Pros: Beautiful resort with fantastic French flair for service. Our room was very nice. The concierge was very helpful finding great restaurants and a fun day on a boat to Anguilla.
Cons: My only complaint was that the beach is very stony. Few people swam at the beach as a result. I expected that it would be the typical idyllic sandy Caribbean beach and was disappointed.
Cons: Outdated facilities, poor skills of personnel . They gave us wrong room without ocean view, only afterwe insisted they changed the room. They double charged me for airport, USD 60 in the hotel bill, taxi driver charged us for another USD 25, generally bad experienceaa
Pros: Staff was exceptional! Beautiful place, beautiful people! Everyone went out of their way to help in every way possible.
Cons: İta not worrh the money period
When you stay at Bleu Emeraude Residence in Grand Case, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Grand Case Beach and 4 minutes by foot from Happy Bay. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Hotel located within walking distance of fabulous restaurants. Easy cab ride to orient beach. The facilities are wonderful, full kitchen, outstanding balconies, and right on the beach.
Cons: No fault of theirs, but hurricane Irma really damaged most surrounding properties. Proof of how well built this place is. But was sad seeing all the damage, I can only imagine how active this beach was prior to fall 2017.
Pros: We moved our stay. Frederick and Kelly were exceptional. Beautiful hotel and perfect beach. I would very highly recommend. We will be back!!
Pros: The location is a few minutes walking to all of the restaurants and shops, yet quiet enough that we have the beach to ourselves most of the time. Kayak, Snorkeling equipment and many other water toys are provided. We had the convenience of a kitchen and a sofa bed for our son. The most incredible view from our balcony, and the ocean in front is like a calm bath. We couldn't be happier.
Cons: The staff is only there during limited hours, so when we arrived half an hour early, there was no one to let us in.
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean, ocean views
Pros: We LOVED Frederick! And guest Brice;) Best of the best on Grand Case! Just brilliant!
Cons: That the prosecco and wine were not free
Pros: Apartment was very nice and fairly new. It was right on the beach. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Wifi could be better. Continental breakfast left something to be desired.
Pros: Location. Space. Room. View and the staff.
Pros: Everything about Bleu Emeraude is excellent, from the welcome to the departure. Frederic and Kellie were so friendly and amenable, we felt very welcome. The studio apartment was beautiful and the cleaning every day was excellent and efficient. The bed also was very comfortable. We would never stay anywhere else on Saint Martin.
Cons: Perhaps a little more variety for breakfast but really it was adequate and there was always the option to prepare something in the apartment, which had an excellent kitchen.
Pros: Amazing staff, beautiful property, walking distance to great restaurants, right on a beautiful beach. Free Kayak & Stand Up paddle-boards.
Cons: Loud traffic, motorcycles and trucks make a lot of noise so difficult to sleep in after 6 am.
Pros: Perfect location right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and modern apartment.
When you stay at Grand Case Beach Club in Grand Case, you'll be on the beach, a 1-minute drive from Grand Case Beach and 6 minutes from Orient Bay Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location. Private beaches. Beautiful vegetaton. Excellent bar and restaurant Hospitatlity excellent. Clean rooms great food Walking distance to Grand Case restaurants
Cons: Breakfast did not open until 730 No coffee for rooms Water Treatment behind rooms Small rooms. No complaints just observations
Pros: This place exceeded my expectations greatly. From the staff friendliness to the comfortable studio to the amazing and the quiet beaches. This was a perfect choice.
Pros: The hotel was under construction due a storm that happened over 2 years ago. Restaurant : complimentary breakfast was a piece of toast and butter and coffee, lunch was very medicine also staff not knowledgeable and sometimes rude. For dinner we went outside hotel, surrendering area was dark and scary
Pros: The Grand Case is perfectly located for those who want to escape the more commercial aspects of St Martin/St Maarten but still be close enough to a characterful small town with excellent dining facilities. There is excellent swimming from the hotels two beaches, and it is the perfect location for watching beautiful sunsets. A very good French restaurant is located within the complex. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, and we are already planning a return trip.
Pros: The laundry facilities were a bonus. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Cleaning staff were very cheery and the free car park.
Cons: The bed was a bit firm.
Pros: I loved the the loft we stayed in. It had an excellent view for us to relax every evening. The Sunset cafe was such a surprise. The food was excellent. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful time.
Pros: Grand Case Beach Club is the nicest, most tranquil location on the French side of the island. The entire town of Grand Case was hit hard by the Hurricane and this facility is still rebuilding. Nonetheless, it is beautiful, well functioning, right on the beach and walking distance to a great collection of the best French and Caribbean restaurants on the island.
Cons: The gym has not yet been rebuilt.
Pros: Food and bar drinks were great as was the hilltop breezy location looking our over the sea.
Cons: The room smelt musty, as if it hadn't been used for a while.
Pros: The ocean was in front of my room. I was listening the waves all night.
Pros: The Grand Case Beach Club was amazing! While they are still recovering from the hurricane, the renovated rooms were beautiful The beaches were amazing and not overly crowded at all. The staff was very friendly and the onsite restaurant had fantastic food! We absolutely loved it here and look forward to coming back again.

Pros: It was the best start in our holidays. Everything was perfect. A wonderful hotel team let us feel most comfortable. The restaurant was great!
Pros: The beach was perfect and right outside! Our view was second to none. Staff was phenomenal and very eager to help. 100% would recommend.
Cons: Bed was a little stiff to my liking, but didn’t bother my wife. Area is still recovering, so options somewhat limited...but the 5-10 places open for dinner in walking distance were amazing.
Pros: We had a gorgeous view of the sea in a beautifully designed room. Team knew how to go above and beyond Excellent food at the on property restaurant which felt like an oasis
Cons: Many properties surrounding the hotel were still devasted from hurricane Irma
Pros: LTC"s super cool, attentive and friendly staff made a great stay even better. The beach is very well groomed & cared for. The beach waiters somehow telepathically know you want a drink before you do. An excellent place to be.
Cons: I didn't like having to leave.
Pros: Location was fantastic. Beautiful beach, gorgeous facilities.
Pros: Beautifully decorated and clean. The staff was amazing and the beach is spectacular. Great restaurant on the property and some open in the surrounding area.
Cons: Grand Case is still rebuilding after hurricane Irma and the neighborhood around the hotel is still is disrepair. Come with open mind and help rebuild by supporting the local businesses.
Pros: ambience charming and modern facilities great bar music
Cons: beach has been hit very hard by hurricane and most of the houses in this beach still being rebuilt the impression iof the houses./beach is still bak
Cons: The city was a mess
Pros: Location was perfect...on the beach, near all the great Grand Case restaurants
Pros: The location and the views from the room are phenomal. There’s not much night life since it’s the French side of the island but if you’re looking for intimacy good food and just relaxation time this is the place to be
Pros: Great location and facilities, right on the beach with rooms that face the sea. Happy, helpful and staff that are not overbearing or pushy. Food was excellent as well.
Cons: Fairly pricey especially if you eat and drink at the hotel for the majority of the time spent. Would be nice if breakfast was included or built into original price for less that $15-20 per person.
With a stay at La Playa Orient Bay in Orient Bay (Orient Bay), you'll be a 1-minute drive from Orient Bay Beach and 7 minutes from Pinel Island. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great staff!
Cons: All perfect!
Pros: Everyone was exceptionally nice.
Pros: Very friendly staff, it felt like a family. Very nice rooms, with good sea views.
Cons: Due to substantial rebuilding after hurricane Irma, the hotel looks very different to what is shown on the website. The beachside bar/restaurant served good food but only at breakfast and lunch. There was no cocktail bar open to relax with a sun-downer after 17.00. It looks like this area of the hotel is still under development so may improve.
These beautiful, modern studios are located beachfront in Orient Bay and offers sea views. Studio Orient Bay has free Wi-Fi and on-site parking. Each bright studio at this property will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a seating area. There is a full a kitchenette with a microwave and a refrigerator. Maid service is provided once a week. The property also has an on-site bar. Grand Case Bay is located within a 10-minute drive of Studio Orient Bay. L’Esperance International Airport is less than 3 km away.
Pros: The appartment was very clean and comfortable. The location could not have been any better. The balcony faced the ocean and the view was beautiful. The landlord was extremely helpful with any questions we had.
Pros: Best beach view in the world.
Cons: Remote location. No taxis or car rental close by. External Facility in need of repair and upkeep since hurricane Irma. Also too many steps and the walk to unit was long.
Pros: Inside of the apartment is very clean, well furnished, and has everything that you need for cooking. Nice bed and air conditioning. It is a very comfortable place to stay. The balcony is also nice with view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this place if you have a car to go to shops and over to Grand Case which in my opinion is a nicer beach and area.
Cons: The only thing about this place is that is located at north end of the Orient Bay away from the action, and the distance from the car park is quite far. Obviously still recovering from Hurricane Irma damage so it would not be fair to comment too much on the look of the place from the outside.
Pros: The picture of the room was on point. The grounds was like a war zone. You would have to be back before night fall ,because the property would be pitch black. No lighting on property. Locals say the damages been there since the 90's. They didn't show pic's of the beach area because it's abandon and very sorry water. You'd have a 20min walk for clear water safe area. I would never return
Cons: The dirty beach, hard to get around, the war zone village like village ground. Felt very unsafe, no lighting on property for night, looks abandoned and
Cons: It was in a location where there was nothing to do. It is in a resort that had been damaged during a storm. It was on a beach that was not fit for humans to swim in. This resort was raggedy including the office and reception area. I was told it is located on the French side of St. Martin. Most of the few people on the resort only spoke French. All televisions had only one English speaking channel. The rest of the other television channels were in French.
Pros: I really liked how well I was able to contact the owner of the property, He always answered and was very pleasant. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots pans plates, bowels, silverware pretty much everything you would need to cook a meal. the bathroom was very clean! he even threw in complimentary house slippers!
Pros: It was a studio no breakfast we made our own. Great location Mr Amaury Meziere was wonderful we could not find the location he met us at the beach and took us to the studio he even took 2 of our suitcases for us. When ever we needed something he always would QUICKLY respond and help us. We enjoyed the balcony very much the Studio was IMMACULATE we were very happy only minutes to the beach and less than ten minutes to Grand Case. Would rent from Amaury again. There was a pizza Restaurant on the premises OUTSTANDING gourmet Pizza we ate there twice. The week went by fast our purpose for the week was the beach. Hope to sometime in the future to go back to the same location and book another fantastic week with Amaury at his location. Very Happy. A++++++
Cons: Everything was PERFECT!
Pros: Everything was perfect.Clean, fresh atmosphere exists here with us. Very nice ocean view gave us inspiration and motivation to think about our life. Especially, spending time at the balcony was outstanding. I will come back again. Thanks
Pros: location was very nice
Cons: the view was very nice
Pros: Studio Orient Bay was amazing! The condo had a chic modern design, lots of room and an excellent view of the beach. The balcony was perfect for meals, with a view extending the length of Orient Bay. We could not have picked a better place to stay. I would high recommend this place to anyone and if we ever come back to St. Maarten, we will definitely be staying here again. This place was perfect!
Pros: Orient Bay studio was great, comfortable, super clean and with a great view. I really enjoyed it. It was peaceful and super quiet, and since I was there during full moon, I had great view in the night with a big moon over the ocean and could catch some perfect sunset as well as sunrise.
Cons: During the day it was easy to move around and cross the beach to the part with great restaurants and the beaches. In the evening though one had to take a car to reach out any of the good restaurants and happenings. appreciated
With a stay at Esmeralda Resort in Orient Bay (Orient Bay), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Orient Bay Beach and Grand Case Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Walking distance to the beach and came with free beach chairs.
Pros: The rooms and property are beautiful, but it was the staff that put the extra sparkle on Esmeralda! Every person my daughter and I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and always offering to do anything to make our stay perfect...which it was!!
Cons: The only thing that would have made it better would have been for us to be able to stay longer!!
Cons: Large, beautiful accommodations. Orient Bay beach is spectacular. Great restaurants in complex & within walking distance.
Pros: We relocated to Esmeralda because our booked accommodation was not quite what we expected! It was a really good move and worth the extra money.
Pros: The staff were all friendly and helpful!
Pros: The staff was incredibly accommodating and pleasant. The room was immaculate. The beach is in walking distance. The views are breathtaking.
Cons: I loved everything about the resort
Pros: I loved the large, clean rooms. The pool by our room was amazing; it was clean and the temperature was perfect. We had breakfast included and it was really good. The Astrolabe is an excellent restaurant. We ate dinner there every night. Fridays are Lobster night and they have a singer to entertain you during your meal.
Cons: We didn't like how much seaweed was on the beach, much of this island is still under construction, and not alot to do if you don't have a car to explore.
Pros: Location rooms staff and pool
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. They included some light offerings like fruit and pastries, but if you wanted something more, you could order from the menu for an additional price. It was fresh and flavorful, and I was okay paying if I wanted more food as what they provided as part of the room stay was really nice. Service was great all around, very accommodating. The service we received from the front desk staff was great. Rodgers booked a great excursion for us, and everytime we needed help with a taxi or anything, the entire team was ready to help. The facilities were great, the room very spacious and I loved the private pool at each villa. If you wanted a break from the beach, a dip in the pool was perfect. It was peaceful, restful and relaxing. Mostly couples, I didn't see a lot of families which was just fine for us :-) The beach and local bars / restaurants are all within a short walk, and all very nice / accomodating. The ability to use the beach chairs at a few of the local spots was great and something that was included with our stay at the Esmeralda. Otherwise it would have been $40+ per day for us to sit on the beach, so this was a really nice perk and well appreciated. Overall a wonderful stay, just too short! Would love to come back and will recommend to others. Great trip.
Cons: There was no in-room coffee, and I wasn't entirely sure if the coffee in the restaurant was available outside of going to breakfast (ie, could you walk over and grab a cup?) Location wise it was walking distance to the beach. It would be nice to be able to walk out and be on the beach, but the walk was not anything taxing and the other amenities offered well made up for it not being beachfront. Everything else was really wonderful! Honestly, if the coffee situation was the only thing that wasn't ideal, they are doing the important things right!
With a stay at Hotel La Plantation in Orient Bay (Orient Bay), you'll be a 2-minute drive from Orient Bay Beach and 7 minutes from Pinel Island. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was good, not great.
Cons: The bar ran out of beer, not because of over use, they just didn't have enough.
Pros: good breafast location good
Pros: Friendly staff and service.
Cons: Too basic for the price.
Pros: Staff was super accommodating, helpful and friendly! Bartender welcomed us with a drink and a bonus shot!
Cons: Our first room had a broken A/C unit and we were switched to another room that same night with no hesitation. Overall, good experience.
Pros: Great views of orient bay. Walking distance to the beach and the village restaurants. Front desk was very helpful.
Cons: Since it’s on a hill giving the great views it may be a tougher walk for those with any problems walking due to age or handicap.
Pros: Breakfast was a very basic continental buffet, adequate but some more variety would have been welcome.
Pros: I loved my suite and the beach was so close to the location of the hotel. The staff is all amazing!! Seriously, they are the best. There are many restaurants and shopping in the area and my boyfriend and i had no idea. We just happened to take a different route to the beach one day and we found another supermarket, restaurants and shopping right nearby. We were in awe. The location is just perfect. The only two areas of improvement is the breakfast and the bugs in the room. The breakfast could use more options. Maybe some bacon, bagels, more meat selections. The bugs are kind of inevitable because it is an island and it's going to happen. The cockroaches and I are fierce enemies, and when I mentioned it to Daniella (MY BOO! ❤) she was kind enough to leave us our own can of spray in our room. I put it to very good use. She also left me and bottle of vanilla rum when I mentioned it was my birthday. I came back to my room with a smile after reading the warm note and birthday wishes, and the rum was so good. They are so kind and attentive at La Plantation and I will totally be back very soon. I'll just be sure to not forget my bug spray.
Cons: The bugs and breakfast aren't enough to make me not want to return. I loved it there anyhow.
Pros: Property was clean, rooms were spacious. Staff was very accommodating
Pros: Great location! Close to the best beaches! Our room had amazing ocean views. Clean rooms, great staff!
Cons: All good
Pros: Good location, restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast could well be more varied.
When you stay at Hevea Hotel in Grand Case, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Grand Case Beach and 4 minutes by foot from Happy Bay. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location was central to reaching our daily excursions.
Cons: There was a lot of noise outside our bedroom as communal facilities were accessed.
Pros: Wonderful locally run guest house just across the street from the fabulous beach at Grand Case. Beautifully restored after Hurricane Irma. Comfortable bed with mosquito net, good shower, fridge and air con plus outdoor terraces. Well located on Grand Case Boulevard, home to some excellent French Restsurants and the local Lola BBQs. Staff very helpful and speak both French and English.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: The rooms were clean and well decorated. The common areas were nice and peaceful. There was a man who said he lived there that was very friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time across the street at the beach hotel restaurant where there was great food and service, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were lots of close by restaurants that served amazing food, and everyone outside of the hotel spoke English with us without a problem.
Cons: Be sure to read the email about letting them know when to expect you. The office is closed during the afternoon. We arrived around 2:30 pm and read a sign about calling to let them know we were there. We didn't have phone service. A nice man helped us with our keys. When, the office opened I went in to properly check-in. The owner said he didn't know English very well and we had a few difficult conversations about getting extra towels, finding a trashcan in one of the rooms, and if there were boat rides we could take. The only complaint about the Coralie room was that the toilet water was very smelly, and the blanket had a large tear in it. My father-in-law stayed in the Canna and complained it was too dark next to the bed and in the bathroom. The next day, I saw a large long scratch across our rental car door that was parked in their lot. The owner left for vacation, and the woman who was managing the hotel said she could check the cameras to see what happened. After a few days she said she couldn't contact the owner and there was nothing she could do. She was not friendly even though I tried to use some French politeness and say hello. We had breakfast the first morning and the service was so slow I wasn't sure how you were suppose to order. I had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask for anything. The coffee was luke warm, and they didn't have napkins. The wi-fi was terrible, even in the common areas. We couldn't get any signal on the TV. At check-out, we wanted to put two rooms on separate cards. I tried to explain this to the owner on the first day who said he can do that at checkout. The woman said it wasn't written up that way but eventually split it for us. However, she wouldn't show me a bill, or a list of charges for breakfast, or the mini-bar. She also had additional mini-bar charges for beer that we didn't take. I had to leave with no printed bill because she insisted on emailing it to me.
Cons: Go to check in at 2pm. The hotel is unattended from 12-4pm daily. There is a phone number on front door to call. No one answered this number for hours, had to wait with all our luggage. AC dripped all in my suitcase.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: No internet my whole stay
Pros: Very friendly owners, nice location very close to the beach and some nice restaurants and bars.
Cons: The only thing we can think of was that there was no curtain for the shower so the floor would get pretty wet. However towels were changed daily so this was not really a big problem.
Pros: Beautiful hotel. Well maintained with great staff. Very clean and steps away from great restaurants and the beach. The owners were very accommodating throughout my stay.
Pros: All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location very good in Grand Case - close to beach and many good restaurants. Breakfasts were very good and fresh.
Cons: WiFi available but a bit unpredictable in our rooms.
Pros: We loved the design and beachy feel of the room, and it was located right beside a beautiful backyard area where you can relax on beach chairs. It has pretty much all of the facilities required of a hotel - can't cook here but has glasses for wine. The location of the hotel is very convenient for walking access to all the restaurants, lolos, shops and the beach. The owner also serves a good breakfast which is popular for non-staying customers as well. Also don't forget to give the resident cat some attention, she's very friendly.
Cons: The door for this room is very hard to lock and unlock! Would be nice to get that fixed. People should know that when you are driving here you have to drive in this round-about fashion around this narrow one-way street and the hotel parking is limited to 3 small cars.
Pros: The location is perfect close to the beach and all the excellent restaurants in Grand Case. The room was small but comfortable. The staff were helpful and very friendly, convenient parking next to the hotel
Cons: There was no coffee machine which was disappointing.

Pros: Location was good. We liked the kitchen facilities in the room. O
Cons: One of my room mates told me he was bitten by "bedbugs."
Cons: That someone came to fix the bed and left a cockroach my boyfriend killed the night before
Pros: Location was good. Far enough out of town to be guilt but easy walk to the harbour.
Cons: The rooms were a little run down and in need of tlc. No hot water in the bathroom basin
Pros: staff was OK
Cons: the room on one side had a low ceiling (aroud 5feet) so i was bumping my head coming out of bed or walking around it.
Pros: Friendly staff, clean, and quiet. Air Conditioning worked well.
Pros: Comfortable clean beds. Basic but good hotel.
Cons: No kettle
Pros: Quiet position, clean and adequate room. Nice pool. Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Super Friendly and convenient. Shop and restau around. Pharmacy close by. Quiet and clean.
Pros: On bay. Close to several towns and beaches. Outdoor kitchen.
Cons: Dining and bar service a little disorganized.
Pros: The beach was nice, the Sunday barbeque was great and a beach bar is the best.
Pros: Quit place and big room with big balcony and nice view
Cons: The beach with the hotel is poor, sand in the lagoon (in the sea) is like mud. Beach outside the water is great.
