It was fab. A brilliant holiday. Nice and peaceful, staff very attentive, food excellent, great room with fab view, fab pool. Just lovely. No it was brilliant.
the friendly service and attention that we received
nice place, good hotel family hotel you can feel the input in all aspects price value excellent room very large and efficient all good
The food was excellent, staff was very friendly and weather and sea magnificent. Remote from any shops and entartainment.
practical location busy road nearby
Ample parking and good hotel rate. Nice landscaping and swimming pool area. At this time of the year (march), room very humid and cold even with the heating on. Not recommended except in summer time.
Good location ,great view of Strombolli. One of few Hotels open in March.
Kind and friendly staff and good restaurant, parking slot. Located along side main street.
very good location...vey quiet.....it is a family owned hotel....Very nice people.....Big swimming pool...Good for a family stay also.....Food at the hotel is excellent. We were very satisfied with our stay....good stop to make if you are heading towards Sicily. (around 3 hours drive from the hotel).
Lovely pool, rooms spacious and clean, pleasant staff and environment. Pool could not be used between 1 and 4 (hottest time of the day!!) and all swimmers (including men and children) had to wear swimming hats to swim.
Hotel Tropis is new modern hotel, new of the city center and railway station. Service they provided to me was very nice. I'd like to recommend this hotel
Location Lack of charm
The hotel looked lovely. Good location just what we wanted A lovely hotel but let down a bit by the staff. We asked for a couple of beers the didn't have a bottle opener at the Bar we asked for two glasses of wine they didn't have a bottle opener for that. The lad went to find one but came back after 15mins lifting his hands in the air saying cannot find one anywhere. The breakfast was very poor for a 4 star hotel. We thought at first that the hotel had just opened there was a man still putting beading silicone on the pool doors outside. But the staff seemed to have a lackey daisy attitude.
This brand new property left absolutely nothing to be desired, except for maybe a slightly better breakfast which was still decent by Italian standards. Great location in Tropea, 2 blocks away from the center of town. Beautiful pool, nice sized rooms with every amenity you could want. Free shuttle to the beach every 30 minutes. The only problem we had was that the wi-fi wasnt working properly, but the hotel is also only 2 months old so im sure they will have that taken care of soon.
The staff service and food were excellent The beach was a little to far to walk
Friendly, helpful staff who were always on hand to provide any assistance. Spotlessly clean swimming pool with a well stocked bar alongside. Importantly the area is comfortable with sufficient sun lounger provision. Great sea-facing location with the beach and the resort centre at Tropea a brisk downhill walk away (a shuttle service provision at regular intervals for those less inclined / able.) The overall food choices were excellent and the waiting staff attentive and courteous. Thank you Stefani and Danny in particular for your guidance through the various menus. An excellent base for a family holiday and a great place to catch up on all that reading... No an excellent value for money choice.
Very friendly and efficiently staff Excellent pool Fine residence with all you need in the kitchen Large balcony with very nice views Quiet suroundings Private beach with sun chairs shuttle bus to town and beach -
elegant and completely devoid of american tourists
Excellent and pleasant installations, clean and confortable. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. A little bit far from the beach and the city center, but not a problem at all if you have a car.
unbelievable value for price
The location was ideal. Just a short drive to the beach and to Tropea. The beds were not soft enough.
cool little hotel, good breakfast and decent value.nice pool and it was fairly quiet when we were there (june). hotel offers umbrella & sun loungers at the beach for free. tropea is more than 1 km away. it is a good 30 mins walk and the beach(nice beach) is 10 mins walk away on the main road. the hotel offers a bus to both the beach(only 3 or 4 times a day) and tropea(only 3 times at night). so if u are without a car it can be a bit frustrating. still would recommend this place
Location is amazing, the staff is welcome, a lot of flowers and plants in the area of the hotel. The buses are going from hotel to nearest, very beautiful town Tropea and return, Also, to the hotel's beach. The apartments are not privacy enough, but it's ok if you have good and quiet neighbours
Large room, effective air conditioning, nice pool A bit of a trek to the beach and to Tropea, although the hotel does run a shuttle bus to both
Large rooms fully self contained, so you can do your own cooking if you want. We were allowed to use the hotel laundry facilities. Great view of Tropea and surrounds from viewing deck. Soon to have a roof top spa operational. Still some construction work being completed but it wasn't a major hassle. Although on the outskirts of Parghelia, it was very confusing to initially find the hotel
Location close to Tropea, Jacuzzi on roof No
1. Rooms are of a good size, very neat and come with a balcony; 2. garden is beautifully maintained; 3. Possibility to use an open air solarium at the roof (included in price), with splendid panorama of Tropea; 4. Possibility to park a car in a garage; 5. Good value for money Kitchen could have been better equipped (no wine glasses for instance). Also be aware that hotel is located at a considerable walking distance from a beach (I would rate it approx. 15 mins to the beach and 20 mins from, as it's up the hill). You will also need a car to go to Tropea.
a gem of a hotel, expertly run by Alessandro and his family & even found time to take us to the train station on our departure - cannot fault it. would go back tomorrow, P White, UK
Excellent place to relax and self-cater for a while.
Cleanliness and standard of apartment accommodation. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good location for beach and town.
The best three nights of our entire vacation! The staff treated us like family and we can't wait to return. The rooms are spacious, well- equipped and very clean. The entire family-run operation was top notch and we extended our stay. No pool, but rooftop whirlpools and private beach access make up for it! Difficult to find, but any person in the town can't point you there!
It was peaceful, clean and tidy, with friendly proprietors, spa and availability of local information. Nothing.
Very nice apartment of 2 rooms near old town, good to have a car a little bit far away from beach,we had a car, so it was not a problem. The rooms against the kitchen are noizy all the day ,also at night and early morning. We asked to change the rooms but didn't get smth else.
Having a car is essential as the accommodation is slightly outside Tropea, but the location is quiet and views from the roof terrace are superb.
the room was nice, very good air con. lovely roof terrace, nice breakfast. very central. no hair dryer in the room and lots of steps
Everything was fantastic - room, placement, staff and breakfast. Highly recomend to those who love authentic surroundings. Free wi-fi internet that worked in room was a plus.
The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the center of the old town in Tropea and close to shops, restaurants and bars. A huge breakfast is served on a lovely rooftop terrace with views over the town to the sea. The hotel is in a fabulous old building and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The only drawback for some people might be that the hotel is on the third floor and there is no lift
We liked everything: atmosphere, design, location, lunch, non intrusive, but very friendly staff, buildng itself If you do not want to wake up earlier the church bell could be annoying (we feel though that it just adds to experience, but not all people would agree)
Excellent breakfast. Impossible to find; Hotel is actually three flights up with no elevator. Bed extremely uncomfortable.
wonderful with fabulous views of calabrian coastline. Also some great restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended. Hotel only about 7 years old with great service and staff and very reasonable prices. None
The staff was very great. There was a very nice pool and the hotel had a direct acces to the beach. It was also very close to a little fisher village where we had the best meal of our entire stay in italy. (Very nice sea food, fish and pasta !) The only thing we didnt like about this hotel was that the bed was to hard for us. The matress was as hard as rock.
The wonderful staff, beautiful panaromic views, cleanliness, regional food, and beautiful music
location, helfulness of hotel staff
Nice beach, quite place. Poor selection on buffet breakfast.
Although traveling solo, I was given a large room with a very nice view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Dinner and breakfast (full pensione) were quite respectable. Hotel provides a public computer for free use. If you're a foreigner, driving alone, you might want to invest in a gps system (not terribly expensive, but very helpful) to find the hotel.
The villa is a great choice for everyone who want quiet accomodation in recently rennovated historical building. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden and comfortable and stylish room. The location is perfect both for people with car and without. Hotel has it's own parking always with free spaces. 1 minute to get to the center by foot and 10 minutes to get to the beach. I and my wife were really pleased by kindness of manager named Manuela. All staff is very professional and friendly. We wish to come back to this lovely place
Close to sea and Tropea. Real nice beach. Standart room is termit's house, noisy in nigth. No air condition -no problem, but it hasn't even air fan- very hot at nigth. Show program in evning is stupied.
the beds were clean and comfortable breakfast was terrible , the toilet seat was broken and they didn't attempt to fix it when reported, light not working but did fix it shower door was cracked and the terrace area was filthy ,hardened cooking fat on it and rat droppings no info on the beach facilities available and then when i went to pay for 4 days they charged us 42 euros each for the pool and beach which we did'nt use
Beautiful beach and pool efficient check in Rooms are vary spacious and great for families travelling with children. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and courteous. Staff in the restaurants were very accommodating, helpful and efficient. Rooms could use renovating (beds, bathrooms, air conditioning) The hotel has bird nests all over the property. They promote natural beauty. It is great seeing birds flying around the property but the down side is that there are bird droppings all over the walls. The hotel staff needs to do a better job at cleaning up beneath the bird nests and on the walls. Travel to the beach is very scenic... But long and difficult in the hot sun as it is up / down a steep hill. It would be great if the hotel could put stairs going up and down to the beach or provide a free shuttle service (as other hotels in the area do)various times through the day. The food quality could improve especially at breakfast.
The management were extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet had no varity.
A lot of activites to choose on, like streatching , training etc. The breakfast is really really poor, actually the worse I have ever eaten on a hotell, no fruit, no vegetables only white bread, you really need to do something about it. The music is very loud even in the late evening. The aircondition broke down 3 times and when we said that you should do something on the price it was a difficult disccusion, that is not called service.
Wonderful location, really by the sea. Good swimming pool. Breakfast is ok. If coming with a car, it is easy to go to different beaches and the city of Tropea. Internet access would be an important improvement.
nothing plenty, poor maintenance, service lacking in all areas, worst coffee we have ever had in Italy.
It was extremely tranquil in a lovely setting with a beautiful beach. The room did not have a TV for the news etc.
