THe staff werer friendly and welcoming And the room was spacious. They were hairs on the bath and the toilet sit. Also the bin was not emptied in the bathroom...
Pleasant staff on arrival. simple check in and out. everything explained well. Staff happy to help with any questions asked.
Service and staff very good and friendly. Room excellent - very clean and fresh. Old fashioned style pub for restaurant very good. At £30 the rate was excellent.
Ease of location, closeness to the pub for food, cleanliness and friendliness of staff and price. Temperature - the room was excessively hot and it didn't seem possible to turn the heating off.
Friendly , helpfull staff. Comfortable rooms, good housekeeping obvious. Proximity to a nice pub with reasonably good food! Convenient position re road network.
Very impressed with hotel and the room much bigger than in many others we have stayed at. Facilities very good nd staff helpful. Good location near to the town. We didn't eat there as we have family nearby but we were told by another guest that they thought the pub service didn't quite match the hotel, which is a shame, but I am sure this could be improved upon if it is the case and this would complete the package.
Someone at the desk to greet on my arrival (11.30pm. Very close to my final destination (Wyboston Lakes) My ground floor room was right nest the the busy a1 road, at an intersection so had very noisy traffic (including heavy goods vehicles) accelerating past my room and due to the occasional discourteous driver, some blasts of horns through the night. The room was freezing cold and I couldn't see how to increase the room temperature. Bathroom light did not work properly.
Helpful staff Lumpy bed Noisy, drunken guests coming in early hours and being rowdy for a while Fumes from painting of communal parts making me nauseous
Just generally good - friendly and attentive staff , good faciilties and a good breakfast.
Needs to be updated but overall ok, great location Old needs updating
Central location on riverfront, very traditional long established local hotel, clean and comfortable . Quirky. Nice breakfast. Rooms on small side , but comfortable .
Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. no, but I was surprised at the lack of minibar in the room
The hotel bed was the most comfortable bed of any hotel we have stayed in recently.Although we arrived quite late in the evening the reception staff were very welcoming. This was our second stay at this hotel.
Comfortable and Spacious Room. Helpful and polite staff. Plus, the location by the river.
The view over the river overlooking the rowing club.
Recognised as a frequent visitor. Given choice of room. Breakfast coffee is grim.
A very pleasent wedding reception Vegetables with main course, all of them, except roast potatoes, were very undercooked.
the location for the town etc plus riverside walks the pool was too small and too deep and jacuzzi did't work, so no spa and no relax
great location, quiet rooms, polite staff, great decor
Everything That the rooms were modern when the rest of hotel was boutique.
Was on a Conference
lovely room, good leisure club facilities Hard to find reception staff-alwayas behind closed doors, and not visible to find.
The cleaniness and comfort was most impressive. The room standard was extremely high and the food was acceptable if not outstanding. The location was difficult to find. The hotel was definately not in Huntingdon and there were few if any signposts.
Nice room which was very comfortable. Good breakfast with plenty of choice of different foods. Easy access to gym and swimming pool. The breakfast room/ restaurant lacks atmosphere in evening, ie does not feel like a restaurant. We stayed on first floor close to conference room - this was noisy due to presence of wedding party.
Clean, easily accessible Confusion and excessive charge regarding two small dogs staying in our room. We selected hotels for "animal friendly", but were charged an unannounced gbp 75 for "deep cleaning charges".
The service was good and the breakfast was substantial.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. Room service was overpriced. For an executive double it did not include breakfast and did not have a mini bar. Most other hotels offer these things for an executive rate.
Proximity to road networks etc. Comfortable environment to relax in. Very good service. Nil
The quality of everything used in building was particularly good, eg the doors were soundproof , width of corridors, lighting, air con, quality of bedding, in fact it was all faultless and I have rarely stayed in a better hotel at any price. It was all faultless
Staff were extremely helpful even tho' they were very busy - they were very pleasant and anticipated our needs. None
enjoyable spa, many choice of breakfast, room looked modern and clear, half hour get to the city of cambridge. no enough milk for making tea and coffee in the room
Room was very spacious and comfy and staff very welcoming and polite. Restaurant overlooked the lake and food was delicious and good value. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Shower was a little tempremental at times
Accommadation was good, especially as there was a bath. We couldn't find the hotel,it was poorly signposted, no indication that it was a hotel, and we spent about half an hour driving around to try and find the hotel part of the complex.
The executive suites were clean Very poor value for money, small rooms
Comfortable rooms. On-line you do not have guest reviews.
Nice place, equipment and service. No direction signs out and insite at all !
was able to stay on site whilst attending a wedding. I found the room quite expensive
The food in the Brasserie was the best food we have eaten out in 20 years and we eat out a lot. Outward appearance and approach to Hotel was disappointing.
We stayed in a very clean, spacious room with a large comfortable bed. The hotel had a good choice of breakfast menu. Directions to the hotel on the Wyboston site could be clearer. Difficult to locate hotel at night.
Free WIFI connections - excellent signal throughout the hotel
Very friendly staff, good check in. There was a smart casual dress code which I was not aware about, which was fine as there were other bars to chose from.
nothing staff not helpful, room freezing, and very basic
Very pleasant surroundings with views of open countryside. Quality of the breakfast.
very pleasant staff, rooms of a very high standard and food was gorgeous very quiet during the evening, lovely comfortable chairs upstairs but could have done with some background music
The Location. Breakfast was poorly organised.
friendly staff, room cleaned OK. Toilet seat needs renewing. Not nice. Otherwise, room good.
The receptionist, Linda, was very welcoming. She took me to the bar, rather than giving me directions. She was most helpful with any queries. N/A
the staff were courteous and we were made to feel very welcome nothing
It was a little tired and tatty and I would not have paid the full £100 per night for the room we had (at half price as it was Friday night it was OK). The welcome was luke warm.
The food was very nice and well presented. Room were large by British standards. We enjoyed the bar and Boddingtons on tap.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Room and surrounding areas are excellent even during their upgrade process. Ease of parking. Friendly staff. Drinks are reasonably priced. The breakfast was definitely not up to the expected standard, lacked freshness, and seemed to consist of what was left rather than being freshly cooked. This experience was repeated on on both days.
The attitude of the staff was excellent and the manager quite exceptional.
The hotel was very nice, room was comfortable The price of drinks(£9.00)sothern com and lemenade taken to room The price of breakfest to room(toast, orange and tea-£17.00!!!!!)
the shower had no water pressure and when we asked why we were told that the room had been refurbed and they were having trouble with the pressure. If this was the case, why were we given that room to start with?
Also, the T.V. was overall very good BUT I had trouble getting past the menu to watch the normal channels. I thought you had to go through the menu to watch the normal channels. It took me quite a while to figure out that I just had to press the number of the control to get the specific channels. But overall I was very happy. Thanks. A+++++++++++++++++
Nice Modern bathroom Double walk-in shower. Flat screen TV Comfy Bed. Breakfast quite expensive at £14.99
Location, Food and Helpful Staff Rooms were rather dated, some of the appliances needed replacing.
thep plumming was a bit noisey
Handiness to the Town Centre. Clean rooms and staff very friendly and welcoming. My folks stayed in room 710 and it was very pleasant however in the evenings all we could smell was drains. It didnt disrupt our break however maybe something you should look into.
central location yet next to river view from room
Good location. Nice room. Efficient service Pricey breakfast. Only one pillow. Cold atmosphere in bar area.
Very convenient location. Good beers in the bar A small point but the toilet looked liked a lavatory brush had never been used on it. Bathroom generally looked a bit shabby. Mattress very soft.
Location The hotel booked the room for the wrong date and money was taken from our account even though we had a booking.com receipt. The money was returned. Because of the mix up we were upgraded to an executive room, in these rooms breakfasts are provided , we knew this as we have stayed in one before. We were disappointed and somewhat embarrassed when we went down for breakfast on the second morning to be told there was no breakfast although there was one for the first morning. Not a particularly enjoyable stay made worse by the noise from the adjoining room which kept us awake until the early hours and then woke us at 6 am. All in all a poor experience.
Like most Holiday Inn expresses this one was clean and comfortable and perfect for arrive late, leave early business accommodation. Not a criticism but be aware that apart from the petrol station next door there is nothing else near this hotel so you will need to drive if you want to find a pub or restaurant.
everything no complaints just the fact if they had been full i would have been greatly inconvenieced due to them not recieving the booking
The design of the rooms, especially incorporating a single door to the bathroom and wc - very ingenius. The hairdryer: to continually have to push a button for the hairdryer to work was very annoying, together with the electrical cord not being very long - trying to dry a 3 year old's hair was time consuming.
Rooms near the railway line are noisy!
Too close to rail way, noise issues
Good quiet room very clean and comfortable, well laid out and larger than some far more expensive hotel rooms I have stayed in. Cost of drinks in bar and limited menu
Good sevice and a good brekfast
An easy and stress free experience, easy parking and a tranqil location away from the traffic and husstle and busle of the town. Fortunately I had a mobile otherwise it would have been hard to find. It is behind a filling station.
Convenience and the cleanliness of the hotel
Clean and comfortable - good heating controls in room - staff friendly and helpful Problem when booking in as the booking was recorded in my forename not surname. Breakfast options a bit sparse and basic
Very generous sized rooms and excellent breakfast. Clearly an old converted manor house with great character.
Beautiful, comfortable bedrooms, a lovely hotel in general and beautiful setting. Very good staff.
Very friendly staff, excellent room, very comfortable Set menu didn't give much choice, and even if you only wanted one course, you had to pay for two.
1. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable right from the start when food was available at 9:00 pm when we arrived! 2. The staff were without excellent - approachable, friendly and helpful; 3. The accommodation was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. 4. In the Dining Room at breakfast and especially at Dinner were attentive but unobtrusive.5. The whole experience was first class.
Just bstayed 1 night. The room was spacious and clean with pleasant decor. The bathroom beatifully clean and the shower perfect. Breakfast was included and excelent quality. Would definately stay again Nothing
Very nice atmosphere
excellent evening meal Staying in one of the cottage rooms there was little hot water in the evening and none in the morning, the staff did not really handle it well, basically saying the boiler was empty as a reason, I received £10.00 off my bill when I asked to speak to the manager but hot water is an absolute basic and the quality of the staff in dealing with it was not very efficient at all - a real shame.
the rooms are fantastic, bed was just so warm and comfortable, quilt is the best i have ever experienced in 24 years on the road, breakfast left a bit to be desired, asked for sausage, bacon and tomato and got just that 1 of each on a massive plate ?? next time will ask for 2 of each
The place, the old manor, and the welcome of the staff
Easy to find, good parking facilities and the size of the room was very nice. We thought there could have been some form of food available at 9pm on the day of arrival and the room could have been warmer. However it was a bitterly cold night.
The peace and quiet No cold water in the morning to shower or brush teeth
frendly approach of staff none
easily accecible, nice reception when we arrived room was ready, breakfast was good, nice and quiet.
The staff are very helpful and the rooms are clean. The location of the hotel is very convenient to a number of cities and colleges. Some of the rooms smell of cigarettes and we are non smokers.
We thought the staff were very efficient and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The only thing I could say is that it needs more drinks available on draught and a full english breakfast option.
Lack of a lounge to meet other delegates
Relaxed, quiet friendly service from all the staff
A fair priced hotel, friendly staff but a little bit hidden and there are no signs to find the way to the hotel the search for it
Nikki the receptionist. Very friendly lady. We booked the lodge thinking it would have been a busy bar, but Nikki provided the entertainment and Old Joe one of the regulars and a couple of others stayed behind after Nikki finished to have a drink and share a few laughs. For a lodge which are usually stiff and non friendly I would highly recommend Redwings. At least you can get a late drink whatever time you arrive. And a continental breakfast was included in the price. Weekend only. The room was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and our room was on the ground floor (smoking) overlooking a field. Very nice. Would certainly go back for an overnight stay.
24 hr bar, smoking rooms. comfort would love a cooked breakfast especially in the winter.
