The Royal Stuttgart hotel is located in the bustling centre of the city of Stuttgart with good access to public transport. Both the bus and the tram station are just 100 meters from the hotel and the main train station is within walking distance as is Stuttgart's extensive shopping area. The building is not particularly prepossessing from the outside not unlike the neighboring office blocks. The lobby which is on the first floor up a flight of stairs from street level is small and decorated with marble. It is welcoming with a warm colour scheme and dark wood reception desk. This hotel is an ideal choice for those who want to enjoy a smart hotel in the heart of Stuttgart. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby area for clients. The bedrooms vary in size but on average are large with wooden desks and bedside tables fitted to the walls. They appear very classical and quite luxurious in style. Both the rooms and bathrooms are in very good condition. The restaurant is situated just off the lobby and is a warm elegantly appointed room decorated in a pale cream colour.
Very convenient, only 1 block to Königstr. with the shops & restaurants. Easy access to the U-/S-Bahn. Nicely decorated and clean bathroom.
Beds are a little small for those of us who are 190cm (6'3")
The room sizes are generous, and the decor is good. it also is at one end of the shopping street and handy for many bars and clubs. Breakfast can be obtained for 5 euros 50 metres away from the hotel.
The street side suffered from the delivery truck noise, then the club turn outs. also the old style radiators pumped out too much heat - quite difficult to turn down.
The hotel is very convenient to the S-Bahn, a little less so to the U-Bahn. It's close to the major pedestrian zone. The room was very clean and reasonable comfortable. The staff was very polite and friendly.
Much of the room was sacrificed to a sofa: wasted space for when all you want is a place to sleep and safely store your luggage.
The location is perfect for daily strolls in the heart of Stuttgart
No Newspapers in other languages (English). Not even one Englisg News TV channel is available in the rooms.
The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel suited Kundera perfectly and the room was absolutely first rate
The hotel decor is outdated (apparently pictures on the website are not representative) and the level of cleanliness leaves much to be desired.
Great position, friendly and helpful staff, nice feel to the place.
The price of some drinks is, frankly, ridiculous
Convenience of being close-in to the city's major activities, plus the delightful friendliness of everyone on the hotel and the dining room (for the complimentary breakfast) staff. Definitely our preference for future visits to Stuttgart.
central location. Ease of nearby cafes for dining , shoppping, trains
It needs refurbishment. Bath had no shower curtain. TV was too old and really an embarasment for a hotel.
Special and wonderfull furniture, clean and new bathroom
Breakfast and the service quality at breakfast room was very good.
Room is smaller and at less confort level than what one would expect from a 4 star hotel. (ie. room is 3 star, breakfast is 4/5 star). Also, there was no high speed internet service available.
