The location on Lake Annecy is beautiful. The staff is accommodating and the food is excellent.
the arie and nice and quiet
The staff was very attentative, warm and friendly. The hotel setting far exceeded by expectations. The fact that some of the staff spoke english was very helpful. The view from our room was spectacular. I thought the room furniture didn't fit the upscale feeling and price of the hotel although the bathrooms were wonderfully modern.
The abbey provides a unique travel experience and its location is both picturesque and easily accessible. The hotel staff is very professional and accomodating. The website and photos accurately depicted the hotel, the rooms and the surrounding area.
Stunning location and building. Received complimentary upgrade to lake view room.
hotel location and atmosphere is excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly
The quietness and privacy greeting staff could be friendlier
Staying in a really old place - it was great
Location; food; staff efficiency and hospitality only French TV channels available; no elevator
Very agreeable staff, fabulous location, good lakeside facilities and outside breakfast/dining. Absence of air con a real problem as it was hot when we went. Also absence of lift a particular problem for my wife, who has restricted mobility. We asked for ground floor when booking, but were told on arrival no ground floor rooms exist. The room we booked was too small, without bath, so we had to upgrade at our expense, although we were given a special rate when I asked. We did not like the fact the hotel was crowded with visitors to exhibitions in the public areas, and a wedding caused the restaurant to be closed without notice on one evening.
Staff very friendly and very comfortable
Breakfast was reasonable They charge 12 Euros per person to use a small room that has some gym equipment and a small jacuzzi. In most hotels this would be provided on a complementary basis.
nice rustic hotel; efficient, clean, good value for money with good facilities ideally it would be closer to the slopes, but it is not a major issues - still walking distance
The staff were very wellcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent
Good Value for money and very friendly saff + clean. No Luxury here but the beds are comfortable and location is ideal close to shops restaurants and 5 min walk to the ski lifts (best to rent your skis by the ski lifts so you don't have to carry them). Rooms are noisy so don't expect to sleep after 8am.
Great location, clean, friendly staff, good value for the money, ok breakfast.
Very reasonable, clean and certainly a higher standard then a UK 2 star!
We could stay in the room until 2pm on the departure day without paying extra. nice location.
Delicious evening meals , atmosphere very nice and friendly staff but poor breakfast ...
The hotel owners were just lovely. They were friendly, helpful, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They also spoke English which was an added bonus! The location is brilliant, in between a couple of villages, both of which have great lake beaches and all the facilities that they offer. We were also by the Col de Forclaz so lots of energetic cyclists around! The breakfast was delicious and generally we had a great time at the hotel.
staff was very helpfull...location of the hotel is better than the others at the city-center. Silent but close to everywhere..the rooms are well designed. We stayed at the second floor on the lake side... although it was stated tahat the otel is close to the lake; in reality it was not.
Very friendly service in a very clean and comfortable hotel.
Easy going, easy access, clean, quiet, nice environment, pleasant owners. I just think the breakfast should be included in the room price.
Staff were excellent and very keen to help. Hotel was very new and beautifully maintained. Lovely views. Delicious breakfast.
Comfort, very quite, nice weather, good for cycling and swimming. Best way to stay a couple of days to relax and get out of stress :-) Nothing special
Fantastic view from large top room Light materials make this hotel noisy.Must pay WIFI (I purchased Orange 1 month /unlimited for 20 Euros ,which I can use anywhere in France) Not available in the room.
Quiet, clean and a good price
The view from our room was stunning, also the room was very clean and the buffet breakfast was very good
The staff were friendly and helpful. Rather outside the village if you like active nightlife it's a bit limited.
I loved the wind through the mountains and the sound of it in my room Lack of an elevator
Nice rooms - good for a family. We got the 5-bed family room, which was really 2 connecting rooms. This was perfect for us. The kids and adults each had their own room and bathroom. The breakfast was nice as well - yummy croissants! The views from the hotel were nice too. Sound insulation could have been better.
Staff friendly and helpful poor sound insulation
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was perfectly positioned. Will see you next Year... na
Friendly and helpful reception staff, and the fantastic setting. Rather tired looking furnishings and no hairdryer. Shower and bathroom were very small
A lovely, turn of the centrury hotel with individuality. Breathtaking views, great swimming pool. A prfect place to get away from it all.
the wonderful position and excellent food and great service no
the hotel is stunning and with a little more attention to detail, namely servicing of the pool area, could be outstanding. I think it could reach 4 star standard in no time, if that is what it wants. Too many stairs. I have breathing problems and found it rather difficult to get up and down from the hotel to the pool area - my husband spent an disproportionate amount of time moving me around from one level to another by car. The hotel has a couple of "buggies" for use of the staff - it is a pity they do not make them available to guests. Also, the restaurant was a little pretentious and too expensive.
Location and setting is superb If booking try not to get a room on the 4th floor if possible.
The location and view were very good. Peaceful and relaxing. Thought that the breakfast looked poor, we decided to have breakfast in the village which was much better.
The location is second to none. This is absolutely wonderful The staff is nice but could be more professional (no one to take your lugage for instance, not a big deal but this is surprising for the standing). Some rooms are really small. Ask for description before booking.
Fantastic location on Lake Annecy. You will be disapointed if you don't book a Lake view room. Excellent facilities. Will visit again.
The lake and hotel was lovely The staff were unfriendly to the point of being rude and did not make you feel welcome
Very smart hotel with good facilities in excellent location. We liked the indoor pool and our room overlooking the lake. We were disappointed with the breakfast. People were queuing for tables .There only appeared to be one waitress who was trying to lay tables and restock the food. Not what we expected for a smart hotel like this.Very disappointing breakfast.
The location The dinner menus, the breakfasts, the lack of porterage and staff generally.
Staff were especially helpful, and hotel room well kept up and in very good condition. I truly enjoyed my stay. I did not use the restaurant. nothing to think of.
Very close to the ski lift. Large comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Plenty of hot water for baths. Helpful staff. If you do not speak french then dinner will be an unknown surprise, the food is local fare and it is a set meal so no choice although they would i'm sure be accommodating if there was a dislike. The directions to the hotel from booking.com were very confusing, use a different auto route.
Good location for summer hiking and well placed for touring the northern Alps. Spacious, well appointed bedrooms & bathrooms, efficient & helpful staff. First class food - extensive breakfast buffet and fine dining in the evening.
Friendly staff, good location, fairly spacious room, new bathroom, balcony off our room, parking nearby. The beds were quite low.
Room very nice for a family of 5. Balcony and great vue to the Tour The Franc and the alps. No.
Close to the centre of town, modest but pleasant pool and spa for children to use.The room was comfortable and in house restaurant good. Fire doors adjacent to the room was very noisy and was used excessively early in the morning.
We were upgraded to the Hotel Carlina next door at no extra cost. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Plastic sheets under the under sheet which made the beds very uncomforable and hot.
Fantastic continental breakfast every morning. Very basic but very comfortable bed with views of the mountains. Good shower with plenty of hot water after a long day of ski.
Bealieu is a typical family hotel. Not luxurious but functional and cozy. Great hotel staff service and personal approach. It was quite cold in the rooms because the door to the terrace didn't close optimally (and -15 C outside)! But hotel staff did everything to improve things (providing extra blankets and improvinf heating performance).
very overpriced for a 2* hotel, terrible value for money
the hotel was situated very close to the centre of La Clusaz, perfect for the Apri Ski, the use of the sister hotels facilities / pool was perfect. All round an excellent value for money hotel that I would be happy to reccomend
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They spoke english well enough to were we did not have any difficulties communicating. The hotel was well situated in the center of town and was surprisingly quiet at night. The hotel is a bit older and the room was on the small side but was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was overpriced for what was provided. It was not bad, it was just very basic with only a few selections. In hindsight, we would have been better off getting something in town for the same price.
The room contained towel dressing gowns, and the lift on our floor went straight down to the large swimming pool, which is indoors, and heated. There is no tea making facility in the room.
at breakfast I asked a cappuccino to the waiter and he said "with chantilly". I said "no, without please" he replied "our cappuccino has chantilly". I think he just did not want to do one for me. Note : we were only 4 persons in the restaurant
excellent position with village, and matched description. Staff polite and helpful with good english! Fascilities were well kept and clean. Only extra I can think of would be tea/coffee facilities within the room.
Beautiful setting, comfortable room, friendly staff and generally good service. Lounge not very comfortable, food okay but menu very limited, bathroom a little tired, with cracked floor tiles, a disfunctional shower bracket and a half hot towel rail.
The hotel area is nice, it's located in front of the montains and only a few meters walk from the city center. The rooms are really nice and mountain style. The swimming pool is also really great and the jacuzzi in front of mountains is perfect ! One thing I didn't like, moreover I hate ! Is that I did the reservation with booking.com, it was perfect, I knew that in my reservation I didn't take breakfast, but it was ok for me. But when I arrived at the hotel, they told me that my reservation was included the breakfast, so cool .... I went to it ! :-) But when I came back to pay, they charge me more for the breakfast 12 €/one pers ! I think it s not fair and incorrect.
Very relaxing atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The closest I have ver stayede to the ski slope, which was very convenient.
Excellent location. Very cosy and comfy hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom would be the only thing I would add.
Wonderful position above La Clusaz. Easy entry to for Walking / Cycling the Cols.
Nice atmosphere, good facilities and location to the rest of the village.
Reasonable hotel - room was good with excellant view. Car parking very poor - underground park can scrape bottom of your car unless very careful. Breakfast only average.
Very central. Room clean, warm and comfortable, although toilet room very small- knees touched door when closed.
The room was kept spotlessly clean over our two weeks stay. The reception staff in particular were extremely helpful and friendly and helped to make the stay very pleasurable. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and really good value. The location of the hotel was within 2mins walking of the lovely town centre and also ideal as a base for the surrounding mountain ranges and lakes.
New hotel, spacious rooms very welcoming, lovely location very friendly owners a real delight None
We liked the tranquillity of the place, the vicinity to the center of the city, the education and the acceptance of the staff. We like have dinner in hotel.
The spacy room. Good view. One supermarket is just nearby. The breakfast is very good. AirCon inside. The recptionist can speak English very well. 30 minuutes from hotel to Annecy Center. The strange thing is Auto checkin can not find the resevration number from Booking.com. And manually check-in time mentioned in Hotel(1700~2000) and Booking.com(1000~1930) is inconsistent. That caused me lot of trouble.
Great Hotel. Very clean, confortable, smell free and with a good selection of TV channels.
Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room with good shower, excellent breakfast, in attractive small town within easy driving distance of La Clusaz skiing.
