10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel isn't on the mountain but they make up for it with a free shuttle that they run from 8am until 12 midnight. Is all you have to do is walk to the lobby and tell them where you wanna go and they'll take you anywhere. When you're done just use the number the driver gives you and he'll pick you up. We checked out before we went skiing and they had no problem letting us leave our car and taking us to and from the mountain. They also have an awesome restaurant downstairs that should definitely be checked out if you stay there. The room was really cool. You can tell the hotel has old bones, but it has modern upgrades which make it really enjoyable. Beds were great, balcony was awesome to drink a cup of coffee on and watch the sunrise. Really cool hotel and probably the best value in Breck.
Cons: I wish the breakfast was better. They had cereal, yogurt and a waffle maker. For a day that I'm going to be on the mountain all day I would like to have some hot food, at least scrambled eggs and some meat.
6.2 Good
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly, but there needed to be more of them! The front desk never answered the phone, because they were either taking bags to rooms or running other errands for guests. Old style charm. Loved being out of busy town, with easy shuttle access when needed.
Cons: Paid for a large room w/mountain view, got a small room w/ just an OK view. Lots of rooms have great rooms, I just wasn't given one of them. Since I paid for it, I felt I should have received a discount since I didn't receive one. When checking out another couple was given opportunity to select a room, wish they would have given me that opportunity. Restaurant needs a lot of work! Slow, slow, slow, and mediocre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome. Although off the beaten path of the village it's worth it. The free shuttle to town and the mountain was very helpful.
Cons: The gps directions don't work because of the vertical gain/switch backs. Signage Could be better. A very minor issue compared to what you get.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff Made us feel at home Would definitely recommend coming here again
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The views
Cons: No A/C, but its wasn't a dealbreaker

6.0 Good
Pros: Great amenities and friendly staff
Cons: Right on Highway 9 and our room was facing the highway, so very loud traffic noise all night. Very little in the way of noise insulation, so bring your earplugs if you're street side.

Pros: Clean with friendly staff. Very accommodating.
Cons: Needed little table and chair

6.2 Good
Pros: The hotel is a "ski in" but not necessarily a "ski out." It's at least a 10min walk up and down stairs (imagine with gear) to the gondola. It's the same path you take to town but it's poorly lit at night.
Cons: Staff.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, accommodations were great & staff were great.
Cons: Nowhere on my reservation did it mention another $29 to be collected at hotel. May need to reconsider staying again if there are hidden fees not documented when reserving a room online.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great right by the city center. Everyone was incredibly friendly as well.
Cons: I found the valet service to be incredibly frustrating and really wish it was optional rather than required. We would have to wait up to 20 minutes until vehicle which included trying to find someone to get the vehicle.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff. I have stayed here a few times and even with the few minor drawbacks I would recommend the resort to others.
Cons: They do charge an extra fee when you get there which is not disclosed when purchasing via Kayak. They require you to valet your vehicle since it is a private garage which could add to your time to come and go. For me that was not a problem since I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. I stayed in the summer and the room I was given was quite warm since there was no A/C but I just opened a window and it cooled off. Since this hotel is primarily occupied in the winter for ski season I guess that isn't a high priority.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect home away from home! Clean and cozy studio apparat meant.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good proximity to town center. Easy walking distance to retail.
Cons: Beware of hidden fees that aren't included with your booking. They hit me with a resort fee separately from the included fees paid with the booking to cover this. No A/C in the room of a south and west facing unit. Got extremely warm in the afternoon sun.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Kids and our family really had a good time. All of the staff we came in contact with were good.
Cons: On a couple of occasions I went looing for the luggage carrier and none were available.
7.1 Good
Pros: Mini kitchen is awsome. Full oven/range plus microwave and fridge. Love it.
Cons: Had to change rooms in middle of stay because "owner" had come in last minute. Annoying at worst, staff completely moved us while we were at lunch and took care of the worst of it. Got a bottle of wine out of the inconvenience. Worst part is that latest allowed check out is 12 noon, while you can only ever be guaranteed a 4pm check in. How is that possible when hotels like Hampton, Hilton, Marriott, etc., have their act together much better?
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and facilities were well maintained.
Cons: No complaints.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I was billed an additional $60 for my two day stay that was not included in the price I paid thru Kayak.

6.3 Good
Pros: Quick check-in, hot tubs, pool, location
Cons: Noise. Had a baby with us and the way the halls are designed put a door for another room by our wall. No room service. Forced valet parking.
7.1 Good
Cons: After I paid taxes on kayak I also got charged another 75$ at checkout. 35$ was for dog but don't understand the extra money
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Valet parking free but of cause you have to then tip
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Right at the base of the mountain. Great lift access!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an older hotel that has been updated, but not recently. The decor looks to be about ten years old. But it was clean and had new linens. The location of the hotel is second to none. It is an easy one minute walk to the base of Peak 9, and a three minute walk to Main Street's shops and restaurants. Additionally, there is a shuttle stop just outside the front door.
Cons: The bathrooms are very small. So small, that you must step into the bathtub or squeeze into the six inches next to the toilet in order to close the bathroom door. Additionally, the entire hotel runs out of hot water during what the hotel's engineer called the "shower hour", which was around 4-5pm when many skiers came back to the hotel after a day of skiing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: While in vacation in Colorado my friend and I, stayed at The Village Hotel. I found what at first seem to be a tick, and turned out to be a wood tick on my bed. The staff acted promptly not only to pay for our night, but also gave us a free bottle of wine. A few mins later Jon came by our new room to see how I was doing, and made me aware that if I had any symptoms he would take care of it. He also gave me and my friend complementary dinner for 2 with drinks. Just blown away by the professionalism and kind people in Colorado. Without a hesitation I will be coming back again, and will highly recommend to all my Visual Effect friends. Cheers, Aldrich Torres www.aldrichtorres.com
Cons: nothing to dislike!!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is clean, internet worked well, had kitchen (with utensils etc.). DVD player with some decent movies was welcoming.
Cons: A little far from the main street (~5 blocks) and making multiple trips a day (b'fast, lunch, dinner etc.) tires you. The door locks were dated and it required effort to open (and felt i might break the key!:)). they should go to the electronic key.

Cons: The parking was a little odd, having to walk to another facility to park. But a minor inconvenience.

Cons: Construction required walking through basement parking deck to leave condo unit. Also, was expecting "villa" to be a standalone building on the ground level but it was instead a 1-bedroom condo/hotel room.

Cons: You have to take out your trash at the end of your stay, but the dumpster is super close by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing location. 3 minute walk to main street 3 minute walk to ski lift or 30 sec bus ride immediately outside unit. Ski out was awesome - 4'Oclock run was less than 50 yards on flat walk from unit. Was able to ski from the top of Peak 8 all the way to the condo - fantastic! 60" HDTV was awesome for watching March Madness and movies. Very mountain feel to condo with furnishings and decorations. Large 1 bedroom unit and BIG family room with pullout, full kitchen and more seating that places to sleep so you won't run out of dining space.
Cons: No elevator so not a good option if have any trouble with stairs, although a lower unit (ours was a few flights up) would probably be good for most people. Weak water pressure. One shower drain was slow to drain, but office manager dutifully jotted it down when we left, so hopefully easily fixed.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is huge -- several 8 story building. The suite came with a full kitchen and recently renovated bathroom. The place is dated - but i liked it. The room had a wood burning fire place too. If you are on a week long ski trip - i think this would be a good base. The couch is a queen size bed - a family of four would be fine there.
6.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to snow, ski lift, etc
Cons: Old facilities needs to be updated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tons of space! 2 floors in our suite. Whole kitchen. really enjoyed the layout!
Cons: Super confusing layout and signage. Hard to figure out where you are going!
5.7 Okay
Pros: the location simply cant be beat. we grabbed our gear and walked about 300ft to the chair lift, strapped in, and we were off and running.
Cons: obscenely expensive considering the facilities. the entire building is stuck in the 70's and 80's. needs a remodel badly! awful furniture. beds/mattresses were uncomfortable and lumpy. poor shower pressure. toilets and sinks all clogged multiple times during our stay. no mini bar. the living room had blinds from the 80s that didnt even keep light out, so it was extremely bright first thing in the morning. patio had snow built up on it when we checked in, called maintenance to fix it, never happened. the cleaning staff literally does not speak 1 word of english. not even 1 word, like hello. nothing. paid $1500/night for a 2 bedroom suite during long weekend, not worth even 1/3 of that. only 1 elevator servicing each building frrom the A-Lobby. huge lines of people waiting for elevators following the ski day. extremely slow and inefficient.
4.8 Okay
Pros: 5 min walk to the slopes.
Cons: The place was a tad run down and needs some renovations. The photographs of the rooms and amenities were a bit deceiving. Most staff was a bit off-putting and didn't seem very friendly. They mentioned recycling but had no bin or bag in our room under the sink like they mentioned. None of the information was very clear as to where to wait for the shuttle, where certain amenities were, etc. You would think the front desk would do a quick briefing on the map and amenities while you checked in but they did not.
6.5 Good
Pros: Convenient location. Nice view of the slopes. Less expensive. Fire place. Kitchen had all the necessities.
Cons: Aging facilities. Furniture in room in terrible condition. Bed very uncomfortable. Paper thin walls. No restaurants open. Sliding glass door to the small balcony didnt close all the way making the room drafty
6.8 Good
Pros: Ski in, ski out convenience. choice of dining options. Free equipment locker. Free shuttle into downtown. Decent pool and hot tub facilities.
Cons: Super expensive for holiday weekend. Rooms outdated. Food overpriced.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are always nice and the hot tubs are great!
Cons: Our room was either too hot or too cold and the bed was pretty lumpy and uncomfortable. Probably not the best bed I've ever slept in.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is picturesque, close to downtown, food quality at dinner was excellent at Spencer's, friendly staff.
Cons: Entry door took multiple times to open on more than one occasion. Construction made finding my way around in building 5 a little confusing at times (from room to parking garage, from room to out the front door of the building.)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great ski instructor, took two lessons. Very good teacher
Cons: Need better early breakfast food service
4.5 Okay
Pros: It has nice amenities. Pools and hot tubs were nice.
Cons: Unfortunately the lady who checked us in was very rude. We were the only ones checking in and she could not be bothered. The buildings look run down and older. The worst thing was that the interior was dirty. Lots of stains on hallway carpet and in the room. Looks like they aren't cleaned regularly. We were disappointed with the facilities for the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the 4th building on the 8th floor over-looking the valley in a studio. It was a great view! It took us a little longer to get our room and they didn't have the room that we originally booked so they upgraded us. ( we were skiing so there was no rush to get into our room) The staff was friendly and the shuttle was very quick. The rooms were cozy and I loved having a balcony and little kitchen area. It also had a great big bathtub in its own room which was a little strange but it was nice after a long day of skiing. It was so quiet! The last place we stayed at we could hear everything but it was so peaceful and quiet, we had a great night sleep in our comfy bed!
Cons: The parking was a little tricky and navigating around the actual resort was a little strange and hard to get around. The room was a little dated but it was cozy. There wasn't a fireplace but the thermostat worked well and it didn't get too stuffy or hot. The bathtub room was very 80s but it was actually really nice and very much needed after a long day.
