9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic panoramic view of mountains. Very nice host family.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice host, good food (8€ per person for dinner) & great view.
Cons: Due to the almost perfect rating we came here with high expectations. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed. There is no heating and it was quite cold during Dinner and in the room. The dinner itself was nice, but the TV was running, and the bar/downstairs area isn't welcoming.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly family-run B&B. As I arrived in Theth in the middle of a rainstorm, they kindly sent a driver to collect me from the village centre. Good-value dinner (no choice beyond vegetarian or meat options, but very tasty and authentic). Sweeping view of the valley.
Cons: Location is a bit high up on the far side of Theth, and a fairly long walk from the main sights church, lock-in tower and local museum. Still, the walk takes you through nice country paths on the way!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host family was spectecular! They treated us very kind and polite. From breakfast to lunch to dinner, everything was home made and freshly prepared. The family was helpful with all the instructions and hints and we would love to come back
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great host, very friendly. Made super delicious food. We booked one bed but we got another room instead with 2 seperate beds. Great view on the mountains of Theth valley.
Cons: Shower and toilet downstairs, toiletseat broken
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice guesthouse with very tasty dinner and breakfast. Communication works fluently with the daughter of the house! We learned a lot about albanian traditions and had a wonderful stay. Furthermore, the way back to Shkodra was perfectely organized by our hosts as well.
Cons: The wonderful view comes at the price of walking up the hill.
7.5 Good
Pros: Theth is set in a great location. Clean basic room. Great food in the restaurant next door.
Cons: We arrived after a long slow trip by car and the owner, who had basic English, took us to our room which was cold. We were holidaying in September and there was no heating. There was a spotlight outside our window so we hung a blanket up - this actually made the room feel more homely. Accommodation in Theth is expensive compared to the rest of Albania. Breakfast was sparse on our first morning but good on the second.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the guesthouse is very friendly and the food was great :). Location is also good, just a short walk to the ‘city centre’. I would definitely recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner was very kind and open! Also the house is very nice, with a perfect view and comfortable bed.
Cons: It is a bit far (40 minutes) walk from the "center" of Theth, where other guesthouses and market are. Also there could be better information on the fact that you need a 4x4 car to get to Theth provided by the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, bed is comfortable. Very nice view from the house. Breakfast and dinner is good. Value for money.
Cons: Nothing

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in Thath. Close to start of the Teth-Valbone trek.
Cons: No heating devices in the room and we had a cold night at the begining if October.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property in general is good, but be aware that there’s no AC or heater in the room. The family is very nice and polite. The breakfast and dinner was very good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Theth is a mountain village at the end or start of the Theth to Valbone walk. It is also accessible by a 4x4 minibus from Skhoder. The Harusha is very close to the actual trailhead in Theth so no extra walking to your accommodation. They also supply dinner for a reasonable price. Room is a little Spartan but the bathroom is quite spacious with a proper shower cubicle. Wifi was good. Hosts arranged minibus pick up for us for return to Skhoder.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. Typical local food, very suited for hiking purposes. The family is so nice and welcoming. A real magical valley and this place is located perfectly in it. Minimarket & bar next door
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nikoli and his brother were very helpful and amazing hosts. Food was excellent.
Cons: People upstairs were very noisy. Large group.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family was very nice, and the food was great -- dinner was only 8 euros and more food than we could eat. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful owner, checked up on us and helped organise transport when leaving. Food was fantastic. Location was great and room was very nice.
Cons: Only negative is wifi was weak but you’re not there to sit on your phones so not a big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were traveling with a baby and she gave us a room with 3 beds although we had booked a double room. The room was clean and comfortable. The accommodation is in the center of Theth, very close to the church and the waterfall.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vera and Pashko could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed with open arms and great conversation, as well as, Turkish coffee and Pashko's homemade raki. After a long days drive from Montenegro it was a perfect way to relax. Our room was in the 250 year old farm house where Pashko was born and has been in his family since the beginning. Very charming, clean and comfortable. Vera's dinners were a highlight of our stay. We had lamb, stuffed peppers, tomato salads, patotatos, chicken, pickled eggplant and more. You will not go hungry! We enjoyed the group dinner setting with fellow travelers to share hiking stories, a few jokes, and casual conversation. All in all just the perfect place to stay.
Cons: We have no complaints.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hostess Vera is great and speaks good English, which is very helpful in Albania. The facilities are basic but they are clean and maintained. Vera can prepare good dinner on request, which again is helpful after a day of walking. The dinners were the best traditional meals we had in Albania.
Cons: It would be helpful to have a kettle in the room and perhaps information on drinking water when you reach there. The rooms are not made up daily when you staying there, which of course is relevant only if you are there for more than a couple of nights. The place is about 15 mins from the start of the Valbone trail but I guess that doesn’t matter when you are there to walk about anyway.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it here. The surrounding moutains & the church is a beautifull place to be. The family is very hospitable and always smiling. Homemade breakfest and dinner are both delicious. We hope to come back someday. I recommend going to the Grunas Falls, its really nice. Unfortunatelly the next day it was raining so we could not go to Blue eye, but the next day it was much better so we enjoyed the hike to Valbone! Thank you!
Cons: We stayed at the small stone house next to the guesthouse and the windows were not sealed good, so it was a bit cold there, but you can warm up under the blanket. The wifi is not working to good, but when it is not raining the whole day, you won’t need it at all. :D :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beds were very comfortable and our host was very helpful and welcoming. Our host also kindly gave us plastic bags to keep our stuff dry during our hike to Valbona, without them our next night would have been miserable!
Cons: The accommodation building was not quite finished and ideally the bathroom would have a door rather than a curtain, however this didn’t really bother us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very warm welcome, great breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff, atmosphere
Cons: a bit cold at night, but ok it's mountains ;-)

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and rooms were great.
Cons: No WiFi in rooms
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location - this guesthouse is the one closest to the start of the trail to theth so you don’t need to worry about lifts or trekking further than you need to. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The exterior of the guesthouse is beautiful with a lovely outdoor seating area. The views of the mountains are incredible.
Cons: The food is plentiful but didn’t blow us away. The room was clean and pleasant but a bit dated - it could have been a lot nicer with very little effort although we weren’t really there for the nicest room so it didn’t bother us too much!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great stay in an absolutely stunning National Park. The hotel is in a fantastic location to access the hike to Theth and many others as well. There is one staff member who speaks great English and is really helpful. The breakfast and the food was excellent, and the room was very comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel in Valbona valley. Fantastic room with comfy bed and great view. Bathroom small but ample with standalone shower. Staff were attentive and friendly and arranged pickup for us to do the Komani ferry the next day. There's a restaurant on the ground floor which does tasty, cheap local specialities like trout or lamb. It's also pretty much the first hotel you get to if you hike from Theth like we did, which shaves ~3-4km off the journey, which was very welcome. They also did us a lunch for the ferry day for 500 lek.
Cons: Hairdryer didn't work in the room but otherwise everything was superb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Just great and incredible. Staff really nice, in particular Miri (unfortunatly I didn't got the name very well..) was super profissional, nice, funny, and teached us some Albanian words! Nice food, seems like home! I want to come back!
Cons: Had no wi-fi in our room.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and very cooperative, especially with the help for getting a ride to Shkodër. The location is very good and perfect as a base for hikes.

Pros: the staff and atmosphare
Cons: the bath
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cozy place. Incredible views to the mountains, place to be calm and disconnect. lovely family and exceptional and friendly host!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, beautiful accommodation and lovely people. One of the best experiences I've had, it was a home away from home. I would highly recommend staying at Guest House Flodisa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's hard to find words that would describe how magical was our stay in Flodisa. The views and the vibe of the entire Theth is simply breathtaking but on top of that Florian, the owner, takes such a wonderful care of all their guests, that it was one of the highlights of our whole Balkan trip. He took time to talk to us about reality and customs of living there, he served us the most amazing food we ate in Albania, he helped us to book transport from and to Shkoder, as well as a lift to the Blue Eye hike, and at nights he even prepared a wonderful bonfire. I get emotional reminding all this and I really hope to come back to Theth and when I will I surely will stay in Flodisa again <3
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very wellcoming host, extreamly helpfull for everything, Comfortable room in the centrum of Theth, very clean. Plenty of nice and tasty food for supper /we have ordered the complete menu/.

Cons: Wifi could be Better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant; both were very good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very scenic location between the mountains (as well as the road to it from Koplik), worth visiting even if you don't intend to go to Theth. Amenities simple but nice. Very helpful staff especially Ernest. Tasty food, both supper and breakfast. Recommended to the point of being inevitable if you're visiting the mountains in the North.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and staff are exceptional. The food is local and delicious (bruschetta with amazing bread and tomatoes - my favorite one). The view from the hotel is outstanding. The owner speaks fluently English. They helped us arranged a trip to Theth with a very good driver. They love nature and respect it. Highly recommended! Thank you for the great two days:)

4.6 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent, at a quiet end of town very close to the church, lock in tower and walks to the waterfall. The room was spacious.
Cons: Check in was poor - we were shown to a room and then left, we weren’t given a key until we went to find the woman and asked for one, and then she’d lost the key and had to give us a spare - made us a bit nervous that the key has gone missing! We weren’t given any info on check in about meals etc so was a bit confusing. The room was very poor - very “unfinished”, unclean and full of spiders (I expect a few in the mountains but this was ridiculous). The towels were dirty, the bathroom was a wet room style that didn’t drain properly so left a puddle of dirty water after showers. The curtains didn’t cover the window properly so we were woken up by the light. We paid more for this room than others and felt it wasn’t good value.
7.1 Good
Pros: The dinner which is offered for 10 euro/person was delicious.
Cons: We reserved a room with balcony, but the balcony was a shared one with the room next to us. At 6 pm. there was no hot water at the room which was very upsetting, because after a 20km-long hike, a hot shower was all we wanted. The breakfast was quite poor, the bread was hard, probably from the dinner the night before and there weren't cold cuts either. When the coffee and the bread was out, you had to ask the staff for more, because they weren't really paying attention. When the place was full, we didn't have internet access, because too many people were connected. We asked for some information but the staff was answering in a bored and rude-ish way. It was a disappointment, only the breathtaking view and the nature saved our holiday.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent; Theth is strung out in the valley and Polia is more or less in the middle right next to the church. Very kind and helpful staff. I had breakfast and dinners in Polia; meals were good and ample.
Cons: In the adequately sized bathroom (WC, sink and shower) the shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom. Therefore everything is wet after taking a shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, but this is why you're going to Theth. The property's host is very helpful. We've been in the village in extremely bad weather conditions and we got a lot of help. The room is comfortable and the view is also beautiful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice interaction with the host family, good breakfast, nice outside area to sit, read and talk staff and other guests
Cons: You have to pay at the guesthouse, but connection is not very reliable and we had to pay with cash. Be prepared, bring enough cash for all your expenses for your stay at the guesthouse and in the village (the closest ATM is a 2h drive down the dirt road...)

7.0 Good
Pros: The host was friendly and welcoming, the room was as expected, it's not modern but it was nice to have an authentic feel. The dinner was nice and they made an effort to cater for our dairy intolerance.
Cons: We did get sick whilst staying here so be careful what you eat but I think that rule goes for everywhere in that region as the electricity is sporadic. Unfortunately this really spoilt much of our holiday, but as I said I think this is common everywhere here so don't let it put you off. Also there are no toiletries so bring your own. It was also rather expensive and in slightly the wrong direction for the theth, valbone hike.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Thank you Petrit for your great hospitality! I especially enjoyed the location, the view of the mountains from my room and all the different kinds of rakia you can drink at shpella. The hike to the blue eye was really nice.
Cons: i didn´t like the breakfast much. dinner was also a little bit boring.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and dinner. We went astray in the number of food changes, but after a day in the mountains - that was what we needed! Good water pressure in the bathroom, comfortable beds, mountain views. Magically!
Cons: All was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Guesthouse Shpella is a very nice place to stay, they offer very nice dinner and are very friendly.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all so good! Best dinner and breakfast. Super friendly. Fun people
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Little bit further away from other guesthouses, so it’s quiet with beautiful view on the mountains. Host arranged transport back to Shkodër. Lovely “family dinner” at the big table inside.
Cons: Combination of toilet ans shower was a bit strange :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful hosts and lovely food - would definitely recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We especially loved the evening meal - lots of traditional Albanian food, served for all the guests together. Good location to hike to the waterfall and canyon!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really helpful staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We have been very happy with Nik’s family. Their hospitality were perfect and nice.. and food are delicious by home made well-being..
Cons: The cost of transportation from shkoder to property are still high even for the hotel guests anyhow it could apply by bed and dangerous mountain load..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: "Vellezrit Guri" is a wonderfull place for a family visit in Thethi. I was there with my wife, 10 months old son and my setter dog. Owners were so welcoming and nice and very interesting and helpful on guiding us through the valley and telling new and old stories on mountain and village developement. The view from the rooms window was spectaculat. It looks like the full wilderness and spectacular landscapes were a part of your room. Food was so good and traditionally, fresh and served in a vey warm and polite way. My hunting dog found another hunting dog (Niks's dog) to play with and run around. I will for sure go back to this place and try to stay at least 5 days, one need to really get inside the village and the area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a private room with a balcony. The room was clean and comfortable and the views are amazing. Note that it takes up to an hour to walk to Theth from the hostel but they gave us a ride into the village the morning we were going for the trek to Valbona. They served us food when we asked and what we had was all cheap and delicious.
Cons: We did feel a little out of place since there was a festival going on in the village and all the staff seemed preoccupied by taking care of large groups of national travelers. We didn't feel very welcome and sometimes felt like the staff didn't fully understand our questions. It's an adequate place to stay but definitely does not have all the facilities listed. For example there's no pool and no air conditioning. We didn't really need anything more but they shouldn't list things they don't have! I wouldn't count on anything they've listed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful host and incredible view
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice views
Cons: Hotel stated that they have a sauna, pool and hot pool. We made our booking based on this. They had none of the above. The owner said that they were not the ones who wrote it. No action/compensation was taken on their side.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very pleasant, helpful and very friendly family! Very cosy room! Extremely beautiful view from the location /your room!
Cons: I thought I made a reservation with airco but it wasn't there. Neither was the satellite TV. Wifi is not up to standard. Bit noisy in the evening for my taste

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a pleasant time at the Villa Gurra. The staff was very helpful and responded to all our wishes. And even though it was very hot (36 degrees every day), we could sleep well at night as it cools down nicely in the mountains. :)
Cons: clairaudient rooms
6.7 Good
Pros: The bedroom was allright. The location is perfect! 1 hour hike to the canyon/waterfall. Just 10 up to 15 minutes to the start of the Valbona track.
Cons: The bathroom was terrible.. The water from the shower all came on the floor ( the sink was leaking ). During the night it smells very bad. They have a restaurant, but when we asked for the card he says 'we only still have some Fries or salad... So we went to another restaurant that have all products to prepare dinner.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was in the proper city to finish our hike. It was just an ordinary hotel. Nothing stands out. It felt like a rooming house. I don’t feel that I got much for my money. But the views from the hotel were beautiful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here after completing the Theft to Valbone hike, it was nice in the fact that this was one of the first places to stay after coming off the hike. Beautiful location and comfortable rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and comfy and the food in the restaurant was super delicious (try the Byrek).
Cons: Please fix the toilet seat!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the guesthouse is perfect and it seemed pretty new build. The house is mainly made out of wood and the furniture is mostly new and very clean. The WiFi was unexpectedly strong. The breakfast ist simple, but good: boiled eggs, pancakes with fig jam, bread, butter, sheepsmilk cheese, water and freshly brewed black tea. The hosts are nice and some have very good English skills. It is a good starting point for amazing hikes (Grunas Waterfalls, Blue Eye).
Cons: Our toilet seat was pretty ratchet, but I wouldn’t expect too much from such a remote area, so it didn‘t bother us very much. And side note for anyone who wants to get there with their own car or a rental: the way up and down after the mountain pass is doable but nothing for a tender-hearted driver. Just go down slowly or if you are unsure: call the owners of Villa Gurra a day ahead and arrange to go down with a minibus (they usually have Jeeps or bigger off-road vehicles to go down and up that road).
