground floor. There you will find a 70 m² pool and sun loungers, giving it a tropical oasis feel. The hotel also offers a delicious food menu to accompany the experience —the red tuna poke bowl from Barbate is a must— along with a variety of cocktails.

3.

Plácido y Grata

Address:

Calle Monsalves 4

Price:

$131-$492/night

Design lovers will adore this boutique hotel. Your Living Space Atelier was tasked with bringing a Sevillian manor house from the late 19th century into the contemporary world, and they did so wonderfully, so much so that they turned it into one of the best hotels in Seville. Unlike others, in its 15 rooms, minimalism and Nordic design reign with high-end furniture.

One of the highlights is its interior courtyard, an oasis of tranquility filled with greenery where you can enjoy a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset. The coffee is unforgettable, prepared in their specialist café, which is also open to the public. They work with Nomad Coffee and offer sourdough bread. I recommend ordering the toast with salmorejo, Iberian ham, egg, and avocado. In the afternoon, stay at their cocktail bar and try some tapas. You won't regret it.

4.

Hotel Alfonso XIII, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Seville

Address:

San Fernando 2

Price:

$86-$4,448/night

If there's one hotel that everyone knows in Seville, this is it. The same king who gave it its name ordered its construction to accommodate the dignitaries who visited the city during the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. And that is how one of the most luxurious hotels in the world and one of the best in Seville came into existence. Regionalist architecture, Mudéjar-style arches, a multitude of colors... And all of this has witnessed the history of Spain itself.

Whenever someone important visits Seville, this is where they stay. And those of us who love luxury are no exception. Its 148 rooms and suites are fabulous, and the royal suite measures a whopping 200 m², decorated with art pieces and even has a private chef. I recommend having a drink in its beautiful courtyard, dining at San Fernando, and enjoying tapas at Ena, its delicatessen, where you cannot miss the Iberian cold cuts, gourmet preserves, and Andalusian wines.

5.

Hotel Tayko Sevilla

Address:

Puerta de Jerez 3

Price:

$152-$357/night

I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to everything and see the Puerta de Jerez or the Torre del Oro from your window. Imagine an old palace from 1928, the Casa de la Moneda, which reopened in 2022 as a hotel with just 26 rooms. A symbol of Regionalism, it knew how to adapt to the modern city, with rooms where natural light pours in through large windows.

The great advantage here is that all rooms are exterior and provide incredible views of the city. I recommend the DLX View, which offers views even from the bathtub. Their services are another plus. They can pick you up in a high-end car, offer babysitting for the little ones, and you can even bring your pet. Oh, and their à la carte breakfast is memorable. For all these reasons, it's also one of the best hotels in Seville.

6.

Hotel Kivir

Address:

Paseo de Cristóbal Colón, 3

Price:

$109-$11,161/night

Seville is its neighborhoods and winding streets, but also its mighty river, the Guadalquivir. And sleeping on its banks is one of the most unique experiences you can have in the Andalusian capital. One of Seville's top hotels, it's located next to the famous Triana bridge, and combines contemporary design with a touch of elegance. The result? A stay that seamlessly fuses style and comfort in all of its rooms.

The Emilia restaurant serves a tasting menu for guests, with dishes like a delicious slow-cooked Iberian pork. One of my favorite parts of the hotel is its rooftop, where the pool and the Skyline Terrace bar are located. It's the perfect place to relax after a day exploring Seville. Imagine enjoying a cocktail or a local beer while watching the sun set over some of the city's key landmarks...

7.

Hotel Casa Del Poeta

Address:

Don Carlos Alonso Chaparro 3

Price:

$182-$588/night

Located in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, this is one of the best hotels in Seville, ideal for those seeking an authentic and romantic experience in a genuine 17th-century manor house. Around the fantastic courtyard, life moves more slowly. With a photogenic orange color, it's surrounded by plants, marble columns, and has a central fountain as the protagonist.

I enjoy experiencing the history of this house through its 17 rooms, all overlooking the courtyard and decorated with period furniture and artisanal details. And back in the courtyard, in that bucolic oasis, they serve breakfast, prepared with Andalusian products. You can also have a glass of wine or delight in the Spanish guitar sessions and flamenco music they organize. Also there's a secret that few know, but let me tell you: their rooftop terrace has comfortable hammocks to relax and enjoy one of the city's most beautiful views of the Giralda.

8.

Hotel Palacio De Villapanes

Address:

Calle Santiago 31

Price:

$224-$771/night

Have you ever dreamed of sleeping in a palace? It's entirely possible when you stay in one of Seville's best hotels. Located in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, this 18th-century palace combines the grandeur of its past with the style and comfort of the modern world. Its architecture and history are so important that it was declared a Cultural Heritage Site. I love immersing myself in that Andalusian essence and the light that filters into every space.

The 50 rooms are a dream that takes shape on hydraulic floors, under high coffered wooden ceilings and fireplaces. Personally, I recommend opting for the suite. The dream continues in the morning when you go down for breakfast. It is served in the Patio de los Naranjos, and to make it last even longer, head up to its rooftop to enjoy its pool, its wellness area, or the market cuisine restaurant, Los Rincones del Marqués.

9.

Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá

Address:

Cuesta de Santo Domingo, 5

Price:

$227-$1,367/night

This iconic establishment, one of Seville's leading hotels, reopened its doors with renewed splendor in 2021. Once frequented by important Hollywood figures, it has made an even more elegant comeback. The first thing that catches your eye is the lobby, which pays homage to Seville's history: the 1929 Universal Exhibition, Triana ceramics, and the city's brotherhoods, such as La Macarena and La Esperanza de Triana.

Its rooms are perfect for recharging, but the most interesting things happen in the common areas. Under an impressive glass dome is the Bar del Colón, with cocktails inspired by Columbus's journey to the Americas. I can't help but recommend their Abacería, a charming corner where you can indulge in preserves, cold cuts, and Andalusian wines. There is also El Burladero, great for tapas and for trying one of the best oxtails in all of Seville.

10.

Las Casas de la Judería de Córdoba

Address:

C/Tomás Conde, 10

Price:

$97-$6,722/night

It could be said that this top Seville hotel is a neighborhood in itself. Its maze of 27 traditional houses have 134 rooms and form a network that is easy to get lost in. But who wouldn't want to do so in its warren of narrow streets, which lead to fantastic Andalusian courtyards full of plants and sculptures?

The same goes for its rooms, which are all different. I like that they seem to be from another era, adorned with paintings and antique furniture to offer you a time travel experience without compromising on modern comfort. The spa, decorated like a Roman bath, is one of my favorites when I want to relax in the city. And when the weather is good, which is almost always in Seville, I go up to the rooftop to swim in its pool overlooking the Giralda.
