Pros: Very hospitable hosts. Great views from our room in a beautifully renovated old stone house. Peaceful and quiet location. Perfect stay in every way. We would have loved to stay longer...
Pros: We had such a pleasant experience, fantastic location, amazing staff, precious landscape!
Pros: The room had the most amazing view It was a beautiful and very autentick House So nice
Set around a courtyard, this beautiful country house dates from the 16th century and features its own wine cellar, and charming rooms. Surrounded by vineyards and close to the banks of the Avia River, it is set in the village of Esposende. The lovely, comfortable rooms at Pazo de Esposende have exposed stone walls and are decorated with frescos made by a famous local painter inspired by landscapes of the region. All rooms have heating, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. You can relax in one of the 2 relaxing lounges, where there is a fireplace, a TV, sofas, a table and chairs, and a reading corner. Pazo de Esposende is within 5 km of Ribadavia and the hot springs at Prexigueiro. Ourense can be reached in 30 minutes by car. Santiago de Compostela and Rias Baixas are within 100 km of the property.
Pros: Property has great caracter: renovated old building, nice rooms and outdoor sitting areas, bathroom very modern. Stunning surroundings with vineyards and great views.
Cons: No English spoken. Breakfast started very late, at 9:30. Nice breakfast, but they were serving everything at the table, which meant for example we waited a long time for the coffee, brought at the end of the meal.
Pros: The property was a beautiful hacienda. Tatiana was a delight. So friendly and helpful. Neither she or her partner spoke English yet we communicated very well. The hotel was immaculate. I’ve never seen a more well kept property.
Cons: Although the venue was gorgeous, it was not really close to restaurants so the dining was limited, since the property does not have their own on property.
Pros: The location is peacefully quiet, surrounded by vineyards and beautiful Galician landscape. The hotel's construction is nice and the rooms are comfortable and combine modern refitting with a traditional touch.
Cons: Our reservation was not respected. I specifically asked for a room with a double bed (there were options that indicated that it could be one double or two twins, but I chose the option which was specifically double). However, upon arrival, the hostess indicated that they only had twin rooms left. No form of compensation was offered, which could have been a kind gesture. Also, we arrived at around 6 PM, at which time both the host and the hostess indicated they would be unavailable for the rest of the day. I obviously respect their right to rest, but again, since this is a rather isolated hotel and scarce in services (no food is available on premises, for instance), it would have been nice to know that reception is available until a bit later.
Pros: Very beautiful place!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Pros: Everything! It was charming, beautiful, historic, clean and well appointed. The hosts were fantastic and we really enjoyed dinner down the street at the Michelin restaurant, which was also excellent!
Pros: The flowers in the courtyard. And it was very clean.
Cons: The view to plastic junk yard. You need to call reception to get the gate open, so get roaming.
With a stay at Aldea Rural Pazos De Arenteiro in Boboras, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Vina Mein Winery and Pazo da Touza Golf. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Pros: The Hotel was excellent and the village where it was located offered many interesting walks. The owners were both friendly and immensely helpful. Staying for dinner is a must. The meals are simple but wonderfully prepared by the owner who is an excellent chef.
Pros: Very nice hotel for such a beautiful little town
Pros: The beauty of the surroundings (the boutique hotel is immersed in a small village classified as "Galician Cultural Heritage, and surrounded by a forest, river, etc...); the staff led by Ramiro is really friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the way they took care of my daughter who has a severe food allergy.
Cons: We stayed during hot days of summer, and although they had a ceiling fan, AC in the room would have been appreciated.
Pros: Amazing accommodation. Good and tasty food. Nice sightseeing. And management is the best I ever found.
Pros: It’s a pretty dramatic descent from the main country road down the feudal-era path to the hotel but it is unforgettable. But as significant was the hospitality from the owner and host Ramiro who is an incredible, world-class host.
Pros: excellent holiday experience with children. beautiful country landscapes. super friendly deal. impeccable rooms with very well taken care of details.
Pros: Very engaging hosts, making you feel very welcome and going to extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. It's also a pretty unique place, like a little farm in a beautiful little village which was slightly abandoned but that added to the experience.
8.9 Excellent (421 reviews)
Located in Leiro, Eurostars Monumento Monasterio de San Clodio Hotel & Spa is a 2-minute drive from Vina Mein Winery and 7 minutes from Pazo da Touza Golf. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. This hotel has 4 meeting rooms available for events.
Pros: Beautiful property. Great view from the room. Food at the restaurant was excellent and waiter was incredible. We were there for a wedding and the facility set up was incredible. One of the most unique accommodations I have stayed in, but one of the best. We were looking forward to the visit and it met our expectations.
Cons: The floor in the room didn't seem right. Maybe a different flooring should've been used. Not really an easy fix, but did not bother us. Everything else was perfect.
Pros: Quaint yet gorgeous locale. The peaceful decorum harkens back to the time when it was a monastery.
Cons: It’s somewhat isolated but that’s what you get given the location. The pool could be a bit larger and cleaned more regularly.
Pros: The hotel was lovely. What a great use of the building if you can’t fill it with monks!
Cons: Oh dear, it was a hot day & it would have been great to use the pool but it had a green hue & bits floating in it. The real problem was breakfast! It was supposed to be a buffet but it wasn’t & there was no menu & only one member of staff. It was a car crash & after nearly an hour & one cup of coffee & some fruit me sense of humour departed. The receptionist who was duty manager dealt with it exceedingly well but the whole experience of such a lovely place was lost. Such a shame.
Pros: Out if season... very quiet! We were the onlusten guests!
Pros: Large room, beautiful building, nice setting.
Pros: Staff are amazing here - so friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel is beautiful. Food was also really good. The breakfast is standard continental but with a wide range of breads, pastries, fruit, meat etc. Ordered room service one night and was very prompt despite a wedding taking place in hotel. You really need a car to get here and other than hotel restaurant there is one other restaurant in the town. There is parking at the front of hotel and some at the back though it wasn’t well sign posted and seemed to be just a grassy area! My room was very large with a small balcony looking out to the back of hotel. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of storage.
Cons: The only issue I had with this hotel was the sound proofing in the rooms is poor. The older parts of the hotel are made of thick stone walls but they’ve added modern dividers to rooms and they are very thin. You can hear pretty much everything next door. For the price of the hotel I would have expect better.
Pros: Very special place, beautiful and quiet, great staff!! Away from any city or metropolitan area, the monastery is very historical and interesting.

Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely building with beautiful grounds and very nice (if slightly chilly) pool. It was nice to have the room with games upstairs.
Cons: WiFi didn’t really work, and it’s not really near anything, although the bar next door was fine for a quick drink.
Pros: my stay at the Hotel was above all expectations: the very spacious room, always very clean and tidy, equipped with every comfort (even the mattress from which it was difficult to leave in the morning was too comfortable ...) Really everything aimed at making the guest feel welcomed and cared for. the staff is very kind and provides very useful information. A place to return to for sure.

Pros: The hotel is located next to the town's beautiful park, ideal for a walk.
Cons: Noisy guests. The hotel location is perfect for holidays, not so much so if you need to visit the town centre frequently.
Pros: Location was fantastic
Cons: No drink facilities in bedrooms

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very rural location in small village. Garden and swimming pool would be great in summer months. Lovely terraces to sit and enjoy the mountain views. Anna was very friendly and welcoming and cooked us a delicious evening meal - she had even turned the heating on for us! Simple room but with all essential facilities.
Cons: It would have been useful if the village itself had been named on the booking information.
Pros: Location is like a little farm steading and rooms are lovely. Food was served and was delicious
Cons: Owners didn't speak English, but that's not their fault as they do live in Spain after all.
Pros: Great hospitality, wonderful atmosphere of a country house, delicious food. I will want to come back again...
Offering a restaurant, Hotel Derby is located in Carballiño’s city centre, a 20-minute drive from Ourense. It offers rooms with classic-style furnishings and free WiFi in public areas. All rooms come with a TV and heating. The private bathroom includes a bath tub and towels. The restaurant serves local cuisine at dinner. Guests can enjoy a snack in the bar. The Derby Hotel is 17 km from Castrelo de Miño reservoir, on River Miño. The Santiago de Compostela Airport is 1-hour drive from the property
Cons: Bathroom are bad and the staff are not kind or friendly.
Cons: Hotel says is 1 star, but they charge as if it were 2 stars. There is no parking and host must drive around downtown to find a spot, and then walk back with bags to hotel venue, sometimes uphill and raining. There is no internet in rooms, -but we knew that from prospect- only in the lobby, but we didn't know there were no place to sit. Room with bad maintenence -noisy springs matress, loose shower screws making difficult to get its stream in the right direction. Old elevator serving 40 rooms in 5 floors, etc. Indeed, hotel is just 1 star, but price should be cheaper for what they offer. Perhaps worst of all is front desk personnel. They just don't care about you.
Pros: I like the bedroom
Cons: The pillows to low
Located in Cenlle, Hotel Laias Caldaria is within a 15-minute drive of Termas Outariz and San Cibrao de Las Hill Fort. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location of the hotel premises is fantastic. The outside (warm) pool has a great atmosphere.
Cons: With one or two good exceptions, the hotel staff was unfortunately not nice during our stay at the hotel, particularly in the reception and the spa. Upon the reservation, one of the employees was pushing us to quickly submit our reservation, saying that the hotel had very few rooms available for the dates requested, however during our stay we could see that the hotel had a low/medium occupancy rate. I initially had the idea of enjoying some spa services during our stay, but the fact that one of the spa employees was not nice to us, made me change my mind. The breakfast is poor: lack of food varieties available, food and kitchenware that was not replaced (fruit, cakes, milk, glasses), the floor was dirty, there were ants on the juice machine, etc etc. Given the photos available, we also had higher expectations with regards to the comfort of our room.
