Location, location, location. Wildwood bar! Funky, cool, old-school Snowmass spot. Spartan, but very acceptable.
Bathroom's a bit old. Tub cracked and needs replacement. I had to move the bed platform to plug in the lights on the beside tables and to power bedside power strip. Plugged in refrigerator, very noisy, understood why it had been unplugged. Didn't mind doing any of these things, but a more attentive staff wouldn't have allowed me to be the one to do it.
Trying to find the hotel was a bit of a chore to say the least.
Retro look to room and location.
Early in the day a random family walked into our room because they were assigned the same room as us. Then the staff called 2 times from 10-11 at night asking to get our name for the room we were in. Then they came knocking on the door asking for our name again saying that the system was messed up. On top of that the people working the front desk and most of the staff didn't know English so it was hard to communicate.
Access to restaurants and ski area was great. Doesn't get much closer! Outdoor pool and hot tubs were comfortable and close.
A remodel job that wasn't really the best. Room didn't have great control over the temperature, probably just because it's an old building. Parking rates were not mentioned on Kayak, and that was $40 for a week, even though we only stayed one night. Check in process had my name right, but my address as something totally different, not even in the same state. I wonder if something got goofed up between Kayak to Priceline to the Hotel. Also, my biggest complaint was this was not a typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast spread. They ran out of food, many people waiting, and front desk didn't seem to do much... Just shrugged their shoulders. A few upset folks, which is not typical in other Holiday Inn Express locations I've stayed in.
Quite and located near the Music Festival
I liked the convenience of having most of the restaurants and some shopping at walking distance from my room.
The wireless internet connection was very poor.
