Very clean, nice view, friendly staff. We were only there one night, but would have liked to stay more.
It was a very friendly place with beautiful view. We were lucky because the hotel was almost empty, (it was out of season). Staff was especially friendly and helpful. Staff speaks english, hungarian and slovakian. The pool was temporarily out of order.
All in all, it's a hotel I would like to go back to anytime.
The staff where very nice and helpfull and although they did not tell us that we could eat an evening meal at the hotel & directed us on request & by map to local eating houses , so we went to another restaraunt each evening. A lost opportunity on their part. Beautiful views from the rooms we had with balcony the rooms were cleaned every day. pillows were lumpy & you need a car as the hotel is not in walking distance of the centre of Semmering for pubs and other eating places. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, we really missed having a cup of tea in the morning and evening although the staff were happy to make a tray up on request. We were lucky to have just missed 2 rival football teams that had stayed and left on the day that we arrived, it could have been a very noisey stay.
Remarkable place. Mountains. Fresh air.
Quiet atmosphere, comfort, very cooperative staff Swimming pool and its facilities should be more atractive.
Nice location. Well situated for skiing in Semmering.
The breakfast was tasty and correct, the location and the sight was very nice. There is no minibar and hairdryer.
It was clean, comfortable and good value for money. No evening meal available - despite a spacious restaurant
Very friendly staff Noise isolation rooms is very poor
-Very friendly reception staff, also staff at spa is really very friendly. -Surroundings of the hotel are absolutely beautiful, it is a great experience to spend a weekend there. -The quality of food int he restaurant was ok, but not really specail for such a level of 4**** Grand Hotel. -Hotel rejected on the last day to accept Credit Card payments, while such possiblity about Credit Card was mentioned on it's website. -The business corner pc was not workign well, as well a printer there.
Very stylish hotel design and decor; large, clean, comfortable room with generous third bed; very good food, efficiently served; very slight air of needing maintenance but altogether a great place to stay. Limited parking! But we managed.
Peace & quiet, good food, excellent service!
Good food and good location Did not know how to get a taxi from the Train Station to the Hotel. No Taxi waiting or taxi stand at the Station.
Sauna and swimming pool. Good access to the ski slopes/facilities. The size of double beds in the standard rooms are quite small. Internet access not available in the public area. Overall - quite pricey.
the food was excellent The Spa staff need more education and instructions-after a massage wrap and put in a quiet spot to relax instead of saying Thanks.GoodbyYou need one person who speaks some English.
Location of the hotel, elegance, luxury Bedroom was satisfactory, but the forest view to the rear, overlooked dustbins. Breakfast was a free-for-all and rather chaotic
the breakfast, the position of the hotel and its ambience there are some amenities which should be improven
location and view it was hot out, we were in the top floor, there was no a/c
This is really a mid-price business hotel in an area of outstanding beauty. It was clean and functional but a bit characterless. The swimming pool and sauna were good and the staff friendly. If you have a room overlooking the valley the view is outstanding. Low on style and charm. Quite a walk from the railway station
Indoor swimming pool No
The Staff was the best. The room was excellent clear, the mountains are beautiful. Super...
NIce and helpful reception staff, warm and clean room, nice view from the restaurant (unfortunately not from my room), relatively close to the slopes, but if you want to ski at Stuhleck, take a 6-7 kms ride. Restaurant setup and staff mindset is like a trade union hostel from the seventies behind the iron curtain. The look and feel are also like that. (In Hungarian "kicsit szocreál a hely, olyan balatoni régi szot üdülős") E.G. 12:15, noon, lunch time, totally empty restaurant, really nobody there, not even sure that it is open, seats for 200+ people, assumed can get a quick lunch. But, "Sorry what is your name? Hmm? You can only sit to that table 100 metres from the buffet, because that is your table, etc." Maybe this is normal if you go to a place where one week shifts are set and you always find your own table, but in a 4 star hotel, never seen before. Sauna capacity is lower than demand in the late afternoon hours.
The fact that it is walking distance from the ski piste (Zauberg). It needs an upgrade; the exterior looks like it is falling apart.
eggs :-) japan tourists :-)
The hotel had own parking spaces (free of charge), the staff was friendly. This hotel has only joint rooms (you share a door with someone else), and through it you can hear everything. Not a whisper remains unheard. If you like your privacy, and would like to sleep at night without people snorring in the room next to yours, skip this hotel. In addition, breakfast was tasty, but poor in selection.
approachable staff, welcome atmosphere, good food, nice location no
