Pros: Proximity to river and adjacent to mall. Convenient for getting less expensive breakfasts - au pain dunkin donuts.......
Cons: Housekeeping for room was so so
Pros: Everything was perfect, like every minute of my stay.
Pros: Great location and service was very good.
Pros: Everything. Starting with the deco going from the confortable rooms and ending with the amazing food.
Pros: Super location
Lovely scent in lobby
Great staff - upstairs and down
Cons: 10am breakfast end. Went for a morning run so ended up at food court next door.
Pros: Best sleep of my life
Cons: a bit isolated from things, was here for a wedding but really not close to transport or much else.
Pros: Clean and friendly
Pros: We chose the hotel thinking we had to bring our dog with us and this was pet friendly. Turned out we did not need to bring him. We were so surprised at how nice everything was. Well appointed, lots of little surprises like wine on arrival, reasonable parking that was good for several hours after checkout, everything spotless and tasteful and quiet.
Pros: Bath robes were a great addition
Pros: I travel a lot for both business and pleasure and I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest hotels ever! The place is beautiful, the food excellent, and the staff bends over backward to accommodate.
Cons: no negatives
Pros: - mall right next door

Pros: As an old firehouse, this hotel has great character and is a nice respite from typical chain hotels. The breakfast was excellent and afternoon wine was a nice touch. This hotel provides a wonderful experience for guests and is a very good value.
Cons: Parking was very tight
Pros: The hotel, a former firehouse, has a beautiful feel. The very opposite of a cookie cutter chain hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and comfortable.
Cons: The location, in the center of Kendall Square, is difficult to park in. The hotel does have a small underground lot (which is great) but the fit is right. Despite a warning from front desk staff, we still managed to nick the front bumper...
Pros: We went for the 4th of July holiday and felt so comfortable in the small and warmly decorated hotel. Being such a crowded weekend, we never felt overwhelmed due to the hotel being near MIT and no school in session over the summer.
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, Wi-Fi hotspot in every room.

Pros: Lovely, friendly and perfectly located between Harvard Square and Porter Square.
Located in Cambridge, this bed & breakfast is a half-mile from Harvard Museum of Natural History, and 1 mile from Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. Harvard Square is 1.5 miles from the hotel, while Massachusetts Institute of Technology is 3 miles away.

Pros: Location was excellent. The room was very nice and comfortable. Excellent farm to table restaurant and bar.
Cons: Although they had a parking garage, the elevator to the lobby was out of order so you had to take the stairs and the stairs lead to outside the front entrance. Very inconvenient if carrying any bags from the car and also because of sub-zero temps that weekend. Also no in and out access for self parking at $40 per night. If you leave you have to pay again.
Pros: Location was great with excellent service and nice trait ants around in the plaza
Pros: One great thing about Harvard Square is the high energy and bustle, especially when school is in session. What makes The Charles so perfect is that it is a tranquil respite right on the edge of all the happenings.
Pros: The Charles is a perfect place to stay in Cambridge. It is well located, well designed with contemporary clean lines but still warm, and the Rialto is a fabulous restaurant in the hotel. We had a corner room which was quite spacious which we really appreciated as we were staying multiple nights.
Pros: Well decorated rooms. Convenient to Harvard square
Cons: Officious front desk staff. Being told they couldn't change our departure and charges despite a family emergency because it was our fault we used a third party reservation service. Being told entirely dissimilar rooms were the same. Smelly comforter covered by clean sheets. No coffee maker in room. Ice available only on request from room service.
Pros: Excellent service and superior restaurant. Very friendly staff who facilitated the check in and out as well as the luggage. I was in and out many times with my 7 year old grandson and he was always greeting with a smile. My daughter belongs to your health club and so they are used to going to your hotel.
Overall, a well located, efficient and very quiet hotel.
Cons: The room was very drafty near the windows- lots of cold air coming in
Pros: Everything is within walking distance as I enjoyed a glorious autumn afternoon. I browsed endless rows of books at the Coop, watched rowers glide along the Charles River and ran stairs at Harvard Stadium while the football team engaged in a spirited practice. When I returned to the hotel, the room smelled great. They must have a special scent. I enjoyed the organic soap, shampoo and lotion that came with the room. Henrietta's Table is great for breakfast / brunch, and I highly recommend The Harvest for dinner. A very nice stay.
Pros: Best Hotel in Cambridge/ location is perfect
Pros: The Charles Hotel is centrally located in Cambridge, so it's very easy to get around the town. We walked wherever we needed to go and got there quickly and easily. The hotel has several dining options and an actual fitness club, not just a room with some cardio equipment and universal equipment. The wifi works well and the staff were all very helpful. It's pretty expensive to stay here, but we found a good deal on one of the discount hotel sites. I'd return in a heart beat.
Pros: Great location near the center of Harvard Square. Rialto is an excellent restaurant. Regatta Bar is great if you like jazz.
Cons: Hotel is in need of renovation. New England shabby-chic means it's just a basic hotel in terms of cleanliness and room amenities. Bathrooms are seriously dated and in need of complete redo. Service levels are mediocre. Business center is a joke (1 computer and an attached printer). Prices are very high: you are paying for the location.

Pros: We had a meeting there and the staff went above and beyond to help us with our special requests and last minute changes
Pros: clean, modern, gym was big and pool too
Cons: i could hear the toilet of the next door room, it was hot and the fan i got was too noisy
Pros: Everything was modern looking and a great location
Cons: Too pricy for a thursday night
Pros: Great staff
Pros: the staff
Cons: late cleaning
Pros: Clean, Warm, nice rooms and great staff. I would stay there again.
Cons: No negatives.
Pros: great dining on the riverfront. Friendly staff
Cons: Food and beverage excellent. Would be nice if they had more vegan/vegetarian choices.
Pros: I liked both restaurants inside. It was very clean. The staff were amazing. It was a great experience.
Pros: The front desk staff was friendly and expedient.
Great location, right on the water -- excellent running trails.
All rooms have waterfront views. My room was clean, comfortable, and updated.
There are set taxi rates from the hotel to the airport -- so be sure you get the negotiated fare!
Cons: Art Bar had slow service -- I would recommend leaving the property to eat.
Pros: The staff were very friendly, very accommodating. Valet, front desk, in room dining, and bell service all exceptionally hospitable
Cons: Wish windows/ view were bigger
Pros: The location, view and Ambiance/decor
Cons: They charged $40 a night to park my car!!! It should be included or at least a lower set price!..
Also: bathroom vent was not working
Gym facility needs updating too!
The Royal Sonesta Boston understands the fine art of balancing work and play. Located only minutes from most of Boston
Its location allowed for close proximity to my destination, a nice array of choices for dining and entertainment. Though I did not avail myself of it, there is public transportation to traverse the city!
Pros: The ambiance and the company. The gathering spaces were so clean and well-apportioned. I did prepare my morning meal, and was quite satisfied. Wide selection of on-trend coffees.
Cons: A black-out curtain in the rooms to shield against outside light would be appreciated. All the guests were pleasant and interesting, but I could have benefited by other guests' mindfulness of wearing heavy shoes inside the house.
When you stay at Whitman House, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Harvard Square and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, and free perks include full breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Cons: The location doesn't lend itself to late night meals. Most everything nearby is closed.
The shower head has low pressure

Had all essentials without superfluous luxury
Unfortunately cafe/restaurant was not open yet
Cons: No desk. Stains on sheet.
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly
Cons: Water for shower did not heat up in the morning- was forced to take a lukewarm shower. Did eventually heat up before my girlfriend took a shower.

Cons: 1. Only one drawer
2. No desk or desk chair
3. Lighting was strange.
4. No "instruction" sheet.
Pros: wait staff in Champions was very good
Cons: shortage of drawer space.
lighting was awkward.
bathroom was poorly laid out.
amenities were not very good
Pros: The location.
Cons: They offered none of the amenities that typically are offered free at any other hotel I have stayed in. Very low value for the top money they ask for. I won't be staying there again on my next trip to Cambridge.
Pros: Convenient location. Clean room. Very helpful and pleasant staff.
Cons: It's shocking that for the price you pay for a room at a Marriott that Wi-Fi or wired Internet connectivity is not free. Really?
Bathroom vanity was very small, too small for two people to be getting ready at the same time. The under-mounted bathroom sink wasn't installed under the granite, vanity top correctly...surprisingly low build quality or QA, again, for the price of a room at a Marriott.
Pros: Location to the T- able to access the whole city from the hotel
Cons: Room was small for price
Pros: Nice view, good shower, renovated lobby
Cons: Room was old and unremarkable
Pros: I was very pleasantly surprised at the overall professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The location cannot be beat if you're visiting MIT.
Pros: Close proximity to T stop is ideal.
Cons: Bed was lumpy, hot water in sink was dangerously scalding.

Pros: Love the 24 hour access, the free parking, The super clean rooms and breakfast area
Cons: Easy to hear people in other rooms
Pros: Was located in the heart of Harvard...very nice people working at the B&B
Cons: Was a little loud but expected since a B&B
Pros: Location, home-like.
Cons: Price indicated when booking did not match actual price. Room was oppressively hot, and too small for a queen sized bed.
Just blocks from Harvard Square, Irving House is a 44-room guesthouse located on a quiet residential street. Most have private baths; we also offer rooms with shared baths (across the hall from the room). An award winning Green Hotel, the house is smoke-free. Free off-street parking is available; space is limited (we do not reserve spaces.)We have four floors and no elevator; if stairs are a concern, let us know, and we would be happy to reserve your room on the first or second floor.
Pros: Near T stop
--Overall it got the job done for a business trip, but I would choose a corporate hotel chain for the same price next time.
Cons: Cold and noisy room because of not tight windows
Not efficiently run or professional
Breakfast was corporate continental breakfast, not a "bed and breakfast" breakfast
Greeted at the front door like I didn't belong, but other than that one staff person, others were nice
Trouble with providing receipts for business travel
When you stay at A Cambridge House Inn at Porter, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Harvard Square and Harvard University. Free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Also, Boston University and Fenway Park are within a short drive.

Pros: - Huge selection of complementary breakfast
- Convenient location
- Flat screen TV

- Gym with TVs
- Free unlimited hot chocolate/coffee/tea in the lobby
Cons: - $40/night parking
Pros: The place is clean, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, upgraded and modern hotel, tvs are really nice
Cons: The cleaning products smell or residue is so strong. Made my eyes water and burn and inside of nose burn. The staff were very kind and moved me to another room. But smell and chemicals still there. Kept window open entire stay.
Also, parking is $35.
Cons: Why can I not include my Marriott rewards number in the Kayak reservation?
Pros: Friendly staff, amazing breakfast and close to the transit!! Definitely would stay here again!!

Pros: Fantastic Staff and accomodations. Great access to the T and Boston.
Pros: The staff were so helpful, they accommodated all of our needs, room service was great, a bit pricey but the breakfast was good. Overall our stay was amazing. We have stayed before and came back because the motel is spotless the beds are clean and cloud like. We will be back again.
Pros: itsclean and staffs are nice and friendly
Cons: there was a baby and his parents livimg in the next room.the toddler was crying whole night so i could not rrst or sleep after a lomg flight
there should be a separate floor for families with kids.
Pros: Very beautiful and comfy rooms.
Pros: Room's are well furnished and clean
Bed was above average comfort
Cons: Lobby is ugly, even without construction
Nothing stands out about the hotel.
Cons: Expensive and smell of Chinese or thai or some sort of food as soon as you enter the hotel
Pros: Staff were fantastic
Cons: Construction going on in the lobby
Lamps were ragged and stain on the sofa
Pros: Staff was nice. Location is terrific for quick access to Cambridge/MIT
Cons: Beds only so-so and pillows not great. Bathroom fixtures and amenities are also just okay. Walls are thin. Used to think of Meridien as an upscale brand, but this is just an average hotel.
Cons: They overbooked me and told me the day of.
Pros: Excellent location. Right next to MIT and Novartis.
Cons: 1) The temperature in the breakfast room was a bit COLD. It is a large room and one entire side is windows. I visited in mid-November. I wonder what it is like when winter sets in. 2) The water pressure in my shower was on the low side. 3) The fan in the climate control is noisy.
Pros: All of the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular, Daniel at the front desk and Paul at Sidney's. They went out of their way to give us insight and recommendations regarding the area and just went above and beyond in general.
The king bed was very comfortable and the 3rd floor roof garden was beautiful! We had a view from our room and were so pleasantly surprised. We spent quite a bit of time in it and feel that it's a great selling point for the hotel.
The hotel is very beautiful with spectacular modern lighting and art. We spent some time at Sidney's both eating and at the bar and found the food and drinks to be very tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many options.
Cons: The room could use some deep cleaning. The headboard, chaise, and pendant lamp had very noticeable stains on them.
The air conditioner was very noisy when it kicked off or on, loud enough to wake us up during the night.

Pros: Hotel staff were excellent, helpful, and very accommodating when there was a mix-up with room assignments. We really appreciated their friendly and gracious service.
Pros: breakfast was very good
Cons: parking was an additional coast. We had two cars $80 total
you can hear what is going on in the whole way and
Pros: Good elevator security, location, friendly doormen, the staff apologized for not taking care of my water problem or leaving a note.
Cons: Didn't fix the loud banging noise when I used the hot water in the bathroom sink, mold in the shower drain, shower clothes line didn't work, no Boston papers available, coffee poor quality, Starbucks croissants were day old and cost $4+, I had a view over industrial Boston, obstructed by the gym. Even the gym faced away from the water.
Pros: Easy about 1 mile walk to back bay.
Cons: Room smelled musty. First was given a room that wasn't cleaned properly. A shirt was in the corner of the room and a black mascara mark on the pillow. Then was moved to a room with a balcony which was nicer but still smelled musty and had eaten food(baba ganoush) left in the fridge. Housekeeping needs to improve! Will never stay again. Hyatt Regency in East Boston by the airport is way better!
Pros: Special thanks to Maria at the restaurant, and Roe, the omelette chef for outstanding service.
Pros: The online description advised on-site parking, it sure was, at $38 a day, I could have stayed at the Marriott down the road with free parking
Cons: $38 a day parking, turned my $150 room into a $200 a night room after taxes, very deceiving
Pros: Hotel is clean and comfortable, Free wifi.
Cons: High parking costs
Pros: The staff are very nice and accomodating. Rooms are comfortable and include wifi.
Cons: The restaurant is just ok
Pros: loved my room and the location!
Pros: Parking shoub be free.... One reazon i change to anotyer hotel.... But the night i stay was perfect..
Sophisticated and contemporary, Hyatt Regency Cambridge is a stylish hotel overlooking the Boston skyline. A proud recipient of the AAA Four Diamond Award, the Boston hotel features rooms with breathtaking views of the scenic Charles River and downtown Boston. Nestled between legendary colleges and universities and conveniently located just minutes from historic attractions our Cambridge hotel is the ideal place to conduct business, academic pursuits or leisure and exploration in Boston.
Cons: Having to pay $35 to park my car. Given location of hotel, how do they expect people to get there other than by car. It is not like the hotel was in downtown Boston. Should be free to Marriott members. Breakfast was o/k.
Pros: The hotel was incredibly clean. The fitness center had all we needed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, nice, helpful and very funny. This was a five plus star place for a cheap affordable price. We LOVED this place and we would stay at this hotel again.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. I truly love how clean it was. It could have done without the "NY parking charge" but as New Yorkers we get it.
Cons: Sawing and screwing noises woke me up at 7:30 am.
Cons: That it was being renovated, leading to a messy lobby, busy elevators and noisy early in the morning
Pros: The staff was very helpful and nice. I made a reservation for the wrong night with kayak and they guided me step by step to correct the error without penalty ( even if I already passed to deadline to cancel). While I was on the phone in the lobby the night manager brought a bottle of water free of charge.
Pros: Staff was great, excellent location, great breakfast (not included, at least at my rate). Comfortable room, nice bed, etc.
Cons: Heating didn't work, on a rather cold night. It was a bit like staying in a tent during winter camping that way. Staff indicated to me that the heating units (they were old school, but I wouldn't have minded if it worked :) are all in process of replacement.
Pros: Staff were pretty friendly.
Cons: Took 30 mins to find my booking. Rooms and facilities are old and run down. No room service. No beer on tap in the bar (i mean it is Boston) . Breakfast was expensive and poor quality and selection.
Pros: Great value for a roomy and spacious quiet location. I loved the shuttle it can pick you up near the stations but I wish I knew coming in instead of walking there.
Cons: No real amenities but there are renovations underway. Snacks were only provided on the first night not second.
Pros: nice view of boston--
Cons: too far to walk comfortably to cambridge
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: A bit far from Boston downtown
Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: I was a single girl and I needed help with my bags which were very heavy. I called up the concierge and the front desk 4 times but no one came to pick up my bags and I had to lift 3 bags on my own..

Cons: cold room, despite using the heat. mediocre bed and bedding, bizarre room layout.
Pros: The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable- breakfast was pretty decent
Cons: Very basic accommodations - staff was sometimes nice sometimes seemed to be indifferent- when we left we asked if she could call a cab and she did however the cab she called was unmarked he didn't help with bags and there was no meter and he charged us far more than it cost on the cab ride we got in our own. I only mention this because it seemed like this was someone she called all the time and I wouldn't recommend using them anymore. Seemed odd

Cons: Staff very insensitive - Trip was to testify in court because of my son's severe schizophrenia so that I could make medical decisions on his behalf - court date changed at last minute and they would not allow me to get a credit to move the reservation date because I booked with a travel service and not them directly. I did NOT want a refund - I just wanted some consideration to have them keep my $892 for 2 nights and move my reservation to the rescheduled court date - the manager of the hotel simply said "life happens" - they have no idea of a parent's grief over a very sick child. VERY DISAPPOINTING
Pros: Very clean.

- The wifi is very slow.
- Rooms are very old-looking.
- Way too expensive for what it is.
Allowed to park (free) early before check-in

Cons: I had car trouble, and all I was told from the staff was "Call AAA". There was no request if I needed any assistance or followup.
Area around hotel not very nice
