Pros. I complained again later about the noise a couple of days later and the female owner, Familie Hermine, moved me to another room on the 3rd floor without a balcony facing the mountain at the back of the hotel after I rejected another room on the same side . I did not need or want a balcony and the room was larger and better maintained including the draperies and furnishings. The hotel was not full. Be sure to speak up and ask for a better room if you are not satisfied. The breakfast was adequate and the hotel is rated 4 stars, but is more of a 3 star hotel.
Cons. When I first arrived I asked for a quiet room and was given a shabby room (with a shared balcony) on the front of hotel facing the street. 6 loud men occupied the next 2 rooms which shared the balcony and would drink (boxes of beer and liquor on the balcony) and laugh and talk loudly from 6pm until 11pm every night. I complained to the male owner, Arthur Riml, who suggested I give it another night. I also requested a wake up call and he insisted that it be at the same time each morning for my 7 night stay. It was an automated wake up call system. The hotel is rated 4 stars, but I would rate it 3 stars.
