Absolutely!!! When reservations were made it was described as vac ng an indoor/outdoor swimming area. When we arrived we were told everything was closed until the weekend as kids went back to school.
I loved the location; beautiful for walks, fishing, riding bikes and more.
Great waterparks both indoor and outdoor. Nice playground close by.
The water rentals were a joke. They did not have jetskis or a 5 person peddle boat available.
Great location. Staff very helpful. Took our oldest grandchildren and they had a blast
that there was a water park
that the water park was closed for maintenance, YOU at priceline should of had something in your app that said that the water park was closed, other wise i would of stayed else where
The hotel was very nice, clean, spacious rooms and friendly helpful staff.
Sunday Brunch at the restaurant was lacking, the hot food was cool and the cold food was warm. Also, the waiting staff were slow in their service.
We visit my elderly mom frequently in Storm Lake and have never had a bad stay here. Clean rooms, great service, and friendly people - plus a beautiful setting with the lake.
We were very disappointed overall with Kings Pointe. I am just going to list the things that we did not care for-the water at the INDOOR waterpark was very very COLD. Two of our four children didn't hardly get in the water. The arcade could hardly be called an arcade, there were like 5 games a pool table and an air hockey table. At least two of the games were broken when we were there. The security there was terrible, no doors were locked anywhere, the only place you had to use a key was to get into your room. The sign says no one will be allowed into the waterpark without a wristband, but I walked by multiple times without mine on and no one said a thing to me. We chose to eat at the onsite resturant because we could not find anything in our room that said anything about the town or other places to eat. The food there was horribly overpriced and not good at all. We ended up going to a gas station to get snacks because our kids were hungry. One thing I thought was strange was that there are Crabtree and Evelyn soaps in the rooms, but powdered coffee creamer. You would think that they would think to put liquid coffee creamer in the room. On an end note-The hotel is new and pretty nice. All my kids thought the waterpark was neat (water was cold). I would not stay at the hotel again because to me it was not worth the $345. I would however go back to the waterpark-in the summer when the water is warmer-and on a Sunday when it is only $5 to get in.
